Quite busy despite limited capacity and queue times are long. 2 hours at one point for Tomb Blaster. Staff very friendly though.

Chessington may be old, but it's been kept well. There are rides here for all ages and enough entertainment to last an entire day. It may not be as big as Alton Towers, but it packs a lot into a small space and boasts a zoo and sea life centre too!
Overall very impressed although I would recommend finding 2-4-1 tickets as it can get expensive for a family.

My first time visiting chessington and it was a total blast first mini holiday with my two year old who enjoyed the animal escapades and smaller rides that she could enjoy.
If you stay in the hotel you get to enjoy several rides an hour before opening time.
There is also side attractions to feed the animals or go on a mini safari which unfortunately my daughter was to short to enjoy.

Almost all rides open wait times about 5-15 mins, rides cleaned every hour

Perfect for little adventures. My nearly 8 year old was tall enough for all rides apart from 2. We visit Alton Towers a lot but for me this is far better. All rides are close together so not too much walking, rides were brilliant. Especially The Vampire. We had a fab time.

Brilliant rides for a toddler, nice hotel themed extremely well, good fun all round. Couple of minor improvements would make it perfect:

- All the food stalls are closed in off peak season, only main restaurants available
- Need a simple pizza stall or such just to grab a slice, not an entire all you can eat buffet!
- Some food places on park are bad quality and overpriced. Vampire burger kitchen is McDonalds but pretty gross chicken and more expensive. Nicely themed though! Suspect the other places are much the same. Avoid! The sandwich/coffee shops are a much better bet!
- Safari restaurant was very nice though for breakfast, dinner. If a little pricey.
- Need better signposts for hotel to theme park and back! It's not as obvious as you would expect!

We went to Chessington as a group of 5 in the school holidays. We had a great day and managed to get on all the rides we wanted to. The park itself is great with a variety of different rides for all ages, and the sealife area and zoo are really nice. The only downsides were that it felt like we were going round in circles, the layout of the park isn't particularly clear or maybe it was just us! It was impossible to get refills on our drinks, every time we went into a restaurant they said they didn't do them yet when we asked a member of staff walking around they said to go into said food place?!! The biggest problem was leaving the venue. When you arrive there are a swarm of hi-vis jackets guiding you in to ensure you park in the right place. When it comes to leaving it is a free for all, not a hi-vis in sight. It took an hour to get out and we were in the first car park right near the entrance!! This was extremely frustrating as after a fun filled day everyone is tired and just wants to get home. That said, as I mentioned, we had a great day over all and it's a great place to take kids of all ages.

So the theme park is great, but don't stay in the hotel. We're had so many issues and no one cared. They had a fire alarm go off and the staff didn't know what they were doing resulted in us going back into the building when it wasn't safe to do so! Completely clueless. Issues in room, issue with being served dinner. Worse hotel stay ever. I tried to complain at time, they didn't care. Wrote to head office and they still didn't care. Never heard from them.

Day was raining and cold. The rides ended up with long queues. 2 stars because we were with friends and thus the company was fun, otherwise it was a cold, rainy day with quite a few rides that had bee n shutdown. Chessington decided that the day wasn't a rainy day although it rained hard for at leat a few hours in the morning and the n light showers for the rest of the day.

Really nice staff and good day out. Wouldn't buy a day ticket but with a Merlin pass, always a great place to chill.

This place is total scam. The entrance tickets (not cheap by any means) basically give you the opportunity to enter. Then in order to get on any worthwhile ride you need fast track pass. What a genuine business plan: sell as many tickets as possible to create 90 minutes queues and then sell fast tracks entries. Toilets are dirty and smelly. The place is full of shops selling merchandise and awful fast food, but low on actual rides. This is by far the worst adventure park I have visited. Beware.

Awesome fun. Fast pass is a con though, u still end up queuing for half an hour for vampire

Had a great day on a large trip. Some attendants took a while to acknowledge customers at the disabled access and some cues for food were very long (which couldnt be helped) but a great day and brilliant park

Biggest room on a contractors pay I have ever been I. Double, bed table and three chairs, bunk beds and spacious to boot. Great breakfast food wasgood but bettered by the site of the animals coming out to play in the distance.

This was awesome. Did 2 days plus clamping and loved it. The first day rained loads so the queues were really short! Got on Tiger Rock 10 times, Tomb Raider 3 times, Vampire, Dragon Fury and Kobra all once each. Then between 6 and 8 we went back into the park and went on Kobra 5 more times, spent 30 mins on the dodgems and the kids enjoyed playing in the Temple of Mayhem.

Great theme park for the family. Rides, zoo and sea life centre all in one. What more could you want!? I particularly appreciated the tiger bridges where you can really get a good close up look. Tigers always being a favourite. So much fun for all ages. Lots to do to fill a day or 2. The gruffulo grove show surprised me, it wasn't what in had in mind. I thought it was pretty naf and the dancers were out of sync. However! My daughter (3) thought it was great and it is aimed at little ones so there you go!

Sign posting for blue badge holders needs to be a lot clearer.
As with all of these attractions food and drink is way over priced especially when the food was not very good or much of it.

The family had a good time apart from this.

Another thing is the shops I felt it was the same stuff you get everywhere at the same silly prices.

as a whole, this resort i would fairly say is very tired.
at least 50% of the stalls and food establishments are closed and the decore is crumbling and ramshackle
Room on the brook and gruffalo are stand out but the rest is poor - the food places that were open are foul and expensive - take a picnic

Rides amazing. Didn't try any resturant. Toilets were a mess. Not sure if they are checked regularly. Found a nice one by dragons fury.

Chessington world of awful queues and poorly managed rides. I think fast track has spoilt it for the majority now. Pretty poor guys.

Excellent theme park for kids and some rides are scary enough even for adults. Gets busy on a good day. Park layout is slightly confusing and the map makes it more confusing. Enough car parking space. Although there is a really long wait for the thrilling rides

Great for little ones but best to visit off peak to avoid queues. They could improve queues by sorting out the next set of people to get on the rides instead having one person operate the ride and waiting for people to get off before letting anyone else on. They do this at other parks including Alton towers. Some of the rides need modernising and some of the staff clearly don't want to be there which doesn't come across so much at alton towers. Although a young lady called Laura quickly dealt with some feral kids that were too big for the bouncy castle in the soft play (which needs some lighting BTW). Well done Laura!

Hotel was mixed experience with not getting our wristbands to enter the park early or car park ticket to exit park. Also witnessed a family who travelled all the way from canada to see the gruffalo but missed their first night in hotel because of travel problems and were told they would still be charged for the Gruffalo room but weren't allowed to check in until 3pm which is disgusting. The cancellation waiver is a waste of money as it states you need to give 48 hours notice.

We initially booked the temple restaurant but this got switched to zafari restaurant but the food was better than I expected and overall hotel is very good. Savanna splash is great for toddlers but make sure you book a slot before heading to the park. They keep the numbers low which is great!

One other noticeable thing there is no management visible in the park and perhaps they should get on the frontline and interact with guests.

On the two occasions we've been in last 6 months they never open the park at 9am.

Kids wanted to stay another night so it's a 4 star

We didn't let the rain take our joy away and the staff at Chessington did a great job today. The queues weren't too bad either and the children had a great time

Great place for the kids but be prepared to spend spend spend unless you take your own food.

I love that there are rides and animals so something for nearly everyone. The food is a bit expensive so I always bring my own.
Mu mum loves the Zufari ride so we go on it every time but the queue is always big during school holidays and weekends so we bought fast track tickets so we skip most of the queue.

Visited on a bank holiday and only got on 3 main rides. Far too busy and very expensive. Best to go on a school day.

Just home from doing 2 days here. Been many times before. Our son has Down Syndrome so we used the SN fastrack system which we could not do without. Some of the rides were up to 2hrs queue which is rediculous and would absolutely not work for us. 1 little thing I found not worth booking in advance was the drinks re fill. To get the smaller red drinks bottle was like a mystery game in itself as none of the stands either did them or wouldn't take my pre paid tickets! So 2 days worth for 3 people wasted. Plus if you had the regular container it's really long and a pain to carry around or go on rides with. Other than that... my feet hurt and I need a rest! :)

Very good for younger children, not so much for a 15 year old. Busy day in August even though the weather was unsettled and large queues for the bigger rides of over an hour at a time. Can imagine it would be busier on a nicer day. There is More

A great theme park, long queues for the big rides (as you would expect), food is expensive (as you would expect) but still an enjoyable day.
My only real issue is with the car park. I don't mind parking on a grassed area but can they not lay a decent tarmac road to get there? Also the pay for your parking as you leave system doesn't really work well & causes unnecessary queues, surely there could be a better system?

All in all though, it's a good day out.

Chessington is a wonderful place for family's weather your enjoying the variety of rides and attractions or looking at the animals in the zoo.
There are lots of things to see and do, there are rides for tiny tots and for your adventures teen and everything in between. A highlight of the animals on show are the beautiful tigers, they have a large enclosure and cat walks over the walk ways.

I took my 2 boys and they had a wonderful time went on lots but not all the things.



Food is good at all restaurants chicken shack was the best and the best value basically kfc and there is a burger ans pizza place, my advice is that you make a picnic there are lockers for 2 pounds and push chairs to hire at 10 pounds.

Overall a great day out !

We loved attending the Services Day 2020, even the weather held off for us, all the staff were friendly and helpful and we can't wait to bring the kids back

The waiting lines are way too long. Expensive fast track. 40 min line to get fast track tickets. Won't recommend with kids below 5

Chessington is a great place the prices are a bit steep when you get a yearly pass you pay a fair bit as most of the year the pass ain't being used as the park is closed so its not really a yearly pass your paying for other wise it's great fun some of the food places ain't great like Burger King but other wise the food is also good

Great place to take the kids. Avoid the holiday Inn south Kensington.

Be prepared to be either stiffed for the "Fast pass" or be resentful of those that do. Queues of 2 hours are caused by always filling from the fast pass queue first...

Rides are so much fun good place to take the family and I will be sure to come back

Its a little expensive to get in if paying on the door , but annual pass is great value !!

Great day but bloody awful to exit, an hour sat in my car trying to leave carpark!

Queing for the best rides was a bit tooooo long for close 5 rides 1&1/2 hours queing to get on one. plus rammed with too many people. For you to get any value for the day .if you want to go to this place go when the kids are at school

Took the family for a day out but wasn't very pleased by it. Having to walk about for what seemed all day to look for the rides so gave up looking so we went to look at the animals. Highlight of the animals was the sea lion show which was great. But the rest of the day was between poor and average

Always have a great day out at Chessington, rides and zoo!! I have a blue light card so get nhs discount which is always appreciated!

Went to the 'Vegan street dogs' restaurant asked for a hotdogs and I was served pork. Absolutely disgusting, even the actual vegan option was gross.

Kids love it get a parent pass if you have young kids it's like a free fast track ticket so the other parent can go on straight away

Queues weren't too big. Good selection of rides and some suitable for a two year old. Park in fields, got stuck in the mud but they pulled us out quite quickly with a tractor. Will definitely be going again.

Have to say that I enjoyed Chessington. The kids loved it too. Would recommend forking out on one of the express passes if you are visiting on a busy day.

Great selection of attractions and rides, spotlessly clean, friendly staff. Usual deal with prices for food and drinks at this type of place although not extortionate. The children had an absolute ball. High recommend the Glamping package; brilliant!

Visited Chessington for the 2nd time in 3 weeks finally got to go on Zufari which was excellent, very glad to see they have reopened the log flume with the added bonus of Tigers. Great day had by all of us

We had a lovely time at Chessington for our first family trip away! So much to do! Loved it!

OK. I'd say if you love animals, its worth going. If you are not that bothered there are relatively few rides that are for older kids. Queues were ok for October roughly an hour for the popular ones. I abhor fast pass it makes things worse and is profiteering nonsense! Stop it!!

Absolutely love this place!! I have been going there since I was a child with my dad and now I have children of my own we go at least twice a year and they love it to, we stay in the azteca hotel and do 2 day theme park and we never get fed up with coming here, my children never want to leave

Good rides, queues enormous and not helped by fast track customers holding back the queue and pushing in front. Made all feel like second class citizens even when paying hundreds of pounds for the family to get in. Felt like a money making machine to squeeze every last drop of cash out of all who entered.

I attended with my 2 brothers who both fall on the autistic spectrum. The staff are well trained and the facilities are great. There's something for everyone and I'd recommend to people with differently able children. It's also great for people who aren't sure how they would fare on a roller coaster as their first ever amusement park. Some great memories have been made here.

Disabled and wheelchair friendly place for Children and Adults. Great family day out. It's worthwhile and worth purchasing Hotel and next-day entrance deal.

Perfect for 8 to 12 year olds, some fun exciting rides without being too scary for them. Oh my lord the queues.... I went at peak time and wasn't able to get a fastpass but I definitely will next time, waited 90 minutes for Kobra. It's quite small so easy to run about.

Seemed well spread out and even though there were lots of people you never felt crowded. As usual for a theme park the ques for rides were long.

Good entertainment, need to be a minimum height, but most rides are available for the younger ones

Very good for controlling social distancing, temperature checks upon entrance, rides are deep cleaned every hour and sanitizer everywhere. Well worth going even in these times

We visited today for the first time. The experience would have been awful without the fast passes, despite being in the park 30
Mins before it opened, it still took until 10.45 to get on our first ride as The Vampire broke down while we were in the queue. We queued over 2 hours for Kobra, and then bought 2 fast passes. It was so busy that I can t believe it was only 60% capacity. The zoo was disappointing, very little to see. We won t return!

Used the mum and under 5 ticket to have an amazing day on a school inset day. Nice and quiet and a chance for my son to experience rides for the 1st time.

Horrendous. Do not waste your money. Queues are ridiculous and you will probably only go on 4 to 5 rides all day because of the queues.

Good place to visit if you have kids however I would recommend buying a fast track queue jump pass as otherwise you will be queueing quite literally for hours.

Brilliant place, loads to do for all ages, not the best during terrencial downpours! But still enough to do that's under cover to not be a waste of time

Excellently well run resort and hotel. My kids loved their time here. Queues were short even in the height of the day it was quiet. Staff are helful friendly and ensure they answer your questions.

I loved it! The rides were incredible and there were different kinds for every person! The slow for the young and light-hearted and the intense and fast for the brave! Just great! The only con is that the queues were really long and we began to become quite bored. Nevertheless, the rides always redeemed it.

The rides are fun and all but the wait for the rides are kinda annoying and also the the price for food is high but other than that it is a great day out. I would recommend that you pay online as it is much cheaper

Excellent time, this is designed for younger children, so better to visit than the nearby Thorpe park, which I feel carers more for teenagers and above.
Go for the zafari and tiger rock. Younger children will also enjoy the jungle bus and tower of mayhem.

Unfortunately Chessington is starting to look a little tired and need of a good clean and spruce up. There were many rides that were breaking down or just not working today which I felt was not good given the price we paid. The app was unreliable for advising on queue times, was saying 5 minutes for rides when in reality it was closer to between 30 and 40 minutes. Hopefully today's experience was just a one off and not the norm, although I doubt I will go back to see if it was.
