First off, to blast a business on search engines and social media is not my style, but I feel I need to warn you. My husband and I chose this hotel for our first visit to Puerto Rico and for a very over due honeymoon the week of May 14, 2017. Big mistake! The property is run down for the cost compared to much nicer and updated properties in the same area. Yes, the pools and bars and dining options are convenient, but way over priced and could use some work. But, the main reason for my 1 star was the guest service at the front desk and management. We arrived at 3 pm on a Sunday and were excited to check in and get our vacation started. Our room with all the surcharges and fees had been paid in full weeks in advance, but they require another $50 per night held on a card for incidentals. We were disappointed to learn that our bank had not processed our travel notification, and it kicked our card out. They assured us this is common, and also assured us we couldn't check in to our room, that was paid for, until the issue was fixed. Since it was Sunday, we learned we couldn't have it cleared until next business day. They came at us with a poor attitude as if we were vagrants or squatters and trying to stay in their room, again paid in full, for free. We pleaded with them to please just allow us to check into our room and we would pay the $250 first thing next day. Nope, not an option. We asked for the manager who had the same attitude, and he said "for $100 cash, you can check in for the night." We had $95 cash, our only money until the bank cleared. We explained this and the manager basically took our only money and we at least got to sleep in a bed, but with no food, water or anything for 24 hours when our card went through. We made the best of the rest of the vacation until the last night when we returned from dinner and found my phone in a pool of water that was leaking from the ceiling. After about 30 minutes, at 10pm, they rushed us out of the room and moved us to another room, where the lights didn't work and where now all my clothes were shoved in the suitcase with wet swimwear leaving me to fly home the next morning tired, angry, with a broken cell phone and wet wrinkled clothes. We address the situation with Hilton and after being passed around to 4 different departments and people, we were offered a $25 credit to stay in a Hilton. A ruined cell phone and a ruined honeymoon is only worth a $25 credit to Hilton, and the front desk and management staff at this hotel, could care less about providing paying customers with the help and respect they deserve. Don't waste your money, there are tons of air bnb options and smaller hotels for half the price and without the headache!

WARNING- THERE ARE BED BUGS

WARNING- THERE ARE BED BUGS

Upon checking in, reception was friendly, the bellhop Cesar was wonderful in particular. Hotel was dated but seemed nice

However, on the plane ride home, my back started it itch. When I got to the bathroom, I had bed bug bites all over my back.

Excellent staff who have worked tirelessly to bring the hotel back from the damage wrought by Hurricane Maria. I could stay anywhere on the island while here, but the team at this Hilton keeps me coming back.

My family and I are staying here for our last vacation together. We were all very excited to be staying at this beautiful establishment. We arrived at four o clock for check in and the staff told us we had to wait five to ten minutes. Two and a half hours later and the room still isn't ready. The staff had become very belligerent and when we asked for the manager it took him another ten minutes to come out. When he did he gave us $50 of credit to spend on food and told us to keep waiting. This is honestly the worst service you could get on the island. If you're looking for a waitstaff that has absolutely no interest in your needs then this is the perfect place for you! Enjoy your crappy stay!

The Condado Plaza Hilton<br/>Upon entering my room I observed urine and blood on the outside of the toilet. There was a staff member in the hall so I asked could I have my toilet cleaned. He entered the room and agreed that it needed to be cleaned properly. Thereafter, he called housekeeping and I left the room. Later that afternoon I returned to my room and the toilet was partially cleaned on the outside; and there was still blood spots on the outside of the toilet. This will be my last stay at this hotel. Discussed and disappointed I checked out the next morning.

Recommended by previous guests. Requested a room with an ocean view. Was quiet during the evenings and nights. Room was located just at the elevator but was very quiet throughout the day. Tip: ask for a room at the highest level. Photos are views from 9th floor. There is a beach located (that leads to the ocean) just at the bottom of the hotel which can be accessed from the left or right of the building. Parking costs about 19 a night for self parking and about 25 for valet parking. Food was delicious. There is a Denny's restaurant right across the street which is open all day and night. Other restaurants are within 1 to 5 minutes walking distance. Hotel has open seating on lobby floor where you can view the ocean as well. If you drive here, you must validate your ticket each day before leaving. Front desk, kitchen crew, and hotel cleaning staff were very professional and extremely helpful. Loved my stay and will return to Puerto Rico.
