I don't understand how ESS - Source4Teachers can advertise that Forbes Magazine rated them the best employer for 2017 when in their employee handbook states that your not allow to use your cell phone during your lunch hour. Did they pay for that endorsement!

Poorly Managed organization. Lack of training ,guidance, and leadership. substitutes are grossly under-paid for there services in comparison to other organizations such as swing, insights, and working directly for school districts. furthermore they have a poor reputation with many school districts throughout the state of new jersey which is evident in its re-branding efforts. "ESS formally Souce4Teachers" many school districts have begun to part ways with this organization. my advice if you want proper training,leadership, and a competitive wage. apply directly to the school districts.

I have being employed with ESS for more then a few...

I have being employed with ESS for more then a few years. I enjoy working for them and the districts they serve.

The Organization mission is straightforward. ESS provides staffing needs for school districts. I see some negative reviews for the organization, and would like to present a positive one, with some facts to support.

The School Districts, I serve in New Jersey, have extremely responsive Field Managers. Questions are answered quickly; We recieve guidance, offering(s) of long term positions, along with other opportunities for financial gain.

Some benefits are Medical/Prescription assist, eye exam. I have taken advantage of the 401k offering, and life insurance with a yearly fixed rate that cannot change for 10 years, excellent!

Another benefit is working as support for schools with the ability to long term sub or accept daily work assignments. Lastly, a positive benefit is working with local districts, without paying for contractual obligations, i.e. union dues, contract benefits, and mandatory PD days.

The company would earn a 5 star rating in my book if they offered a legitimate PTO.

The organization does a monthly raffle to winners who have served 5+ days in a month.
This is the motivation to win small dollar awards. A more attractive venture is earning days off, Paid Time Off, PTO.

My challenge to this organization would be to offer PTO to gain that long term employee(s) work force in desired districts.

Example, An employee works 2 months full time, no sick time and receives, .375 days pto, for that time worked. ESS can do the math to see if that incentive works. I think it would to promote long term positions.

Good company, some extra perks would build long term commitments..support in $$ from ESS.

The process was as arduous as it was unclear. This was truly an emotional gauntlet that pushed me to the brinks of my patience and general sanity. Bear witness to the bureaucratic process at its absolute worst and wretch in the fact that you must partake. 5/5, would do again.

I've been with them for quite awhile. I like the convenience. But the pay is ridiculous. Even if you work every day. Seven hours with kids is a lot of work,so the compensation should be higher.

A mismanaged company to work for. You're not going to get paid for the jobs you signed up for, because you are not needed. Call the company and they'll respond by saying it was a computer glitch. Company CSR's are rude, and it's not hard to see that they are unhappy with their jobs. I'm so sorry to be part of this company.

Look fwd to leaving them. You want support reognition and decent pay. You'll get none of that! My coordinators have phone numbers Barb Larr and Keely Kramer but you won't ever hear their voice. No conversations allowed. It's a numbers game and it makes me sick to work somewhere have no boss but not be an independent contractor. God help them.

Mismanaged company, can never get ahold of people then when you do and you are asking question about insurance they tell you that they don't handle it, you get the run around.i would give a lower star but won't let me do a 1/2.
