This is my last choice of the four campuses. I seem to frequently receive notifications through the EFSC alert system notifying me of lockdowns on this campus. As it is the main campus, it's congested, and it's hard to find some of the buildings you're looking for, especially if you haven't taken classes at the campus. I don't like the set up of their testing labs. They do have unique events at this campus, however, that other EFSC campuses do not offer. If it's close to your home, it may be an adequate option. However, if you have the opportunity to choose which campus you'd like to attend, I'd recommend the Palm Bay campus which has excellent teachers, an easy to follow campus layout, friendly people, ample parking, and a wonderful learning/testing lab.

The clerk was rude at the bookstore and acted like she had 1,000 better things to do when I was trying to pick up a book. I had my order email on my phone in hand ready to show her, but she didn't even give me a chance to show it. She was doing absolutely nothing!!!!!

If I could give this college less stars, I would. I've attended 4 different community colleges in various states before landing here, this one somehow is extremely underfunded. All of the buildings reek of mold and probably all need to be knocked down and re-built. Don't drink the water anywhere on campus unless it's bottled water.

The academic advising level here is weak. Prepare to get 20 different answers from 20 different people. What do they have in common? None of them know what they're doing, lol. I see them hiring on Indeed often... yikes.

Not sure how this school lacks basic materials when the rent-a-cops in the parking lot are making a cash cow. At least over 1k in parking lot ticket fines per night. Nothing like the big man making money off of starving college kids trying to get by, while the big man himself rubs elbows at the elitist parties on campus while eating plates of steaks and fancy hors d'oeuvres.

I've been to community colleges in bad areas that were incredibly nice schools, and somehow this one fails to meet all the marks. Bad reflection on Brevard county.

Current student in HVAC finishing up for certification. This school is just horrible with customer service. Anytime you have an issue or problem you need handled it will most likely result in talking to 4 different people in 4 different departments and you most of the time have to get a provost or somebody higher up involved. My first year in the HVAC program we had to pay for on hands training and we ended up with no on hands training. I complained to the provost and she assured me next semester would be much different. The following semester it was the same problem. This school is just an easy money maker for them. You will find that the people living within a 1/4 mile around the campus are all low income and always crime in the area. Save your money!!!

I've almost completed my bachelor's degree at EFSC. I would recommend this college. The bachelor's advisor is Lesa and she's very knowledgeable and efficient. The campus is small and easy to navigate. I've had no problems here. You can't beat the tuition rates and can't go wrong with an education from a public college or university.

Great campus! Planetarium does laser light shows with music from artists like led zeppelin, pink floyd, the doors, U2, the beatles, mannheim steamroller, etc. $7 tickets. Shows are every friday and saturday night@9 pm.
Huge library with plenty of quiet places.
Just don't hang out too long after dark. Bad neighborhood across street. Other than that, great place to take the kids for some fun and education.

I'm in the bachelor's program and all the classes are a joke. They're only available as online courses and the teachers provide no lectures or real lessons. The answers to every test are on Quizlet, so you can get an easy A if you know how to use google! Get your degree elsewhere if you actually want an education!

Melbourne campus...I talked to advisors for almost 2 years straight when I was pursuing my associates degree in nursing. I had everything laid out for me in writing of the classes that I needed for the AS in nursing. I took all of my pre requisite classes that I NEEDED for my specific program. About 4 months into the hard nursing program I was told that I needed 2 extra classes in order to graduate (that I didn t need when I originally got accepeted). One of the classes was Intermediate Algebra which I totally struggle in and it has been about 18 years since I took anything like it. Now I have to take a SIX week math program ON TOP of my nursing classes (which are plenty on their own), I m totally drowning. My point is... I should have been grandfathered in without needing that math until I personally decided to go for my bachelors degree...but instead I have no other choice and it s complete chaos....NO ONE should have to do ANY extra classes on top of nursing classes....completely unfair the way that they did this....I can t believe it. For someone who struggles in math severly...this is totally wrong. This is the Melbourne Campus that I m talking about FYI

It would seem that a lot of the reviews here are from entitled kids who expect everything to be easy for them. I've never had a problem with Advising, Financial Aid (Although I do payment plan and not federal aid), Classes or Professors. I'm only on my third semester and I work hard to get the grades that I'm getting, if I have a problem I work extra hard to solve it no matter what it may be. I understand that in the real world nobody is going to hand me anything.
I only have two major problems, the amount of high school kids that are in my classes is crazy, and I wish they would funnel some of the Melbourne money to us in Cocoa so they can fix some of the buildings that were messed up from the hurricane.
Overall though, its a good school and very affordable. Working on my AS now and then going for my Bachelors in Network Technologies: Cyber Security.

Great staff and great campuses, however I must complain of one staff member, Ms. Annette Tran. She sent a document to me in an email and said to fill out and send it back to her. Now note I live in Indialantic, so cocoa is a 1 and half hour drive. I then contacted her asking how to send it, through pdf or come to the Cocoa campus and she said she ll be at the cocoa campus. When I got there at the appointment on time I asked all over the campus and she wasn t there. Then I contacted her again and she said to just email it over. I did as instructed and she claimed that it was the wrong one. So I contacted her again and ask if she could send me the right pdf and she said to drive up to the cocoa campus and get the form. So I went again and no sign of her and the front desk handed me the document. I signed and sent it back and it was wrong again! I repeated myself for her to send it and she said the paper will be at the Melbourne campus. I went, got the paper but she still wasn t there. I then tried emailing it to her and it said my email got blocked, so I had to use my secondary email and I still wait word from her for 2 days now.

My most favorite campus out of the 4. Most of my favorite instructors and most successful classes were at Cocoa. This campus was the first and original campus anyways. There is a special vibe to the Cocoa EFSC campus. I've always enjoyed going to the planetarium. I hope the observatory returns. I am pro EFSC Cocoa Campus.

Teachers and staff are good which is what it's all about but, the basic math classes everyone needs filled up in a month and they didn't open more. In addition basically every building could use renovating.

I have been attending this school for 2yrs now and will be finishing my Associates this spring. I have had a great experience. Good teachers, good advisor, never had any issues obtaining financial aid. Also affordable. All around good school, no real complaints I can think of.

Cocoa campus is great. Most professors here know what they're doing. Every professor I've had was mostly nice, and some taught well. The only down fall is the math building smelling like mold and feet, and the parking lot always having used condoms scattered around it weekly. Other than that, the place is 3/5.
