I absolutely hate car shopping, I have just always found it one of the most unpleasant things in general. We went car shopping about a week and a half ago and I ended up finding the perfect vehicle. Our salesman, Jeremy Saunders, and his manager, Dave, made this a painless and easy experience. It went a lot smoother and if I ever need a new car, I am definitely going to him. Thank you Columbia Honda for the great experience and perfect car for me.

We took our car in for routine service this week. While there we looked at the cars on the showroom floor, as we always do to pass the time. Dennis Wood engaged us in conversation and pointed out the brand new Passport on the floor. We had some questions about it and Dennis provided great answers. Although we are not in the market for a new car yet, we will seek out Dennis when we are! The service we receive every time we take our car in was exceptional. We were greeted warmly when we arrived. When we were told our car was ready, we were also told that the car had been ready for a bit, but the service person saw us talking with Dennis and waited until we were through there. Now that is great cooperation between departments. Way to go, Columbia Honda!

Just bought a used certified Honda yesterday. Got a great car at a great price. Matt Bourne was our sales rep and he went above and beyond for us. He made sure everything was taken care of. We had already bought the car. He didn't have to do anything else, but there was a small scratch on the door and he said he had some special stuff he keeps at his desk that he thought would help. Went out in the heat and worked on car when he didn't have to. Scratch was barely visible when he got done. I would highly recommend you come here to look at cars and use Matt.

Columbia Honda always has my interests in mind and has great customer service. They work hard to get the job done and as fast as they can. TJ was awesome! He didn't give me the run around and gave me a fair price on my car's issues. Great service department!! Overall great experience and I will be back!

The experience I had at Columbia Honda was outstanding!!! I didn't feel pressured to buy in any way and they worked with me on price, as well as making special arrangements for my medical needs. My salesman, Dustin, was professional and polite. It was well worth the 250 mile drive from home to their dealership. I have no regrets and would recommend them to anyone.

Just bought a 2014 Honda Odyssey from them last we...

Just bought a 2014 Honda Odyssey from them last week. The inspection they gave me expired at the end of 2017. It is currently mid April 2018. I took it in to get a current inspection and they tried to charge me until I talked to a second person. Then they said I needed new rear brake pads so they charged me $250 to replace them even though they were needed before I bought the car and if they had done a current inspection they would have known that. Driving home from the dealership I noticed it pulls slightly to the left on the highway so I checked the front tires and it looks like it needs an alignment too which I'll have to pay for. They also clearly didn't even check the wipers during the inspection so that was another $25 because they were so streaky I had to replace them. These things should have been fixed before I bought it and now I'm going to have to pay for a second repair on a car I bought 1 1/2 weeks ago that came with these problems. They also "filled" up my tank for me when I bought it, but only halfway. I haven't even picked up the title to it yet. It would be 0 stars if that were an option.

Update: Mike Miller the sales manager promptly called me after this review and is refunding my money for repairs and even offered to fill up my gas tank. I understand things happen and he handled it very well. Very satisfied with my purchase now and would recommend talking to sales, not service if there is a problem. That was my mistake.

Terrible finance dept.and middle management. Tried buy 40k plus truck cash. Talked me into trying there finance dept. Agreed in business name only not me personally and 2 banks max. Did not want a bunch of credit inquiries on my report. Already financed 2 trucks in the last 8 months. Warned them loan would probably gonna be tricky. Not a big deal I can afford to just pay cash. They said they completely understand. LIED and ran it 10 times with over 6 banks and when loan in my business name wasn't working out moved on to me personally with the banks. WITHOUT MY PERMISSION. I was sitting 25 feet away for 2 hours. Never came out and asked me or explained anything. They just kept grinding the banks trying to get their unnecessary loan commission. Finally came out said business loan wasn't looking to great but good news we got it done in your name personally. I looked at him like are you kidding me. Very upset. They will smile to your face and say absolutely I completely understand and then do what ever is best for there commissions. This was all unnecessary. Blamed it on the manager. Said he did it personally. How did he even get involved or get my information. Just LIES. Did buy the truck CASH. Only because I was out of time and my business needed it. This whole process was just ridiculous and completely unnecessary. Went from a completely satisfied customer to one now filling complaints with several state and federal agencies which I do not have time for so I now have to pay my attorney to do. But Sooo worth the money.

My husband and I purchased a 2011 Toyota Avalon la...

My husband and I purchased a 2011 Toyota Avalon last Monday from Columbia Honda. We told the salesperson that we wanted to finance through our credit union and were told that it was not a problem, they worked with that credit union all of the time and that we could apply through the dealership for a loan with the credit union. When we went back to the finance department, the loan they had procured was not through the Credit Union. When we asked the finance manager why, he told us that we would have to pay a higher APR if we went through the credit union. They never went to the credit union to ask about financing it!!!! I now am in the process of moving the loan to the credit union. When we purchased this car, we were not informed that there was only one key. We had already signed all of the paperwork, so there was no way to work that into the contract. We spoke with the Finance Manager and the Sales Person, Doug Walker, upon discovering this and the Finance Manager said that it costs around $300, but they would get back to us on the cost and if it did not cost too much that they would get one for us.
Subsequently, we only received three out of four floor mats. We asked about this and were told that they would check on this and call us back in the morning.
We never received a phone call, so my husband called and was informed that they never said any of that, and basically we were on our own. Obviously, we can pay for the floor mat and replace the key, but then this morning happened.
This morning the battery would not start and Triple A was called. I called Columbia Honda and was informed that most likely, the battery would not be covered under the 50,000 mile warranty since it is part of car maintenance. I completely understand that this is maintenance, but we just purchased it a week ago! I am very disappointed with their customer service and follow through. It is only good when they are trying to sell you the car, not once you drive it off the lot.

Update1-The Credit Union offered a 3.29% rate and Honda offered a 6.99%.

Update 2- My husband spoke with the Finance Director and the Sales person. They agreed to replace the battery at cost with no fees for labor and get us a key fob for the vehicle. I went yesterday at noon and dropped my car off to have the battery replaced. I told them at that time, I would be back at 4:30 or so. When I returned, around 4:30, they told me ten minutes or so. No problem, but i actually did not get out of there until 5:45 pm. I was charged for labor and as far as i can tell, full price for the battery. I was so late to pick up the kids, that I did not check the receipt until I returned home. (Which I understand is my fault.)

Columbia Honda 5 stars. I bought a 2016 Honda Pilot at a different B dealership in the St. louis direction that I will not name. The Pilot had lots of issues that was not disclosed to me at the time I bought it. Needless to say, I was not pleased, less than 500 miles driven and emission code problem showed up and it had bad injectors. I contacted Honda of Columbia and they were straight forward with me, performed the work that needed to be done and I am well pleased with the communication and outcome. Thank you Andrew. Excellent customer service.

This dealer just makes business and doesnt help customer with issues. I bought a beand new accord EXL on october 30th 2018. I had to take to dealer for multiple issues(batter issues, oil chnage/tire pressure check light are on all the time on new vehicle). It has got just 2500miles on it. I am dealing with HondaUSA guys. even they are not helping much. I spent lot of money an dthis frustrating. I have to wakeup everyday and pray for smooth startup of my vehicle. I will never buy a HONDA product in my life.

Firstly the used vehicle was misrepresented as I was told it had not been in any accidents when it had body damage visible (but it simply had not been reported to Carfax). Then I negotiated the dent be pulled and the scrapes down the length of the drivers side be touched up and a hole in the drivers seat leather be patched. They also agreed to give me $25 in gas and detail the interior. After leaving them the vehicle for a week for this to be completed it was returned to me with an empty gas tank, dirty interior (complete with debris and gum wrappers) my paperwork in the glove compartment was rifled through, items were missing, the seat was not patched at all, the paint on the bumper did not match the car, and the scrapes on the side were about 50% touched up with the accuracy of a kindergartner on a bad day. When I brought this to their attention (how they failed to see it I will never understand) I was told "sorry but I'll have to make you another appointment" great just what I wanted...and 48+ hours later no additional appointment has been made or any follow up what-so ever. No wonder they have to complete a customer survey within 5 minutes of the sale...after that they seem to have your money and no longer care about the service they provide.____***Also please note that the persons contributing 5 star reviews for this business have (in almost every instance) only review this business- which seriously calls into question the authenticity of their review!

I could tell that I was dealing with great salesman when Nicholas B. Costanza gave me a great price right off the back on the car I wanted. They also had excellent Google+ reviews, so I felt comfortable buying out of state! Nicholas was very fast at getting stuff done. I loved that! I spoke to about 30 different salesman over the course of about 5 days and I you could tell pretty quickly which ones were honest and which ones seemed to treat their customers like crap. Columbia Honda was a pleasure to work with. Thanks for the amazing car guys!!!

We took our vehicle into our mechanic to have him go through it and said that it was by far the cleanest used vehicle he had seen come from a dealership. We needed maintenance work on our Acura RDX while ...

We needed maintenance work on our Acura RDX while passing through Columbus Mo and did not have much time to spare. Service Dept promptly responded by servicing the car first thing in the morning for only an hour, so we were able to get back on the road.

The staff were friendly and professional and the waiting areas and restrooms were clean and comfortable. The snacks and coffee corner are also well stacked. Thank you.

Great dealing with Ben McCanless before coming in on phone and he's just as nice, efficient and responsible in person . Settling with the finance guy is another matter. I realize part of his job is selling maintenance contracts but when we said NO more than once he should have let it go. Even after apologizing he still tried. Guess he gets "stars " for that with the company. Then Ben had to finish up with the actual car details which he did a great job doing even though he knew a little about our experience. So he deserves all the credit that I would recommend this dealership.

If they did not want to sponsor all they had to do was say no. I came in for service on my 2012 Odyssey. Dave Curristan approached me and asked if I would be interested in upgrading my car. I told him that when my lease expired in 8 mo I would probably lease a new Odyssey with leather seats. He said it would be possible to do this sooner. Indeed they had a 2014 Odyssey like I was looking for. They presented an attractive deal and I drove off in a new Odyssey. Dave was very helpful and attentive in making sure that everything was done to my satisfaction. Good overall experience.

This review is long overdue!! My husband and I were on our way to Dauphin Island, AL for vacation on Jan. 31st of this year. As we were coming to Columbia the Engine light came on in our 2011 Honda Crosstour. We stopped at a couple car shops, they were unable to help. I pulled up the nearest Honda Dealership on my phone which was Columbia Honda! We pulled into the Service area and explained our situation to Phillip. It was a Friday night and closing time. An employee heard us talking about our car issue, he had noticed Kyle finishing up a job in the shop and asked him if he would stay over and take a look at our car. He let Phillip know that Kyle would take a look at it. Oh we were so Thankful! Kyle not only diagnosed what was wrong he explained it to us and fixed it. He also was gracious enough to put on new windshield wipers which was a blessing as we ran into rain. As we were in the Very nice waiting area my husband talked with the Salesmen and even picked out his next new vehicle! We will certainly go to Columbia Honda for our next vehicle! Here I thought we were good and on our way when i discovered i had left my purse in the shop. We were a few miles down the road. I immediately called. What life savers! Arrangements were made that a salesman would wait for us to come back! My purse sure looked good on him!!

They advertise that you will get a $100 referral if you bring a friend to buy a car. I brought my dad to buy a new CRV and they assured me they would mail a check and they never have. They also ignore your calls and e-mails after purchase. And this is after I have personally purchased three vehicles there mind you.

UPDATE: received a $100 gift card due to my negative review. The gift card, get this, is for Columbia Honda... with the suggestion in the included letter to use it on my next vehicle purchase. What a joke.

We bought a 2019 Frontier from Columbia Honda early in May 2020. We had a good experience test driving a couple different Frontier trucks and Salesman Brandon Duncan was incredibly helpful and the Finance folks got their asking price down to right about KBB value. We were in the midst of moving across the country and they worked with us to secure financing and kept the truck until we picked it up. Good group of people and lots of snacks/coffee/soda for looking at cars. Clean facilities and people who were easy to work with. Pretty good car buying experience from Columbia Honda!

Dj was the tech that performed my service and did a very great job. After my service DJ came out and explained to me what recommended services he thought i needed now and in the future. I went in for an oil change and service and while it took longer than I was told they made up for it with a coupon to use for the next service and were incredibly apologetic. Much better experience here than my previous experiences with Machens Hyundai! So far I really like all of the folks I have dealt with both buying and service at Honda.

So how do I say Thank You?

Daughter has a loaded schedule but had a flat, add to this she cannot find her tire lock. Even though stressed she called hoping she could at least find out to order a new tire key.

Instead, they send out the unit that fixed her tire. She is back in class and I have piece of mind that she can trust Honda Columbia Missouri with her vehicle.

The first time I used Columbia Honda s car pickup service here in Centralia, my car wouldn t start in the driveway. They didn t even blink. They sent someone to give my car a jump before driving it back for service. They were very thoughtful and thorough in taking care of my CR-V They sent me text updates to let me know that my car was there and being worked on. It was the most pleasant car service experience of my lifetime. 5 star service.

I was in the market for a great used 4 wheel drive...

I was in the market for a great used 4 wheel drive truck. As I was exploring ideas available on the dealer lots Danny from Columbia Honda approached to inquire what me needs and request were. I expressed in details my desires were importantly that I wasn t going to get into the Car Game of Negotiating on Price . He requested I give them a couple weeks to find a fit for me. I received a call 2 weeks later to look at a truck they had located that matched my requests. I stopped by after hours with hesitation and after inspecting the truck on their lot I called my banker the next day for an honest value. The bank offered a competitive loan offer. I went back the next day to purchase the vehicle. The closing went smoothly and quickly. COLUMBIA Honda s finance department also did the loan on site thru the bank saving time. They also offered me piece of mind an extended warranty that made a perfect it. The truck detailed out in time to hand me my new keys before the ink was dry.
If you want an hassle free experience buying a new or used vehicle Columbia Honda and the professional staff is the place to go.

I had taken my 2014 Honda Accord in for a recall replacement part and was told the repair would take approximately 45 minutes to an hour. However, they completed the repair ahead of the scheduled time. Always appreciate not having to wait many hours or all day for the car to be fixed. Good job, but I rarely give 5 stars.

I've worked with several different service represe...

I've worked with several different service representatives, and TJ is the best. He always keeps me informed with what needs to be repaired, how much it will cost, and the urgency of the maintenance. This information helps me schedule out my car maintenance which is incredibly useful as a college student with a tight budget.

TJ is incredibly friendly. I'm not sure how many times I've been in to Honda for service, but he always greets me by name as I walk through the door. TJ is always busy, but still finds the time to calmly explain what is going on and answer any questions I have.

All in all, TJ is my go to for anything service related at Honda.

Bought a 2014 Honda Civic si, was approved on a Thursday night. Showed up Friday to sign paperwork and pick up my car. It was still at the detailers, sales guy said. He gave me a loaner to get back to work, and I could pick it up that day. I clarified this point, and waited for a text telling me salesman kept his promise. It never came so I headed back to dealership, but car wasn't there. I wanted to go to St. Louis that Friday, but salesman said it will be ready by noon Saturday because "they wanted to make it perfect." Noon came and went, so I got there about 1:30. "It will be here in 20 minutes!" TWO HOURS LATER the car shows up, obviously just detailed (soap still in door jamb). Sales guy says he will send me a certificate for the first oil change for the trouble...a week later and nothing in my mailbox (he even texted to make sure address was correct).

Then it gets worse...the first time I step out of my car after leaving the dealership, the front passenger fender is falling off the car. The first morning after I drove away, the CHECK ENGINE light comes back on, even though in the paperwork it stated they would fix it, not just clear it.

If it wasn't for my faith in Honda cars I would be truly pissed. Instead, I'm just disappointed in myself for falling for the lies. I'll pay someone else to fix it....they aren't getting any more of my money.

I know they are busy but was disappointed in my recent visit to the service department. I had to wait 1 1/2 hours which is not normal. Then after being disappointed in my wait, I was pointed to my car. It was sandwiched in tightly between two other cars. It took awhile to even get out. Normally my experience is much better than this but I have do admit I was disappointed.

On Friday may 5,2018 I contacted the service manager about 2 pieces of misinformation I had received. I have a 2010 Crv with 80,000 miles. Two years ago it was the master cylinder and two months ago it was the breaks. Took to second opinion. No problem. Service manager was to call right back. Never heard
Contacted general manager. Never heard. What kind of customer service is this. In my opinion, I don't trust them.

Recently purchased a used 2015 civic from this dealership. Most everything went fine, this was our first purchase of a car so it is hard to compare. I didn't think that our experience was that bad until we got into purchasing the car we wanted. Shortly before we test drove it for a day they let us know it smelled like smoke and the headliner was coming down. That was a little disappointing and they attempted to take care of both issues before we took possession of the car. Hopefully the smoke smell will stay away, though I have my doubts and the headliner will most likely need an expensive repair.
When we returned the car from our test drive on Saturday they were very resistant to letting us walk out the door even though I made it clear I just wanted to sleep on it until Monday. They insisted on getting us through the paperwork that day which I was not excited about, though it wasn't a big deal. The biggest reason we went for the car we chose was the price, but I was mistaken in purchasing that car as the finance department quickly brought up that we pretty much NEEDED to buy a warranty, putting our cheaper car way above the sticker price of any of the certified pre-owned vehicles we would have bought. That destroyed my payment expectations and my desire to take my time. The final straw was when we came back to drop off down payment and paperwork and we were subtly informed that there was only 1 key and it would be no problem to cut another...for $150 more.
Also was expecting a vehicle inspection to make the licensing process a little easier. Was not provided, will have to take in for inspection and repairs if needed to actually get that done. Just another hour to add to my expenses.
Be careful when buying a car that you know all of your information, folks. I feel like there were a few errors I made on this one, but they were a little less than forthcoming when it came to final cost of the car. I like to plan out all of my expenses and I missed out on a few big ones here.
Will probably work with the service department pending any glaring mistakes, but will not be purchasing a car from here again. Hopefully other Honda dealerships will work out as the car is fine, just poor salesmanship for me.

I was contacted by the salesman I worked with, Doug. He was apologetic for the pressure I felt and explained how a few things had been misunderstood. I feel the response shows quite a bit of responsibility on their part. I didn't want to place all of the blame on Honda for my disappointment, that is why I offered them 3 stars in the first place. I have increased to 4 at this time simply because they apologized. I would have recommended them to anyone before, but this solidifies their reputation for me. I would still recommend that people do their research prior to moving into the purchasing process, especially if you are a 1st time buyer. I wasn't prepared for a few things and it hurt my experience, although I don't feel that they took advantage of that.

Today I went and got a recall for the air bags on ...

Today I went and got a recall for the air bags on my Honda Accord fixed. I arrived for my appointment at 11am the car was supposedly fixed at 1:39 pm same day. Pretty good right...WRONG! When I left I realized my steering wheel was not put back on correctly causing it to rub against the back and not turn correctly. So with a fathers day party starting at 3pm and my car being put back together wrong I called the General Manager Steve who said he would lend me a car for the day and they would fix the problem. So with it being 45 minutes until the party starts I race back down to Honda, this time without a back up ride and much to my surprise Steve cant be found, I'm denied a vehicle to borrow for the day and they make me wait. I WILL NEVER RETURN!!!

Got a new timing belt, water pump, and power steer...

Got a new timing belt, water pump, and power steering pump yesterday. As always, the service staff were courteous and thorough. TJ kept me in the loop and recommended maintenance that was needed and easy to do at the same time, but was never pushy. They even replaced my drive belt while they were working on the power steering pump because it was starting to crack, but they didn't charge me for it since we hadn't reviewed that beforehand! Very classy group to work with and I will certainly be continuing to take my car there! Thank you!!

Columbia Honda is very deserving of this 5 star rating. TJ, Kevin & crew took great care of me and my 2014 Honda Accord. I was passing through Missouri with little or no time to spare and they had me on my way in 45 minutes with very little advance notice on my part. It makes me wish they were closer to Denver because they would easily blow away the competition here. If I'm ever back in Columbia and in need of any Honda product, they'll get my business again. Hopefully I can give them adequate notice in the future. Thank you TJ. Don

Needed an oil change, a transmission fluid drain/fill and the general inspection.
I have previously worked with T.J so I asked for him to be my assistant today and things went smoothly.

I appreciated that he took out my cabin and engine air filters and showed them to me. He explained that they're starting to get dirty but no need to replace right now, probably in couple more visits. To be honest I do maintain my car and check the filters on my own occasionally, so I was interested in seeing if they'd try to tell me "your filters are bad and need to be changed ASAP", which they did not and I was happy to notice they were giving me honest advice rather than trying to get me spit up as much money as possible.

I have also requested to be given the oil filter (I check it for any metal content, reflecting the health of my engine) and well as a sample of my transmission fluid. They did it and packed them nicely and cleanly for me. I do realize this might be an uncommon or annoying request, but they were very friendly and just did it without any questioning.

What I really appreciated was the fact they caught a nail in one of my tires while rotating them. Which really reflects the technicians take pride in their job and are ACTIVELY working, not just repeating the same movement till the end of the day. They DO inspect the tires rather than randomly telling you they're fine. So I was happy to realize they do pay attention to the details. T.J showed me the nail and said they'd just patch it for me at no additional cost.

Overall I'm really satisfied with the service these people provide. I go there for my repairs and will keep doing so for the foreseeable future. They're reasonably priced and I think if you have a Honda, they provide the best service/money thus the best deal.

Note: Do NOT schedule your visit if you have a tight schedule. They might find some un-expected problems with your car which may take a while to fix. The fact they had to patch one of my tires slightly delayed the expected schedule, which is definitely not their fault... But just saying, make sure you reserve a bit more time than the first estimated ETA.

Bottom-line: Very satisfied, no complains, great company and team.

Columbia Honda has always treated me exceptionally well every time I ve come in there to look at cars. This past experience with them has shown me how awesome of a dealership they are. Cesar was the guy that helped me to find the car I wanted and he was very patient and such a gentleman!! Lemme tell ya, I was a difficult person to deal with because I just wasn t sure what exactly I wanted but I knew I wanted an AWD or 4WD SUV because I needed a car that would help me out come winter time with snow and what not. Car shopping with an 8 month old also was a challenge but they made it easier by bringing the cars right up to me in the store and accommodated to all my needs. I also was given a new car to test drive almost every day just so I could see if I liked it. The guys at Columbia Honda even came up to my workplace and dropped off different cars for me to try out. They told me that you don t know if you like the car unless you drive it, and boy is that true! They also gave me a super awesome interest rate on my car and we came to a happy agreement on financing. And with me finally signing my papers and getting the car I wanted I went home happy... But then the next day I realized I was still unsure about the car and wanted to get something else instead and without a problem they allowed me to get a whole different car to sign on and we cancelled out all the paperwork I had just signed on the night before. All In all, I highly recommend Columbia Honda. Ask for Cesar! They will treat you right!

I recently purchased a new vehicle from Columbia Honda, and I can t recommend them enough. The salesperson I worked with, Ryan Ewing, was outstanding. I never felt pressured, and he went out of his way to make sure I fully understood every little feature my vehicle offered. Also, every staff member I came into contact with was very outgoing and friendly, whether or not they had anything to do with my purchase; I ve never felt so comfortable at a car dealership.

Not only did I get a great price on a new vehicle, I actually left with peace of mind. I also intend on returning for the dealership for my regular maintenance, which is something I ve never done before. I really look forward to doing business with Columbia Honda again.

My husband and I just bought a CRV from Columbia Honda. Our Salesman was Trunene Smith and he did an excellent job and great service. He worked very hard to get us the car that we wanted at the price we wanted. I was very pleased with the customer service here and the vehicle selection. You know a car dealer is going to be sales-y and usually pushy but I didnt get that feel at all with Columbia Honda. They never once tried to sell me something I didnt want or need and didnt try to force us into a lease or a new car when we came to look at used. I really appreciate the experience here and would recommend anyone i know to purchase a car from here!

Repeated issues with routine oil changes. Overfilled on 3 occasions. Last time, did not change filter and over filled by a half quart. I'm now completely exasperated by repeatedly bringing the issue to the attention of management, so I didn't even bother the last time.
