What a deplorable company. Each time I've contacted them I get lip from the collector and payments are not taken on time which puts me further behind. A bunch of inept cretins doing lousy business.

Lost my job and I notified them and they still took over my bank account . I don t have any money to pay unfortunately but now they have a court order against me I ve been paying I just couldn t pay the last bill
This company would like to take 1/3 of your hard earned money while you are in one of the worst economic downturns that we have ever seen. Congratulations to one of the worst companies ever.
This company called trying to collect my personal information and when I asked would not even tell me what their company does until I gave them all my info. I, of course, refused because they wouldn t identify their company or what they did. Any info on if these people are legit? I have received nothing about having an outstanding debt anywhere.
Scammed me out of 1000$ and duplicate billed me. Original bill was for 800$ and they charged me illegal interest that they added on. Then once I paid they said they lost the payment confirmation. Luckily I have the cleared check from my bank as proof. They still want to take me to court. See you there!!! I may even get my 200$ back plus pain and suffering since that extra is causing family troubles and making other payments be missed. They are scammers and grifters!!! Don't pay them unless you can prove it and make sure it's for the amount YOU ACTUALLY OWE!!!
I was actually surprised to see such low reviews. Yes, they're a debt collection business. I've unfortunately had to deal with debt collector before and they've actually been the most pleasant group I've dealt with. They've always been very accommodating and helpful. My bill was split up into several small bills which I was confused about but they sent me all of the appropriate paperwork as required by law when I asked for it. (I've had issues with other collectors refusing to do this, or at least being extremely rude about doing it) My only complaint is that they don't seem to have an automatic bill pay set up but it's not that big of a deal overall.
This Place is a Complete Joke and I filed a Complaint on them. They put a Negative Remake on my credit report. I have proof this was paid. They tell me they can't take off Negative once its on. That is Total BS. I work in Finance and do collections. Do not trust these people and I work for a Huge company. I will do everything in my power to make this company life Hell. Just as they did with me with fake reporting.
Remarkably unprofessional first contact even for this industry. I received a voicemail stating that this call was from a collection agency and a phone number. They provided no indication who in the household they were seeking, a case number, what it was regarding, or even the caller's name.
If you need to use a debt collection agency, chose a more professional organization.
After disputing the claim I had no record of on my credit report, a letter was sent with a bill totalling 113.40 from CSC in representation of Sound Physicians of New York, Brookhaven Hospital office. It was a debt from years ago, that I had not received any mail towards. I paid all other medical debts I had correspondence for in full. This is the only one I had to hunt down since it was a negative report on my credit score, but I had no bill to match it to since I had saved every bi since losing my previous employment over a year earlier due to health.
They sent me a letter for $113.40 owed. On 7/12, within a week of receiving it, I paid it after a long discussion with a young lady that somehow that amount was not the full amount that I owed due to interest. If I owe interest, than the statement of what is owed should have included the whole amount. The customer service worker said I owed a total of $149.70. That should have been on the statement sent to me. I was prepared to pay 113.40, so I did on 7/12. I hope they understand that legally, additional interest cannot be charged on interest.
I am still waiting for the letter for the amount paid and the remaining interest owed. It's now past a week since the payment posted, and it is not like they have a web service to keep up with accounts and make payments to avoid staff, and their business being two hours behind on operation doesn't help me either.
Credit Services Company took possession of my medical bills (post-insurance coverages) that I was either not made aware of, or fell between the cracks. I was able to work with them to find a manageable payment plan. Having very limited experience working with collection services, I kept my guard up as expected. That stated, they have been easy to deal with as I have been making monthly payments. Yesterday, while scheduling a monthly payment via the online portal, I mistakenly did not change the "payment amount" to reflect our agreed upon payment. Instead it populated for the remaining balance ($2,600.00!). One month before Christmas, this would have been devastating to our gifting ability. The payment went through and I once again was on-guard as I rushed to call them to see if there is any way that they could help me out on this overpayment. The card cleared, they received authorization and approval info so in reality, they had my money-payment in full. I spoke with a guy as he relayed the information to his supervisor. He assured me that I would see the funds returned to my account the next day, thus allowing me to be able to go back in and schedule the agreed upon payment amount.
To my surprise, I checked bank information (check card) and the funds reversed back into my account! I am glad to report that Credit Services Company did what they said they were going to do, period.
As previously stated, I have very little experience working with collection services. I am well- aware of the horror stories/reputation that this industry has gotten (sometimes well-deserved I am sure) but I will tell you that being upfront with Credit Services Company and working with them on a solution has worked to my advantage. At the end of the day, it is MY debt that they are attempting to collect.
Ive dealt with debt collectors before and they used to work with what you can afford to pay but boy now these days its wrong to offer that. They dont care if you have a family to feed or keep a roof over your head or kids to take care of.
Taking money from hard working people without any notifications. Then you call them and they say we will be sending the money back to you in a month when they can just take money within a week s time. I m done dealing with with company and I will be reaching a legal team on this.
We needed a statement saying a debt was paid in full in order to apply for a loan so we drove to their location and were in and out in less than 5 minutes with statement in hand. Location is a little hard to see because there is not a dedicated entrance or obvious sign.
I find it interesting that this company would continue to report monthly on my credit once the debt was PIF almost a full year ago. I'm not talking about removing the collection. I'm talking ongoing and persistent reporting. I may have to contact the CFPB regarding a possible FDCPA violation.
This company is horrible. Not only do they charge a huge interest to your bill they change account numbers and dates. The owners of this company should be ashamed and any person sending accounts to them should be ashamed. Companies like this are ruining any chance for poor hard working blue collar people to even survive or get by. I made regular monthly on time payments to the original creditor and this company doubled the amount due to them. The Credit Bureau should shut this company down.
This company is very unethical , I'm a former employee and the on-site environment is a very high schoolish unprofessional. I completely provoked no one and was treated poorly. Internally it allows hareas ament of it's employees it is no surprise that the company would harrass it's consumers. I totally agree with the 2 star rating of this company.
I can't believe I am writing a 5 star review for a debt collector company. I want to give a shout out to the guy Chris I spoke to on the phone the last two times: he has been awesome and helpful.
I have used this company for about 2 years now to collect our noncollectable and overdue amounts. I don't expect a collection service to be popular with people that owe money, however if you want your debts collected, they make it happen.
I called to let them know that I was going to be a bit late with my payment. I get paid every other week. When I got paid I made my payment just to find out that they garnished by pay check after I made my payment for the month. I am so angry! If I had known they were going to do that, I would not have made my monthly payment
I know they are a debt collecting agency and who want to write a nice review about a company collecting a debt. With the way the world is these days I don't like to just give people my payment information over the phone. I want to check to make sure they are a real company.I personal think that is smart. I tried to take care of my debt that I didn't know that I had. I never got anything in the mail and that can't leave me a voice mail because they can't leave VM on business lines. ( I didn't know that and apparently I'm suppose to). I didn't pay the amount so I could do my research and the person I spoke to just filed with the court. I was never told it was going to be processed in 2 days but I guess it's there policy. Strange I don't remember having a job with them and reading the employee handbook on the policies of the company. I guess mine got lost in the mail. So now I had to pay my bill I owed plus the price of them filing the debt with the court. They need to train their people better in describing their policy's so people have a chance to not get charged extra because they want to do their research before getting scammed out of money. Like I said before we live in a world where we get phone calls from fraudulent people hoping they get someone who will get scared they own money and just hand over their information and they take all their money.
Asked them to send me my bill and they said can you prove you paid it. I can prove I paid it but have not received the bill. Bill was paid by C.I.C.P. years ago. SEND ME THE BILL.
This is so true, they report to the credit bureau, then when you call they tell you you have a lawyer attached to it so the can't gave you any info, a smart way to add interest on your acct.
This company is the worst ive ever delt with. They have hounded me for the debt I owe, and added a whopping 25%. Then have garnished my wages 300 a month. I cannot have my own place now, and must find new employment after 26 months at my currant job. I would throw a party if everyone in the company died a violent death.
Ok peeps, most of you will not appreciate what follows BUT I do have some first hand knowledge and experience with this company and no I do not work this company. First let me say I do NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT, give five star ratings very often! that being said this is my objective experience and facts as I experienced them. this is a business that does what nobody wants to do per say, ( and may I say can be HIGHLY emotional) and that is hold folks accountable. Whether you think it's fair or not THEY did not "do this to you" if you have an account there it's because a business you dealt with wants their money for services rendered.
Businesses come to them to help collect money owed, their (CSC) customer is people that hire them, not the people that owe money. That being said, The owners try really hard to stay in compliance and often times ahead of state and federal laws.
The owners are conservative in nature, and it shows. They have a strong commitment to treat debtors fairly and with respect while staying focused on what they were hired to do. Trust me, there are far worse collection companies out there be thankful you don't have to deal with them. Overall, this is a credible company to work with.
As I mentioned, this my experience. If I had to hire a company to do this type of work they would be on the short list if not first choice.
I had debts trying to be collected from a previous name and was afraid it was fraudulent and so I did not pay it. After my credit score was dinged I contacted the company; they were not fraudulent and they helped me through my problem with good customer service. No one likes being sent to a Credit Collections Agency but the CSC seemed to be honest and helpful.
They are horrible. I got into a mva (lady ran two stop signs and t-bone my driver side). I was and am not responsible for any of the medical bills. This is from 2012 and this company is harassing my credit report, then have the nerve to attach fees. They are a horrible company!
This company is just awful. My father passed away from COVID 6 months ago and they continue to send me collection notices even after I've refused the mail and have written "deceased" on the envelopes. I am not responsible for my father's debt and the minimal amount of life insurance he had, I paid as many medical bills as I could. I can understand this company wants money owed for a debt, but I cannot give you what I don't have. Continually bothering me is not going to pay off the debt so please stop. Thank you for the "canned" reply, but I don't want contact from your agency, nor will I contact ANYONE from your agency. This is not a matter for me to resolve.
This company is horrible I ve been calling for the last two years making random payments and not once was it mentioned I had a judgement against me. So I ve been going thru the process to buy a house and just now after two years of going thru the motions to pay off all my debts it was not mentioned at all that there was a judgement.
In short: this company does not excel at informing individuals of existing collections accounts or ease of access once an account is discovered, once you've got them on the phone though they are very professional, informative, and friendly.
The long version: I had no idea I had a collections account until credit karma gave me a notification, which is always significantly later than a collections account is opened. I called to pay in full but found out they're a 9-5 M-F operation which is very inconvenient and frustrating (although there is something to be said for giving your employees weekends off to spend time with family and have a regular schedule). I also discovered that they had in fact tried to call me previously, but the phone number shows as "Scam Likely" on my phone. So then I tried to go to the website to pay that way, but needed an account number from a letter I never received to create an account to pay, and there are no options to look up an account by name or SSN which is also very inconvenient and frustrating. Due to these things I had initially given a 1 start review but have updated it to 3 because when I was finally able to get a hold of them, they were very friendly and got my accounts taken care of quickly, and also explained that it may take up to 75 days for my credit report to show that the accounts have fallen off and why, and why their number shows up as scam likely.
I honestly think that this could easily be a 5 star review with the simple addition of the option to search for an account to pay on by name/DOB/(and/or) SSN on the website.
This company skirts the law they are required to attempt to contact you before legal action is taken they never do then they try to garnish wages without notifying you of court dates etc... I would rather be jobless and homeless than pay a dime to this company. When asked to refer debt back to courts collecting they refused sham company.
No possible way I have any debt yet have been getting spam calls regularly despite my voicemail clearly stating it is illegal for them to be calling me as I am on the do not call list and have no debt. Have reported them to the FTC and FCC several times and hope they get taken to court for scamming innocent people especially during this time. Should be ashamed of themselves.
Scrupulous debt collection company , they pay process servers that leave notes on your door saying they have legal court papers , and the note says not debt collectors that's a big lie, I called the supposedly process servers she said she didn't know what the court papers were because it was a closed envelope , they handed me an open document, untrustworthy company.
I never received a civil notification but apparently there was a court date. I did not show up so the court agreed they can garnish my wages. 25% of my income!! So now I have to file bankruptcy cause the debt is so small a lawyer won t waste their time in filing a appeal. I already have a garnishment called children. Not left much of a choice but to file bankruptcy. Can t survive and feed my family on 75% I did call and try and work out a solution with them. tried to setup a payment plan was told they have had that case for over a year and they didn t care. I certainly hope one day this business gets in some financial and or legal trouble and they get no mercy either.
To all of you who think they took care of your problem you'd better double check your credit. I paid off a thousand dollar plus medical bill and found out a month later there was a 197.00 remainder on my account. I called several times, and got documentation that I was clear of debts from csc. The told me they corrected the problem and the amount would fall off by the next credit report. Not only has that not happened, they now have the gall to try to sneak a collections on this amount, without a call, a letter, or anything. As far as I can tell, this amount might be related to the copayment of a 3500 dollar drug test I took. I was behind on the bill at one point, and finally got a letter that I owed the debt so I paid off everything I owed to the company itself, as they hadn't sent it thru collections yet. However, I have no way to know if this is the charge again, as today they are taking New year's Eve off I guess. Thanks for the sneaky and underhanded attempt at collections now, and a real thanks goes out to credit karma for alerting me about this. You have my phone number, you have my address, you control the destiny of my credit. So, to all you customers who think your account was settled in full, guess what. Check your credit history immediately and good luck getting anything straightened out and fixed through csc. Now to csc... Print your "we at csc... Canned response, and maybe think about the people whose credit you damage, and the ramifications they have to live with and deal with. Happy new year csc! Update-. Left a message 4 business days ago about this charge, including my phone # . No call back as of yet. 4 days.... Thx again for your customer service, Csc.
These people are soooo rude, and let me explain why. I currently work for a collections agency that does the same work they do and let me tell you our motto is maximum recovery with care. These people are just not someone who id want to speak with and I can say that because I know that when I call consumers I try my absolute best to make them feel like were going to help them in every way and these people just want their money. They don't care about people other then the money and that's not what they should be caring about.
Ceara was amazing she helped me get my bills paid that I owed and saw I had paid for such a long time and made arrangements with me after having paid $22.000.00 and with her help I was able to close on my house Oct 30 2018 I am so grateful for her help and kudos to her ...all I can say people pay yours bills they do not go away Thank You Ceara
I have nothing but a high remark for Dayland Taylor. I was transferred 3 times asking for my payment history. He was the 3rd and since account is paid in full, he was not able to get me the history directly...it went to his supervisor. Dayland stated he would reach out to his supervisor and have it printed out. I can come and pick it up on Monday (since I requested on Friday).
Dayland (I hope I spelled your name correctly)....You went above and beyond. This is Customer Service!!!! I APPRECIATE IT!!!
Extraordinarily rude and patronizing. Refuses to acknowledge receipt of any documents I've sent them, continue to call and harrarss me claiming they never got them, but then demand that I pay over $500, before correcting themselves in the next call while never admitting they tried to duplicate the charges. The woman who called me today had me broken down in tears. What happened to decent common courtesy?
Credit Service Company is staffed by incompetent people. For the first time in my life I found myself in collections because I could not afford to pay off a substantial bill brought on by one emergency room visit to Memorial Hospital. Even though I was unemployed, I made an agreement with Josh to make affordable payments to be taken out of a specific bank account each month. I scraped the money together and deposited to the account each and every month. They kept calling and harassing me about payment saying there was no money in the account when there was and steadily growing each month they did not collect. They obviously do not have the technology or the aptitude to handle electronic bill pay transactions like all the rest of the legitimate companies in the 21st century do. I spoke with at least a half dozen different account "specialists" and played the same cat and mouse game about not having funds in the account. I finally ended up in court and and paid them off with with a credit card as I now have a job. I just wanted this unpleasant chapter dealing with this stupid and incompetent company to be over. And owner, don't bother sending me the same boiler plate response you sent to others. Your staff must be desperate for a job or bottom of the barrel talent. All these reviews can't be wrong. Your company just sucks and you know it.
Worst customer service reps ever! The lady was taking over me, patronizing, and extremely resistant to listening to my desires. I realize few people like dealing with collections, but I've never had an issue in the past. This was the worst experience of my life! A disgrace to all those in customer service.
The struggle is real when in debt. The money we pay towards our debt was used to provide food for my baby and family. Now where struggling with everything money wise.
