Friendly service and nice atmosphere (just don't sit in the back of the restaurant). Food tasted like Asia has gone West. Still not sure whether the dumplings I ordered where actually ravioli. The whole basement (where the toilets) are smells after the smoke taste they put on the grilled chicken.

I went here with a coworker last night and it was PHENOMENAL! The service, the food (drunken noodles, chicken spring rolls, duck buns, edamame) was perfect, the cocktails were original (with a great spirit collection). We will definitely be back! Couldn't have been happier.

We had a really enjoyable meal at E&O. I m disappointed it took me so long to dine here.

We had three dishes. They were, squash salad, cod cooked on a wooden plank, drunken noodles modified to be spicier than average and with minimal oil.

The squash salad was extraordinary! It s a must have and is served with pomegranate, grapefruit, squash, little gem lettuce, toasted nuts and a curry yogurt dressing. This was the WOW of the meal.

Shown below is the cod. It was a very nice piece of fish, although just slightly overcooked. It perfectly separated into morsels with one s fork.

We also had the drunken noodles which were solid.

I will return here.

We had a great waiter who was very attentive and visited our table often. One in our party was vegan and she had issues with her Pad Thai dish. However the waiter promptly had the dish prepared without the tofu and soy sauce as requested. My food was good. Prices were on the high side. Wine list was large and again kind of pricey.

Booked here with short notice on a Friday night and they were happy to accommodate us on a busy night. Greeted and sat immediately. Very nice atmosphere and great food with nice presentation. Good selection of Asian dishes. The only glitch in the whole evening was an order of shaking beef which appeared Cooke on the outside but raw inside ( I mean raw, not rare). Notiford server who took it off our bill and made it up to us with a complimentary dessert. I was happy with that. Well hand look ed with an apology to boot. Would definitely return. Good restaurant.

Review not a knock on the food or ambiance itself at all, but the management needs to staff better. Overwhelmed wait staff at 1pm meant we waited 21 minutes from being seated before anyone even acknowledged us, let alone took our order. Duck bun appetizer was incredible, but not a place I can try to go to again on a lunch break.

Great place for a quick Asian inspired meal. I did not have a reservation but was able to be seated with in 5 min.

I would recommend ordering several small plates and sharing with the table. There were two in our party and shared 3 small plates which was perfect. We had the Tamarind & Hoisin spare ribs, chicken satay and Pork pot stickers.

Spare ribs had a great flavor but slightly on the small side. Chicken satay had a great sauce and flavor. My favorite was the pot stickers that I would highly recommend.

The bar area was very lively and had a good vibe.

Overall good food for a good price with nice surroundings.

Fantastic food and service

Fantastic food and service
The crew of E&O was fantastic accommodating my needs. Came solo and they essentially surprised me with a 3-course meal (including dessert) that was delicious and very delicate mixed of flavors in all cases. They did my wine pairing, letting me choose between couple of options every time.
Highly recommended!!

Probably the best happy hour food in this area, as well as the best prices. There are also craft cocktails for $6 that really are excellent and pair exceptionally well with the food. If you are going with another person or persons, order the pupu platter, it gives you a great overview of what is offered for happy hour and you can order individual items from there. There are also dollar oysters on the half shell which are well worth the price. My cousin Chris turned me on to this place last year and I haven't stopped going back yet. Stop in for happy hour and treat yourself, you will not be disappointed.

This use to be a gem and we still go here and take all friends and family.

The noodles are the best and the meat is always so tender.

CA needs more places like this.

The service is also perfect.

Food was good, but not great. Service slow, even though we ate at 6:30 to allow time to go to the theatre. Couple empty tables around us. Then they served my two girlfriends, and we waited, and waited, for my meal. Finally we flagged someone down. They said it was almost ready.

Almost hip, sort of feels like a chain, but better. Surprisingly tasty dishes and large portions. The hoisin & coffee glazed spare ribs were a particular treat, and I felt particular gluttonous as I didn't have to share them with my oddly uninterested (in the ribs) fellow dinners. The restaurant was busy, but we were seated without a reservation. A great standby, go-to restaurant.

Serving the fusion Asian food ranges from Indian to south east Asia cuisine: dumplings, satay, ahi tuna, Indonesian corn fritters, Mongolian fried chicken etc.. here with company event have a private room at basement level. Food is average in Asian standard and environment is kind of chill. Enjoy

Had the BEST experience here. My friend and I sat at the Chefs Counter and were treated like VIP s by Nelson, Hector, and Alex. The food was outstanding from appetizers to desserts. I highly recommend this place to locals and tourists alike.

Decent dinner. My husband really enjoyed the Pad Thai. However, our waiter didn't seem to know much about the menu. I wasn't able to order a dish because all of the ingredients came mixed together, sorry I'm not a fan of mushrooms, and didn't feel like paying $20 to pick them out.

Good and tasty food - a mix of Japanese, Indonesian, Chinese, and Thai. Reasonable portions that weren't too big. Went during lunchtime and it was a bit dark, made me feel like we were eating dinner. Lovely decor though!

I have been here several times (throughout the years) and whenever I return something is always different. The food remains Delicious. I would say it is more family style, and they have moved away from half chicken to chicken satays. Oh and they now have this duck in a white bun, and oh man was that delicious. The duck was so flavorful without the extra grease that sometimes comes with that plate. The chow mien was also very delicious and there was a hint of a smokey flavor that I could not place. I would recommend this place for small groups or couples. They are totally kid and animal friendly (I recently saw a gorgeous British bulldog in there) but the kids might be too picky and not like the different look of the food. Unless your kid is a foodie; then you should be all good.

Good options for small plates (which were very good) and entrees were excellent. Not to be cliche, but the corn fritters, chickpea fries and butternut squash dumplings we're great. Had the pad Thai and loved it. Service was good as well.

Very welcoming, very tasty. Servers were a bit overwhelmed by a full house on a weekday. But food was tasty, portions plentiful, and everyone was having a good time. Exceeded my expectations for dinner in Union Square area.

Living in Maine, authentic Asian food is hard to find and as ex-Londoners, we miss it! We were delighted to discover E&O Kitchen and Bar on a very short stay last year. This year we were within easy walking distance and there was simply nothing to compare. We were always made to feel welcome and thoroughly enjoyed our rotating selection of small plates. I highly recommend the melt-in-your-mouth mushroom dumplings.

The atmosphere was nice. I enjoyed our food, the gluten free dishes we had were good and I am a big fan of kabocha squash, so it was easy choosing for me. The seats a bit close, but they have a gluten free menu. All the fare is Asian inspired and they have a good options for adult drinks. The bathrooms are down the stairs, and I'm not sure if there is an elevator for accessibility...please call them. There are a lot of seating in nooks and cranies...so it can be cozy...just not where I sat. It is downtown... So, please take an Uber or Lyft.

Brussel sprouts, butternut squash dumplings, mushroom satay, eggplant were terrible. Brussels were bitter. Eggplant was too oily and had no flavor. Mushrooms and dumplings were so bland. I never add salt to restaurant dishes but actually asked for some tonight. Glad I didn t waste my money on the main dishes. If you can t get side dishes and apps right.....

A really great find. They've got very friendly staff to welcome you and a comfortable relaxing environment to eat in. The drinks list is full of interesting wines and craft beers and there's no issue with keeping you topped up with tap water. The menu is varied and exciting with something for everyone. I went for some mushroom dumplings which were unbelievably tasty and a salad which was packed with fresh fruit and a great ginger dressing. I really liked this place and would definitely visit again if I were in town. The one small point is the toilets are pretty disappointing compared to the upkeep of the rest of the place.

Way too dark. Couldn't read the menu, couldn't read the check. Half our party left because it was too dark and not able to see menus' smaller print
After entering tip amount and total realized the check was for almost double (read $198 as $108 because of completely inadequate lighting). Didn't bother to change tip amount after changing grand total. Tried going to door to read check, no good, went to cash point, bit better but by then too late, too frustrated. Food was OK, but I like to see what I'm eating.

Excellent evening meal in a nice part of San Francisco. Although small, the dishes were very tasty and full of flavour. Large range on the menu and they serve desserts. Staff were very friendly which made for a very enjoyable evening out at a reasonable price.
