The place is terrible, found 2 roaches and other bugs. When we started looking in the bed for bed bugs, we didn t find any but the bed was extremely dirty. The sheets were dirty and the mattress too. The floors and the walls had oil. The bathroom didn t flushed. We went to the arcade too and the place is just sad. Nothing seems to work. So honestly, we didn t sleep at all that night, I almost went to sleep on the car, but didn t feel safe outside. Bottom line, don t waste your money here, there are other places cheaper and nicer than this dirty dirty place. Plus the hotel fee is 35dls hahahaha really!?!?!? For what?

the place smells of dog and has dog hair everywhere, the rooms seem remodeled with 100 dollars, very cheap, the bathrooms are old, and you can reserve what you want and when you get to the hotel they give you what they want not That you booked, I'm disappointed, I do not book there again, and you have to pay parking everyday.
Just going to list the issues I had with this hotel: Broken hook and shelf and roach found in in bathroom. Wet gum on luggage mat. Ice machine was not working, had to go a floor up. Hallways would stay dirty for days. I saw the same paper and plastics in front of a door for two days, never cleaned. Hallways and rooms dilapidated for areas where guests attending water park cannot see. On our fourth night we returned from the park, I laid down on the bed and saw a HUGE ROACH on the ceiling. I killed it myself (against my wife's wishes), and took a picture of it next to the coco key TV chart to show that is what I found at THAT hotel. I had two rooms (party of 6), the other room's bathtub was clogged. I had to speak to front desk. They came to clear the clog, and left the entire bathroom a dirty mess. My parents needed to speak with front desk to clean the bathroom (even though the cleaning crew has pass the room). which leads too...Us noticing that bathroom floors are NEVER cleaned. Dirty sheets are not cleaned even if they are noticeably dirty. You have to specifically ask them to be cleaned (because they "conserve water").
On my very last night, not one, but both key cards were de-activated. They wanted to give me some excuse that cell phones and credits de-activate these cards...but how can this happen to both cards, when my son was holding one, and he doesn't have a cell phone or credit card.
Finally...last day just to be sure that I did get my credit (because I had to complain) I go to check out and of course...there were no notes in the system and I did not receive my credit. The front desk asked why I was receiving a credit....it took everything in me not yo say "because your hotel is crap"!
From HUGE ROACHES to dirty bathrooms, this hotel is disgusting and not safe for children. I do not see an option to upload pics, but if I find one later, I will glad to post.

It was ok. The room floors we're always wet for some reason and our room we found fleas. Water area was ok too. They did not have enough lifeguards on duty and some weren't doing the best at watching kids go down slides.
The water park area was kind of cool. The rest of the hotel was a little like a dive. Could use some serious freshening up. But if you don't plan on being in your room very much its not bad for the price, location, and water park amenity.
I've stayed here twice. I love this hotel for the value, location, and amenities. The staff are great and the hotel is clean. I would definitely recommend this place!
Wishing I could leave a zero star review. We have come here once before and had a great time. This year has been different, we checked in, went to our room, went to the pool area, only to learn that the main attraction (the big slides) were closed for maintenance, for 25 more days, we did not get notice of this, it was not posted anywhere until you get to the water area, they didn t say this at the front desk and no one said anything until you re almost to the slides. After spending an hour in the pool, they closed at 7pm. We were expecting to be able to get up early, it is called a resort and head to the pool. We get down there at 10am to find that it doesn t even open until 11am, which is check out time. So, the reason for our stay was to be able to enjoy the water area and we got to spend an hour there. We tried to let the kids play at the arcade that opened at 10am, there was no one working in it and the machines wouldn t accept cards. We are highly disappointed and won t be back, after telling MANY people about this place.
Place was rated worse than a one star if I can give lower I will. the floor needed to be mopped. Ur room had roaches.all over. Food was not so good not worth the money. We went to the arcade two different times and lots of the game didn't work or not marked not working.no staff ever there. Was very unhappy. Was there 1-11-2019 and 1-12-2019 left the 13
I'd give them a ZERO if I could!!!! What a fuster cluck!!!! I tried making a reservation online on the evening of June 18 at 10:30 pm. Somehow, someway, the system jumped from July 18 the date we wanted to stay to June 18 that very night, charging my card that night as a "no show" I called the very next morning and explained the situation to a person at the front desk. "Oh I see, I understand, and she changed my reservation, SHE SAID to the correct July 18, an email to follow with my confirmation number. Three days later, no email. I have called and called and talked to reservations and the front desk, I have no reservation, only the no show. WHY would I make a reservation for that day at 10:30 at night??? Meanwhile, my credit card has been charged. Promises of return calls from a manager named George in reservations have never been kept. AND, every time I call, their reservation system is down. It's been down for weeks. HOW do they check people in and out if their reservation system is down??? So now I"m out $102.46??!!!! I'm so angry. All I wanted to do was take my grandchildren to Orlando and let them have some fun. No good deed goes unpunished.
I will not be staying here again! I entered my room, it looked ok minus the banged up furniture. There was definitely a strong mildew smell. I opened the bathroom door and turned the light on and guess what popped out? A cockroach. I went back to the desk and told them and the employee stopped and was staring at me for a moment, almost confused on what to say. I had to ask for another room. I asked about a refund or discount and was told I don t think so .
Check in line was 30-45 minutes long, room needed updating and cleaning, big slides were closed, and my son got sick possibly from food poisoning or dirty pool water or slides that needed cleaning. We left early. We won t be back.
Need more staff. Had to wait forever just to check it. Room was alright, beds were comfy and clean. Not bad for a quick weekend trip, dont get a room near the pool, super loud with bunch of kids screaming. You pay for the water resort they have there even if you dont go to it. Over all too not bad.
I woke up at 4 am and saw a bed bug. Immediately left room my luggage was in car and we removes everything from car and shook it out. Went to front desk as checked out at 4am with 3 kids. I informed front desk rep and he was not concerned offered me my resort fee back for one day. I just left conversation was recorded. The resort needs to be shut down and cleaned and treated this happened today 3/21/2017. Back in ohio and my son is miserable and discomfort. Bombing my car home and clothes. Bed bath and beyond has a spray will be trying it out.
the only thing for which I take off my hat, is nothing more and nothing less than the water park, and its breakfast buffet.

Rooms were very clean, if you can try to stay in updated rooms. The older rooms have somewhat of a smell and have less space. Overall park is great for the kiddies and family get away. Also the bartender there is the absolute best!
My family and I went to stay at the resort in march of 2014. We had a problem with the power in the resort half of the building had no power..when my family and i arrived at the resort we had to walk up 3 floor of stairs with no back up light smelling stairways..not safe because the stairsways doors are never locked.and anyone can walk up to the rooms and i felt unsafe..also i spoke to one of the managers and he promised to give us a nice discount when we return back to florida. .but when i went back and told them what the manager promised me and my family they didn't believe me and turn us away..not kool and i will not stay there or recommend anyone..
Rooms are terrible ,they stink like there is mold growing under the loose carpet stink (was staying in high rise behind the water park - 5th floor ) every time you enter this room you gagged ,didn't see bugs etc but it's bad - 2 stars only because of the water park which is ok ,slides for younger and older kids and pool behind office it's also heated and clean - but room ruined everything
This is a wonderful destination for you and your family just mins from disney universal and all major parks and it has pools a water park and food everywhere great place
Such a fantastic place to stay with your kids. My two had an absolute blast and smiles never left their faces. The staff is fantastic, super nice and helpful. No issues checking in. I booked on agoda and wasn't given the room I paid for but it wasn't a big deal. The room was still close to the water park and clean. Beds were clean and comfy. Good size TV. Clean bathroom and updated. Can't wait to go back! Water park was excellent. One less star only because food was pricey.
Not worth the money. The rooms are basic and small like cigarettes, plus had issues with the toilet and sink. No microwave had to bring it to the room, also the resort had certain areas that wasn't working. I don't think it's worth the money at all
This is my 4th visit. It was a little hectic at first. Arrived a little bit after 4pm but my room was not available until 3 hours later. Sat in the lobby all that time with a 21 month child. Yikes. After that, the trip was great. Clean room. Had a small problem with door and was handled immediately. Staff was amazing.
Absolutely terrible time. Came here for my sons 3rd birthday for the waterpark. They failed to inform me that the main part of the park was shut down. I had called several times the week prior to make sure everything was in order and no one mentioned this. The bed sheets were filthy, phone didn t work and the floors were disgusting. Requested for them to mop the floors while we were out as I had a baby with me who is crawling and his legs and hands were black. Came back to mopped floors and my son still had black legs and hands from crawling around.
Loved this place! We stayed for 5 nights during our vacation in Feb/March with our 9yr old daughter. The water park out back was included and a great day of free fun for us all. The shuttle service was perfect for getting us to and from the other parks we went to. The rooms were great and spacious. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 star was because the main pool was always full of loud people. I would definitely recommend this place and would go again.
I have to say that our stay turned out pretty great! My husband had to be transported by ambulance to the hospital and the staff at the Resort were extremely helpful during the emergency. They even called to check on him when we returned from the Hospital. Kids enjoyed the Waterpark and also the guest only pool!! We will definitely stay again!
Grubby smelly rooms, also the pool and bar areas are dirty. The indoor diner also stinks of old grease. Rude staff (some are helpful though). Not how the hotel was sold to us by Thompson at all.
HORIBLE !!! the worst experience please I do not stop crying is horrid please do not bring your children if you do not have a lot of money please get it but do not come aki them and their promotion representatives get fraud they give you information that is not real through the internet the abitaciones are of the disgust susias the hotel stinks and the rooms also need to demolish it and to return to construct so the worst thing happened to me in these vacaciobes of November 18
Despite some of the comments I read, I believe everyone would have to get the experience for themselves. My family and I had a great time this past weekend @CocoKey, everything was nice, convenient, and affordable. Having children spread out in age range, everyone was able to enjoy themselves. Sometimes we where all together, while other times i could be w/the little ones and my husband w/the big ones vice versa. I didnt experience any hidden cost probably because I researched online and called before I went. The rooms where just as the site says and just as we paid. I didnt expect extravagant, but nice and that is what it was to me.
I would definitely go again and would recommend it to any seeking a fun, inexpensive trip made for families with children who love water!
I've stayed here 5 times already. And hands down this has been worse experience. Rooms weren't ready due to housekeeping needing to inspect. So we spent the day at the water park which was good until a little one threw up in pool. Then weather made everyone leave also few things weren't working. Then had to wait 3 hours for a room that was ready. Then this whole key card situation made it worse. No one had key cards except staff. So to get in your room you had to search for staff to open your room. And they never asked for proof that was your room. 5 times I was let in my room by different staff with not even being asked my name. My sister came to her room to find people in it! (Fixing key cards)but only her room?? I was adjacent but never got one. Then while walking down hallway a CHILD tried to pick pocket my sister's bag and got caught by a family member in the act. Worse experience. Rooms have been updated and are decent. Please do better Coco Key. We would like to return!
I visit this hotel April 16th through the 20th spring break and I had just a horrible experience in the hotel at first I was in a standard room and that night we saw some roaches and plus I got bit up in the bed so we end up switching rooms. The second room was just fine for one night and then we saw roaches again two roaches at that and my daughter got bit up in that room and at midnight we end up switching to a third room which was basically our last night I found a damn pad in the pull out couch like damn what is going on here a horrible experience but obly good thing is that the water park what's free with the wristbands my kids had fun but the breakfast was expensive it was $29 for 4 1 adult 3 kids. I was looking forward to free breakfast not have to spend a penny I should have got FREE all you can eat breakfast because of how many rooms we had to switch within four nights. But overall it was a good spring break just not the hotel the water park was fun for them and then Disney World was fun. In the future I will not attend this hotel again it really wasn't a hotel it was a motel.
Last time we came here, we remember the rooms being pretty rough. But the kids had such a great time with the water park that we felt like it made up for it. This time, we noticed that the rooms looked so much better. It looks like they did renovations. They have the laminate hardwood flooring which looks beautiful. The only thing is that when you walk on it barefoot it feels very sticky. When I was wiping up someone's water, there was definitely a lot of dirt coming off onto the rag with that one wipe. But other than that, everything was wonderful. Our children had an amazing time. We will definitely come back!!
The water slides and the rest of the water park alternate being on every other hour. So really only half the water park is open at a time. The rooms are 2 star rooms, they smelled of mildew and floors needed to be mopped. We had three rooms and two out of three had fridges that didn t work, phones were not plugged in, and all rooms we had to call and request turn down service since they had not come yet, and it was 3pm. The beds are not comfortable and very squeaky. We came the first week of January which is peak time for Orlando and I don t feel the rooms were worth the price tag. We stayed at Westgate Resort for the first part of our trip and defiantly felt the down grade and it was not much less expensive to come here. The front desk was always polite but the follow through either didn t happen, or took a long time. All in all I wouldn t recommend this hotel and we will not be coming back.
I found this hotel through LivingSocial. I was a little hesitant in booking since some of the reviews were terrible. After hearing from friends that had stayed here, we decided to give it a try. Upon arrival check in was a breeze! The front desk staff was very warm and welcoming. We booked the room with the king bed plus a queen pullout couch. When we got to our room, I was pleasantly surprised of how clean it was. The room smelled of chlorine, but I would rather smell that than mold! The waterpark was also clean and the kids had a blast! Tried to add an additional night, but living social no longer honored that price and the hotel wanted $160. We decided to go home and keep this hotel in mind! We will definitely be back!
Room smelled like mildew shower curtains was very dirty head boards was dirty bathroom toilet leaks every time you flush it tub wasn t cleaned I paid $259 for 1 night I was extremely disappointed no microwave refrigerator didn t work as well with my first stay front desk never answer the phone only thing about the hotel is the water park I wish I would ve choose a better hotel and visit the water park they need to also upgrade the rooms paid $12 plus tax for a watered down drunk I wouldn t recommend this hotel to nobody
they have a lil gig at coco keys they have a sign saying 3days 4 nights up to four family members at any disney resort in orlando or vegas just give them 20 dollars and show a credit card with your name on it & we always had to attened a tour at Vacation village which was 16miles aways frm coco keys & after the tour you get ur 20 dollars back plus the first vacation...all of it was Bogus will the recieve our 20 dollars back on a gift card . but once we got the paper about the free vacation that they told us was free Was no Longer free It went from free to 800 or more it was a waste of time Other then That The Water park was nice the room were to they just had like a old smell .
Close to universal and sea world. Has a laundry which is a bonus but not all the dryers work properly and laundry smells musty. Rooms are ok but dated and the carpet us revolting to walk on in bare feet. Watch out for the scammer in the foyer selling cheap tickets to parks. Do yourself a favour and buy online. Otherwise you'll be looking at time share resorts you're not interested in.
Went there after 2pm the water slide wasn't working cause was being remodel and the machinery noise was crazy loud and top of that the pool was really dirty . Definitely not coming back $29.00 per person is too much be for what they offer
The staff working here were so pleasant. After a 3 hour car ride my family and I were all tired and cranky. With in a few mins of being here the staff brightened our day.
We then went swimming where my son and daughter absolutely loved all if the water slides.
We then witnessed the lifeguard Brandon save two lives two separate times. It was unbelievable!!! Even after when I asked his his name, he never took his eyes off the pool or swimmers. I felt really comfortable know that the lifeguard took his job so seriously.
The other youndan that helped me out was Simon. He was working the gate the first day and was more then happy to answer all of my questions and even suggested some things that my kids would like to do like play in the arcade. The next day I saw him lifeguarding the pool. When I asked his name, once again he never once took his eyes off the pool or swimmers.
The kids loved the water park, and for the location and price, you can't beat it! My wife and I are already planning our family trip here for next year.
Great spot on I-drive 2nd visit to resort. Kid love the 3 pool areas available and the other convenient entertainment areas with in walking distance . Room clean area ice and cared for . As always well enjoyed time , until next visit
I really enjoyed my vacation at coco key resort water park. My child had a blast and so did I. Will definitely book again. Everyone there was so nice. Thank you for providing such great customer service. Well worth the stayed.
Arrived at 3:30 pm expected to check into room at 4:00 pm. Didn t happen, was told the room would be ready shortly as it had been cleaned but needed inspection. I was told I would receive a call shortly. 5:30 pm still no call so went to the crowded front desk and waited in line with several other disgruntled guests also waiting for a room. Finally got the key to the room. I had two children in tow. We were allowed to utilize the water park while waiting for the room. Not a bad little water park but very disappointing to find that the parrots roost was broken down that evening. The kids were not happy. The water park closed at 7 which only leaves 3 hours to use the facility providing you can check in at 4. Check out coincided with park opening so if you go for one night you only have a few hours to utilize the park. I m sure you could stay and use the park after checking out but then you have to deal with wet clothing and changing children in the not so great changing room. We were very disappointed when we returned to the park the next morning only to find that because it was off season , the water park only ran the two large slides alternatively 1 hour on and 1 hour off. The park seemed understaffed and the guards were not overly attentive. There was only one guard running the three large slides at the top and only one at the bottom of the slides. Personally I could go on but I really wouldn t waste my money if you re expecting this to be a destination resort. It s apparent that they are trying to save $$$ with understaffing and not keeping all slides running at all times. The rooms were not bad but for the same money I could have stayed at a much nicer place.
We stayed 5 night in July 2018 in their tallest building on the 5th floor. The room was a very spacious double queen bed with s small fridge. You can determine that it's an older building that has been updated with newer finishes. At times you can smell that it's an older building also. Thankfully there are automatic odor neutralizers throughout the hallways. The gym was large but severely run down so we decided not to even utilize this amenity. At the time, there weren't any vacancies thus there were a lot of families running around throughout the day and into the night; no biggie. The staff was very nice and attentive to our needs. As for the water park...it was quite impressive considering that it is part of a hotel. Three large water slides, a water jungle gym area (same water structure as in Legoland) a teen pool with a slide and an infant lagoon area with three slides. There aren't any adult only pools however there is a bar that overlooks the infant area. There's also a large game room area adjacent to the water features. Overall for the cost it was well worth it. My kids had an excellent time. We even had guess come over to enjoy the water park also. I will advise to get to the water play area early to get good seating. As with all play areas you want to be situated in a covered area where you can supervise your kids.
Celebrated my grand daughters 5th birthday and Mothers day wknd here. We had a great time especially the kids. We spent Most of our time at the water park inside the Resort. I gave 4 stars because my room smelled overwhelming with cigarette smoke.
Brilliant hotel. Rooms basic but clean and the maids came in every day. Water park is great. Takeaway food was good but very expensive. Location is fabulous.
WORST HOTEL EVER!!!!!! I stayed there for our family reunion recently & it was horrible....it looked like an old renovated Motel 6...it is NOT a resort to say the least.....HORRIBLE customer service & someone tried to break into our room one night which was enticing to say the least. All the channels that were advertised on the brochure in the bedroom were not accessible on the television & there was quite a bit of suspicious people walking around as well. Definitely will not be going back to this mess & will NOT recommend it to anyone else as well.
Loved it when we first walked in . My mind was changed after the 1st night when we were greeted by a roach . During our visit we changed rooms 3 different times before they eventually put us inside . Not to mention we didn't get to enjoy the water park due to them closing an opening it so much. I don't do roaches by no means.
Average. The receptionist did not even bother to welcome with smile. Thats made us to hate the stay from the beginning. No microwave in the room. It would be better if they had one. Water park was a relief for my kid.
I know, we have all been there, traveling on a budget. If you can only afford the cheapest, go for it. Just be aware that they charge you for parking ($10/day), and for the resort, even if is closed. Rooms are not too bad, but the toilet paper holders were missing... The water park, for the 20 minutes we been there, several of the amusements were out of order.
We probably have done something pretty bad to the front desk lady, as she seemed really upset.
Again, if you absolutely have no other options, go for it. And if you have, go for the option.
Well we have been here a week read plenty of reviews before we came and here's ours as we are stuck in another disney q (problems with the ride again) !!!!! WiFi dropped for couple of days rooms are a bit musty and dated but everyone moaning if they expect a stay at the Ritz then pay Ritz prices rooms are cleaned everyday eventually! Pool and slides fun lifeguards are FANTASTIC there must be at least 15 of them constantly watching the kids all the time good location on I drive overall pretty good.
They advertise 14 water slides but several are closed. Disappointed that the resort is not enforcing social distances. In general this hotel is dirty, and over rated. Ants in our room, smelly outside, slimy floors that you have to walk on with your bare feet. The worst is that it would have been great to come for an hour first thing in the morning before everyone else, but they do not open the waterside s till 11am and not a moment before.
There is social distance only at check in, in the main lobby. While in line for slides, waiting to get into the Waterpark, and at tables at the water park there are no social distance markers or staff enforcing social distance. It is a joke for them to say they take it very seriously, lol.
Smells like mildew in my room my carpet was wet by the A/C and my sheets wasn t changed at all I checked in 6/5 /2020 left and went to Dave and busters came back pulled my sheets back and it was stains on the sheets and crumbs of food and the bed the bathroom sink was back up as well worst and most uncomfortable vacation ever they changed my room but I was still uncomfortable I just wanted to go back home at that point the cleaning of the hotel can be better
I went here for my birthday and it was good but the problem was my dad booked hotel online for us but they charged my mom extra cause she wasn't my dad and we didnt have enough money to go to the arcade.
If I could give 0 stars I would. Whn we first arrived we checked into or hotel room that smelt like wet musty carpet. We were then moved to a new room that smelt better but floors were so dirty that my kids feet were black, crumbs behind counters and we never recieved house-keeping service the 5 days we stayed there which is understood we were staying during Hurricane Irma. The refrigerator had a piece of womens hair in it(gross)! Now on the other hand the tradewind restaurant was opened from 2pm to 4pm we stood in line for 25 minutes we were up next at 3:59 the girl stepped away from the register and came back and said sorry we close at 4:00(mad is an understatement). Will never stay at this place ever again and do not recommend it either now I see why people rated this as a 3 star hotel maybe for the waterpark which was closed our entire stay.
