Worst experience I have been coming here for 3 years never had a problem until last night. since I work in the starwood group we get cheaper staff rates I booked a few weeks ago and was promised a rate. upon checking in they refused my rate and gave me a rate which was more then double the promised price. My phone had died so I asked if I could borrow a phone at front desk to call my boss and sort the situation. the concierge refused me access to a phone and called me stupid for thinking I could get the rate that I always use. It took us two hours just to check-in very upset will never stay here again sad to call this Marriott quality

Nice hotel, close to everything. Lot of places to eat around. I like that the staff is friendly and welcoming. There is a cool comfortable dynamic in the hotel which relaxes me as a guest. The quality of service and attentiveness is high. I recommend the hotel for corporate and coaching events.
Location is very central, and close to subway. The conference facilities were really nice and looked recently renovated. Did not stay overnight at the hotel.
I went to this hotel for a social event and the room and it's amenity red were great. The staff seems friendly, and the lobby was inviting as well... The location is perfect for downtown affairs and it seems like the booking and payment procedures are smooth... I did not stay for too long so I cannot comment on the actual stay, but I would definitely stay here when I need a hotel downtown.
Great location. Came in for Half Marathon. Within walking distance to start line. Parking available across street. Very large and clean room. Would definitely stay there again.
This Courtyard by Marriott felt more like just a courtyard... without the Mariott. The front desk offered to upgrade us to a suite w a balcony. This "upgrade" consisted of a construction building in front of us from which we were distrubed by the noise the duration of our stay. I'm not really sure why they charge $200 for the room. It's not for the furniture forsure, which looked like mix-matched items from Kijiji. The overly compact bathroom didn't make up for it either; just large enough to step in & fall in the bathtub. There was nothing special about the bathroom to compensate it's size, not to mention we had no shampoo (only 2 conditioners & a bar of soap). Also the sink is not in the bathroom but in a seperate part of the room? These were just our initial impressions of the room. Later that night, we're snuggled in bed after a long day & find out the TV isn't working & had a technician sent to the room. Needless to say I cancelled the rest of my reservation & booked at The Hilton down the street, which was a lower price & excellent customer satisfaction.
I was invited to a holiday dinner dance at this hotel. Everything was OK... The dinner was OK...wine was OK... Washrooms were OK. Nothing was fabulous and nothing was horrible. The venue itself was also OK.. The location is fabulous!
This is a very nice hotel. Great location to walk to: baseball, basketball, or hockey games. Also very close to the Eaton Centre shopping and Dundas Square. Great view. They had a big problem with the elevator but they gave me valet parking to make up for it. A little loud but it's so close to downtown it was understandable.
staff was great.. my breakfast lady and the housekeeper miss elva they were amazing. i would recommend this hotel. not more stars because I didn't explore all the amenities so that unknown makes it a 3 for me. maybe next time when I can get a full experience of everything I maybe able to score higher.
Extremely well located as an event venue in downtown. Its staff are conscientious and the service is good. There are some points that could be improved specifically untidy or rundown washrooms. But overall a good convenient place and a good experience.
Really good rooms; very central location; Unfortunately, the Wi-Fi is as good as not available and the reception with its own SIM card is rather bad. PARKING: do not use valet parking but directly opposite to the parking garage. There the time from afternoon to next morning costs $ 9
Convenient location downtown Toronto, accessible by streetcar or subway. Complimentary breakfast that had a pretty good selection. Rooms were quite spacious and clean. Quick check in and check out
Loud noises throughout the night from the city streets, breakfast was like a continental breakfast but at a 24 dollars charge per person. The only parking option was valet, for 38 dollars per night just to find out they moved the car 10 feet forward and left it outdoors. Overall not what we are used or expect from Marriot.
Staff were fantastic on check-in, the one manager Kevin went above and beyond in assisting me with local services. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the Toronto area for business or leisure.
The neighborhood is not great, and as we can't use our car (awful parking options in this city) it's not fun to walk around to go to the main attractions with a family (crazy people screaming, overwhelming smell of marijuana even at 9am, and heartbreaking number of homeless persons sleeping in the streets). The hotel parking fee /valet is super expensive but almost mandatory. We're using cabs when we can't walk (bc distance or too late at night to be safe). The room is nice but the toilets were always blocked. Not fun with kids!!! Lots of noise coming from the heating/cooling device and with constructions around.
The rooms at this hotel are confusing on what you are getting. We booked a suite and it was in one tower and the larger regular rooms are in another tower and the standard rooms in both towers.
1). Staying in the tower with the suites was better because there are less people and you did not have to wait as long for elevators. The other tower which we had family staying in... had way more people and you had to wait a long time for elevators. 2). At the time of our stay this summer, there was another sky rise being built. And the hotel did not warn you of the construction noise. 3). The hotel was spacious and clean enough and the staff were friendly and accommodating. 4) There was not enough public gathering places. So if you wanted to just sit and visit, there s no space except the front lobby. Which was ALWAYS full. If you sat in the bar area, the shoo'ed you away because they wanted you to order. There really wasn t even space to gather to meet people on your way out. The hotel could do a lot better with that considering the size of the hotel. 5) Location was good! Close to public transport which got you all around Toronto. 6) Good spots to eat around the hotel if you don t want to dine at the hotel.
Hotel is charming. It is a very quiet hotel that feels like a little resort tucked right in to the busy heart of Toronto. Location is great. Right in the middle of everything that you will want to do while in Toronto. The staff were very friendly and professional. Price/value is very good. The rooms are really quiet. Our neighbouring room had a party one night and we couldn't hear it in our room, we slept fine. Even noises of ambulances, police sirens, typical big city noise was almost unheard in our room. A very good hotel for ensuring a good nights sleep. The 2 negative things about our stay was: (1) of the 4 elevators, only 2 were in service. While the hotel seems to not want to do certain upkeep (i think they are waiting to demolish it and build massive hotel/condo towers in its place), we had to wait about 3 to 5 minutes for an elevator every time we used the elevator, and the elevator was always jam packed with as many people as can fit in it. They should really fix their other 2 elevators so the guests don't have to travel to their room like this. Thats fairly minor in the grand scheme of the hotel stay. I would still have given them 4 /5 stars even with the elevator issues...... but the main negative thing regarding our stay is below... (2) We left a ring on the table in our room and it went "missing" while the maid was cleaning the room. it was a $1500 ring, and after a genuine and in depth investigation by the hotel, the expected outcome of "nobody really knows where the ring went" was given to us. I can understand from their side that it is only our word that our ring was taken by someone, and they did a fairly thorough investigation, it's just that something like that shouldn't happen at a hotel so I feel obligated to make it known to other people thinking of staying here. Honestly I think its not common there. The staff seem very good and were very surprised when we told them of what happened. It was partly our fault for leaving the ring on the table while we stepped out for a couple hours. It was just really disappointing, it happened on my girlfriends birthday, and the hotel only offered us $40 off our total bill which was around $1,400 which was a gracious gesture, but not really anything aligned with making us feel better about what had happened. Overall, not considering the ring being taken, the hotel experience was really good and the staff were very good. But considering the theft, I'm not too happy with my stay there.
I checked in late at night, and appreciated both the security presence and the warm welcome from the front desk, especially Hannah. Housekeeping and maintenance respond quickly and efficiently to calls as well. This property has multiple towers, and is the largest Courtyard Marriott anywhere. It is well located downtown, in an area that is not too hectic. It is steps from College subway station, the Village, and in walking distance from many shops and restaurants, some of which are open 24 hours. Como En La Casa Mexican restaurant was my favorite. The hotel lobby has been beautifully renovated, and includes ample seating as well as a fireplace. Some areas of the hotel appear to need some refreshing, but with a hotel this size, it s understandable that that could take time. Parking is $45 valet, which is typical for a downtown Toronto hotel. Would recommend, would stay again.
Beautiful room, freshly renovated. We both loved the bed, too. Walking distance to Dundas Square, Yonge Street, lots of shopping and restaurants. $8 Uber ride to Rogers Place.
Sunny from the bistro was probably an example of the best customer service we had ever received. Really on point. Nice guy made our stay more welcoming. Thanks!
Location central, rooms generous. Attention: hotel parking is very expensive ($ 47) but there is a public car park directly opposite, which is much cheaper (currently $ 27 for 24 hours). Those who like to do day trips by car can park from 4pm until 9am for only $ 9.
Never stayed at the hotel but was charged for a room. Spoke with a front desk employee and got nothing but attitude. When asked to speak with a manager it felt like I was speaking with a child. Zero empathy not results made on there end. Horrible experience from the second I walked in the door. Horrible that they have Marriott behind there name. It s undeserving.
The place was great, staff was very friendly, everything looks very professional and upper class. The lobby was a great hang out place, and the rooms had very modern furniture. The beds have to be the most comfortable thing I have ever slept on, certainly made me feel very comfortable. Location is also very convenient as you are right on Younge street.
Service and booking was easy, friendly and professional, however I wasn't informed that the bathroom did not have a lock, and the beds were fairly uncomfortable.
