Fantastic hotel located in downtown Auckland. One step away from the skytower and several restaurants and businesses. Abundant breakfast of anything and they make you personalized french omelets. Comfortable to go to the airport with the skybus stop a few meters away. A walk on queens street and you are in the port. Large and super clean rooms. Very nice and helpful staff. In a FANTASTIC word.

Have visited this place to attend a conference. Overall the facility is not bad, clean and presentable. Have had buffet lunch in their restaurant, which was of solid average quality, nothing fancy. Probably depends on how much one wants to spend... Overall a positive experience. Would consider staying there as a guest if need be.

Absolutely loved it!! Amazing room! Amazing view! Awesome staff! We were so well taken care of. Our breakfast was so so awesome, a huge variety! Within walking distance of many awesome eaterys and sites. A great bonus, the Sky tower is right there. Would stay here again and again. Highly recommended.

Crowne plaza is simply the best place to be in CBD auckland. The location is a thumbs up, just a minute away to THE WAREHOUSE(Dept store)and another 2 minutes to COUNTDOWN Supermarket and another minute to the famous Queen st. The Sky tower is just a block away where the first & last drop off of the explorer bus hop on hop off. For the hotel itself, reception staffs are very accommodating, helpful and cheerful especially Jeoren and karla and for their restaurant ARIA, all the staffs are rated 5 stars esp. SHERLYN, I love her ,she's very attentive and cheerful, she even gave me chamonille tea for me to have a sound sleep since I told her I find it hard to sleep ..It was a wonderful stay..highly recommended BY: VIOLETA MADRID of Philippines.

Best hotel my family has ever stayed at and will definitely stay there again when in Auckland. Buffet breakfast is the best thing ever. Not over exaggerating. Has a fresh juice press and such a great variety of yummy foods. The only thing was the omelette station guy on the morning of Saturday April 14 was RUDE as heck so I just went with scrambled eggs and they were yummy. Enjoyed great cocktails in the lounge by really polite and lovely bar staff. The beds were dreamy after sleeping in an RV all week and they supplied us with a cot for the baby with was very helpful and the overall room and bathroom were luxurious. Lastly they were so helpful with organizing a shuttle to the airport the next morning saved us a lot of money and hassle. Thanks Crowne Plaza :)

Very comfortable beds and the service we recieved was warm and kind - Clare was excellent and accomadating. The facilities were clean and impressive. Parking is in the Atrium where there is plenty of space.
The location was also excellent being in the heart of Auckland, it was only a 2 minute walk (could be even less) from the SkyTower and from the main shopping district.

Comfortable, well located property. Attached parking lot is a plus. Staff is courteous and you can expect the usual IHG service. However, possibly the worst internet in Auckland! I've been staying with them several times over 3 years now and it is as bad as it was the first time. Not sure why.

It has the most convenient location and very welcoming (warm) staff. Totally recommend to all especially for families!

The counter staff at the reception made my son's birthday so extra special with complementary cake and lovely birthday wishes. :)

Nice centrally located hotel in the city with plenty of adjacent shopping and nearby attractions and entertainment.
Rooms are modern and well equipped and re sa so ably priced by NZ standards. On my list of places to stay if visiting Auckland again.

I stayed for 5 nights whilst on business in Auckland. Taxi ride from the airport will sting you between NZD70-100. Hotel is right in the centre close to all the shops, bars and typical city centre lifestyle. Check in was easy and the staff were very welcoming. I was on the 26th floor but didn't have a great view (hotel opposite!), so ask to go on the east side instead. Also, Auckland has some major long standing road/tram works going on, so ask for a high floor to avoid the noise as best as possible. Rooms are well equipped with everything you need but I found the beds to be UNBELIEVABLY soft and not to my liking. WiFi signal is good. Gym is ok but considering the size of the hotel, I would have thought it could have been bigger.
Biggest advantage the hotel has - it's super close to everything and ideal for exploring the city centre. So, overall its an ideal place to stay, with well equipped, clean rooms and close to most things.

Great location, amazing and super complete breakfast.
The rooms are old but quite big and comfortable, as usual for Crowne plaza.
I'll visit again if in Auckland but they should refurbish the rooms a little
Price is ok, not really cheap but ok

Clean, modern rooms. Good to see that they have recently brought in nicer toiletries (which I collect for my niece) as previously they were rather basic. Appreciate being able to open the window a little to get some fresh air.
Room service is quick (average wait until door is 20 minutes), and priced like usual room services $20-$40 NZ for a decent main meal.
You are unlikely to be stunned by the views but it is so central that you are a minutes await from great restaurants, bars, parks and more.
Is also competitively priced with similar hotels.
Always friendly reception, some have good sense of humour too :)
I do like the aromatherapy bed mist this chain introduced over the past couple years, definitely freshens things up.
Is connected the to rear of a shopping mall with elevator, which comes in handy as Auckland has some rather steep roads.
The room was always cleaned by the time I returned and allowed for a late checkout.

Let me start by saying the location is fantastic, and the staff are friendly and helpful. My stay was overall pleasant and good. One small thing I can't get past though. There was a brown smear on the toilet button in my room, and well there's really only one reasonable assumption as to what it may have been. I cleaned it off myself rather than bother housekeeping with it, but wven for such an easily overlooked thing I can't help but think that they really should have noticed it. I mean, I certainly did right away. I'm willing to consider it a one-off oversight, but still, it made an unfavorable impression on me. That REALLY should have been caught when they were cleaning the room after the last guest (or however many it may have been there for). Putting that aside as much as I'm able to, the hotel was fine otherwise.

Unfortunately my room was not clean. There was long strange hair on the bathroom wall and in 2 of my towels. I also had strange hair in bed.
There were also stains on one of my pillows that looked like dried blood.
Otherwise some furniture is rather old-fashioned. The bathroom very old. The carpet was dirty in the corners.
I'm moving to another hotel, unfortunately it was nothing.

It is connected to a shopping mall and food court, it is well located, convenient and beautiful hotel, and the restaurant on the first floor is lively with people of colorful atmosphere on the weekend.
As elevator operates with card key, it is safe.
Business center and gym are free for guests. There are probably few users in the sauna, so it is not always available, so if you want to use it, you need to set it yourself.
Flat white for breakfast and vegetable juice made with a free-use juicer are also delicious.
I was surprised to find something to order, omelette rice, and Nantes. The spinach inside was raw, and it was an egg cappapi.

Just got back to Aust after a final night in N Z at Crowne Plaza Auckland, stayed there last year and loved it, had another fabulous stay this time . Offered a special rate as a Priority Club member and chose a Queen Room on 28th floor. Only down side was the noise from staff in room next door preparing for breakfast in the club lounge. Staff very efficient and helpful. I was able to manage the sound system and the T V easily , not usually my forte ! Loved the furniture the bed was fantastic, and there was the biggest shower I have ever seen and a huge bath what a plus.

Gorgeous hotel. Pleasant staff and sptuous rooms. Only slight criticism is that I rang concierge twice and they didn't reply. Annoying because we were chasing a lost bag from the airport. Otherwise very very good hotel and centrally placed
