Nice location for a holiday. Plenty to do for all ages within the hotel complex and much is inlcuded in the price, nice walk up the hill, soft play, swimming pools, decent play Park, tennis court, and cinema. Other activitys including riding, pony rides and lovely cafe, which you could use if your budget allows are avalible too. The location is not normally affordable for us though, (as a single income family) however our stay was a much appreciated gift! We stayed in one of the comfortable and good sized holiday homes.

So unless you could talk to a chef then it was a bit pot luck and l have endid up with a problem. Not nice the staff are young and from all over the world which is great and makes them intresting to chat to but it is a problem. The rest of my stay was great the place is lovely and and staff so helpfull..l will go again

Had a great time. Room was smallish but as it was only 2 people for an overnight stay this wasn't a problem. Service was fantastic. Every member of staff we dealt with were polite, friendly and helpful.

Cannot fault it, I've been well over 10 times now and I always keep wanting to go back there just such a vast range of things to do you have to keep going back. The rooms and staff are lovely and the area is pictureess and natural. The hotel itself is a lovely mix of modern and classical style which doesn't feel dated but feels fitting for all it offers and the area.

Like Butlins but many times the price. Premier Inn has better rooms. Rooms are only cleaned when you've been there three days. We tried to leave after the first night but we'd booked for two and they wouldn't give a refund as they'd taken for both nights when we arrived.

Lovely place. The walks are amazing. The hotel is massive. If you like that kind of thing. There's 3 restaurants and the buffet breakfast is massive. Room wasn't that clean though. Mold on the windows. Ripped seats and the bathroom fittings were cracked and coming loose. Kind of puts you off. Especially for the price you pay you would expect a far better room. Disappointed

Brilliant! Delicious food and fantastic service. Stayed in an executive studio which was pricy but worth it. Seating area and own parking space and a very short walk from the main building so quiet and private

Pretty poor and basic. No fudge which there was supposed to be. Executive Suite supposedly but pretty poor. Was our 10th Wedding Anniversary so wanted something special but they ruined it - didn t even get breakfast in bed as the card you leave out was still on the door in the morning - they forgot to come round and get them. Basic hotel 101 stuff...

we had an awful time at Crieff Hydro

we had an awful time at Crieff Hydro

We had a meal in the brassier and our desert cheese cake was served still frozen we asked for it to be returned only to find the same dish reappear it appeared that as the decoration and carnish was missing the contents had been removed heated and scopped back into the dish and returned to us Dreadful food hygenie rejected food should be rejected and a fresh meal served its basic.

In the morning the so called hot buffet was cold and the counter assistant was seen wiping the counters into the food and not away from the containers my wife found a piece of plastic and reported it only to find the assistant picking it out with her fingers MMM

We complained about our cold breakfast to a waiter who had difficulty understanding us and was seen talking to the chef who then started ranting in a foreign language at the waiter no apology to us the customer or fresh breakfast offered. I honestly have had a better service at travel lodge.

Needless to say most of my family came down with stomach bugs I am still feeling unwell some days later.

The activities were overpriced and certainly do not offer value for money the quads were clapped out and badly maintained our daughters got stuck in the mud and had to resort to pulling out the quads as reverse gear was broken the "instructor" lead the group as slowly as she could obviously trying to save fuel when I accelerated i was warned with a red card and told I would have to walk back.

When we were waiting which we seemed to do a lot of as the corporate clients were better treated there were lots of other parents complaining about the activities every activity cost extra even the cycles.

Do not go to creiff if you want good service and good food it looks good on the surface but when you really look into corners etc its dirty and tired my daughter had what looked like a camp bed stuffed into our room

Crieff hydro are trying hard to copy the likes of Center park with no effect very expensive break with dreadful service

This is our second time staying at Crieff Hydro. Both times, we stayed at the lodges, not the hotel, due to bringing the dog with us. We made full use of the hotel facilities while we were here. Setting is gorgeous despite the fact that it rained non-stop during this visit. Hotel is only a three minute walk from the lodges although the path is very steep in parts and might be a challenge for some.

The hotel itself provides 6 hours childcare a day and we made full use of it - in fact our kids wished they had more time to spend in there, they loved it. Evening entertainment is really good for families, the DJ is great with the kids (and adults!). If you're there for a couple's break, there are plenty of cosy nooks and crannies for you to find so you don't feel bombarded by screaming kids. (Miekle bar is a nice mix of cosy and lively.)

Staff are unfailingly helpful, any questions or requests we had were fulfilled promptly and with good cheer, really can't fault any of the service we received.

One thing about the lodges, if you're using the wood burner (you should, aside from the amazing warmth they provide, they add a bit of romance to the place too): the manual says to dial 8000 to get more firewood if you run out, but you don't need to - there's actually a large well stocked wood store at the top of the road near the path down past the tennis courts to the hotel.

Great self catering lodges but food in hotel shocking.
We had afternoon tea booked for 11 of us which arrived 40 mins late. They said due to a gluton and a dairy allegy plus a vegitarian. All had been pre warned a month ago!
The sandwiches were crusty and old with thick bread and thin fillings. Had to share jam and cream between 2 for scones. Champagne was tepid and we had to ask twice for an icebucket. They weren't busy at all but no staff looked at us to catch their eye or checked on us once.
Worse was yet to come in the restaurant next day for lunch. They ran out of the congealed starters as we arrived and we were told to wait while they defrosted some prawns. Carvery was 1 meat and 1 mixed root veg. No green veg on offer. Had better carveries at cheap pub chains.

The range of activities and the location are outstanding and it is a proper grand hotel. However, there were just too many little niggles. Dust you could run a finger through in our room, freezing cold air blown into some of the changing cubicles and malfunctioning showers at the pool, variable service levels in the restaurants, hire bikes needing basic maintenance. Some things you could put down to the age and history of the main building but some others were just a lack of care and attention. Not bad, but not good enough for the money.

As good as it looked myself and our party where disappointed in our experience.

The hotel looked very nice. Our executive suite was clean and comfortable (we did have a leak at sink so had to put towels under it. This was not noticed until we came back to room after our night and floor was very wet from water from sink. I informed reception at check out as it only leaked if we used the sink).

( i was totally surprised by this as i could hear the total stranger next to myself checking in)

As we went to dinner some other customer's who came in just after us went to take a picture at the christmas tree and where asked to move along, they where not drunk and only wanted a picture.

I will send an email to the hotel and state my issues. I am not the only customer to feel like this.

If you are booked in for a stay then enjoy yourself and hopefully the hotel will sort this ridiculous booking system.

We visited Saturday 5th to see Santa. Really not sure how it was going to be due to Covid restrictions. We went last year and loved it! This year we weren t disappointed. They have moved Santa to a more spacious area of the hotel. All children and adults were social distancing. Staff kept masked in at all times. The show that was put on by the elf s coco and tinsel was great. They gave 100% and made us laugh eveno the kids just had loads of blank looks on their faces. Typical reaction for kids. We also went for coffee and cake after which was lovely. They have a fairy trial outside which our 4 year was happy to walk around. Well done guys on a great day out for my family!

The staff all of the were so nice!

The staff all of the were so nice!

One of our party is vegan which we made the hotel aware of when we booked. The the miekle restaurant and brasserie both presented a vegan menu. At breakfast the chef made a special vegetable crispy thing which was considerate. However even so, its not really a great breakfast if you're vegan compared to the meat eaters having an abundance of choice. We played badminton, used the gym, did clay pigeon shooting, cycled our own bikes. All brilliant. I tried to book a treatment for me and my daughter but really you have to do this in advance as the only thing available was an express facial for one person the following day.
We stayed in a cosy cabin for 5 as we brought the dog. It was good to have space in the sitting area, however the bedroom space was too small. Not enough space to walk around the double bed, and when the third single bed is pulled out from under the bunkbed, it's impossible to close the door. My son ended up moving the mattress and sleeping in the sittingroom. One thing I found personally distasteful was that there were animal skins on the floor, and a skin covered foot stool. Maybe other people will think that's nice. I'm giving a 4star rather than a 5star because of the bedroom door unable to close when the third single bed is pulled out, and the tinyness of the double room.

Lovely place. The only problem is that staff had to wear masks for their whole shift. I worry about the impact of this on staff. It seems wrong. As a customer, if made me feel bad and uncomfortable. It stopped me being able to hear what they said clearly and rather than being reassuring, it spreads fear.

Alot of money spent with what is a over priced hotel. Resturant takes hours to serve food, if you have babies or children it a long wait for your meal order especially at night even when you start your dinner at 5 .15pm, and even then they dont get the meal choice always right. Several health and safety issues, tables wobble, lamp shades falling apart. Base camp with indoor extension leads trail through windows. New under 3 play area great, next to big country, but no sadly a platform at end of room with 2 lots of 3 steps up, put child gates on each side then maybe mums or dads can relax without having to jump up all the time to stop babies falling from platform. Very over priced water and for the price of the food it could be served hot on time and the whole order. We've been going to Crieff Hydro for years but no more.

I was there for a conference and the place is absolutely amazing. Our organization wanted us to be somewhere peaceful so that we could concentrate on our tasks at hand and succeeded in doing so. The entertain staff helped us keep our moods high and the food was fairly decent.

I certainly recommend the Victorian Spa if you have the chance (it costs a little extra but it well worth the amount you pay). Also check out the small village.

Got a massage it was meant to be 50 minutes it was more like 35. I complained and it was poorly handled, I was told to pay anyway and they would call me another day about it. I refused to pay full price and subsequently complained again when I got home and I have been offered a free one, not much use since it's miles away.. the rest was good lovely views and food.
