Took my husband for a stress free three days . We loved the inn it was beautiful and clean . Room was large and comfortable . My husband had an amazing massage he still is talking about after three days . The wing flight was wonderful although we started with the moscato and never left so we should have just bought 2 bottles and drank it , would have been cheaper but if you want to try different wines that s the way to go. It was our first time here and we were celebrating my husband birthday so it was nice to do something out of our norm. The hotel and staff are 5 stars although due to the covid everything was not open. We did ride the bike .. first time on a bike in 30 yrs . We enjoyed or quick get away thank you for a wonderful experience .

I usually don t leave any review but very surprised to see that the hotel charged $16 for self-parking and $40 for resort fee.
Shouldn t these fees already included in?
No Complimentary water provided for guests was shocking too.
Beautiful scenery and vineyards.
May recommend for wine tasting but may not recommend for stay.

Having been going to this place for years, we can say that some of the renovations are nice. We appreciated the expanded seating and new bar at the Versailles. The food and drink at Louis was amazing. We couldn't get a seat at the bar or a reservation at the Marc, but having read the reviews, we don't think we missed much. We ordered food to go a couple of times but got no utensils. Saturday mornings wait for food at the Versailles was ridiculous. Since reopening in June, they've only hired back 2/3 of their staff and it shows. I'm disabled and as we left, no one helped my wife load our car.

We ended up cancelling our 3 night stay due to the terrible customer service we received. After trying to book wine tours and spa appointments online, through email and via phone we were unable to get assistance. The staff was unfriendly and unhelpful so we decided not to take the chance of wasting our money to be treated the same way once we arrived. Very unfortunate as we really had looked forward to our stay.

It was my first time there but definitely won't be the last. It actually snowed and that made it even more enjoyable. The staff was very courteous and friendly. The wine tasting was absolutely amazing and the whole atmosphere was very pleasant!! The bed was very comfortable as well!!!

The Inn Atrium was beautiful, Versailles restaurant and bar also looked great. Food was okay, nothing special other than a fun pumpkin themed dessert. Room was just okay, first room AC didn't work, second room had a stain on the carpet. Paddy's pub was nice for a beer but almost all the food was deep fried. I tried the fish and chips and it was doughy and greasy. Considering how pricey everything was, it was nice to visit once, but won't be coming back.

Overall, our stay was disappointing. When I checked in the guy was friendly and told me the basic info. I guess you have to ask about the pool, and directions to amenities. We only stayed one day just to get a feel of the place but we went out for dinner off site. Our stay included breakfast but little did we know breakfast has a wait list and there are other places you can go. No one tells you how breakfast actually works except you will be billed for weird charges after you leave that you did not know about. I called the billing department extension multiple times left emails and text messages and no response since June! The next morning while I was in the BR with the door cracked some one came in our room and ran back out. Weird. Pros: The place is great for couples, the staff is friendly and helpful giving the climate we are in. The property is quite and beautiful.Lastly, I would say watch out for unknown charges before you leave!

I truly enjoyed my stay at Chateau Elan. It was our first time visiting. The ambience was amazing, views breathtaking, winery a blast but the food was just okay. I think I was most underwhelmed by the expensive food. The price and taste didn't match. The waitress we had I think her name was Jessica was amazing at Versailles as well as Stanley who did our tour. I will try to visit again and hope the food is much better.

My wife decided to book a "staycation" for my birthday at Chateau Elan, with several other couples. First, we had a great spa experience. We enjoyed champagne while waiting for our couples massage. Our therapists, Carrie and Towanda were very skilled. One of the best massages I've ever had. We then got pedicures. Our nail techs Janice and Kim were very pleasant and accommodating. Overall the spa experience was fantastic. We were given more champagne at check-in. The property has elaborate renovations. The atrium, the rooms, the restaurants are all top notch! We went to the bar at Versailles and shared the lobster mac and cheese before dinner at Marc's Steakhouse. Food at every restaurant was really good. After dinner we had cocktails and played pool at Louis House of Bourbon. Great vibe there and the old fashions there were made with detail. We did a private wine tour called the Chateau Grandeur Tour with 5 other couples. Our host Stanley was very informative and the experience was memorable. The wine was great and the tour was an amazing experience, overall. Great property, great service, great food, great experience. 5 stars!

While everything is pleasant, navigating the grounds and facilities isn't particularly intuitive. The map of the area around the inn and winery only helps a little bit. The 'nature trail' really consists of the backside of the conference center, an overlook of parking lots, and a stretch running alongside the main road outside the Chateau. It's easy to get turned around and end up in the private neighborhood on the grounds.

Also the 21-and-up restriction on the bar and pool hall was blatantly ignored, which made the pool tables a little difficult to get hold of.

Enjoyable dining and friendly staff. Comfortable room accommodations. Worth visiting if you come for an activity like wine tasting, golf, or equestrian events. Not ideal for simple aimless wandering and solitude.

The rooms are great but during this time of COVID.... Half the restaurants are open with limited capacity which was not stated at the time of booking. So we arrived to check in, wait 45 min on a cold turkey sandwich for lunch. The staff told our group that rooms were being booked but restaurants were not fully staffed (1 chef for 3 eateries/restaurants). We had a wine tasting which was decent, drinks after had a decent wait for not too many people there. And dinner at Louis, there was a line out the door we were told there was a 25 person max, with a 7 option menu for dinner/apps.
All in all we were pretty disappointed for our first trip but would be interested in coming back for a another visit during "normal" times. My advice to the owner/mangers would be to either cut down on available rooms or increase staffing to accommodate the guests.

This place is beautiful. Its very clean and very well kept. Stayed four days and three nights. The restaurant we ate dinner was excellent. The food was great and also the waitresses. The manager came to check on us. We're planning our next trip here again in the winter. Rooms are clean. This is definitely a beautiful place. The wines are great.

I enjoy my time here the wine was much better than expected. Drawback being what you get for the price. We went on a weekday special and got a $200 resort credit and it still seemed a little pricy for the experience. The grounds are beautiful and it's proximity to Atlanta is shocking. You are instantly transported to a world much further upon entering. What they can improve on is adding some little things as complimentary. Sips of wine while on the tour, chocolate to pair with the wine. Something that you don't feel like you are being charged for every little experience. The price tag for the nightly stay is enough for an all inclusive experience! I must give warning to my wine lovers, when I say the wines were better than expected that's because I expected very little. The wines are enjoyable and not embarrassing but not worth a 6 State road trip to experience.

This review is mainly about the INN/Hotel at Chateau Elan. The winery was good with a nice selection of wines to choose from. As for the hotel, well I wouldn't stay here again. Let me explain, basically the hotel rooms were large but there were some things they've could have done better. For example the TV system is still using that old 'On Demand' set up, so no Netflix or Hulu access on the big screen. Also they have the old iPod clock radio as the alarm clock. Who still uses those since iPods are no longer available? Also there weren't any bathrobes in the hotel room as well. Now for the Versailles restaurant, I would recommend going to Paddy's Irish Pub instead. You can tell that the food isn't as fresh and has that frozen taste to it and for the price its not worth it. The food at the Irish pub will be a heckuva a-lot better and a-lot cheaper. As for the pool bar and restaurant, well the drinks were overpriced and poorly made and the food options were limited and presentation looked like they came out of a vending machine. I decided to stay here for a get away weekend, and from now on I'll just go up for the wine tastings and then drive back home!

The grounds are stunning upon entry. Beautiful rooms. Super friendly staff, the winery has some amazing wines and very knowledgeable staff. The only downfall is the Marc Restaurant. The food at the Marc was really very good, a tad salty, but the wait is ridiculous, especially when there is no one seated at several tables. Their reservation system for tables needs to be looked into. Overall exceptional experience.

This place has some nice scenery. I'd recommend coming during the week and leaving on a Friday. The weekend is when lots more people come and vibe isn't as cozy. It's not the most expensive, but it's also not cheap. There's a restaurant in the inn that sells 2-star food for 5-star prices. Above this restaurant, but not connected to it is a sports bar. What Iiked most about the sports bar is the comfortable seating. Pool area is nice, has lots of seating also fire pits.

The chateau has gorgeous grounds and views. Unfortunately it seems to have had trouble adjusting to COVID. While signage and spacing is adequate there is little to no staff. Given the $42 resort fee and $16 parking fee as well as 2% charge for using credit card- No help with luggage or bags. No valet. It is very difficult to eat or drink. Consistently told you need reservations to eat at the restaurants and that they re full - however talk to another staff member and suddenly we can be accommodated right away- this happened multiple times during our stay. Very frustrating. Staff is il informed about everything , it seems everyone just started and doesn t know what they are doing (except for beppsey the director of the wine area and restaurant Marc who was able to sort out some thing and help us get some food!). Not much to do once you ve tried the wine.. the pool is absolutely packed no seating. Gym is closed due to COVID. Theme park prices without the experience or service. Overall expensive and disappointing. It could be such a decadent stay- chateau just hasnt Risen to the occasion. Would not recommend until they can improve the customer experience.

Beautiful grounds, rooms, architecture, decor, and aesthetic. But positively boring with very few activities. Every tour was already full and even though they provide bikes, there are no trails other than for walking. It is a great walking trail, though. Many of the restaurants are chain or franchise related and prefer to support family owned businesses.

The resort stay was probably great, but the all day barking dog that was snuck on the non pet floor wasn't. They also had pipes in the walls of my room that rattled every 1 to 7 minutes day and night. Had to go home to get some rest! Why did I come here?

This was our first visit and I had high expectations. Also, I m an easy going, no fuss kind of person so with that said, it was hard for me to leave a not-so-good review.
I ll start with the good experiences... the front desk was nice, the first room was clean, (had to move bc there were spring breakers partying it up in the adjoining room) the golf course was well maintained, and the massage by Patti was AMAZING (I had a deep tissue and she gave the BEST massage EVER)
The negative s: room service is overpriced for the quality ($80 for cold powdered eggs and bacon), our experience with our first meal at Versailles was terrible. They were running on a skeleton crew and our server was so in the weeds that he forgot about us several times. Food was subpar, at best. Also our server didn t understand what we were saying or have a good understanding of the menu (being that I managed a restaurant for years, I try to be as low maintenance and forgiving as possible, but this was bad. ( I have an allergy so it s important that I know what ingredients are in my food).
The pool was nice but they only had one waiter for at least 50 people. He was exhausted and over it. Simply annoyed when we asked for something. Get there early! First come first serve pool chairs. Drinks were pretty good though.
On the positive, everyone at the pool was great about social distancing-very respectful of space. It was clean too-which is a big deal for me. Again, I wanted to leave a better review but when you spend $1000.00 for one night stay you expect higher quality and service.

Very clean. SanitIzer was everywhere. Pool is very big and nice. My family and I had a great time. I have to say the highlight was the afternoon tea. Our waitress was super sweet and the tea was outstanding along with the cute little finger foods. Would highly recommend! Very relaxing. Of course wine was outstanding. Rooms were very nice and sealed when we arrived. We felt very safe dispute the virus out there. Nice getaway

Tried ordering a gift certificate over the phone and was informed they do not mail gift certificates anymore due to covid and to order online. I tried ordering online on my phone and home computer and kept getting error messages. Called their customer service to ask if they could help me and was informed they couldn t order online for me either and that I could come to their store to get a gift certificate that is an hour and a half away. Figure it would be safer to mail than to go to their location due to Covid Needless to say I had to figure out another gift to get. Very disappointing

The good was the staff- nice and friendly. The bad was the rooms. This stay was to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We've come here before and have never been disappointed until now. The room first had toilet issues. It kept making noises every 5 to 10 minutes.

The technician came to repair it but was unsuccessful. He said that a work order had to be put in to fix it. We were offered another room. This room was worst. The garden tub had hair in it. There was dried blood on the the folded towel on the towel rack. Very disgusting!! We will most likely not return. Not sure what has happened to this place but very disappointing.

the rooms were very nice! the service at the restaurants was horrible. 45 min. to get wings?? they say they are under staffed...but, that's no excuse at a 5 star hotel....especially with the prices you pay to stay there. there were roaches, the size of a coaster, by the pool!! They were all over the pool area. the hot tub wasn't hot...the pool was actually warmer! unfortunately, don't think I will be going back!

The ambiance is serene; with the fire pit outside and the lush landscape. I m expecting a much better interior design. I was disappointed with the airy concrete room that resembled a banquet hall they just threw some furniture in at the very best. The resort itself is absolutely beautiful. But the wine itself is sub-par. The whites were all acidic; boasting stone fruit and grapefruit like the French Riviera and it doesn t even compare to Napa. I thought the red wines were well balanced. The Pinot Noir has nice rich tobacco notes, problem was that there was ZERO tobacco in the description of the wine. Definitely a great place for amateur wine tasting. Beautiful for a cheap date ($25 for the tasting). The bartenders were notably upset and in a bad mood from being overworked and underpaid

Chateau Elan is one of our secret jewels here in Atlanta! The service is always impeccable, the decor is always beautiful, and the food amazing in all the restaurants. Our husband especially enjoyed Paddy's Restaurant where they could watch sports while eating, and then the lounge to watch the SEC games and play pool while us girls enjoyed the winery. I am not sure of the DJ's name when we finally joined the guys, but he was AWESOME! I danced my heart into fullness as I celebrated my birthday! The rooms were also well done. We can't wait to come back again and again!

The renovations to The Inn are a welcome additio. Our dining experience at Marc s had amazing food as always. Our main concern, after traveling to other similar inns and wineries In NC during June 2020 was the lack of staff training in wearing appropriate CDC compliant masks. Most staff we encountered, especially at check in and the cafe, had masks worn below the nose and even at Marc s, a restaurant we love for their delicious food, the server wore his mask on his chin. This made us uncomfortable and lessened our experience more than we have had at other venues. Sanitizer stations are everywhere on the property, which a great convince, but no social distancing at the inside bar and the bar staff had masks worn at the chin later in the evening. The staff has not been instructed on how to properly wear a mask. If this is a concern for you, I would steer clear of this resort, at least for now.

What a nightmare. I booked a reservation a month in advanced and had a change of plans the next day. I tried for 3 weeks to contact someone to move my reservation date as it was not working online. They never responded to emails and when I called and left my information for a manager they also never responded. Using the automatic telephone system is also horrible. I pressed 8 100 times to reach a customer service rep just to get sent back to the main menu 98 of those times. Contacting the Tasting Room? Good luck. Their voicemail says to email them, which I did 3 times and never heard back. Too bad, the place looks nice. I will never go here and I will always tell people to look elsewhere.

Nappa valley meets southern charm.

There s not much to say, the winery and the hotel is spectacular. Great staff, great dining options on property and the wine tour is brilliant. Their cab is to die for, and paddy s has real authentic other side of the pond delicacy s.

My only grip is the hotel is a tad worn in areas, which detracts from the overall elegance; however, will not keep me from returning again in the future.

The property itself is very beautiful. The room was clean and comfortable. Everything is a little confusing for 1st timers. I wasn't a 100% sure where to go for the tickets I purchased for the tour and tasting. I asked around and got to where I needed to be. The tour is very short....I guess there's not too much to see. A good bit of information though that I never knew. The wine tasting.... I do believe that's going to be different for everyone but it really wasn't too tasty for me. But it's something to do. Paddys bar was nice. Food was good, the staff was pleasant and it was Friday so they had live entertainment. Pretty cool. I am not sure if there is a microwave anywhere else but I only found one in the coffee shop. Breakfast was good. I asked where you could eat breakfast on property. That's still the only thing I wished someone would explain everything the property has to offer so you're not bumbling around and hoping you're in the right lines etc.

We visited with a group of friends and had a great time. Upon walking in, it was a little confusing on where to go or how to order. The wine selection was great and the prices were very fair. The whole estate is beautiful and fun to explore. After wine sampling we decided to grab a few beers at the bar/restaurant. The bartender was a little rude and seemed overwhelmed with the number of people and her being the only one. Overall we had a great experience and will be back.

Just got back from the winery today. Everything was good. The food was better than I thought. However, we were unable to eat at The Marc. It was completely booked, so definitely plan ahead and make reservations. The restaurants close pretty early, and because of Covid they are only allowing a limited amount of people in certain areas. Also one of the bars/restaurant was closed, which made dinner choices even more limited. The pool atmosphere was everything I was hoping for. Our pool server Alexis was the best!

First time visiting Georgia & this just happened to top it all off! Me & my boyfriend love to discover new places so we looked up what was around & sure enough Chateau Elan popped up! We're from Chicago so we had no idea what we were pulling up to & honestly we were in awe! It was 4th of July weekend so they had flags lining the entire drive way until you see one of the buildings lite up with red, white & blue lights, so gorgeous. I have never seen a vineyard & I was so giddy to just see it out my window! Me & my boyfriend where wondering "what the hell did we book?!" Since it is also a resort we decided to just book a night & check everything out. I can not rave enough about how all the interior looked all the way up to our room! To make a long story short we ended up booking another night the next day! Need a getaway? Check out the atmosphere here & don't forget to grab a coffee at the shop on the way out!

Spent the afternoon and night here. We got the Elan Escape package for 1 night stay, dinner and breakfast for 2 at the Versailles restaurant onsite. The room/bed at The Inn was very clean and comfortable. The whole lot and building was very clean, modern and open.

The food was great. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It was our very first time and we loved it especially since we discovered our love for wine. My favorite part is definitely being able to walk around the yard and building with a glass of wine.

I recommend the tasting/tour, around $30 for an hour.
