I purchased a car from Corwin Honda on September 26, 2015. The week before that I had been talking to the sales person, Michael Haller. I had a TrueCar certificate for an 2015 Honda Civic Si that they didn't have and then he tried selling me the Civic Ex. The TrueCar price for that was around $19400, on there it said that the destination and doc fee was already included. Michael tried tacking on a whole bunch of other fees one being the anti-theft that was already in the car he said it was $599 and that everyone has to pay for that. He tried convincing me that the Ex will have a better value in the long run than the Si and that they're the exact same car except the Si is a manuel and has the spoiler and red H emblems. He proceeded to tell me that he can throw in those items for free to include an apple hdmi cord if i got the Ex. At this point i should have walked out of the door. I repeatedly asked him about the $19400 being what i will be paying for and he tacked on doc and destination fee which i then told him that it states that it's included in the amount. He told me that's incorrect. As a first time car buyer i didnt know all these things. I had done some research before going in, but not enough. Michael kept pushing to check my credit even though i told him i didnt want to yet. He acted like he knew so much about cars, but when I asked about the 2016 Civics he refused to talk about them. Anyways I end up buying the vehicle. I then went into the finance office and these people tried selling me warranties I forget which one i got along with the paint protection. They didnt even know what they were talking about and were so pushy. At the end the amount came to be around $27,000 and the payments were going to be $400+ a month. I was so dissatisfied. How on earth did $19,400 get to $27,000? I drove all the way back there from base the next business day, I was in the Air Force, base was one and a half hours away from the dealership. I had them fix my contract and had them explain everything to me again. I was still not satisfied as there seemed to be some hidden fees. Since I was in the military I got a "$500" discount. I ended up not getting anything, not even the "free" accessories that Michael said that I would get. They said I couldn't get that anymore for whatever reason even though this lunatic had told me it was "free" for me. I said fine because the price now was $23,700 including the "0.9%" promotion they had. I did however get the paint protection that was $995, & I had to drive ALL THE WAY BACK JUST TO DO THAT AS WELL! Which it didn't even look like they put ANYTHING on my car. We came back and the car was just sitting on the lot and we weren't even notified! They said the paint protection was supposed to protect my grey interior seats from stains...within a week it had an oil stain on it. The finance guy says the paint protection is supposed to help with the rain, bug stains and minor scratches...it does not! The windshield wipers were defective and I had to switch them already within a month. In conclusion, I am writing a complaint because I don't believe my 2015 Honda Civic was supposed to be $23,700 with the .09% APR. I want to see what was charged which it does not even state on the contract my sale price of $19,400. I've heard other people getting these cars for way less out the door. I've been so unhappy with having to pay for this car just because it cost me so much. I should've only been paying around $21,700. I don't know where the other $2000 dollars came from. I hope something can be done about this.
It was my first time here and the staff were very helpful and lead me in the right direction which made this experience a great one! They were also pretty fast in setting me up with everything.
Terrible service at this place, the sales people don't care what so ever. I was told they would hold a vehicle for me so I could come back in two days to buy it and they SOLD it to someone else. I would recommend going somewhere else to get a vehicle.

My brother in law bought a car here, terrible experience. I drove to two hours to bring to the dealership in order to pick up his car. They hadn't added any of his accessories he ordered a month prior. When asked why, they made lame excuses and lied several times, one worker flat out said he didn't care.

Showed up for my service appointment for my rear wheel well gap issue, which wasn t huge. It was a small gap I wanted addressed before it became a big problem. I get there and Keenan pulls and yanks on it making it worse! WTF? Not cool. Then sends me to the collision center across the street. I ve had this car less than two months CPO from you guys. I don t expect stuff to come loose or start to fall off, certainly not service like that! Luckily for me the service center was awesome, friendly and had spare parts for what ended up being a super easy fix even though Keenan yanked it out further than when I showed up for my 9:30 appointment.
Corwin Honda is the first dealership I have boughten a car from. I don't know much about cars so I was nervous about getting a bad deal. Dave Terfehr was the product specialist I worked with. He did a fabulous job helping me through everything and answered any questions I had. I felt like he was honest and upfront about everything. I've bought/leased dozens of vehicles all over the US in the past 40+ years, and my recent experience buying an Odyssey from Corwin was right at the top. Since I live in AZ, all the preliminary work was done by phone, email and text. George, Sam and the finance people were professional, responsive, and friendly. The whole experience was seamless. If I could give a negative star, then I would. Worst car buying experience I have ever had. Unbelievably pushy, to the point I shed actual tears while begging them to shred the single paper I had already signed and let me leave. Still ended up leaving the lot (also still in tears???) with a car I couldn't afford (they didn't show a single car within my budget, go figure). They also did a halfback job on the oil change and I had to pay an extra $200 to fix their mistake when I got my first oil change after purchasing the vehicle (and yes, I called + went to corwin to see if they'd accept responsibility. They just blamed it on the guys who FIXED it). Y'all, I wouldn't even recommend this place to my third grade bully.

UPDATE: After owning the car for a year it's been nothing but problems. I brought it in twice for TPMS issues the first month of owning the car and they would just fill the tires back up. Over the next few months I had to pay to get the bead seals fixed on the rear two tires and now the rear two tires completely replaced. I've expressed my disappointment to Honda and all they say is "I hear you but it is what it is"

I usually dread car shopping because I don't like the wheeling-dealing, high pressure sales tactics. But after making an initial contact with my dealer, Kevin O'Keefe, and signing up for the CostCo Auto Program, I felt at ease immediately. I read up on everything I could find on my vehicle of choice--the Honda CR-V. Kevin made the entire process easy and low-stress. I had a price point I was aiming for and together with the rest of the Corwin Honda team we reached it. They had just received two 2017 models in the trim (EX) and color I chose. Their team stayed late to prep the new car so I could drive off with it that night. I've already been in this week to have the after-market items installed and found the Service Center efficient and thorough. Everyone at Corwin has been helpful and kind. I highly recommend making an appointment with Kevin if you're looking for a new vehicle.

He is honest and trustworthy; he'll be upfront with what needs to be done and what doesn't. I have always been able to depend on him.
If I could give Corwin Honda a zero star review I would. I just got a used 2011 Chevy equinox ltz. I have not even had the car for 24 hours and my key FOB stopped working, one of the keys has a hole on the unlock side and I asked them for a new key before I even signed paperwork, they told me the other key is in better shape so just use that one, That's not want I wanted from there. They did not care that I wanted a new key. The second key does look better than the main key and they said they both work and they worked as soon as they drove the vehicle up there. once I got home and locked my vehicle (which doesn't work unless I push the tab down) I cant get it to unlock unless I use my key and than the alarm goes off. I contracted them as soon as they opened and they told me there was nothing they could do and the best thing I could do is switch the batteries. Never told me what to do after the if they still don't work.
They also gave me issues when I told them I was not going through them to finance. They pushed and pushed to try to get me to switch my mind. Once we agreed on a price and went to sign papers we came across that we were never told about, Document administration fee ($299.00) and Anti-theft transfer ($397.15). They didn't mention the fee once and we only came across them once I signed all the paperwork and was just about to write and sign the check, By that point they told me that there wasn't anything they could do since I already signed paperwork. I WILL NEVER GO TO CORWIN HONDA AGAIN!!!! this was the first vehicle I have ever got from a dealership and it has turned out to be the worse experience I have ever had. for now on I will pay an extra couple thousand if it means I don't have to go through this headache again and have an easier process.
Great used car buying experience! We worked primarily with Jake in sales - very easy to work and communicate with. Quickly responded to questions and inquiries. Evident to me in all my interactions with the staff at Corwin that they are highly focused on customer service - I would make the trip again from St Paul to Fargo to buy a car from them and would highly recommend them to others.
We purchased a new 2015 Honda Pilot from Corwin Honda in Fargo in February of 2015. Our salesman, Aaron Roland was helpful, knowledgeable, friendly, and gave us an all around great experience which isn't always easy with a new car purchase. We can walk into the dealership over a year later, and still be greeted by Aaron. He was just the start of our continuing relationship with Corwin. Justin Chose (I believe he is the service advisor/manager) has also taken great care of us and our vehicle. He is always friendly and able to answer our questions. We are always in and out quickly. The Honda people are much more enjoyable to work with than the Toyota people, but Corwin seems to train their employees to talk down to people.

This was the worst experience I have ever encountered buying a used car.I live about three hundred miles south of Fargo,and was purchasing a car for my daughter who lives in Fargo,I would follow through with everything they asked yet when i called and had to leave messages they were never returned calls. they messed up my deposit and never called to let me know this.It took over three months to get the plates for the car,then lying to me saying they called numerous times. Which i know did not happen the phone number they had is my business phone and If they called they could have left a message.Beware of dealing with this company.
I would give this place 0 stars. They were not professional. First off our "sales professional" basically stalked us the moment we got out of our vehicle, didn't even introduce himself and say I'll stand back and let you look and answer any questions. The 1st pickup we test drove wouldnt start without jumping it (it was a 2014) and to top it off the check engine light was on. Corwin PUSHED and PUSHED AND PUSHED that pickup down our throats and wouldnt work with us on price, so we walked (had to fight them basically to get our keys back). We went to Gateway after and Gateway made our experience of buying a vehicle so easy and they worked with us. GO TO GATEWAY IF YOU'RE LOOKING FOR A VEHICLE! Ask for Zack Tiedeman. GO SCREW YOURSELVES CORWIN.

You can't trust these people. They're a buisness, you have to know about cars or they'll rip u off and take all your money. Whenever I go in for one thing, they are always charging me for something else. Which later I realize was their fault and never should have been changed in the first place. I will not be going back.

Was very disgusted with my experience at this place. When expecting a call back from Corwin, I either received it 2 days late or none at all. The vehicle I test-drove had to be fixed before I could buy because a loose wheel bearing had been missed during inspection.
I felt like I had to defend myself at every turn as Corwin tried to tack on a higher interest rate than I agreed upon, an extra $400 for a pulsing brake light that was not actually on the vehicle, and of course the maintenance and extended warranty plans that they pushed way too hard. The guys were abrupt and unfriendly at times. It was a very stressful experience that made purchasing a first vehicle no fun at all.
Would not recommend.
In terms of understanding what I was looking for and actually trying to find the specific 2018 Honda Civic, Robert Filip and the Honda Team did an excellent job. He had conveyed an informative comparison that allowed myself to make an informed decision. Originally, I had wanted a coupe manual transmission Civic. However, because this was challenging to find, Robert gave me a wonderful deal on a sedan Civic manual transmission at the next trim level. In other words, Robert was willing to find the vehicle of choice, but gave me another option that I valued as a great deal. This vehicle is awesome and has features I was not expecting to get.
As a sales person, Robert shows his passion very well and it translates to an awesome car buying experience. Additionally, Robert had a thorough understanding of the vehicles, trim models, and features.

I'm hoping the negative reviews are old and that times have changed since Corwin Honda moved to their new building. Indeed, a while back (in the old building) I was given a suspicious laundry list of repairs that were "needed" on our car. I declined.
However, a couple of weeks ago, we brought the car in for two separate issues. One was repaired at a reasonable cost, while the other was covered under a service bulletin. If Corwin was really as shady as some are claiming, they would have charged us for that second service.
BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! This was BY FAR the friendliest dealership around. We didn't really arrive with enough time to test drive the cars but Jeremiah was quick to help us, super friendly, and he even stayed, after they were technically closed, to allow us to test drive a few cars. He introduced us to his manager who was equally as friendly and kind. Unfortunately they didn't have the model we were looking for but if they had, my husband and I probably would have purchased it! Stay awesome!

Give Zach and Corwin a try, they beat out several dealerships in MN by a landslide on pricing.

I rarely leave a positive review for car dealership but Preston at Corwin Honda provided an excellent service, communication, and Corwin offered much better deal on a 2017 model than other Honda dealership. I live 70 miles away from the dealership and Preston delivered my brand new car on snowy day for free! Highly recommended!!

Missed opportunity, questionable service department
We bought a blue 2010 Dodge Caravan recently. After reviewing the CarFax report, it appeared that a number of things were serviced on the vehicle. Among them were the front wheel bearings; rear brakes, calipers and rotors; and the intake manifold gaskets. We declined the couple hundred dollar 90 day service contract, thinking all was taken care of and there would be no further issues. No sooner than we got it back home, the left rear wheel bearing started making noise, evident that the left rear wheel bearing was going out. If the fronts were bad, and you had everything apart in the rear, why wouldn't you take a few minutes more to replace it? Certainly it would have made noise or been loose when they were changing the brake components.
We had asked our salesman about why the parts had been replaced. He couldn't tell us much more that than those things tend to go out. They knew we were coming in as we had scheduled an appointment a few days in advance. Why sales wouldn't have talked with the service shop to find out why these things needed replacement is beyond me.
Our salesman was nice, professional, and easy to deal with. However, I seriously question the service department on how they could miss something like wheel bearing, especially when they had pulled apart as far as they did. Either not very experienced, or they are just trying to run the cars through without really fixing what could be wrong.
If your not looking to spend thousands, your not a priority! Applied online and never heard another word. Last thing I heard from the salesman was to ask me how much I was putting down. I responded with just my trade in and never heard another word. Never had trouble getting loans before. Will not recommend to anyone.

Brandon Kumlin was very professional and helpful during my visit. He seemed very well informed about all the differences in vehicles we talked about and he didn't seem like he was just "trying to sell the most expensive thing on the lot" as you always hear from dealership horror stories. He answered every question I had thoroughly and was patient with me though the whole experience. Wouldn't suggest any other person for help looking for a new car.
