Unfortunately like other reviews on service, dropped my truck off for an engine light on and back up sensors not working with an 11am apt. Drop off should have been my red flag to just leave, I had to find someone to check in not one person greeted me, and many seemed to be to busy chatting to even see a customer needed help. Second after 6 hours without a call I call for statue and I was shocked to be told that they have not even looked at it and will be tomorrow before they could. At that point I told them to leave it, I picked up my truck with nothing done to it and will be taking it to another dealership.

Purchased new Ford Escape with 7 miles from Covert in March of 2018. Current mileage sits at 7,124 and we have been in 5 times for repairs to GPS / sync module to our GPS feature, which is a several thousand dollar package upgrade. This feature has stopped working a few months after purchase and has been rendered useless on the vehicle. Repairs have been made, unsuccessfully, every time. We have been given the run around as to which repairs have been done and told it s fixed and working perfectly every time we have picked it up. Taken multiple days off work, used sick leave/loss of pay to deal with issue and no resolution has been offered besides let replace the exact same thing we supposedly replaced last week.

Updated Review: I purchased a 2010 F150 from Covert In October 2016. The truck was a one owner that was regularly serviced at Covert and the carfax reported that Covert performed a Radiator/Coolant flush 3 months and 3,000 miles before I purchased it in addition to all other scheduled fluid changes.
When I reviewed the truck before purchasing, I trusted the carfax maintenance records that were submitted by Covert; BIG MISTAKE. I did notice that the fluid in the Coolant reservoir looked good so I did not remove the radiator cap, but that would have revealed that they lied (I suspect they only topped off the reservoir with new, good fluid).
Two weeks after purchasing the truck, I attempt to turn on the heater, which gave no heat, and that's when I realized what was going on. The radiator cap was corroded so much that it broke apart when removed; the mechanic that looked at it said he had never seen one so corroded. The coolant was sludgy/milky and he said he'd never seen coolant so bad.
I drained the radiator and flushed as much sludge out as possible. I then replaced the thermostat which of course was also so badly corroded that the bottom half was laying in the intake housing. Only God knows how corroded the engine is and I pray that I don't end up with coolant in the oil..
Covert sold me a ticking time bomb.
Their Service department either lied when they reported a Radiator Coolant Flush (which I think is most likely based on the massive corrosion) or they're incompetent and they filled the radiator with the incorrect fluid. Either way, do not have your vehicle serviced there. I don't trust any of the other maintenance items listed on the Carfax by Covert.
I trusted Covert and they screwed me. When I took the truck back, they of course were unhelpful and were not willing to help with the costs to repair.
These dealerships pretend that they go through their vehicles and perform maintenance checks but it's an absolute lie. This was an obvious issue that I should have noticed before purchasing but I trusted Coverts maintenance records.

9-9-18 started at 3pm, dealership at 4pm- left at 6pm. Extremely disorganized, dirty and unprofessional. We visited the dealership on Saturday and found they were closed. And the lot was extremely disorganized with new cars intermixed with used cars and cars there for service needs. The entire inventory was shuffled together and hard to find. We found that they were open on Sunday so we called and asked about the vehicle we had saw online but couldn't locate while walking the lot. 2 hours later the sales poc finally found the vehicle. Said he would get it ready to look at. Got to the dealership 20 min later, 4pm- he (Matt) was not to be found. No one knew where he was and no one could find the vehicle. Another sales lead led us to the farthest back corner of the lot, started walking the perimeter and then disappeared on us. So we started walking back to our car to leave- a long walk back. We stumbled upon the vehicle we were searching for- advertised as a new vehicle with 8 miles on it located on the Lincoln lot. Nice organizational skills guys- good job. We found the vehicle opened- so we looked inside, found gold fish snacks on the floor, what appeared to be chocolate everywhere, scratches on the interior in numerous areas, hair from what appeared to be a pet and 2400 miles on the vehicle. We double checked the vin and sn and found that it was the vehicle we were looking for. We called and texted Matt the original sales POC and he returned a text, but didn't call per our request, and didn't offer any assistance only saying he was in the show room. So we went back to the showroom and again no one knew where he was. We texted him to call us or meet us at the vehicle and he did not respond. Another guy Tony said he would get the keys for us then he went missing as well. 2 hours into getting the run around and going thru three different sales associates we threw in the towel and headed off to the house. My wife and I busted out laughing.
What a joke. No calls, no texts, no help and NO SALE. I'd stay away from this place- there is NO management. Disorganized, they don't know what they have, they don't know where anything is, and they don't have any professionalism. Don't waste your time with this circus- buying a car sucks as it is and these clowns will just make it worse. Can you imagine service after the sale? Forget about it...

Even after finding an inaccuracy in the deal initially, the team did everything they could address our concerns and get the deal back to initial expectations. It was a great team and it was actually pretty quick from start to finish!

Terrible service. Tried to contact them by the chat service-no one was ever available. Left messages, no response (3x). Finally got through to someone who was rude and couldn't answer my question regarding a discount. Re-contacted them to inquire about an Expedition. The salesperson I made contact with was never there. We went in for a test drive , and the person we had been passed off to had NO interest in answering questions and spent the entire time looking at his cell phone. Tried to ask him what features the vehicle had and the response was "everything but the kitchen sink" said in a snide tone. No other information. Actually was dumb enough to try to come back for a 2nd test drive and cell phone boy never called me back (salesperson # 1 was on vacation). Gave up and went elsewhere. If I'm spending 50k on a car I expect to be treated politely. The whole experience was terrible and I think must have been a warning not to buy from them.

This dealership has some serious issues with customer service. From customer service request detail going missing to service managers and even Mr. Covert himself not responding to customers dissatisfaction. I brought a vehicle in to have 2 door issues and a vehicle error code to be diagnosed and corrected and have an oil change. The vehicles stood there for 9 Business days before anyone touched it and then finally get told the vehicle is ready only to find out no oil change was done nor was the error code diagnosed or corrected. The service rep said he does not show on his system that those were requested to be done the vehicle would have to go back into the service queue which could be another unacceptable up to 10 business day wait. I emailed the service manage and he responded the following day that he would have the vehicle take care of that day. 2 days later I get a message the vehicle is ready and that the oil change and final diagnosis was done for an error code in the vehicle and all tests passed and no issues found. I asked if the the error diagnosis required a computer be connected to the computer to which I was told yes, this raised a big red flag as my vehicle is equipped with an OBD device connected to the OBD port in the vehicle which tells me everything that is going on with the vehicle such as being bumped or doors being opened or when it is driven and yes it even tells me if it was unplugged from the vehicle which would be required for a diagnostic computer to to be connected to it, so they straight up lied to me. When I confronted the service rep about it he claimed ignorance, the service manage did not even feel the need to respond and Mr. Covert himself obviously think he has so much business there why try to save the relationship with one customer as he too did not feel the need to respond to an email I sent him whilst cc'ing the service managers. This dealership used to have much better customer service but as of late has been terrible and when they are caught out lying to you they clam up an everyone is suddenly silent.

Absolutely the best experience I have ever had with a dealership. Everyone was so nice, and real. A lot of times you walk into a dealership and you get this cheesy pitch and someone tries to sell you something you dont need. Not here. I walked in, was very straight forward and said "I would like to see an f150 or an expedition". Manny was very cool, and let us go on about our business, printed off a sheet of paper that showed us every vehicle on the lot along with the info for each (price, mileage, vin etc). Highlighted what I was looking for and on my own got to shop. Once I picked out the vehicles I was interested in looking at, I came back and he pulled all the keys. He allowed me to take my time with each test drive and answered each and every question I had. If he didn't know, he went and found out. The process was very long, only because of my particular situation, but he took care of me the entire 7-8 hours I was there. I am absolutely thrilled with my experience. I used to work for multiple dealerships so I have a very good idea what to expect. This place didnt meet any bad expectations and I was very happy with my overall. Thank you Manny.

Unless you are rich enough that they will cater to your every need. You are waiting a long time to get your issues resolved. It doesn't matter whether you are there looking to make a purchase or not. The parts dept is the exception to that. We don't live in Austin anymore (thank God) but this is the closest dealership to us so we have no choice at times.

I would like to share my experience of buying an used car from Covert Ford and especially with their Sales Consultant Fred Soltani. To begin with, they have very good collection of used cars at reasonable prices, before going there i had researched at lot of sites and seen few cars. Initially, i was skeptical and thought that their charges will be exorbitant, that's really not the case when i started working with Fred. I was very happy with couple of cars that i looked at and imagine that the first car that I wanted to buy got sold off in a day (its second day for that car in their lot) as i took time for making a decision. Even after this, Fred helped me to choose the next pick.
Fred is fantastic to deal with and he has very good knowledge about the engines and cars. He thoroughly understood my requirements and suggested the cars that i can look at and made my buy pretty much simple. Fred took time to research, showed and explained the choice of cars that fits my requirement and offered test drive on all. While working with him, it really did not take much time to find the right car. I am really thankful that I get to deal with him which made my experience hassle free. He was able to offer the right car and right price.
I would really recommend to look at their Priced less to sell quickly cars. I would not hesitate even for a second to reach out to Fred again for my next car buy which is not going to be far away and would recommend him for any that wants to buy a car.

If I could give them "0" stars I would. I went to Covert to look for a Lincoln Continental and to see the car in person. When I pulled into the parking lot, I parked and got out. A dark-haired female employee was walking towards me with a male employee. Instead of greeting me, they came to a car next to me and were talking about another customer for me loud enough to hear the female employee call her a C**T. Then they continued to ignore me looking. I looked at most of the stock on that side. I walked across the front of the building looking at all the cars and then looked at the stock near the used car building on the other side. I was there for 20-30 mins at the very least. No one even waved. Several employees drove by me. At on point I thought another was coming to greet me, I stead she lit a cigarette and went and sat on the edge of the sidewalk under a tree. I went inside to ask for help, and at this point, I didnt realize how angry I was. The dark-haired female employee saw ma and wouldn't make eye contact with me. The sales manager attempted to apologize to me but it was past that point and I was too angry to talk. I was dressed decently and drive a nice, customized F-150. I wasn't just looking for a joy ride. They definitely lost a potential customer. Their lack of professionalism is incredible.

Buyer beware... Do your home work on the model you want and identify the options you are willing to purchase. Pay attention the paper work during the finalization process; they accidentally did not give credit for my trade-in!! Make sure to check to see that your getting seeing the mileage on the odometer before you sign the paper work. I found out later they drove my vehicle down from Oaklahoma!! The financing process was absolutely the worst I ever experienced, EVER!!! I paid cash for the vehicle and they sent my title to Bank Of America!! It took from Feb to August of me making several several phones calls to Covert Ford and Bank of America. I finally went down to the s=dealership and said take the friggin truck back if you don t give me my vehicle title. I even had my canceled check with me. My truck (F150 Super Crew Cab) had a leak in the third brake light. All they wanted to do was t caulk it and call it a day. I had to fight with them to put new seat covers and the cried about it. These guys are in no way customer friendly, even though they are smiling and saying what they think that you want to hear. I want to hear you are doing what I expect and then I want them to rethink how to make it even better. They have a sign in the drive through to remind the service writers Do not to make any Trim repairs unless the customer turns blue in the face ( Note: paraphrased slightly). Nice policy. If you look around you ll see a lot of interesting stuff. I am not at all pleased with these guys. They open my door when I brought it in for service and hit the building with my door while I am standing right there!! I asked to get a recall noticed work done and they talked me out of it. Now I am out of warranty the issue has developed and my worst fear of having to fix it at my own expense may be looming in my near future. Stay tuned.

I am very pleased with how Covert Ford treats there pre owned vehicles nothing less could be expected so far so good and i hope to continue enjoying my mercedes benz for years to come and if im ever in the market for another vehicle cover ford will be my first stop. Buckle up, y'all, because I'm about to tell you about the most fabulous customer experience I've had with Ford to date; and it started with Manny Villegas.
I used to dive a 2017 Mustang GT and I loved it; LOVED. Ultimately, after a year of driving it, I decided I needed a bigger vehicle. I started putting feelers out for larger vehicles - this was about two-ish weeks ago. I hopped onto Ford's pre-owned site and started perusing my options. I Came across a beautiful 2014 Cadillac SRX Sport Performance around my price range (I blame my husband for making me a Caddy convert, but I mean, look at the picture). This Caddy was loaded with all the bells and whistles - HELLO HEATED SEATS AND STEARING WHEEL - and I honestly could not believe within a matter of ~18 hours, I was driving home in it.
Back to the beginning, Manny Villegas. Manny shot me a text to see how I felt about the Caddy and what my biggest selling points would be. I told him pretty candidly that I wanted to get into a larger vehicle with a lower APR and ultimately, a lower monthly payment. Manny WENT. TO. WORK. We exchanged texts all day about the car, about my car, etc. etc. Can I just mention how freaking easy and EFFICIENT it was to communicate with someone, a LIVE person, via text? With my hectic schedule, there was no way I would have made it over to Ford to just look let alone get on the phone and hash out details. Manny made it so easy to get this deal done, and he really took my selling points seriously. That alone sold the car. It is not every day, hell, RARELY that you come across a salesman like Manny. He really listened to me, even when I thought that I actually wouldn't be able to move forward. Manny didn't like that, and neither did I. But at NO POINT did I feel pressured to buy. At all. I was pretty upfront that if I couldn't go through with the purchase, I wouldn't. He understood that, and that meant a lot. I have a tendency to let myself be convinced and it was such a breath of fresh air to have someone, whose job is to SELL, to understand and RESPECT my decisions. Anyway, I left the dealership on night one without my new car. Not going to lie, I was a little bummed. But Manny promised me he would work hard to get me in that vehicle and BOY did he deliver (which, by the way guys, he literally DOES deliver cars to people, like to their houses if it's needed/requested). Manny called me to let me know that he was able to secure me an AMAZING DEAL - my APR went down a full 2% and my monthly payment dropped down by almost $200 (my husband was thrilled!). So, I happily traded in my Mustang - which again, I got an AMAZING deal on the trade - and drove home one freaking happy camper in my new car, who've I've affectionately named Reba.
If y'all are looking to purchase, lease, trade WHATEVER, Manny Villegas is your man. He is respectful, passionate about his job, loves his family and really wants you to be happy. At the end of the day, THAT is his main goal - to make you happy. Whether it be in a new vehicle, or the one you came in with and ultimately left in. Manny went to all lengths to get me into my new car. He used all his resources and really took the time to understand my needs AND financial position. If THAT'S not great customer service, then I don't know what is.
I've been driving Ford since I was a teenager, and after this kind of experience, they've gained a lifelong customer.

Wort service department in the world, every single time I come in for service such as simple oil changes, brake service, or anything at all, expect to lose the hole day just dealing with them. No body ever gives you a straight answer as to why the service took four or five hours when it should ve taken 30 minutes.
I came for an oil change. I was one of the first one in line and they told me it would take an hour. Three and a half hours later it was still not ready.
Couple of months ago I came in for the brakes and the antenna on the vehicle needed to be replace as well, and they told me it would be four hours. Guess what, it end up taking them three days, and when I showed up for my truck they had not even done my antena.
One thing for sure, I love my pick up Ford but Covert would be the last place I come to for my next vehicle.

So I had a bit of a frustrating experience with this dealerships service department but I give them 4 stars because they ended up meeting my expectations and making the situation right in the end. I brought my vehicle in for service and from what I was told one of their employees quit without warning and my car fell through the cracks and it took weeks to finally get the car finished. I had alot of trouble getting ahold of someone in the service department and was told I would get a call back over and over again. I eventually got in contact with someone in management and from that point on I received great service. For what its worth no one was ever rude to me in any way, it was the length of my car being in thier shop and how hard it was to get ahold of someone that was frustrating (I was also told the phones went down at one point so that may have played a role).
Covert went ahead and honored my requests to make the situation right and the willingness to do so earns respect in my book. Although it was a frustrating experience at times I do not believe that this is how they normally operate and it was a once off situation. I would feel comfortable bringing my vehicle to then again after seeing the steps they took to earn back my trust. I share my experience because I would personally want to read both the positive and negatives myself. They are one of the higher rated dealer ships in Austin for a reason and they certainly earned my trust in the end.
Also one of the great services they offer is loaner vehicles. I've been to a few dealerships that do not have loaner vehicles available for their customers and this is great.
If i could make a suggestion to the service department it would be to be more clear about what will happen with the initial appointment. i made an appointment online originally, called to confirm that appointment and when i showed up i was told there was nothing in the schedule. I then made another appointment and when i arrived i was told that no one was going to look at my car at that time and it would be 2 weeks before anyone could look at it. I think it would be much better if Covert was clear that when your initially bringing your car in that it is not going to be looked at at that time. And also maybe take a look at the online scheduling tool as i was told by an employee that it does not work as it should.
UPDATE** so a month later i get a text message from a covert employee asking me to give them my extended warranty information. Mind you i had left my contract with them when my car was in their shop for 38 DAYS and they had already submitted the claim. She told me that my warranty had not paid them and she needed the phone number for the company. I politely explained that i was not responsible for this and that Covert should have written the info down. She attempted to guilt me into giving this information to her by saying "i am a minimum wage worker and my job is at stake, this is a tough job". she also claimed that she did everything in her power to help me (which included telling me my car was ready and that i owed money i didnt and then ignoring me when i asked for clarification). She did claim that multiple people had been fired since i got my car back but i don't think i can trust anything said by this company.
I thought i was done with this dealership but their incompetence continues to shine through. I was told that there were additional repairs that would be covered by Covert in good faith to make up for how i had been treated but what they didnt tell me was they submitted these additional claims to my extended warranty. that would have been fine with me but they made it seem as though they covered $1,000 worth of work when in reality they covered a $30 A/C recharge.
I do not think i will take my vehicle back to this dealer unless i have to. I would also suggest finding somewhere else for your car if you can.

Just wanted to share my truck buying experience at Covert Ford and my sales person Mike Mosely. I went into this dealership with pipe dreams and left with the truck of my dreams! I couldnt believe it! Mike was so friendly and made me feel right at home. I really didn't expect to leave with what I actually wanted, which has been my experience in the past at other dealerships. But Mike never gave up on what I wanted or tried to sell me short. Instead I felt it was my truck during the whole process, and in fact it was. Called to get my SUV AC fixed, they said they were very busy but could make an appointment in 3 weeks for me to bring it in and get fixed. Made appt and brought it in Tues morning, they said they were backed up and it might take 2-3 days to get it fixed. Why make an appt and then have it sit in the parking lot for 3 days? Why not make the appt for 3 days from the appt? Anyway, end of 3 days and they still never even looked at it, just sat in the parking lot the whole time. Picked it up at the end of the 3 day since I needed it back for the weekend. On the bright side if you're looking for free airport parking this place is cheap since they didn't charge me for parking here for three days at least.

The service department is pretty average to deal with for a regular ol dealership. You usually have to return multiple times for them to get something done for you.
In my multiple experiences for getting my fusion worked on, they either won t have the parts in stock to fix your car, or won t have time to do it that day. I have tried to schedule appointments and leave my car multiple days and it s always the same result. You have to come back and spend more time there.
3 stars because even though the service department is a little tough to deal with they have free coffee, tv, Wi-Fi, and booths you can work in to make you comfortable while you wait.

We could not be more pleased with the experience that was provided by Joe, and of course my new Mustang. I was serious about purchasing the Mustang, and had done all the proper research, I called and had visited all of the Ford dealerships from Hutto to South Austin. For some reason or another I left each dealership unhappy, didn't have my specific car and wouldn't attempt to find the model I wanted, told me to pick from what they had. One dealership lacked serious customer service and I walked out. I had almost lost hope and was going to buy a Jeep then I found Joe! Just bought our second Ford Fusion (we have a 2014 and now a 2016) from Covert and I could not be happier. Both purchases were completely painless and we were in and out in under 2 hours. Pricing was simple and no other Ford dealership was close. The first car we had our own financing and were not pressured into using theirs - just signed the buyers order and on our way. The 2nd one we did use Ford Motor credit and it was again no hassle - took maybe 15 minutes with all of the numbers explained. No hard sell on the extras like insurance and warranty. There is not another dealership that I would buy a car from in the Austin area - unless I wanted a Chevy and then I would stick with the Coverts and go to the Chevy store in Hutto.

Now after a few months of ownership I have tried to bring it in for service that I prepaid for only to be turned away because they are "too busy" They will not allow me to make an appointment because it is walk in only. Ford has always been a great brand to me but I would highly advise searching for another dealer.

I love the 2017 Ford Fusion Hybrid that I just bought from Covert Ford in Austin. My wife has had a C-MAX Hybrid for 6 years and I have seen the gas that one can save. So Hybrid was at the top of my list. I looked at a couple of other Fusion Hybrids, but the one I bought is a Platinum. Because it is 2 years old I paid a very good (low) price for it. It seems to be in top shape. Covert Ford made sure everything worked and was clean. I came back over the next two days with some questions and all the staff were extremely knowledgeable and friendly.
I definitely recommend Covert Ford especially if you are buying a pre-owned vehicle.

Pretty bad experience here around October. We got a letter in the mail for some special deals if we traded our car in for a new one. I thought it was too good to be true but we went anyway. They directed us to one guy that was nice enough but seemed distracted. He showed us around the lot and picked out a car for us to test drive. We did and it was a nice ride but then we could not find the salesman. We waited at his desk for 20 minutes before he came over saying another appointment of his came in so he was passing us off to someone else. We waited another 15 with no one coming over before leaving. It seemed like because we were a younger couple he did not take our business seriously. We have been there for servicing of our ford before and we have never had an issue with them. It definitely makes me not want to continue with ford for my next car.

The sale person we dealt with appeared very unaware of our needs. The sales person tried to sell us a truck that we did not want. He went as far as to submit the paperwork for the truck he wanted us to buy and not the one we wanted.
When we finally got all the issues worked out, there was damage to the truck that we bought. the sales person did the correct documentation for the damage and promised that someone would set up an appointment to fix the damage to the brand new truck. Over 6 weeks, no sales person or service department personal called us for the damage. phone calls were made and 2 person visits. Each time she was blown off and treated as if she was not a person.
Covert Ford workers have ruined the truck buying process and the fun of owning a new truck.

Waited for someone to wait on me love how when I pull in everyone looks at me then goes to help others that pull in after me in big trucks Asked to have the battery checked because it was acting sluggish to start in the morning. Was told I just needed to drive it around to charge up the battery and if there was a problem the check battery light would have come on. On Monday I go to leave work and after getting groceries my car won't start.--- no battery light came on that day nor the previous day.
