Smart, nice, surprisingly expensive (but that's just Amsterdam) and definitely "compact" room. I would guess that it is after two nights at least something "too compact" and annoying.

Hotel of the future! Loved the automatic check-in and unique futuristic rooms. The bar is open late and there are snacks and drinks available to purchase almost anytime of the day. Great for a business trip or short stay.

Transportation: 5-8 minutes walk from the train station, 3 minutes walk from the tram bus stop, and 6 minutes by train from the airport.
Room: Clean, the bed is large, the room is small, but the equipment is perfect.
Service staff: Kind, if there are any doubts, they will try their best to help us solve (there are Taiwan employees).
Cost: The only downside is that the price is high, but the general price of Arms is not cheap, so it is still acceptable.

Really enjoyed our stay here. The rooms are just the right size for two people and we loved how you could control the lights and blinds with the iPad etc. Really nice place to stay too, not too far Away from the city centre and in a lovely quiet little area. The staff were amazing too especially Elton. (I think that's what his name was haha) was so helpful and made us feel so welcome.

Besides the hotel being clean and modern (in a positive way) you have an amazing team running this place. The staff went above and beyond when it comes to service and we are very thankful to them. Great location for short stay and if you do intend to stay longer to explore, public transportation is just around the corner.

After paying 215 for a rotten and disgusting hotel in the middle of the city center where we were forced to pay before we could see the room, our companion and I stayed at this hotel recommended by my sister.

For only 15 more, including breakfast, we were treated to a cleanliness, class and modernity without a name. With a room that can be controlled entirely from a table, with a King size bed and the possibility of choosing an atmosphere with lights. Ideal for a couple.

My boyfriend wanted to have flowers delivered to me when I got there, but problems with the first hotel had wasted time, it was too late. But the receptionist made us deliver a bottle with two glasses of champagne instead, which were offered by the hotel. A very nice compensation for the problems we had with the previous hotel which refused to refund us for the room we did not stay.

I really cannot fault this hotel! Thanks to my sister for her advice.

Good place but only if the rooms had a bit of space to breathe...too small rooms with bathrooms hanging around the passage gets too irritating.the breakfast was good.

Heel modern eigentijds hotel. Kleine kamers met alles wat je nodig hebt. Goed ontbijt. Heel vriendelijk personeel. Bijna alles Engelstalig.

The designer hotel was very interesting. On the one hand it was kept simple and a bit small and on the other hand everything was very practical. The bed was very comfortable and everything was super clean. What I thought was great was the iPad. From there you could control the lights and the shutters and the TV. We had a huge selection of films and there was really nothing missing.

The hotel staff was always very accommodating and very friendly.
I must refer this hotel again on my next visit to Amsterdam!

The staff is super friendly and helps you in any way possible.
The rooms are quite small and there's no separate bathroom: the shower and toilet are right there in the room with the giant bed. Wi-Fi and entertainment is free and great. Rooms with a Garden View are absolutely quiet and guarantee a great rest.
The breakfast is tasty and fresh and you find everything from fruit to yoghurt to muesli to eggs with bacon to bread and all kinds of coffee specialties that are specially prepared upon your request.
There's really nothing the staff could've done to make us feel more at home!

Functional rooms, perhaps tries a bit to hard to be trendy. Rings editor be perfect with a kettle and a small fridge. Never tried their food but it seemed popular. Good location for vumc and elsewhere in the 5 tram line

Fantastic Hotel from the rooms right down to the brilliant staff. I have never been anywhere that I could not find a fault, but this hotel you would struggle to find any negatives.

stayed in some posh places before and this place is easily on a par (if not better). Amazing staff and the rooms are basic but all you need, only 10 minted to centre of Amsterdam by tram for which there is a stop bang outside!

Had a great time there. Room I stayed in wasn t very big but had everything. Staff was always well intentioned and helpful. Everything was 100% clean and organized. I ll come back for sure!

Amazing rooms, the beds were so comfortable it was hard to even leave! Great staff and close to the tram which bring you into the city. Would recommend here as a stay for young people travelling to Amsterdam and couples

Staff incredibly friendly, hotel is quirky and clean. A very good stay overall, though I have to question the value for money, the place isn't cheap despite the fact everything is pretty basic. I would have to say its overpriced for what it is; even the drinks at the bar are way too much, but still a good hotel.

We spent 5 nights at this hotel not at all suitable for couples or stays.

Indeed
- the interweaving of the toilet / shower with the bedroom
- the fact that the bed occupies the entire width of the room and is high enough
prevent a pleasant time in the room between two sightseeing trips and make evenings and nights uncomfortable.

Here are some illustrations
- the interlocking of the sanitary facilities with the bedroom is not pleasant from a point of view of privacy and poses problems in regulating the air conditioning (which cannot be turned off). Either we aim for a pleasant temperature for sleeping and we are cold in the shower or we aim for a pleasant temperature for the shower and we cannot sleep.
- the bed being very high, you have no view when you are installed in the single small armchair,
- the storage is under the bed, which is not very pleasant to access our belongings,
- access to the sleeping area near the window necessarily impacts the other person.
- the sink is ridiculously small.
In addition, the cleaning is not done regularly.

So do not take this hotel if you want a pleasant stay ...

The hotel is very clean and the staff super friendly but:
Very poorly placed (5 stops from the center)
The hotel is located in an industrial area there is nothing around or restaurant or cafe.
The rooms are tiny and you can not open the windows to ventilate the room.

Really cool place to stay in Amsterdam! Everything is connected and the personal is very kind.

Interesting Hotel, everything inside the room is handled with an ipad, TV, light, color of light, music, movies. The breakfasts are very European (scrambled eggs, bacon, fruit in syrup, juice and coffee in buffet) It is excellently located near the Green Tech (agricultural fair) and a very nice park, Beatrixpark. Amsterdam Zuid train / metro is 3 minutes away. They lend bicycles to walk.

Loved it, great staff, rooms are tiny but stylish and cosy, great for a couple but would not share the room with a friend. Connection to town centre is excellent (tramway very close). Bar is very nice, would get 5 stars if the breakfast would have more variety. After two days you don't want to see it anymore.

Shower in a tube. Poop in a tube. Sleep right next to where you just did all that. Beds are very comfy but proximity to everything else makes it a bit weird. Also DO NOT attempt to order deliveroo or other bring in food as they will treat you like a criminal for daring to eat something from outside. Unless of course you take it to your room in which case you can eat it on the toilet or in bed. All that said, the staff is very nice and they don't make the rules, so it's hard to blame them for doing their jobs.

Friendly staff, lovely atmosphere. The showers and toilets are a bit weird though - form triumphed over function.

We've been to other CitizenM and expected the same level of cleanliness. Quite disappointed to have a slippery shower floor, oily menu cards, which indicated a sloppy sense of cleanliness. Otherwise, the ground staff is friendly, the breakfast is good, and the location is convenient to local transport. Would not consider a return.

Fantastic modern hotel, loads of free media in the rooms and mood lighting for however Your feeling haha.

Modern but no and too much technology (air conditioning can not be switched off, window is not open)

Very clean and modern, and right next to the tram station. Nice and quiet at night and service was amazing. They even gave us free champagne and food to celebrate their anniversary. Will definitely stay here again when we come back to Amsterdam!

Do love citizen M hotels. Whilst the transport into the city centre from here was convenient enough, its a little bit of a pain travelling back once the trains stop

A design hotel based on a first price approach - numerous rooms, bathroom directly in the room separated by a curtain, minimalist furnitures - but declined into a premium and digital vision. You pilot everything (temperature, lights, ambiance) from an iPad. VOD for free. Not so far from the center by tram. Very clean. Perfect for a professional journey.

Very nice clean and new hotel !! Unique design. The staff very helpful. It is located in a quiet and very convenient location 5 km away from the center. The train, metro, tram, bus station is next to !!! Very easy train access to Schiphol Airport. One stop, 6 minutes, 4 euros !! All the functions in the room are made through an I pad (setting and changing lights, air conditioning, curtains, TV) really convenient and fun. It also has enormous and very comfortable beds. I highly recommend.

Hotel for young hipsters. Rooms for two people only. Very stylish but impractical, especially the use of showers. Breakfast good but with few options and repetitive. Would not go back.

The citizenM had a very modern but comfortable feel to it. I loved the ease of checking in and out. Kiosk is nice to use but they also have an employee there in case you have any questions. They really went above and beyond with the tech in the room. There's an iPad where you could control the whole room, for example the lights, temp, blinds and tv. The beds are King sized and room sized just right and I appreciated how they were economical and made use of every single space. I loved it and I would definitely stay there again.

Rooms were compact but nice, extremely nice looking and the entertainment options were excellent. Well located for transport into the center of the city.

Unique and quirky hotel, excellent customer service and decor in the lobby, very relaxing and free computers are useful. Self service check in is efficient and the rooms are easy to find. The rooms themselves are interesting, especially having 'tube' style shower and toilet in the common space, but it really doesn't detract from the room. The iPad to set the room is excellent and the movies are good to chill out and relax to. Included hairdryer is a good bonus and the staff were more then helpful in supplying extra hair care products and slippers

Very surprising hotel, different but loved the angle. Small rooms but very cleverly designed with huge beds, very futuristic, great shared spaces which encouraged the lone business traveller to mingle and perhaps not feel so alone on their trip. Will definitely visit again.

Modern, clean, nice hotel, extremely friendly staff. Rooms are probably the smallest you will ever see, but that's the style of the house, minimalist but complete: you probably don't need more and that's perfect for an escape. Not sure that suit well family needs, you would most probably need more than one room, but staff can arrange to have them next to each other. Breakfast is complete, not so much variety and choice, but good quality for the price. The restaurant has a short menu, not a lot of options, there is no room service but you can order and pick up downstairs and bring it to your room. All in all, nice experience. Recommended.

Fun hotel. Great staff. The breakfast area is somewhat crowded, but the food is good. The rooms are cool, and I love the 'smartness' even though controlled by a stupid iPad instead of a proper android tablet. The electronic blinds are loud and you can actually hear when your neighbors are using it. If you're traveling alone and on a budget, I would really recommend this hotel.

If you like gadgets you will love this hotel, mini iPad controller for TV, lights, curtains and shutters. Probably one of the comfiest hotel beds you will find in a quirky hotel with friendly staff..... stayed before and will stay again.

Best hotel I have ever stayed in! Staff are extremely friendly and happy to help at all hours of the night. The distance from the hotel to the centre is the only thing that I didn't enjoy. I walked to and from the centre each day. Yeah I know it sounds crazy but I enjoyed soaking up all my surrounding and getting used to where I was the whole time. My feet were killing me by the end of my holiday but it was well worth and getting back to that luxurious hotel room made it all the more worth. Will definitely stay here again! Next time I will be acquiring a week long tram ticket for sure!
