The Crieff Hydro website is possibly the worst booking website in Scotland. Trying to navigate through it is challenging for 2 people who have vast experince of booking holiday accomdation through websites. After putting in flexible dates for self catering for up to 8 people it gave us virtually no credible information. Moreover the front page of the website is full of hype. When we tried to book self catering accomadation for a week the website took us back to the start of the process. Something that should be so easy to do, book a holiday, has become a complete chore. Whoever designed this website needs to use it themselves
with fresh eyes to see how bad it is .

Crieff Hydro is a stunning hotel with every conceivable amenity in beautiful Perthshire countryside. The food in the various restaurants is of a great standard and the rooms are bright, clean and spacious. The staff are superbly approachable, helpful and professional in all circumstances. A flawless place to stay for couples, families and groups alike. We will definitely be back.

Where to start, first of all the room we were given had a view of air conditioning units or pumps then we discovered there was no toilet paper so we had to get some sent up. The bed supposed to be a double was in fact two singles pushed More

Went for Afternoon tea. Large building with no signage informing you where to go to once parked. We were in the Winter gardens, decor in that area seemed very tired. Afternoon tea was ok. Probably 6/10. Wouldnt visit again.

Everyone is made to feel welcome, loads to do with high quality food in each of the restaurants. Breakfast is brilliant grounds magnificent room was very clean and cosy with facilities to make your on tea or coffee. But. The room overlooked a paved area with two doors into the hotel used by smokers and staff. The paved are had two industrial ventilaion duct outlets and was a route for luggage brutes. Not too bad but the window was stuck open about 30mm at the top so every word could be heard unless the vents were blowing, then you could only hear the fans. The windows are single glazed sliding sash with a 720mm cill height which is odd. The two doors double banged every time they were used and they were used a lot. No sleep saturday night and left the radio on all night on the sunday night which helped. Knackered. The good is very good but missing a good night sleep.

Even though there are a lot of people resident at the Hydro of which many are elderly who need that extra bit of attention ans aid the staff are still very pleasant and cheerfully helpful, well versed in their particular responsibilities. Why we keep returning.

Stayed in one of the 3 bedroom Lodges at Crieff last week family of 5 plus 2 friends joined us. The lodges were spotless and very spacious. Have paid much more to stay in a smaller lodge at Centre parcs and they were filthy! Crieff hydro is beautiful and plenty for the kids to do. Peaceful & Quiet where we were staying. 803 was our lodge number. We all loved the swimming, went every day. Kids favourite. Phoned the Spa to see if I could get treatments (which I doubted) as I never booked in advance as it was a last minute decision to book Crieff and to my surprise got myself plus a friend 2 treatments each booked in at same time no hassle. Both enjoyed our treatments Full Body/Indian Head Massage/Detox Body Polisher/ Indian Head Massage. We ate in one of the hotel restaurants called The Brasserie two nights in a row, food was fantastic and the service was good. Got the Cote de boeuf 1st time was great, defo worth trying. Myself and my family were so relaxed and chilled out we all didn't want to come home 5 nights was not enough. Tried to book for October break but unfortunately it is fully booked. Will be more organised for future school holidays.

We stayed in a lodge which was fantastic but the rest of the complex could do with a major look at. We were at the furtherst part of the estate and if you wanted to go to the hotel to use or eat at you need to use your car and especially at night because the road wasn't even lit if you wanted to walk, plus side its quiet. Center Parc would be a better option

Hotel was great as was the dining options but was let down by the spa, paid for a 2 hour spa session and ended up leaving early as the were to many people in the 2 hour spa slot we'd booked, which kind of spoilt our trip
