Joshua Pereira Review of Courtyard by Marriott Downtown...

This Courtyard by Marriott felt more like just a courtyard... without the Mariott. The front desk offered to upgrade us to a suite w a balcony. This "upgrade" consisted of a construction building in front of us from which we were distrubed by the noise the duration of our stay. I'm not really sure why they charge $200 for the room. It's not for the furniture forsure, which looked like mix-matched items from Kijiji. The overly compact bathroom didn't make up for it either; just large enough to step in & fall in the bathtub. There was nothing special about the bathroom to compensate it's size, not to mention we had no shampoo (only 2 conditioners & a bar of soap). Also the sink is not in the bathroom but in a seperate part of the room? These were just our initial impressions of the room. Later that night, we're snuggled in bed after a long day & find out the TV isn't working & had a technician sent to the room.
Needless to say I cancelled the rest of my reservation & booked at The Hilton down the street, which was a lower price & excellent customer satisfaction.
