Very cool hotel... However the room could use a little "tightening up"

I loved my one-night stay. Pain-free slick check-in and check-out.

Your room is a box with all mod-cons built-in in a very original fashion - the shower is a floor-to-ceiling tube in the middle of the room.
Very comfortable bed.
The UK and US wall sockets to charge my laptop and phone we're an excellent bonus.

All in, an excellent hotel if you're a travelling light and nimble.

Staff are exemplary, greeted with a smile on every corner. Rooms do the job in a stylish manner. Leaving here knowing we made a great choice. Will certainly come back.

Strategic location as it is located both near the Zuid station and near the tram stop that takes you to the center of Amsterdam.

Really comfortable and high quality hotel comfortable distance from downtown hustle and bustle, but close to Amsterdam Zuidia, from which excellent transport links.

Non-standard hotel "capsule" type - shower, toilet, sink and bed are in the same room and fenced with partitions

my son & partner & my partner & I stayed in this hotel which is 2 minute walk distance from main entrance to airport. Hotel is retro-modern-great style, good service. the room is unique, toilet & shower are amazing, i felt like i must had been in a rocket's bathroom... private... The bed was absolutely the most comfortable bed I had slept in years & so quiet!! If I ever go to Amsterdam, I definitely wish to stay again in this hotel while in transit. totally recommend it !!

Very modern hotel. The rooms are okay for short stays, for longer just too small. Still very clean and a very friendly staff. The breakfast is also very nice. To get to the city center takes about 15 minutes by train.

Ridiculous, it should be a cheap boutique hotel, but it is neither cheap nor elegant: the room is as wide as the bed!

Rooms are very small. For a week stay was in the room hardly room for the luggage. Breakfast selection is very sparse and extends over a maximum of 2 meters long bar. Especially annoying: I forgot my front door key there, which was also found. Unfortunately, the hotel refuses to put this in an envelope, as this would be too complicated for them. Alternatively, they suggested me a courier, which requires 80 ...

Had a really good experience and a great time with friendly staff who could not do enough for you. Room was cozy and for technology freaks like me was ideal as everything was controlled by the ipad. As this was the first time we stayed at this hotel it was out in the suburbs away from the noise, but 20 minutes by tram to central. We were also 10 minutes on foot from the train station which took us 6 minutes back to the airport. Will definately be back to that hotel as it was home from home.

It's pretty good. Super modern and it's cheaper than most.

My toilet wouldn't stop flushing/running on both nights of my stay which was a bit annoying but one of those things and I had people in there twice to sort it. Resolved with the offer of a beautiful passion fruit cocktail, however!

The shower that looks so cool, is actually a bit of a pain functionally - you have to be enclosed in it to turn it on... We all know how that tends to end up.

But I really appreciated the smart room control system; the movies and channels. The staff were really nice and helpful, breakfast fab, lounge and bar area great.

If you're looking for a slightly cheaper stay, just outside the centre with good, fast access routes to the centre and the airport, at the cost of a pool and general hotel space and grounds - go for it.

Modern hotel which millenials will like. Quirky pod type rooms but comfortable with hi tech amenities. Staff super friendly and helpful. Perfect location for business district and a short journey to centre of Amsterdam via nearby public transport.

This hotel is a joke ... a marketing bubble but not a place to sleep.

Fancy and functional, not the best one for larger indoor activities due to its efficient usage of each single sqm in the room but great for a business trip where you aren't spending much time in your room. Bar is nice, though not a real restaurant included. All in all, no luxury but a great deal

Rooms are quite small, but very well planned - you have all that you need. Note that shower and toilet are in a format of glass cylinders right in your room (shower in a transparent cylinder, and toilet in a frosted glass cylinder) - you would share such a room only with an extremely close person. All amenities are controlled via an ipad - really handy and cool. The hotel is stylish, a bit funky and has very comfortable beds.

This hotel is amazing, perfect for me and my partner as it was not too far away from the bus station metro link and the train station also the staff were more than helpful and the bar is 24hrs which was preferred

Quick check-in/check-out process. Room nice, however a bit too small for me.

Stunning little places to stay and this Citizen is directly across from a little park. great to get your morning coffee and Amsterdams finest for the breakfast of champions.

l like walk to RAI though Beatrix park. I can see dogs aer playing there. It make my day.

It's good except not enough pillows and they didn't give fresh towels for the next day.

A connected hotel for a young audience. Modern room, toilet and shower in a glass cylinder, home automation managed by an iPad, ... But double bed accessible only by one side, and you must have a good balance to not fall in the shower. In the small flat, the hair dryer is a toy that we would not even want for his doll, so it is ineffective ...
After staying one night with indigestion, I have to add a star for service at 4am of a mint tea that was welcome.

Loved the place. This hotel is not your run of the mill hotel. Rooms are unique with a really nice shower. Beds are huge and flush against the room wide window. You get to control the light ambience in the room. There's a tram stop right outside of the hotel. This place is perfect for anyone going to the RAI center.

Attractive and kind of futuristic hotel with friendly staff. I liked the concept, nice hotel to spend 1or 2 nights.

Design and technology go well with this latest generation hotel. However, the level of cleanliness of the rooms should be increased a little.

The whole automation system and the design in the room are pretty amazing. It's like having a quick preview of what will be things in the future.

Very clean, impeccable. The room is small for two people, but very comfortable. Well connected to the center and the airport.

Really nice hotel concept. The lobby is very comfortable and the bag storage is secure. I did not get a good nights sleep due to the shower dripping all night. This wouldn't be as much of an issue but the shower is in the middle of the room, not enclosed in a bathroom. The hotel is about a 7 minute walk to Amsterdam Zuid Metro station. There are some nice restaurants and shops nearby but they are closed on the weekends due to it being a business area.

A very nice welcome, for the services at the bar, the waiters are unfriendly. The room is nice and fits the standard of the chain. The shower is transparent but a curtain can hide without problem if you do not go in pairs.

Awesome! Fresh, sleek, great size and nice bed with beautiful white sturdy bedding. Too bad that the shower cubicle is in the middle of the room, little privacy. Good cocktail bar, staffed all night long and great cocktails.

Had a fantastic time here, the self check in and out was fast, the beds were huge and so comfy. The staff were very friendly . The hotel is situated right next to the airport however it is very quiet. To get the Amsterdam central you have to get a 30 minute train journey. So be prepared to buy train tickets daily if you are staying here. The room is ideal for a weekend stay.

Staff are incredibly friendly, they make themselves available to you no matter what your query is. The food is wonderful, especially the tofu curry we had for dinner! Rooms are cleaned to perfection daily, and the amenities in the room leave nothing to be desired. iPad controls in regards to lighting, blinds and media are great - self explanatory and reliable! Only downside is the slight commute to Amsterdam city centre, but having discovered it's only 10 mins on the tram we soon got over this! Can't fault our experience with citizenM for our winter city break.

CitizenM is clearly a millennial hotel chain. The rooms are like a pod hotel, but with huge beds, fast WiFi and an iPad to control the lights and movies.

There's a big lounge downstairs, where the food was surprisingly good and the staff were amazingly friendly.

It makes the ideal place for a few nights stay for business. If I was staying any longer I'd want a bigger room in a different style place, but for a night or two I'd pick this over most other choices.

Part business hotel, part hipster den, this is the perfect place for a single person to stay. Affordable, clean and with the modern luxuries. Rooms are small, beds are huge and staff is great.

A different experience!!! Definitely inspiring as to how small spaces can be used efficiently. However, probably they went a little too far with having toilet in the same room so close to the living space.

A clean, efficient hotel conveniently located in Amsterdam south. Friendly staff, plentiful seating and workspace in the lobby. Free Wi-Fi and in-room movies. The rooms are small though comfortable. The breakfast buffet is OK but barristas are on staff to make your morning coffee which is an upgrade to most business hotels.

Best place to stay over for a tourist for couple of nights in Amsterdam. The best hotel I have for this price..

Boutique on a budget. Small but well appointed rooms with huge, stylish social areas and a busy bar with an excellent choice of drinks. Super friendly staff. It's always a pleasure to stay here. 10 minutes on the train to the epicentre of Amsterdam. Just far enough removed from the hustle and bustle to be a great base to retire to after a long, fun day/night.
