Excellent staff that really takes care of guests. From the front desk to the food service area, I give it top ratings. Joe Davidovitz and his crew are in constant motion addressing your dining needs with fantastic results. So many great people that truly care about your stay. Will be guest as often as possible.

Clean and quiet hotel with large comfortable rooms. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful at all times. I love the location, you can walk to the harbour in about 10 minutes and be among a huge selection of eating and drinking establishments.

The Crowne Plaza is a very nice large modern hotel. It is very centrally located. Its staff are nice, friendly and helpful. The room has a large desk, loads of electrical outlets, an iHome Bluetooth clock radio, shower/bath with good water pressure, couch, aromatherapy drops (which I did not use)....
There is a very well equipped fitness center that is open 24 hours a day. It has two each of rowing machines, ellipticals, stationary bikes and treadmills. Exercise machines, free weights, balls, mats, etc. There are also saunas.
The breakfast buffet is excellent with many choices. There is an omelet station, cappuccinos and other coffees, a wide selection of teas including many loose ones and tea pots, lots of fruit choices, cereals, various nuts, lots of pastries, muffins and good banana bread, good breads including tasty whole grain ones, low fat and soy milk, a juicer/smoothie machine with vegetables, ginger, etc. to use in it. One morning there was salad, smoked salmon and curried vegetables but not the other day.
Be careful if you get up from your table to get something, though, as the staff are too quick to clear things- we had our nearly full plates removed with all the food wasted.
Note: You need to use your key card to get the elevator [lift] to go up.
The hotel s restaurant is called Aria. The food and service are okay. The only complaint I would have is the Hapuka fish [$34] was much too salty. There is salt on the table, people can always add it, but you can t take it out so restaurants should be careful not to overdo it. The roast vegetables [$9] were very good- I recommend them. The carrot and cauliflower soup of the day [$18] served with sourdough bread and the farro salad [$19.50] were fine. There are plenty of wine choices with a glass $12 and up. If you are an IHG member they take 10% off the bill.

If I could give 6 starts I would. I don t usually go online and give reviews, but had to. Crowne Plaza was amazing, from super friendly staff, to quiet rooms, comfy beds and amazing food. Best hotel we ve stayed at in Auckland. Will definitely be back :)

A very pleasant stay. The room eas comfortable and clean, the location was excellent with heaps of nice eateries nearby. The staff were amazing and kind. Our only issues were our room being a little noisy at it was next to the elevator shaft and being charged a fee to have our room service tray retrieved. Otherwise we were very happy. Thank you

Had to inform reception about x2-3 male of similar nationality (hotel security blue-vest) experienced creeping behavior which I gave time, location and dates.
The door security team on the ground floor sit on their backsides all night through to morning and acted dumb when they had relevant information and paperwork communicated to them beforehand.
Other issue was health department team downstairs were acting slack when I had to coordinate external exemption travels. This was around June 2020 so maybe different now

Big Hotel mid city. Walking in the hotel sits amoungest food places so very strong curry smells. Check in was ok not overly done. They gave us wrong room booked so had to go back and sort that. A bit of a wait while they did as hotel full. Room 24th floor. Room clean and comfortable. Coffee needs replacing think old. Coffee machine coffee not great either. Nice robes and slippers to relax in. Beds very comfortable. Pillows great. Lots of toiletries. Didn't use resturant facilities or bar.

Beautiful place to stay for holiday. Close to everything. Staff were so friendly and accommodating especially the manager. Their breakfast was so delicious and the chef will cook something if you have severe a lergies. Well done guys and thumbs up to everyone there.

A little overpriced for the quality of the hotel. Rooms are a bit dated and dark. They also charge for wifi if you go over a limit, and even after charging you, there is a quota. WiFi is pretty slow so I'm not sure I'd recommend it as a business hotel.

Had things stolen from my room. Even after hotel staff identified that the cleaner had been in room over the time things went missing they were unwilling to address the issue. They said I probably misplaced the items. I didnt.

Horrible experience. Cost me a lot

Great place to hang around as food outlets are nearby and there are sofas in the vicinity where people can relax and chat for a while. Wifi with internet access is free for 30 minutes only or up to 50Mb whichever is consumes first.

This has been a fantastic hotel experience. The staff have done a fantastic job of looking after our team as we stayed at the hotel for several days for meetings. The function rooms were fantastic.

The hotel beds were absolutely incredible and soft offering a great night sleep. There were so many pillows to choose from!

The best part about our whole experience was the buffet breakfast.

Overall, I can't wait to return to stay here again.

You'll find really great service here and the location is close to the art galleries, banks, cafes, shopping and the wharf.

The room itself wasn't as modern as some of the good hotels in Melbourne (Park Hyatt, Intercontinental and Crown) and the room furniture seems somewhat old and worn.

Getting a free upgrade to a club room (including free breakfast and drinks/canapes in the club lounge) was a nice treat.

We decided to go on a "staycation" at the Crowne Plaza in Auckland a few months back. We chose this hotel because of our IHG membership. Of all the IHG affiliated hotels in New Zealand (except Holiday Inn Auckland as we haven't tried staying there yet), this hotel was at the bottom of the list. The front desk and housekeeping personnel during our stay was okay, not too friendly or welcoming but helpful. The cleanliness of the room that we stayed in was quite questionable as there were strands of hair here and there especially in the bathroom. We are still giving this place 4 stars due to the overall size of the room, its location, and the welcome champagne that we received.

Clean comfortable hotel, which is well located in central Auckland. The staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean, tidy and have the typical array of amenities. A nice place to stay.
