Bvu Authority Review

Very expensive service when u have to heat or cool your home...so if u don't mind freezing or heat stroke, BVU is the company for you. A monopoly on utility service is never good for the consumer.

I paid my bill and you still came and cut my service off!!!!!!!!! I AM FURIOUS AND CANNOT GET AHOLD OF ANYONE!!!

This company has the worst customer service ever. They cut my Internet off because the bill was 3 days late. Then they moved the service and screwed it up and literally ended up trying to charge me for service I didn t have. OMG THIS PLACE IS AWFIL. USE CENTURY LINK.

There nice people but the charge you to just put your name on another place!

EVIL! Worst power company on earth. I'm renting a 1300 sqft building and they demanded $500 deposit... They said the buildings highest bill previously times 2. So they are saying a tiny one room building had a $250 bill? Thats such a lie. I have a 3000sqft building also and pay $90 a month for power. These people are scam artist and they are NOT there to build up bristol and make it a better place, quite the opposite. They are EVIL!

I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy. They are crooks. They charge and bill you whatever they want or see fit for that time being. Their services are far from top notch all the way around. Biggest scam I've ever had to deal with in my entire life. If you want all your hard earned money taken right from you without any explanation and treated like scum of the earth, then by all means you have come to the right place because that is definitely all this company "bvu" is good for. Absolutely Worst service I've ever had. Its such a shame that bvu is my only option for my family to have electricity. Although I wonder some days if we would be better off without their services and just make do but unfortunately with a child that's frowned upon.
BVU IS THE BIGGEST RIP OFF, IF YOU HAVE A CHOICE FOR SERVICE STEER CLEAR FROM BVU AND RUN AWAY AS FAST AS YOU CAN.

Never sent a disconnect notice and cut off my services over $114.37 in the midst of a pandemic. Disgusting and you all should be ashamed of yourselves

I am so happy with BVU. The customer service is always top notch and they are always so patient and helpful. When I needed them to come out for service after a recent storm, they gave me an appointment the next day and arrived early. The technician wouldn't leave until everything was thoroughly checked and we were satisfied. Their cable service is about half the price we paid for satellite and we have an extra 60 + channels not to mention an easier to use DVR with triple the recording space we used to have with our previous satellite company. Bravo, BVU!

Customer service is a pain. I am writing this review as I have been on hold for 25 minutes at this point. The customer service line has a feature to where you can enter your number and they will call you back. It does not work. I wish there was another provider that I could go to.

I hate to give them one star. I can't count the television episodes I've missed; because, the dvr records them and plays the episode chopped in pieces. Most recently, the finally to "Into The Badlands". It seems like it's always a finally. As soon as I can get another provider, BVU is history.

When you are out of power..don't call them..they will give you attitude. So sick of the empowering over us as residents as well of over charging!

They have always been there to help me through out the past few years

Oh no light rain's coming, so we all have to get ready for a power outage again, plus it's the same old transformers that's been causing it for years, stop using duct tape and hair dryers to bandage it up, spend some of that money on real repairs that will last.

THIS IS THE WORST CABLE & INTERNET SERVICE I'VE EVER HAD! WITH WHAT I PAY A MONTH YOU'D THINK THEY'D HAVE BETTER SERVICE. COULDN'T POST WITHOUT GIVING A STAR! IT'S NOT WORTH 1 STAR!!

If there were fewer stars than 1, I would give it. Literally full of the most incompetent people - such a frustrating company to deal with.

WORST COMPANY EVER! My husband is on oxygen because of COVID and they turned out power off after paying the bill!!!! Sick company. Highly against AEP but BVU is getting just as bad.

God awful. The internet is terrible and so is the phone service, they basically made us deal with it. The internet we recieve is not what we pay for, and it constantly cuts itself off. Its terrible. Find something better than bvu

Consistently inconsistent internet, can't keep a steady signal, called technical support to try and fix the issue, on hold for 45 minutes before I gave up. DO NOT GET THIS AWFUl SERVICE

Went in early to get water turned over in my name from apartment downstairs. I already had electricity so I thought a call would be okay but NO, they told me to go down there and it would even be quicker. So I left work since it had to be done since weekend was coming up. Waited all day and no water. I called and they said process can take up to 24 hours. Well water got turned off and they said it couldn t be that day. Which was Friday so I d have to wait until Monday!!!!! Monday is here and I called, well NOW come to find out, order was never put in to get it transferred. Now I have to wait for another day for water! 1116 Lawrence is my address. Any water will help please

We are missing all the new years eve shows because of quantum. We loose signal a lot and I am getting fed up with it. Now the rate is going up and no tv for us tonight. I see changes coming.

Power goes out all the time..yet bill just goes up and up. Also..when I call to ask a question or make a complaint I get someone on the phone from Indiana?!? BVU needs to go..bunch of crooks!

From reading all these reviews all the way up to a month ago, except those that have a 5 star, those individual must work for BVU!!!
I'm ashamed to acknowledge BVU in my hometown.
It's an embarrassment for the way they have been treating my Virginian residents.
I see that things have gotten even worse since I lived there,
I thought my brothers and sister were just joking around, but I see the leopards have not changed their spots, just their suits!!!!

Crooked, CROOKED. No matter how conservative you are with your water and electricity the cost rises sky high. Even after switching over to natural gas heat (provided by another party) cost in winter skyrocketed, and there is never a direct explanation as to why. Have had no where near as much trouble and spent less than 1/4 the cost on my utilities living in 3 different utilities districts in North East Tenneessee.

What can I say! I thought the CROOKS went to jail. Apparently a new batch moved in! I've been very sick since June. So sick I wasn't able to open my mail. I trusted BVU so I paid my bill online without looking at the bill. 4 months into this I decide to open a bill. I flipped out. Water consumption 1500 gallons/day! There was a leak at the meter and one under the house. The one under the house was because a BVU employee left the crawl space open and a filter froze and busted. The meter leak was from new installation of meter. They stuck me with ALL the bills. Told me to bring a plumber in to repair under the house and I would be reimbursed. I did and then they refused to pay! Refuse to even give me ANY credit on these ridiculous bills! Threatened to cut my utilities when it was 2 degrees outside unless I came up with hundreds of dollars! I'm a senior citizen on disability. Had to get a bank loan and they are still screaming for money and going to cut my utilities off! They are bigtime crooks and liars! Shame on them for treating people this way! I guess they will be cutting off the power because they've taken all my money!

Terrible cable box and internet service. When I turn the tv on I want it to work without calling tech support. However, tech support has always got us back up and running, it's very irritating to pay for something that doesn't work properly 3/4 of the time. Basic cable has never had any issues.

Poor management. Lost me as a 10 year customer, because they could not tell the difference in a cable bill and a utilities bill. For the last year they have continued to mix up both bills. I have tried many times to straighten this out, they said it was my problem. So I worked it out I went with Charter.

I don't enjoy writing bad reviews, but power seems to frequently go out. Often this happens on clear days. A light rain shower or thunderstorm? Better have candles and flashlights ready. Can't count the times I come home from work and all my digital clocks are flashing from where power was out for a while. What's going on over there?
