They say it is a four star resort but it is not. The staff is nice but when your elevators show the wrong direction it is going makes you wonder what's up with this place.

We had a great time in Puerto Rico, We enjoyed our stay in the Hotel.
Too far from all the action. Nice beach and grounds but recommend staying in old San Juan, condado or Isla Verde.
They are still making some renovation to the hotel, but the location is fantastic and the pools have a gorgeous view of the ocean. There is a small beach on the lagoon side with clear water; you can't go in the ocean over here as it's a rocky shore with powerful waves. You'll be a modest walk to the ocean beach east of here, passing lots of good restaurants along the way.
Great location for walking to many shops including food
Great swim up bar in one of the pools. Right on the beach too
Good hotel !!! I have not been stay in the room but i have come to visit
This was our 2nd trip to PR and this is a very nice hotel. Well located, beautiful water and plenty to do.
This hotel was clean, comfortable and within walking distance from great restaurants and shopping.
The help desk will not help with anything. When you call to change reservations they will give you the run around
The beach has a steong smell and is public. There are other people using it besides guests. Also, staff was not as friendly as they should.
Beautiful view, courteous staff with great food, house keeping and a lot of activities/tour programs for visitors/tourists. I would definitely visit here again as well as recommend it!
Really nice hotel. Staff is nice, rooms are clean and it's right on the ocean. The beach-side pool and bar gets hopping.
We have been here before and after the hurricane and the place is very nice and staff above par. The room AC is loud and the new Hilton internet stinks, if you close out your phone or ipad, you have to reconnect everytime. So we ended up using our cell plan data, when we thought we were on the wifi network most of the time.
Love, love, love Puerto Rico!!! Hotel was really really nice. Staff was excellent.....
First I must say this hotel is more than 5 stars it has great employees with 2 pools and beach and jacuzzi the scenery alone is heaven I have been going for the past couple of years last year was close due to Maria but I know they have made even better changes. It s by all local restaurants , shops walgreen and Starbucks also a bus that s only 75cents that will take you to old San Juan Thank you I look forward for my next visit . This pics are before Maria new pics after may 2019
Second rate hotel with low level of service. Loved Puerto Rico but this hotel was a slight bit above a Holiday Inn. If it wasn't for the view from the lobby I would have rated it a 1 star.
I did not stay there, but we utilized their concierge service to find a last minute rental car and they provided excellent service
Beautiful views, great service. Great reconstruction efforts!!
Really enjoying our stay. Check in was thorough... Room is beautiful and the view from the seventh floor is amazing!
If it hadn't been ransacked by multiple hurricanes I'd give it 5 stars but for what's happened and their location to the beach and what they offer it's worth it.
Great value to this hotel. Great pool and other grounds . Close to all city centers and short cab ride to everything you need to see in the area .
The staff friendly and cordial. Good outlets not too good. The 24 hour establishment that is a worldwide audience. Lacks the luster worthy of the name. Overall experience at property was greatly enjoyed.
Nicely restored, classy decor, very friendly staff.
Concierge service is not good, Hotel room doors shut too loud, parking is too expensive.
Battered by Maria, with outdated furnishings and art, in this broke down sea side palace you can still hear echoes of its glorious past. There are several bar and kitchen areas that sit vacant, evidence of what once was a bustling hub of dining and recreation. Only one dining spot in the ocean view tower remains open now. They joined two buildings on either side of Ashford with a walkway--the one to the south has a 24/7 Denny's. It also has a pool, hot tub and exercise facility that are all under used. The northside unit is adjacent to a public beach and has a kiddie pool, a regular pool, a salt water pool and a hot tub. Don't expect a top notch swanky Hilton experience. Expect a very nice hotel and enjoy what it has to offer.
An excellent hotel in Puerto Rico, with many super attractive qualities
I stayed here once in 2009 and again this week. The hotel is clean, the staff is friendly and helpful, and the view is beautiful. The food and drinks can get pricey, but that's expected so we went to the H&R down the road to get our rum. All in all I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the area.
Nice place but the line in the lobby takes forever and you end up there more than you want. Rooms keys stop working on our last day and we got to spend another 20 minutes in the line
Front desk service is great, Denny"s with a full bar is located in the lobby that's always opened. Excercise room is fully equipped also has a sauna and jacuzzi. Walking distance to an array of restaurants.
Coming soon Premiere re opening Monica Puig and Fed cup team. Christian International Tennis.
Where do I start? Things started going downhill right from the beginning. We drove here in my rental car and their parking lot was full. We were guided to the opposite building to park but it was a nightmare parking there. After going in circles several times, finally someone left the lot and I took their spot for parking. Checking in - a long queue for that. Finally my turn and we were given a room that was not even clean. Bathroom had water on the floor and the bed sheet was dirty and had hair on it. I tried to call the reception to inform them about the room's status to figure out my next move but the room phone was dead! I called from my cell phone and finally when I got through to a human, I was asked to go to the receptionist again to resolve this! We hauled our bags back and after some more wait, we finally got a room decent enough to stay. The bathroom sink in the new room had spots all over but we just decided to go with it because we had had a long day already and we were in no shape to move to another room. By the next morning, the lift broke and we had to climb up and down 8 floors through the stairs for the rest of the day. And when we had to remove our car out, the machine wouldn't accept the parking ticket and said that the ticket had expired. We had to honk until some security guy came down and let us out. We stayed there for 4 nights and the experience kept getting worse as our stay progressed. The whole experience was a far cry from a 4-star or Hilton experience you would get elsewhere.
1. Bathroom floor was sticky and old.
2. Room carpet looked dirty.
3. Bathroom was not cleaned well.
4. Parking and taking the car out is a pain despite charging $20 a day.
5. Lifts go out of service for a whole day.
6. The hot water pool was not hot at all.
7. The lobby smells musty.
The view outside the hotel is fantastic though and the pools are open 24*7. But the hotel is so badly managed that one cannot enjoy the niceties of the hotel as a lot of time is spent on getting around issues. I wouldn't recommend it and you are better off staying at other nice hotels on the same street.
On the beach, great location plenty of shops, bars, and restaurants
Nice location. Walking distance to Condado lagoon. Clise to Old San Juan.
Terrible experience! Stayed there the week of March 22, 2013. Dealt with a leaky A/C unit the entire time, maintenance personnel were in my room every day trying to fix it and never did. They even told me it was a brand new unit. No one ever offered a different room for me. Concierge was completely useless. Customer service was very poor.
Outside of the fact I had issues with the wifi connection, I enjoyed my stay. The hotel was nice, clean and exactly what I expected and made for a very enjoyable birthday. I didn't reserve as a Hilton member for this trip as I found a better deal elsewhere but felt I got the same treatment.
Excellent everything. I'll come back, that is for sure.
Wonderful grounds. Great bathroom but the beds are on the ground and not comfortable. The Place to eat,on second floor is over priced and not good. Service was very, friendly
Great rooms. Great service. They speak English. I'm a return guest.
Still not at 100% after Hurricane Maria, but nonetheless great service and ammenities.
Okay at best. One of the not so impressive Hilton properties.
My friends and I booked this place because we got a deal and we were a little nervous after we read the Yelp reviews, but those reviews must be wrong. We loved this place! it's at a GREAT location right by the ocean and our room was very spacious (especially the bathroom) and had an ocean view. The pools are great and even have a FUN water slide and hot tub and swim up bar. The staff were very friendly and there are hammocks for guests to enjoy by the ocean. There is also a small beach on the ocean for you to enjoy. Highly recommend this place!
Nice pool area, but hotel room wasn t very nice. Pictures make it look much better than what it was. Every morning we woke up sticky and damp. I had a piece of paper on the table one evening and the next morning it was soaked. It just didn t have a very good smell. They said they would do room service every other day, but we had to ask every time we needed new towels... or room service. Feel at one point it was probably a nice hotel, but since the hurricane they haven t recovered from it. Restaurants are over priced as well... and not that good or clean.
The rooms have tile floors, which has rather high echo values. the lobby areas are rather eclectically dressed, but cool nonetheless. service is good, most service staff spoke good english. everyone was friendly and useful. drinks were accurately priced at average of $14 a mixed drink.
Excellent guest services. Hotel employees are super nice. The hotel has good amenities and is very clean
We stayed on the presidential suite. It was amazing. But due to covid, they didnt clean the room regularly for safety reasons.
Great package price for Puerto Rico. Close to all tourist attractions with quick parking amentities. Room was spacious with a balcony. Only critique is that it is kind of strange the safe/fridge/closet is in the same room as the shower, toilet and sink. But other than that, great place.
Nice place, plan to stay here again when I come back.
The Hotel must have been nice once, and not so long ago. The upkeep and quality of service are indicative of poor or clearly incompetent management. With very few exceptions the staff is completely unresponsive. I booked and paid a bundle for a 3 bedroom suite and upon arrival there were POT ashes and associated spent blunts, throughout the master bedroom dresser drawers, the suite has a panoramic view of the beach and ocean which would have been magnificent if the windows were no filthy inside and out, they look as though they had not been cleaned in 5 years on the outside and uthe inside was covered in toddler and children food related finger prints, these same prints were all over the suites decorations and cabinets.
Neither one of the three tvs in the suite were able to receive any cable related functions that would be advertised like ground hog day every time the tv was turned on. The Washing machine which appeared to be brand new was broken No Spin Cycle.
The apartment had a nespresso machine however the hotel did not provide the units to make coffee, which are only available by mail order(Device was useless).
Dishwasher did work, luckily as it was left full of dirty dishes for me to wash anp away for the fine Hilton company.
What brought this experience together was the response from the staff and management once these issues were reported. Literally request after request to have the problems addressed were left unanswered.
I am a Hilton Honors member and like the brand, however this property in being mismanaged and the staff are ambassadors of that mismanagement.
Stayed at this hotel for a short vacation. Months before the devastating hurricane. I am not sure what it is like now but when I was there the hotel was excellent. It is right on the beach, the restaurant in the hotel was great. The room was great and the service was excellent. I would love to go back to PR and support the recovery there. It is a uniquely beautiful place.
The place is very beautiful and has a good view of the sea
Nice pools and beach access. Humid rooms, but hey, it's PR!
Good services,it going now throught some repair, beautiful beach just a few step away
incredible service, excellent food and amenities! beds and pillows super comfortable
Excellent the hotel housekeeping should be daily should have security cameras and guide the customers to respect the silence and unnecessary euidos at dawn many young people in those on the 3rd floor from June 6 to 9, but otherwise I recommend it
I Love its location, & will always stay in the future. Close to the airport, popular Malls, Walmart, old SJ & major Highways. Professional staff, breakfast included, clear & calm beach water & Plenty of swimming pools.
This hotel is pretty amazing.
They have a parking garage however it is not free to park in this hotel.
They charge a pretty penny a day for the parking, which I am not a huge fun of.
the room was pretty nice and the bathroom was super impressive. I thought that the rooms were very well decorated and built.
The place has an amazing pool and breath taking view of the ocean.
They have a restaurant that serves breakfast which also had amazing views of the ocean. absolutely amazing.
They have a weird layout that the hotel is 2 buildings and they have a bridge that connects them or you can cross the street to get to the other building.
One of the best amenities in my opinion was the fact that it seemed like that all the rooms had a balcony I was so in love with my balcony.
Absolute dreamy place, the lobby is beautiful and the staff is super nice and they are very attentive, the only reason I give the review star amount os for the not free parking, that can be annoying I am completely against paid parking in hotels.
overall aside from the parking this is a dreamy place
Some items were good others not so. The service was not that great, only one person attending over 12 tables. Overall, to expensive for the experience. The best part was a lemon based after dinner drink they gave us.
Great location and beautiful views. The shower didn't work right, and the door to it was askew so water leaked everywhere in the bathroom. Otherwise the room was very nice. The hotel was quiet but it was great to have no competition for the pool or hot tub. I liked the beach as well. The staff was helpful and friendly.
Very welcoming atmosphere and staff. It has a beautiful lobby and various places to socialize.
Hospitality and elegant restaurants to share with the family.
