Tech enthusiasts of the world, unite. There is a hotel for your digitally troubled soul.
CitizenM is a lovely and warm place for the traveling nomad that just wants to plug in and chill out.

That clattering over each other remains a minus point. The double person is standing across the narrow space and has only one boarding side.

Great relaxed atmosphere, modern, clean room, a bar/canteen and space to work or relax. Friendly service. Location is great, one stop from Schiphol (intercity train), a short stroll to hotel. Metro and buses close too. Would stay here again!

High tech rooms, great spacious beds, friendly staff. Most suited for business travel, or parties of 2 max.

Very unusual design hotel. Make sure that you get the breakfast coffee "free" if you do without daily room cleaning, note hangs a little hidden on the door. Only the toilet is a little getting used to because you are separated only by a frosted glass of the "environment"; but hilarious. Tram is in front of the door and already 2 stops away, the first bars and cafes in the residential areas are available.

It's clean, friendly staff and the high-tech experience definitely makes it worth checking out.

You check-in yourself and choose your own room using their check-in machine. You control everything with a tablet in your room, such as TV, blinds, mood lights. They have apple TV as well and lots of different movies and channels.

Its not just the rooms and the hotel that s hip and savvy but even the staff !

I started with prejudice, for the very small rooms and the conformation of the services inside the room. I must say instead that in the end the stay turned out to be completely comfortable and pleasant. Very nice environment, bright rooms, very cordial staff, I recommend it for long stays.

Although the rooms are not exactly huge, they are well designed. The double bed is massive and the shower and toilet is placed around a circular cubicle with slidding doors. All the electrics of the room are controlled by an iPad! Brilliant location for getting to Schipol airport (1 stop on train) & number 5 tram stop is 2 mins walk. Breakfast or dinner buffet is about 16 per person and it's just OK. They have a bar too. Recommend.

Great hotel, great service, great pricing and great place to stay. Was an overall perfect decision to stay at this hotel!

On my next visit I'll definitely be staying with CitizenM again and will be staying longer as my visit was very short.

It's very nice hotel but there are some quirks. The ros are small but nicely layed out. There is very little privacy for the bathrooms.

Just returned from a 3 night stay at hotel. Thoroughly enjoyed our time at hotel especially breakfast which was 13.95 euro per morning which allowed us to top up coffees & juice as often as required and eat a cold or warm breakfast .. or both!
Rooms compact but do the job great plenty of room for 2 after the initial shock of size when first see lol. Immaculately clean & all the latest high tech going on from moving blinds to being able to chill out and watch a movie or 2 between your itinary for Amsterdam.
Staff most helpful especially Robbie who took time out to draw us tram route on map making the business clearer for us! Asked for extra pillows which were brought to room asap no problem and settled our extras via card on departure.
Would stay again. Easy walk to all town centres if fit or jump a tram just around the corner. Train station to and from Airport 5 mins walk from Hotel. CHECK IT OUT X Have Posted videos inside hotel x

The concept is simple: you have everything you need in a hotel, the rooms are small but optimized, the team is smiling and caring, and the hotel is 10 minutes by bike from the city center

Modern, comfortable hotel with good connection to the city center by tram. An Uber to the city center would about 10.

The best place to stay if your headed to Amsterdam for any length of time!

I'm right know in the hotel, there is no room service at all. My room is like a cube. I called room service to bring hot water and got a message we won't bring it at room, you have to come down at bar to get it. Disappointed!

Worst stay ever.
Freezing during the whole night.
I arrived and was well received. Got even a voucher for s drink, which was friendly.
But actually what I need as frequent traveller is to sleep well, not necessarily a drink...
This is where it starts: the temperature in the room was freezing in the room. I could set the temp higher on the fancy IPad, but the room temperature did not change....
After a call to the reception they confirmed the temperature discrepancy and told me that they increased it manually, but that it could take up to one hour.
Nothing changed. Woke up in the night, even having a second blanket, from the cold several times.
When sharing I was offered to have the night reimbursed, but the email later only posted a 25% discount...
First and last time I went to this hotel brand.

No-nonsense self-service check-in/check-out however friendly staff are always around. A nice addition are free bicycles available to borrow. Unfortunately there is construction going on in front of the building now but it was quiet on the garden side.

Excellent hotel. Feeling like at home. Small rooms, but big enough for people without children. Free wifi, telephone calls and if you are going to stay in room videos...Stuff is friendly. No fitness, but there is nearby park.

Super modern hotel, huge bed, unusual decor (glass shower in the middle of the room), therefore best for singles or couples. I have been here several times and would return anytime. By tram 5 in about 20 minutes in the city center.

One of the earlier Citizen M hotels with shower and wc separate units so uses a lot of extra room space up. Less storage than newer hotels in group. Not my best experience of the group as room cold, also mentioned in other reviews I have since read but generally nice staff.

I am in the hospitality industry over 25 years now, from studies and working in Canada to my own small properties in Greece where filoxenia (hospitality in Greek) is as most importance.
You guys should be in wikipedia for the meaning of hospitality , especially Robby and Inez (that i spoke with more) but the rest of the team members as well, along with the concept, facilities, cleanliness...

Very good, perfect place to rest, clean organized and quiet.

Located quite far from city center in the "office building" part of town, this techie hotel is located quite close to a train station (but offers no parking). It is definitely the strangest hotel I've ever stayed in, with its futuristic room design.

The bed and it's comforter were my favorite aspects, big and comfy. I wouldn't want to stay here with someone in my room however as the shower and toilet occupy prominent places in the middle of the room. The tube like doors that can enclose them and adjustable "mood lighting" make them feel like space transport columns. The shampoo provided was on harsh on my hair and I would have preferred a conditioner as well (though I do like the big, bulk container provided rather than wasteful mini bottles).

Everything in the room (lights, temperature, blinds, TV) is controlled by an iPad which is very cool, but also annoying if the iPad locks up which it did every morning when the alarm I set went off. (Known bug they are trying to fix.) I also appreciated the US plug available (located by the sink, vs bed/desk but still meant no converter required to power a phone or laptop with long cord).

Overall, this trendy and unique hotel feels like you're sleeping in a well-funded startup.

Very friendly, great atmosphere, really comfortable, great transport! Better bang for the buck than any other at same price range.

Citizenm in amsterdam is a fanatic hotel to stay in. The staff are incredibly friendly and the location is perfect. A 3 minute walk to a tram station takes you straight to Dam square in around 15 minutes. Jose, one of the staff members there, went above and beyond. Taking time out to ask everyone how they were, if they needed help and even pointing out places of interest and how to get there. The room is cosy and you need to be comfortable with each other if you are sharing. All in all me and my girlfriend had a wonderful experience and would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Fun rooms, with great bed. Downstairs a lot of relaxing area's, work space and a bar for drinks and food. Perfect!

Strangely designed room that is equipped with the latest technology. Everything can be controlled via an app. Shower and toilet are in the room. It looks nice but has its disadvantages.
The staff is very nice and helpful. Check-in and check-out is very quick using machines.

A surprising and awesome concept! Lovely staff and lots of energy. Eclectic and creative decoration. The bedroom of a complete catalog of movies! Bedding very comfortable!

Love the ease of use and laid back ness of the staff! Again coffee standards fluctuate dependent on who serves you but the team are warm, caring and engaged. Food for me needs to offer better variety within its grab and go

An amazing hotel with friendly receptionists. The rooms are highly advanced in technology, where you can adjust room temperature, light and curtain simply on an ipad. Awesome place to stay for one night after long-distance flight.

Really cool place with very friendly staff and 24*7 open bar and canteen.i liked the rooms and it's not that expensive.checking in and out is very easy,they are also very easily accessible by WhatsApp and mail,and reply promptly which helped me check in earlier than the scheduled time.

Very friendly staff; they truly value you as a customer. Huge TV'S with a ton of channels in the rooms. Very modern vibe in the hotel, it's a neat, trendy place.

Nice place to sit for a coffee, but the service is not great. Servers are nice, but seem to be not trained well. It's slow, and the quality of the coffee varies widely.

Super nice hotel. The design is modern without compromising the overall atmosphere of the hotel. The rooms are small, but everything is in it in a smart and modern way. Upon entering the room you will be greeted with a set theme. That makes the atmosphere futuristic and special. The central hall, where everything seems to take place during dinner and breakfast, is spacious but still nice and cozy.

Staff are, as far as experienced, adequate in answering your questions. Please note, you often have to communicate in English. This may not be nice for everyone.

No thrills, self service check in/out in less than 15 seconds (I kid you not), clean rooms, amazing bed and a very modern way to control lights/air/everything in the rooms makes this my favorite hotel to stay in in Amsterdam. 15 minutes away from the airport and easy to reach the center from, location wise it's great too. Sleeping wise - one of the top 3 beds I've slept in globally!

Fantastic hotel near South/Zuit station. All modern amenities, and piles of the best modern furniture from Vitra. Kingbed rooms were small but perfect, and I loved the crazy toilet and shower pods.

Great hotel. Very nice staff. Perfect for that. Room a bit small but very comfortable. The glass shower next to the bed with transparent curtain was ... getting used to, but you share the room with friends.
