CitizenM is one of my favourite chains. Half the room consists of a huge bed, what more soul you need? Also they are dealing very well with the Corona rules in the Netherlands.

Trendy and funny hotel. Modern furnished. The toilet is free in the room. This is getting used to, even if a glass hood more or less provides privacy. Nice bar, good drinks. Approximately 10 minutes by tram to the center of Amsterdam. Stop in front of the hotel.

Great room, good location with easy access to public transport and decently priced. Would stay again!

Very quirky. Was a bit dubious of room but it's functional and brilliant .can't say enough about all the staff so so friendly and helpful . I don't want to signal any staff out but Robbie was out first staff member we met .Very funny .Thank u all again deffo recommend it and deffo go back again .x

Located 300 meters from the first metro, the citizen m is very surprising. Everything is connected in the rooms. A very recent movie panel is offered free of charge. The bedding is top. 4/5 because the flat for me (long stay) is the lack of closet ... But it's a detail

One of the best 4-star hotels I've ever stayed in, minimal rooms but complete with everything, indeed, they have much more than the norm.
Staff of the highest level, I really enjoyed the bar and the relaxation area, so much so that we dined there several times. Free bicycles, excellent breakfasts, smiling and friendly staff, clean and tidy rooms. The king size bed is also fantastic, ideal for young couples. Recommended if you are looking for a fresh and "smart" hotel.

As I've previously mentioned, I do like the CitizenM concept of accommodations focused for the business traveler. Everything was fine here--comfortable bed, everything working ok, good breakfast. The room was the smallest I'd seen in a CitizenM, but again, that's fine as long as everything needed is there.

One thing: the shower. The space-ship design is fine, but you're forced to be in the shower when you first turn it on, which can lead to an abrupt shot of cold water. Otherwise the water pressure was good and the stall didn't leak, so everything fine.

We stayed at the hotel for 10 days and I have to say it is spectacular. The facilities are incredible, everything very modern. The attention, the best I've ever received in a hotel. If I had to go back to the city, I would choose it without a doubt.

Cheap and suprisingly well located hotel ( south Amsterdam one or two stops from the airport 7 minutes by train) for both financial district and the centre of Amsterdam - not too far from vondel park either - all a short cab ride away. Dinner is very good - it's a very nice budget hotel with basic rooms and very large bed. Some might not like to toilet and shower being in the middle of the room but I'm never bothered by it. You can also cast movies from your phone to their large flat screen TV

Rooms very (too) small for a 4 *, the toilet in the room, without a hard door, difficult to be intimate and isolate this part, reception or you make your arrival and departure yourself self service. No razor repair kits, toothbrush. The whole rather not given ... Personal (called ambasadors rather than receptionists) nice and bar very reasonable evening and very pleasant, a beautiful atmosphere ... If you like to be pampered with staff who takes care of you, large rooms like studios, go elsewhere

Hotel was brilliant! Very clean, organised, well managed. Rooms felt a lot larger than they were, bed was huge and very comfortable! Shower was excellent and toilet was clean. All lights/blinds/tv operations were done using ipad which was very cool. Bonus points. Service was exceptional! Staff were very helpful and polite and English was good. Location was a 20 minute tram journey to the centre of Amsterdam, just too far to walk but this didn't hinder the stay. Short drive from the airport aswell.

I am not going recommend this hotel.
They take your money until you cancel the reservation

Overall we had a really lovely stay at the citizenM Amsterdam South Hotel. This is the 2nd citizenM Hotel we have stayed in and again we loved it. I was over the moon with what they did in our room for when we arrived. I told them in advance we were in Amsterdam to celebrate my partner s 30th Birthday and that we had previously stayed in the citizenM in Paris and loved it. We were totally shocked walking into our room to see that there was balloons and 2 bottles of bubbles plus a card in the room. It really is the little things that can make your stay memorable. Within the citizenM Amsterdam Hotel South they have XL king size, super comfy bed with luxurious bed and bath linen, the softest and fluffiest pillow, ambient mood lighting, a wall to wall window, a blackout blind and rain shower. They also have free movies, free Wi-Fi, an international plug system and not forgetting their amazing soaps which smell incredible. We had a really comfortable stay in citizenM Amsterdam South and the staff were all friendly, welcoming and accommodating. We had a few temperamental issues with the iPad (which controls the room) and the TV but this wasn t much of an issue. I do find the rooms in the hotel to be quite small but this wasn t an issue as again we were out and about doing things throughout the day so we didn t spent much time in the room. On the Friday night we decided to eat in the hotel but by the time we went down to the bar area the kitchen was already closed so we could only order pizza. The pizza that came out tasted and looked just like a Chicago town pizza with added toppings but nonetheless we ate it anyway. We had a few cocktails which were strong but nice and the bar staff were friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the citizenM Amsterdam South Hotel and we would stay in another citizenM hotel again. The hotel is in the ideal location to local transport (metro, tram and bus) so you can get into the centre and around town really easily. We bought a 3 day travel card and often got the tram from just round the corner of the hotel. On the morning we were supposed to be checking out we woke up late so actually missed the 11am check out. We rang down to the hotel and they said we could have 30 minutes free of charge to get packed and check out or we could have a late check out for an extra charge. We really appreciated them allowing us to have extra time so we packed up within 30 minutes and put our bags in storage at the hotel so we could go out and explore for the day before our flight back to the UK. I was a bit disappointed that there were a few marks on the bed linen when we arrived (it was clean though) and down the side of the bed there was rubbish that hadn t been cleared however it want a major issue just something for the cleaning staff to pick up on.

They used invoice for one person twice and mess another. That's mean that it is not safety and everybody can stay there without registration.

Had two great stays in the last two months. The rooms is something you have to get used to and can be quite small for two people. The rooms have all you can need, and being able to use an iPad to control your room is quite cool. Bar has plenty of choice, breakfast is great but can be expensive for some, especially as there are some great places close by. The location is great, close to the station and only just one stop from Schiphol

Great location if travelling by train or going to the airport.

Conveniently located near the Zuid train station. Amazing staff (thank you Robbie) and really comfortable bed. The bar was also well stocked and the food was lovely too. Breakfast a bit bland and uninspiring but nothing to take away from a 5 star rating. Will always look to stay here when working in the area.

Lovely hotel, showcases perfectly what a Smart Hotel (House) should be! Nothing bad to remark. Register via their website to receive a free drink by the way!

Price is mostly quite good, and the beds are big. It's a practical location, but that's all it is - if you're here for anything else than work i wouldn't go there.

Definitely one of the more unique hotels, with a very modern, unusual arrangement of room facilities. You can control everything from the iPad provided, there s a huge selection of TV channels and movies. You might struggle with room facilities if your height is above average. Super fast check-in and check-out, delicious breakfast, bar.

Was here for a coffee in their lounge one morning. Was bothered 3 times asking me to order another drink because apparently one coffee is not enough. Horrible attitude and experience. Unlike Hotel Hoxton, VolksHotel, Student Hotel, their lounge and cafe is only for guests. Nomad, definitely avoid this place because they do not welcome you. The M in CitizenM stands for money.

Nice concept, also in Taipei and New York. You just have to try it! All generations enjoy it, easy to socialise, real fun and...try the Portuguese wines....Fantastic!

nice staff, but small rooms, you can not do yoga in room

Location was a little outside of the hot spots, but it was a nice quiet area just a short walk away. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the staff was very helpful.

A perfect place for a business trip, the room has just what you need, a bed, a shower, a bath, but it's stylish and full of tech gimmicks. The basic idea is just go there for sleeping or relaxing , and stay downstairs in the living and social area with others, there is 24 h service .

Very modern and trendy hotel . Very good choice for business traveler . However the house keeping is not doing good job during my stay . I would recommend to use the same towels and blankets through the stay , saving the problem of getting annoyed by the house keeping service .

Loved it! Super friendly and helpful staff. Nice selection of drinks and food 24hrs a day. Really quirky, futuristic, clean, modern, comfortable room. Had everything we needed. Tram stop opposite takes you into the centre (15 mins), close walk to train station (8 mins) we took this from the airport and you can even buy transport tickets from the bar. Had a great stay and would definitely stay here again. However i would not recommend this hotel to people that are not 110% comfortable with each other.

Friendly atmosphere without being intrusive. A rare and valuable quality. More personal choices instead of being forced to live by someone elses rule book. Feels like being part of a community.

Cool hotel. Found the temperature in the rooms too hot. Had to change rooms from city view to garden view as you could hear loud music at night from the city view room on Friday night. Garden view is much nicer. The rooms take some getting used to if you like more spacious rooms. The staff are helpful and friendly. The bar and food facilities are great for vegetarians as well.

Not bad..not great. Main problem is the room air con. You can set the temperature but not stop it. And during the night it gets colder than you want...

Modern hotel on the outskirts of Amsterdam. Small rooms with bath and shower separated only by sliding doors. All controlled by an ipad. Well connected to the city.

Small, but highly efficient rooms in a very modern, very casual environment for work travellers. I liked the quick and efficient check in and check out. The breakfast was good and the fact that you can get coffee and drinks all day is great. The staff was cool. This isn't a five star hotel experience and you're not going to get crazy amenities. Instead, you get a very comfortable bed and efficiency.

Very cool and fun hotel. Rooms were clean.and compact. Best shared with a loved one or close friend. Toilet and shower in same room as bed. Shame about lack of kettle in room but otherwise was brilliant.

Friendly staff who are willing to bring you an extra duvet in the middle of the night. Furthermore, a delicious breakfast, clean room and close to the tram and station.

Very nice hotel. People working there are smiling and nice. They will take care of you..I also tried the Leonardo Royal and citizenM is better. Also the bar is open h24/24 ! Nice design. Cool concept.

I really liked this hotel. Price and quality are just super. I liked absolutely everything. Also a very beautiful interior of the hotel. Prices at the bar are affordable. The staff is very nice and always ready to help.

Nice comfortable clean pod style hotel with big beds in a quiet area. It is a little outside the city centre but the 5 tram is right outside and runs every 5 mins. Bike rental is included in the price and is about 20 mins to centre.

The design is interesting, the bed is so good, the shortcoming is that the shower room may leak. This time I stayed for four nights, two different rooms, one ok, one will leak, close to the train station zuid, the traffic is very convenient, and The bicycle can be used free of charge and the hotel staff is quite friendly.

One of my favorite hotels that Ive ever stayed at! The service is friendly the interiors are stylish, and the rooms are small but so functional! It felt much bigger than it actually it was!
