It is all about this 5 hotel really really great, sea, pool, very good and friendly people - high-

Very nice Ka Resort but eating is not frankly sweet and the lack of diversity is very large

Were in 2018 and 2019 December. I liked everything very much. The rooms are updated every year, clean, fresh, cleaned daily.

Great hotel with delicious food and top staff! Everyone is very nice and attentive. In the Columbus bar, the staff has quickly noticed what we drink, so we had to say nothing at the end of the holiday, what we would like :-) Hotel area is very large. If you do not want to run, you can use a shuttle. We were in Building 4, which was perfect for us. The hotel has its own house reef which is very nice! However, the hotel is very remote, that means who wants to go to the city, must go by taxi. The hotel is very clean and just a fantastic view from the balcony. The only thing that bothered me was the people on the beach who wanted to sell you some tours, fotoshootings or massages. On the house-own-beach you would like to enjoy the peace. For people with physical impairments it is in my opinion not suitable, as it goes up and down the mountain and many stairs are available. The hotel definitely recommendable and we would book it again!

I visited this hotel in September 2020...and I was left speechless.

First, I must express my gratitude to Mr. Mohamed Abdel Wahab, general manager of the hotel. This wonderful person was a key ingredient in making my stay at Citadel exceptional - and the reason why I will come back again.

Detailed breakdown is below:

Architecture: Insane. I have never seen anything like this, and I am glad I did now. You should not observe at Citadel as hotel, but as a 1000-year old kingdom-fortress. Design, attention to details, quality of construction is out of this world. On every step, you can see that there was no compromise about cost. You just sit at Columbus cafe, observe and ask yourself how many architect and engineers lost their minds planning this marble.

Staff: Perfect mix of professionally and friendliness. You can easily see that not everybody can get a job in Citadel.

Food: Although all hotels work with reduced capacity and lower food options...This was not noticeable here. Plenty of choice, and you will not get bored even in the main restaurant (there are even crabs at open buffet!). And there are no problems with "all food tastes the same". It doesn`t, taste is fabulous.

Rooms: Big, spacious, clean....again, you don`t see savings here. Don`t expect cheap wood-frame beds, check the photos. TV-s are 40-inch, so bring your HDMI cable and USB drives.

Beach: This is a bit specific segment. Hotel has 1 kilometer of its coral reef, so open-sea access is a bit problematic. But, there are 3 lagunas:
- Northern, natural laguna. Beautiful, sandy all-the-way, nice entry to deep segment, full of fish even at knee-depth. It is protected from open-sea waves by rock formation. Also, through this beach you can go to coral reefs. The only flaw is that it can get a bit crowded
- Central, artificial laguna. I didn`t spend a lot of time here, but again, easy access to deep water and coral reefs
- South, artificial laguna. Better than central, and also, easy access to deep water and open sea

Anyhow....I give this hotel a solid 10. Due to the sheer size of the hotel, and everything it offers, you should consider more as a "Experience" than "Vacation"

Hotel huge and beautiful - you have to admit food great service great. The problem in its size - you have to overlap a lot busik rides but every now and then. Well, ATTENTION there are plenty of them on the tricksters and they don't give you peace.

The hotel was good but the problem is that there is renovation everywhere and all the stuff are new .

Honestly one of the most luxurious hotels ever and the staff are very helpful and friendly the food there is very good and the views there are spectacular I would like to go there again and spend my holiday also the animation team are so professional and the activities are fun and perfect for all ages.

A super nice and above all clean hotel! Very spacious and something for everyone. Peace and relaxation on the one hand, action and animation on the other side of the 1.5 km long property.
Tip, be sure to dive or snorkel on the house reef!

The hotel is very far from the road and taxis are not allowed. You have to walk 2 km to your taxi, or take their taxi at a very overpriced. It turns out that upon arriving at the hotel you are like in a prison, you cannot go anywhere

Rested at the hotel at the end of September 2020.
We drove from the airport for about 20 minutes. The downside is that the hotel is located somewhat on the outskirts, to get to the city you need to order a taxi. We arrived early in the morning, settled in without any problems at 7 am, and immediately got to breakfast. The room is cleaned, in the 5th building, the view is beautiful. All rooms with sea views, spacious. The area is huge, well-groomed there is where to walk after dinner. The staff is friendly. We were with a child 4 years old, no one was hungry. We are not spoiled in food, but as for me everything was enough.
For breakfasts: tea, coffee, juice, latte, cocoa, melon, omelettes, various cereals, cheeses, sausages, cottage cheese, yoghurts, jams, pastries, toasts, vegetables, fruits, milk porridge, pancakes. Breakfast seems to be from 7 -ten
Lunch from 12-15, if I'm not mistaken. Always grilled or meat or fish (well, it could sometimes burn) French fries, fish in batter, shawarma, burgers, pizza, soups were but we did not try, bread, pastries, fruits, vegetables, a lot of greens, often seafood, pasta, tea, coffee drinks
Dinner: Turkey, french fries, pastas, a lot of different vegetables, greens, fruits, pastries, fish or sushi (unpretentious), crabs were only once ... Our family personally did not starve, we even ate very much.
If you do not want to be pestered with excursions, tie a red scarf on your lounger, you can ask for it at the reception. There is a safe in the room, the plumbing is in good order, the bar was replenished with water, cola, sprite for free.

Great location very well maintained nice large rooms clean great pools staff very friendly Fitness studio ok, thank you very much Soma for yoga and Stretsching. Diving school and the personal top.Hausriff great for snorkeling. The food was very delicious. I can recommend further "That was the plus of the minus side unfortunately the Egyptian guests do not pay any attention to other people.

Great facility, very clean and the staff is extremely friendly. Unfortunately very remote, so rather something for peace searching people. I personally found food extremely bad. Everything tasted the same.

Huge facility. Time for a walk. In the meantime switched from the Azur Hotel chain to Albatros.
Very good restaurants and bars. Great rooms except maybe the bathroom. Actually great beach. With its own reef for diving and snorkeling. But getting into the water only with bathing shoes. This significantly reduces swimming fun.
We had booked here yet again. It is just too beautiful.

I was at Albatros Citadel Resort in January 2019. Great hotel! A very nice service, from the reception desk through waiters, bartenders (special thanks to Waled and Mobarek), hotel bell men, cleaning men to lifeguards. Tasty food, drinks at the highest level :-) Spacious rooms with a safe and a mini bar included in the price. Original bottled beverages, not vending machines. Live music every day :-) Great atmosphere, great views :-) I recommend it with all my heart! I will come back there for sure !
The only drawback is that wi-fi only works in designated areas.

This new management (albatros) is sooo poor, service is poor, staff can't even smile, cleanliness is very bad, food not good, even people serving drinks were not nice atall and tell us to go pick what we want ourselves.
The location and the building itself is amazing but unfortunately very poorly managed. If u only care about view and snorkeling then go ahead and reserve, but just don't expect good treatment like other hotels around.
They were also putting public cameras that are accessing our room (without us knowing) added the image here (taken from inside our room)
Also they don't consider if u have certain food allergy and they cant even answe if an item is gluten or lactose free or not

the hotel is perfect is view is breathtaking, the animation team is awesome they are really friendly, fun and creative they always make sure everyone is having a great time, even my 3 years old son loved the kids club activities with Tanya who is amazing and made great friends. The food was great i hated that the lobby and Harbour inn restaurant didn't have any air conditioners the guests and the staff were literally melting.
My biggest concern that nearly ruined my vacation is that i was banned to use the pool as i wore a burkini and this reflects bad management and illogical regulations.

Highly recommended, every room with a sea view, good food, nice staff, everything was clean, 2 dolphins come to the harbor once a week between 3:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m., but I would recommend the shops, hairdressing salon, massage parlor, and taxi Stand advise against every 150 percent more expensive than normal.

Very big with lots of stairs and baffle. The average age was about 50 years old with a majority of German and Russian. No good Wi-fi everywhere.

Beautiful hotel, clean towels every day, helpful staff but incredibly large. Hotel has several swimming pools, its own harbor, its own boulevard. A bus runs to take you from one side to the other. Unfortunately two separate beds.

Very beautiful resort, kind people. The food is okay. It has its own coral reef and it is beautiful. Made lots of dives there, the diving school is super professional and kind!

Very nice hotel! The luxurious architectural ensemble, built from natural coral stones, carved by hand in the nearby rocks, is undoubtedly a true architectural achievement. All hotel rooms, restaurants, cafes, overlooking the sea. A very long beach with a length of 1600 m, a varied underwater world. The entrance is sandy, but there are stones, corals - it is advisable to have aquashuuses. On the territory there is an artificial lagoon - a marina, at night it is very beautifully illuminated and you can see fish. There is good free WiFi throughout the hotel and on the beach. I really liked the Infinity pool, it offers gorgeous views of the sea and an artificial lagoon for yachts, also every day near the pool animators conduct aqua aerobics, belly dancing, darts, next to a bar with delicious cocktails. juices, alcohol, very friendly bartender - Saad. One floor above - 6 Jacuzzi baths. The hotel has a good variety of food, several restaurants, a la carte restaurants, the Golden Booda night club. In the evenings, the hotel hosts interesting shows. The service is good, the staff is friendly, the only thing is, you have to constantly tip.

Huge territory, excellent staff, peaceful location for vacation!

I came here for club golden buddah. Beer costs 6 euros and a mixed drink 10. Then you get too little change back and if you address them, they speak poor English very badly. Furthermore, it is a nice club with great music, but I will never come back, Egyptian Mafia!

Recently changed ownership. Therefore, the old looks not modern and the new one has not yet been built. Here and with the help of pperforators and Bulgarians and Jamshites now something is actively being built in the building number one. Relation without tea here is quite adequate, with the exception of individual characters. In a la carte restaurants do not go sensible, there is worse food from the same products as in the main restaurant. Dive center in principle, the norms according to Egyptian standards, be prepared only for what you always want to cook. Sailing tours on a heavenly island are blocked by a red flag. But the home reef is just a bomb. And be prepared to walk like legs, as all the numbers stretched out on the rise and lobbies and cower in the right side. On the whole, here is OK. Here only one feels certain non-matching of powerful stone buildings with a fairly average food and as usual not tasty as alco and not alko drinks.

In Hurghada for the first time and the first time in a high-level hotel.
Now (March 2019) some work is still being done, but this did not stop my rest with my beloved !!! Ethel and for a relaxing and detached holiday. Its own lagoon for yachts and small for swimming. For those who want to hang out there is a club where DJs are invited.
While there is no water park, but they promise ....
POWER is diverse, suitable for everyone! Alcohol did not try, but I think that a good inexpensive .....)))

Very good hotel. Very impressive. Like a fortress. Good food very clean. Friendly staff. Slightly long to get to the food. There are shuttle buses. Annoying is the construction noise at the time. Also on the weekend unfortunately. But after our Nile cruise we will stay for a few more days in the hotel.
