Great hotel, the hall design is fantastic, the rooms are small but nice. The WC is just funny :)

We were impressed with free lounge with check-in support of cool staff, design furniture. Like a convenience store, I have a casual outlet in the refrigerator. The rooms seem to be the same, but the Unique shower booth and wide, spacious bed were very convenient. Young, casual, cool hotel.

Amazing hotel! Love the king bed, self check in, and accessibility to the airport. Also, amazing breakfast buffet! Wow. Great experience - definitely recommend.

Modern, boutique hotel close to the Amsterdam Zuid train station and also the world trade centre. Rooms are surprisingly comfortable, modular toilets, certainly not for the faint hearted. Self check in and check out. Beautiful lobby. Easy access via trams to the town centre. Worth a stay.

Fantastic stay. Reminded me of a capsule hotel in Japan, but everything is hella automated. It's ultra functional and you actually never need to interact with a human being if you didn't want to... Just like the dystopian future we've always dreamed about.

The smart room controlled with the Ipad and Apple TV is a nice gimmick. Rooms are a bit small but the design is great.

I just LOVE the place. Have been there so many times now and every time it's great experience. It's consistently very good quality service, great rooms, great staff and great location too. Use Amsterdam Zuid for access to airport and tram 5 to the city centre. Great hotel and great city. Loving it!

Excellent hotel located 15 minutes away from center city by bike or 25 minutes by subway. The hotel is extremely clean and very stylish. The rooms are very high-tech and genuinely feels like a "smart room". Beds are huge and comfortable, and the staff is excellent as well. Be sure to ask to borrow a bike from them during your stay. All of this for a genuinely good price! It's a little far from the touristic stuff, but it's right next to the Zuid train station, so access is easy. Would definitely recommend for single people or couples!

Very compact but super modern rooms, you have to be there for it. Breakfast could be more extensive, luckily nice coffee.

Hip, fun, unique and everyone here is so nice and happy! I especially love the iron haven. It's like home away from home and completely relaxing.

Modern hotel located next to the southern station, good communication with Amsterdam center (metro and tram). Very friendly staff Comfortable rooms, you can manage the lighting, radio, tv, alarm clock ... from a tablet (the bathroom is in two circular departments, very curious). Recommendable.

Big love for this hotel!

First of all, the service is amazing. Everybody smiles when talking to you and actively help you with all your needs. It makes you feel at home from the very beginning.

The rooms are compact, but absolutely not claustrophobic. I even had a king size bed. Furthermore, it was very clean and the rain shower was a blessing in the hot summer days, that applies to the working airco as well.

Everything in the room can be managed from the ipad which satisfied my gadget loving heart.

And in the end, I could make my boyfriend jealous with the new boyfriend who accompanied me during my whole stay (see picture).

Great and amazingly hospitable hotel. You feel truly welcome there and the stay is really pleasant.
The rooms are decidedly small but the design makes up for it. Smart room controls are cool and useful, I especially appreciated the alarm system and free movies.
The downstairs area is designed for you to spend time at instead of the cramped rooms and it serves the purpose really well.
The bar has a nice atmosphere going in the evening.
Good breakfast, ideal location for Zuid, excellent amenities, what's not to like?

I always stay here when i am in town for work its super easy to check in and out and i love the concept

Beautifully designed luxury hotel with an open and inviting lobby for networking, an open workplace, a company drink and the long tables invite you for a good conversation with your strange neighbor. A real meeting place. The decor of the hotel makes you curious. Everywhere is its own design very present and there is always something to read or watch on the walls. The corridors seem infinite through the mirrors. The rooms are small but luxurious. A huge bed and a huge shower (with lights!) Attract attention. Nice detail? A stuffed rabbit is waiting for you, you are never alone.

Kind of a cross-over between a budget and a design hotel. Check-in and check-out both take about a minute each via a computer terminal. Employees are available in case anything's unclear.

While the rooms are tiny, they have everything you need. Shades, lights, tv, etc. can all be controlled with an iPad, toilet and shower are kind of included in the room (but can be separated with glass walls/doors). Everything is clean, the bed is super comfortable, the communal area is cozy and design-oriented, and the bar has a good choice of drinks.

Hotel is amazing. Very modern, you could check-in over the internet and on place it takes few seconds to get a room card. Tasty and rich breakfest. Small but very purposefully equipped rooms. All you can control remotely over tablet :) We enjoyed it a lot...

A very nice concept! However more suitable for a couple: double bed only, shower and toilet in the room (no bathroom, they are enclosed in "tubes" transparent but slightly blurred)

This place reminded me of a futuristic 90s movie, like Fifth Element or something. It's crazy, but I loved it. The bed was huge and so comfortable, and since it's a pod, it's almost silent. I'd stay again, but probably only if alone or with my husband, as there is no real separation from the bed and bath/toilet space. Really cool hotel.

citizenM is a bad hotel disguised by fancy marketing. The rooms are generic, prefabricated little hellholes with a toilet directly in the middle of your bedroom. There could be no privacy. My tiny room is how I imagined Winston's room in Orwell's "1984", but with cheap modern materials: lots of plastic, and the sort of imitation wood you might find on the side of a 1987 Oldsmobile station wagon. I will never again stay at this hotel nor with this brand.

The lone bright spot: the barista made an excellent cappuccino.

Went there with a friend for her check-in. The check-in process was smoothest for what I've seen most hotels. Staff was really nice n helpful.

other than the non-existing private bathroom (toilet in the middle of the room), everything was fab.

Great for a short stay. Really comfy bed and entertainment options are great. Rooms are very small with unconvential shower and toilet, but once you get past that, it's a nice place.

The room design is not for everyone, don't forget to dock your room's iPad otherwise you cannot turn on your TV. Coffee is good but not the breakfast. No kettle to boil your water for your tea. I would prefer other hotel that sampe price but provide more benefit.

Very nice modern hotel that offers a lot in the tightest of spaces. In the double room big comfortable bed. All technology (roller blind, TV, climate, lighting, color) can be controlled with the room's associated iPad. The only drawback, barely intimacy when showering. Process not opaque.

Stripped back uber-minimalist hotel gives you what you need without all the fuss. Comfy bed, drench shower, air con, mood lighting, tones of free entertainment, well stocked bar... What more do you need? A free drink for booking on their website? Ok

Rooms we're very clean and the areas around the hotel were amazing. Staff went above and beyond and helped with everything. If it's your first trip to Amsterdam I'd recommend this hotel just purely because it's so easy to get around in zuid (where the hotel is) to the museums and central station.

Unusual conception of room arrangement. And are made as glass tubes inside the room. Perfect - wide, nice to sleep. Convinient location close to Ams Zuid station, 15 minutes to center and 10 to airport.

Very happy I picked this hotel. Short walk from the arrival hall. Friendly staff, easy and streamlined checking-in and check-out. Ultra-modern, so if you like old-fashioned charm, this is not for you. Room was very clean and stylish. Will definitely stay here again as I travel through AMS.

The location is great if you are a business traveler but it's still pretty good for sightseeing as it's right next to a tram and a train station. The room is nice and clean.

Good concept for short stay of 1 or 2 days. But not for longer stay especially for business stay. Not enough room to even hang your clothes.

Excellent city hotel, near the zuid station. Excellent rooms that are not too big but very well finished. Excellent cleaning. Bicycles included in the price and luggage storage service are available. Friendly and extremely polite staff. If I were to return to Amsterdam I would definitely stay there again.

That is the place where I wanna stay again! Awesome staff, clean and SMART rooms. I do like to design or reception -which takes 5 mins to find reception desk, comparing to usual ones and room-in rain showers are the best overall that is the best price/quality deal that you can get in town

Superb funky hotel with many high-tech functions. Loved the design, free movies and the tablet room control. Less so the cylindrical showers and toilets in the middle of the room which leave very little individual privacy - even with the extra dividing curtain. I am not sure you really want to see your partner (even if just a silhouette) take a dump in the middle room while you check out the news from your bed. Perhaps it's just me and my cultural background but that was not very romantic. Also missing was a small fridge to store fresh produce (such as those delicious cheeses). Otherwise the service was extremely friendly and helpful (what little service you really needed with all the user friendly gadgets around) and the location (while slightly far from Centraal Station) was quite convenient once you figured out the tram system and line number 5.

Very convenient location: less than 5 min walk to the airport terminal of Schiphol and yet very quite rooms. Hotel is rather affordable and offers a fantastic king size bed, super fluffy towels, iPad controlled room features (colorful lighting, media, ...), free movies on demand, a rainshower and funny little texts hidden in every corner of the room. Rooms are cleverly designed but really tiny and bathroom facilities offer little privacy (no problem when sharing the room with a loved one). It is not possible to make the room very dark: light pours in as soon as the sun's up. Only rooms for 2 are available.

Cool business and tourist hotel. The decor is a bit suspect. The way the bathroom and toilet is designed are also not nice, especially if you are staying as a couple.

Every time I stay at Citizen M it's a great experience. Easy to get to, well designed inviting spaces and staff that just make everything about your stay wonderful

Second time staying here really good tho had a drippy shower this time which normally isn't a problem but in these rooms the showers next to the bed. Super friendly and helpful staff.

This is a fun place. Friendly staff and really innovative small rooms that are not much bigger than the size of a caravan. Nice lighting and everything was well signed and easy to use. Good WiFi and TV. Friendly staff and a bustling 24 hour bar. Located near Amsterdam South station which is 15 minutes on the easy and clean Metro. Some shops and restaurants around the station too. Amsterdam isn't cheap and this hotel was typical city center pricing but I'd come here again.

Very nice hotel, courteous staff and great value for money, continental breakfast served here - delicious and fresh. The only big disadvantage is that the bathroom and shower are not really separated from the space of the room and are relatively transparent (sliding door in the shower stall and the same principle only with toilets). It is also far from the center, but relatively close to a very central station, which is also reached by the train.

For a single traveller it's a good place and has the average hotel price of the city.

Using the shower can be a bit difficult as the doors won't close well which is needed for the shower sensor to activate.

Bed was wonderful and staff is very friendly.

Very modern hotel. Check-in is done in seconds at the self-service terminal if you have checked in online in advance. Lights, TVs, blinds and heating in the room are all handled with an iPad.

The shower (clear glass) and toilet (frosted glass) integrated into the rooms are a matter of taste, which could disturb one or the other.

The rooms are also not very spacious, but perfectly adequate for a few overnight stays. The bed is very comfortable.

This is a bit old compared to other CitizenM.

I would only use it if I needed a very cheap hotel, it is far from the center.
