An affordable stop during our travels through Chicago. Jackie was more than accommodating. I booked through snaptravel and my only complaint is that I wasn't warned of the incident fee which ended up being 100 dollars. This does get returned to you but it could take a week. Besides this, which isn't the hotel's fault, the rooms were larger than expected, clean, and it was so nice to take a bath in their deep soak tubs.

This place actually very dirty there was dry blood on covers, dirt any where I asked them to change it they did but for me i don't trust this place , the shampoo container was empty, there was no tissue, I don't know how they clean and do all the stuff before other residence they should be clean more, other thing there was no parking available, (the place is free parking) so I had to park in the street the front disk told me you can park any where there is a lot in behind the hotel in street behind , other thing the lights not working all , so for me I don't like it at all and I don't recomend it for any one

Nice hotel over looking Lakeshore Dr., be aware of the fact the hotel rooms will smell of sewer gas. Some are stronger than others. Most of the hotels in the city are dealing with the same issue as it s a city problem.

The room was clean and comfortable with a large bathtub. The free parking lot was full but we found free street parking right next to the hotel. Walking distance to the convention center. No complaints. Overall great value for the price.

I have been to Chicago many times and stayed in many hotels, but this by far was the cleanest and most friendly establishment by far. The staff is excellent and always ready to aide out of towners experience the best of the city. I will recommend this hotel to anyone, it far exceeded every expectation.

Everon here is friendly. The room was mediocre at best. We could not get the TV to work. Our door lock worked intermittently at best (even though we reported the problem several times. The toilet is broken and was glued. The bathroom mirror has a drywall screw holding it up. This is functional but it just looks very low class. We were not given enough towels for each person (I came with my two kids and had a total of two towels for all three of us. The front desk gave us more but this was written down as if they were keeping track to make sure we would no steal them.

we did get free parking and a room for less than $150 per night. I guess you cannot have it all.

A great value compared to the other hotels in the area. This was our first time at a Hampton Inn. We will be staying here again. The room was clean and the beds very comfortable. The pool was a cool but swimmable for being winter

Pros:

Pros:
Lots of rooms, so good chance of vacancy.
Only 4 miles from Navy Pier, so pretty close to most popular tourist attractions.
Awesome looking front lobby, so impressive first impression
Rooms are spacious and comfortable.
Fairly economical in terms of pricing
Cons:
No restaurants nearby and the hotel did not have one. Only a breakfast cafe that runs from 07:30-13:00. So no good for options for dinner unless you use Door Dash or similar.
No microwave in the room! Only 2 microwaves in the Business Centre for general use by all guests, so during busy periods, you end up with a long line of people trying to get their food, milk for the kids etc. That's a complete turn down for me having to go all the way down to the Business Centre everytime. With no in house eating option, food needs to be ordered from outside, meaning more need to heat food, leftovers etc. Plus for families with small kids, a microwave is very important to heat milk for the kids.
The trash cans in the rooms are tiny ... I mean really tiny. It's ok if they are needed only for coffee machine waste etc., however, with the dependence on outside food for dinner, the trash can is not large enough for all the waste generated in terms of to go boxes, Pizza boxes, empty water bottles etc.
The elevators are super slow. In spite of only having 5 floors, you could wait up to 4 minutes for an elevator!
Parking is difficult during busy times and the parking spots are really compact!

The staff was very kind and helpful. Check-in and out were effortless. The room was spacious, but very dusty with dim lighting. The beds were made daily and the floor vacuumed, but the tub wasn't cleaned and the same floor towel was left in the room from day to day. The tub was also very deep with no rails to help you get in and out.

This hotel had nice staff but for the duration of my stay, the hotel cafe was closed. Very disappointing as nothing near by for breakfast. The lobby of the hotel is probably the best feature of the hotel. Touchups are needed for rooms and the hallways smelled of smoke.

The Chicago South Loop Hotel was a perfect stay for our group. We were greeted by the friendly and experienced Ms. Jackie at the front desk who checked us in and told us about the many amenities that the hotel had. She was the best. Pool, breakfast cafe, work out room, and large public seating areas in the lobby. The rooms were large and spacious with great light and a large desk/work area, Comfortable beds with really nice pillows. The area was quite and our stay was relaxing.

I travel a lot for business and normally don't stay in hotels that are not affiliated with one of the major brands. I was a little hesitant to stay at this property but they provided excellent customer service. It was in a great location, the rooms were large for the price and the staff was friendly.

They did an excellent job hosting our family reunion!

immaculately clean, but by no means a "lux" experience, just very clean nice and newish fixtures in the rooms.
the staff was very nice and accommodating, they held my bags and allowed me to leave my cat in their lot while wrapping up the last day of a trade show.
bottom line: I would recommend it to a friend and would stay here myself in the future

The moment I walked into my room in smelled like mold. I wasn't in the room 5 minutes before I started to get a really bad headache. The front desk did not seem to care one way or the other.

Good service from front desk staff. Free parking was very nice. I did not get a chance to check out amenities such as the fitness center or cafe, but noticed that they had a 24hr business center, which is a nice touch considering it is a small hotel. Rooms are clean, and the beds (which they mention have been recently updated with new mattresses) were incredibly comfortable. The bathtub was massive, allowing for a very comforting soak. The selection of toiletries provided was decent (they had soap, shampoo and moisturizer but no toothpaste or bubble bath) and the towels and linens were clean and dry. I wish there was room service available, but these are all small things, and honestly for the price, it is good value. You get what you pay for, and rest comfortably.

First i'll start with the staff: Everyone is incredibly friendly and helpful. They always go the extra mile to make your stay the best it possibly can.

Room: The queen size beds are so comfortable! I woke up feeling refreshed even after a long night of working. The room was spotless and the bathtub was HUGE!

Next time i'm in the south loop area i wont ever think about staying anywhere else but CSL Hotel.

I'm glad that we found this hidden gem. My boyfriend and I stayed here for a weekend a few months back. There is free parking (with surveillance) which was a huge plus, most places that are this near by everything charge so much to park. When we arrived, we were sent to the wrong room where someone's stuff still was but the front desk quickly relocated us without problem. Everything was nice and clean and surprisingly quiet.

Really enjoyed this room. It was the cleanest I ve ever stayed in and they have the best pillow. The only reason I didn t give it 5 stars was because it didn t include a microwave and I had children with me. Other then that we really enjoyed the room !!

Wanted a hotel close to downtown but still be affordable and this worked perfectly. Nice, spacious, clean room; very comfy bed; nice large shower. We would definitely stay again if ever in town

Definitely the best bang for your buck you'll find anywhere near downtown Chicago. Building is a bit old and it shows in places, but is still completely adequate. Free parking on premesis is great. Front staff was very welcoming. I would go back.

We booked 12 rooms over the weekend for an Art Show this past weekend and had way to many issues between them trying to jack the rate up to make a little extra last second and double charging our cards. The management is not professional what so ever. * The ladies working the front desk were very nice tho. We will not be returning here.

1st day room didn't get clean, had to call down for towels and coffee and for someone to empty the trash! Next day I called while I was out to make sure my room was going to be cleaned that day. Still not really cleaned to my liking. Don't let the free parking and wi-fi suck you in to staying there!!! Will not stay there again.

Clean, welcoming, and friendly.

It s a cheap place to stay. Facility looks nicer in their pictures than it really is. It s not maintained very well and looks old. And most importantly, staff was very sassy and rude for no reason. I will never stay here ever again.

Staying for a Chicago vacation and the hotel is delightful. Free parking and wifi, close access to the highway for quick access to your desired destinations, quiet atmosphere (distant rumble of trains and cars but nothing that was bothersome), and a cafe where breakfast can be made fresh for you. Would definitely stay again.

My boyfriend and I stayed here about a year ago. Hotel room wasn't clean; it was as if they clean once a week. We found a rotten banana in the mini fridge. The headboard of our bed had handprints on it and was very dusty. In fact, most things were dusty in the room like the lamps. We decided not to use the shower that night because of how dirty everything was; we became distrusting of the bathroom being sanitary. Housekeeping was rude. She kept knocking on our door after we had sent her away the first time.
One thing that really scared me was when I was walking around outside of my hotel room and noticed there were handprints on every hotel room's door. It put scary thoughts into my head. I did not want to leave my room without my boyfriend after seeing this. And I recently read on another review that this hotel does not have security cameras in the halls of the hotel outside of the rooms.
So who knows what was going on..
I give 2 stars because we didn't have an absolutely terrible time.
In summary, I just hate how the hotel isn't very sanitary and clean and the housekeeper was rude. I did not feel safe there as well.

I enjoyed my stay, everything was clean and tidy. The only thing to be aware of is where you plug your phone charger. I connected my to the nightstand lamp which blew a fuse and the entire room except for the restroom was without power. Not a big deal, maintenance came and reconnected from the hallway. Minor inconvenience for an otherwise decent getaway. Oh and I by far enjoyed the Bar downstairs the best!!! Make sure to stop in.

It is very good but not great. Clean, mostly updated with good exercise room, business room, great staff, reasonable rates and a bus stop right across the street. No pool but just barely missing the 5 star rating.

Great location with beautiful decore. Secure and well lit parking lot. Warm and pleasant customer service. 24 hour security ensuring patrons adhered to Covid-19 precautions and wore masks. Made me feel more confident about booking this place for my family.

My boyfriend and I decided to take a trip down to Canton to celebrate my birthday and from the moment we checked in with Kim at the front desk I knew that my stay was going to be spectacular. Kim was the front desk agent the whole night I was there and with every request we had she went out...

Got great deal on Groupon. This hotel is awesome. New rooms, or at least the one I had. Why would you go stay downtown for way more when you can take a cab or Lyft for 10$ from this one.

We've stayed here several times. It's quickly becoming our place of choice when in Chicago. The hotel is nice in a comfortable sort of
way. The location is ideal for us. The rooms are larger than a lot of Chicago hotel rooms, and off street parking is complimentary. If you're a social fan the stadium is less than 10 minutes walk. Chinatown is about the same distance McCormick Place.

This hotel is not an upscale type of place but it's comfortable, I been there quite a few times for business and always been pleased just don't expect a pool or breakfast other then that if your coming just for business this is the place but family fun NOT!

I would give it a 3.5 stars. Staff supper friendly. Nice rooms.
