Great place loads to do but at a cost for most stuff

Love Crieff Hydro, always great service. Real family hotel with excellent facilities that we have been coming too forever. Be aware that this is a family hotel, so be prepared for lots of kids but lots for them to do. Pool, outdoor spaces with games and trampolines, bouncy castle, games room, daily schedule of activities, horse riding, zip lining, mini golf, driving range. Most activities are included, some cost extra. Always jumping during school holidays.

However, for groups, the lodges are excellent value and during term time you can grab a real bargain.

Golf course is nice and has lovely Perthshire views. Grounds are beautiful and you can walk/run up the knock (the hill in the grounds) for a refreshing outdoor experience.

Attended a Xmas party night, our 10th year, and it keeps getting better. From the staff who I deal with regarding booking to the waiting staff at breakfast the following morning, all are excellent, will be back for our 11th year in 2018.

We had a great day here, the weather was fab, the food was fab and th e family day out was superb. The staff at The Hydro were very attentive and pleasant. Nothing was too much trouble their were 17 of us including children and would definitely return for a similar day.

Staying in a modern, well equipped lodge on the grounds. Staff have been great and we've been impressed by the facilities so far.

Great cottages, hotel services and plenty activities

Spent a few nights here for a short break. 3 1/2 year old loved the Big Country, wife loved the spa and swimming pool, I was just happy to sit around and relax. Staff excellent, room great, food pretty darn good considering the numbers they cater for. Will be going back again.

Stayed for 1 night. Room spacious. Food was amazing in the Brasserie - steak cooked perfectly. Didn't have a chance to do any activities but there are so many options you could spend a week here and not get board. Will defo be back

Booked two nights via Expedia. Got very little sleep as it was a party night for both nights which means that people can party outside your room till 5am. Not sure why we were given a room just at the beginning of a corridor. On the other hand spa is good and you should definitely try Victorian spa. Food is good, but don't expect anything extraordinary.

Beautiful location, roorm was very high standard and breakfast very good. We didn't get to try the facilities as the weather was wretched outside and the spa fully booked, a little disappointed but next time we'll visit in better weather. The bar was a bit small for the size of the establishment and was filled (about 20 or so seats) so we couldn't sit for a drink after our dinner. Overall very good though

First time staying here and will definitely be back. The hotel is lovely, the staff friendly and so helpful nothing was a trouble. The rooms were imaculate. There is so many activities on offer its hard to chose, the guides for the activities were friendly and knowledgeable. The grounds of the hotel were beautiful. I can't say enough once points about here. Will be back for a visit again soon

Great weekend stay at the Hydro which has something for everyone, come rain or shine! It obviously appeals to families with children, but there were also couple and older family groups enjoying a stay. We enjoyed the spa and having a tasty cocktail in the cinema. Food and drinks were tasty, wit the Meikle bar/restaurant being on the pricier end. Some parts of the hotel could probably do with a bit of sprucing up - there were some quite creaky and uneven floors. But on the whole thumbs up.

Always on the ball with promotions and events. Briliant customer services and will always remain a favourite of ours.

Hotel is great, facilities spot on, very kid friendly and food and drink prices are very reasonable. However breakfast was disappointing, a lot of it was burnt and tough to eat, potato scones appeared to have grease oozing out them when cut in to. Didn't spoil the stay but breakfast not as good as usual.

Food was awful. Chicken Kiev was dry, scallops were overcooked and breakfast was cold, no black pudding. Good for families but not for couples. We were booked into an executive room but there was no fridge or view, apparently we were upgraded, however we did not need an extra bed in the room as only my husband and I.Charged for PPE in spa without prior warning, I could continue with more complaints. Would have given no stars but not an option.

Fantastic get away in the Perthshire hills located in the nearby town of Crieff, the hotel has many activities available to both young and old.

Great relaxing break we our 3 boys. Totally set up for families with something for everyone.

Very comfortable weekend stay. Highly recommend. Very pleasant and helpful staff.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, we tried lots of activities and sampled goodies from each restaurant. The cakes in the winter garden were delicious! Our eldest enjoyed two sessions at the big country kids club. The staff there were wonderful. Cant wait to go back, we're already planning our next trip!

Popular hotel, well run with five restaurant s and innumerable leisure facilities, the Meikle restaurant is our favourite.

Came here with wife and son. Website leads you to believe they have several restaurants to choose from. Not true in January, most of them closed. Also lifts and wheelchair lifts were not working in a few places. The tone was really set when we tried to check in a few minutes before four and were told we need to wait until four. Never been treated like this in any other hotel. Don't think we will bother going back!

Nice place to stay - rooms have recently undergone a refurbishment. 2 Restaurants on offer - one a bistro style and one a bit more upmarket. Both service excellent good. Has a mini cinema on-site and an activity centre where you can go quad biking, off-roading and do archery etc. The Victorian Spa is well worth the additional cost for the day - very relaxing and no children allowed if you like a quieter day. There is a larger pool for the kids if you want to do that however

The service in the Main restaurant was excellent. The waiters set the table up for the birthday dinner and sang happy birthday with the cake all dressed and lit up. Highlights were Also the log cabin accommodation, the Victorian spa and to top it off our massage treatment before going home.

Very nice place to stay. Lots of activities to do for children including child care. Breakfast very good and all restaurants serve good quality food. Rooms very comfortable and maintained to a high standard.

STILL family run - and that says a lot. This venue is highly recommended on every level. If you like the idea of a certain amount of luxury, but without the "corporate" feel, then this is the very place for you. No question.

Lovely location, great room, fantastic food and nice staff

Lovely stay, food was absolutely brilliant. Roman spa was slightly busier than it has been on our previous visits. We stayed in the leigh signature suits and the room was perfect.

The Hotel is pretty good, with excellent facilities. I used the pool, Sauna and Steam rooms in the mornings before breakfast and enjoyed it fully.
I was vext we didnt have enough time to try out more activities.

The one time we ate in the Brasserie it took 30 minutes before we even got our order placed, then another 30 minutes before our food came, luckily we werent in a rush.


Also mistakes with our other families rooms that all had to be sorted before checkout.

I would have liked Air Con in our room as it was hot on the night.

The reason I didnt give the Hotel full stars was because of the wait at Brasserie, and the issue with charging us extra. Wouldve like more facilities in our room with the price we paid for each night.

I would like to come back though in future and do more and see more.

Accommodation was reasonable but the breakfast was pretty poor .

Came here for a friend's hen party afternoon, we did shooting the 2 young guys were super really knew their stuff and made our experience really good fun, lunch was super. Our Segway experience was great too and of course the cocktail making was very good and we got to drink the cocktails we made! Great fun day. Would recommend.

We've been coming on family holidays for the past 60+ years. Usually we get a lodge and stay for a week or so - the facilities for self-catering and dining are excellent and we always make good use of the sports facilities. Couldn't really ask for much more.

Lovely rooms in the main hotel. Cracking view of the surrounding hills. Fantastic food and available activities, but dropped a star due to service. The hotel is busy, but servicing some at the expense of other guests is not acceptable in a resort of this standard

Room was nice although said had bath and separate shower but only had shower over bath

Out of my budget, luckily I was not paying for a wonderful stay

Beautiful setting. Lots of kids running around. Our first room was super loud and we couldn't sleep. The management rearranged some rooms and moved us which was better. Lots of kids activities here. Kind of expensive.

Place is very good. But it needs more smiling and supporting staff.
