Simply the best island in the Maldives and possibly one of the best resorts in the world. Perfect in every way for families.

A Maldivian island paradise. No doubt a paradise. It have 89 beach, ocean, and water villas. We tried the ocean villa which you can reach only bu boat. It was an exceptional experience. Jumeirah Vittaveli also have 1 Royal Residence was occupied at that time. 10 different restaurants to choose from during your stay. And I have to say, it was the best food I had compared to any other place in the world. The Maldivian food especially was outstanding. The Talise Spa experience was also very nice. We hade 10 hours package during our stay. We did not have kids with us but it had a biggest kids club in the whole Maldives. Everything their is kids friendly which we admired. Alot of activities to do and we never get bored but we wanted to extend our 4 days stay. We tried the Seabob, Jetski, and butterfly boat. And also went for private snorkeling trip latsed for 3 hours. Snorkeling is a must do in Maldives. The submarine is also very good for the kids and adults as well. Overall, it is an unforgettable experience.

Best resort ever visited . loved it . Food was soo awesome , mouthwatering and sumptuous. I would have given more starts but the option is only till 5 .

It s a must. Traveled the world multiple times over and over this is truly a must abit pricey but I believe what you pay is what you get out standing once again Jumeirah Vittaveli you are the best and we will come back very soon :)

Great hotel if you are looking for a luxury retreat in a hotel format. Large villa/suites with private pool. Good food, great service and a lot of fun. If you are hesitating between bed & breakfast or halfboard, I would suggest you opt for halfboard. There is a large selection of quality food at both breakfast and dinner: local dishes, organic, vegan, indian, japanese, mediterranean... you will not be disappointed. To get in shape and make good use of the calories there is well equipped gym on the water with an amazing view. You can see rays and with some luck even a shark swimming around from your Treadmill or Eleptical bike! The gym staff is very friendly and will help you get started.

Stayed here a couple years ago and hands down, this was definitely the most memorable hotel I ve stayed in amongst many other villas and hotel across the world. We still keep in touch with a couple of people from Jumeirah and they re incredibly lovely. The food was top-notch, view was amazing and definitely go for the trip to see the dolphins. Staying in Jumeirah was a real amazing experience and would love to come back for another trip in the near future.

I would like to thank all the staff in this beautiful resort for making our stay one of our best holidays. In particular, I would like to mention with appreciation the following staff members whom efforts made our stay more enjoyable: Fathullah and Diana from the reception; and Manoj, Nabeehu, Muba, and Amir, all at Samsara restaurant; and Mohammad Ishak at the Spa.

I would also like to make a special note of the great care of Mr. Majid (butler) who was always there whenever we needed anything during our whole stay. He was kind, prompt, caring, and impressed us with his very good manners.

Thank you all for this remarkable holiday experience which we are already sharing with our families back home.

It's been an amazing afternoon! Very friendly and professional staff picked us up at the airport and were walked up to this nice mini yacht! Received with live band and the beach villa is simply amazing!

Such an amazing experience for relax, dreams come true.

This is one of the best. Jumeirah experience starts from the time you reach airport lounge and can reach the resort by a short 15 minutes boat ride. Beach villas are huge and includes one of the biggest private pools in villas. Butlers are available 24 hours to cater from simple requests. There are wide range of food and beverage outlets always they can offer something creative. Talise spa experience is another highlight.

Very nice hotel, I enjoy my honeymoon very much while stay over here, water villa is just awesome as what it should be. Bar / restaurant are also kick ass... But the room cleaning needs to improve, hardly clean the room on time...

Amazing location, light scatter at night from the main island and noise from the airplanes wasn't disruptive. The staff went over and above to make our stay special. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

I've been to JVM twice & I'm planing my 3rd visit soon during this coming Eid break, I usually stay more than 15 nights which sounds crazy to everyone but It's ok for me because love the environment at JVM, having said that I'm now in direct contact with the management team which now I called them my friends to plan maybe a 20 nights

Finally I suggest JVM to all of you guys, it's beyond expectation. My kids is looking forward to make new friends

1) Location: it s near to Male Airport (almost 30 mins travel by ferry)
2) Airport welcome & departure: they will wait for you when you are coming out & take you to their AC ed office. While returning-back, they helped us through everything, checked in our bags & guide us to passport control. We didn t had to stand in the long queues because of their help.
3) Trip from/to Male Airport: they transferred us in an AC ed comfortable declined-able leather seats ferry. Our luggage were handled by them from leaving/returning to the airport & when returning back they waited with trollies for bags for each couple/family. (Travel wasn t by speed boat as many of the hotels in Maldives tend to use & don t care about price since you will be comfortable)
4) Island Welcoming/Leaving: we were greeted with Maldivian drums, smily faces of the staff (our service manager: Aziza & hotel manager: Morgan) & we were given an palm tree Maldivian necklace as a souvenir. While leaving, we were given our arrival photo as a souvenir for our stay which is really nice.
5) Island: nice & quite island. Not a big island (almost 1.5 KM to 2 KM) with an addition of ocean villas.
6) Check-in & Check-out: an early check-in wasn t given since no available ocean villa & unfortunately we had to wait from 10:00HRS to 14:00HRS to get our villa (This is not the hotel mistake since normal check-in time is 14:00HRS & international flights arrive at Male Airport early morning).
For Check-out; we had a complementary late check-out instead of 12:00HRS it was postponed to 19:30HRS from our same ocean villa which we appreciated since our return flight to Dubai was at 23:00HRS. This is something not easy to find in Maldives, Thank you Jumeriah Vittaveli.
7) Room: we booked an ocean villa, a nice wooden way from the beach to the room. The room was nice but, it was a little bit outdated (which is expected).

I highly recommend for a honeymoon it's perfect quiet and discreet.

The Water Villas equipped with every imaginable comfort including a small private pool ... great after snorkeling. Outdoor area directly on the lagoon with breathtaking ocean views. Great food and atractions. Gym suspended over the lagoon. Spa Center at the highest levels. Attractions and excursions for all tastes. Kids area with pool and dedicated staff. Truly difficult to find faults or inefficiencies.

Awesome,been to dozens if not hundreds of 5* hotels because of work , but this one was just truly something else been here twice already and hopefully going back in the summer , my #1 hotel and #1 holiday destination , the water villas are also preferred as its not too far from the main hotel and really focuses on privacy which is key.

Amazing place, amazing water sports, amazing people and, last but least, amazing prices (not in a good way, obviously). But if you can afford it, this is an experience of a lifetime.

Chef Michelin is well-deserved. The water house sand house is very good.

Like all Maldivian pictures floating around showing amazing greenery and breath taking beaches, Jumeriah Vittaveli doesn't fall short with its unique scenery.
The staff are mostly nice and friendly.
There around 4 restaurants. An Indian (most expensive and worthwhile), a French, a Grill restaurant and kind of all day casual restaurant.
Like other resorts, Jumeriah has many activities like scuba diving, snorkeling, and jet skiing.
Once you arrive here you would be assigned a personal Butler who will attend to all your needs during the stay.

The resort us 20min away from the airport by speed boat..

An amazing family oriented resort with great dining options, kids club, dive center as well as spa.
With close to 90 villas, either a beach or lagoon accommodation will suit your likes.

Great scenery, very diligent and helpful staff, good food but very expensive (food). Dinners for two round 300 or 400, without taxes or gratuities.

I go to Maldives a lot every time I try a new resort but like this I never saw! Very bad experience, the villas are very dirty , rats , plastic bottles , .. and when it s raining it comes inside the villa through the ceiling lights... at night no water in the bathrooms no WiFi and the private butler (Moussa) is not friendly at all always sleeping or not answering and don t want to service us,

Beautiful hotel located on a paradise island with lush vegetation. Spacious and comfortable villa with private pool and direct access to the beach. Of course the hotel also has luxurious overwater villas.
Many activities are proposed (snorkling, jet ski, sunset cruise ...). Finally gourmets and lovers of good wines will not be disappointed. The staff is at the top!

The one star is because the resort put our life in danger and i don't trust them anymore. ITS NOT A KID FRIENDLY PLACE. Please don't go here with your kids atleast. When we were returning from the hotel to the airport we had the worst experience on their "luxury" boat. My little sibling was standing outside when the boat suddenly started shaking like crazy. After a minute we realised that he was standing outside so I ran out to get him to find him holding onto the railing petrified. The drivers did not understand english nor did they warn us about the waves or give us life jackets. We felt sick in our stomach, on my way back after getting him I fell from my seat, the glass jars on the table broke. We kept asking them what is going on and received no response and blank stares, its like they didn't understand us at all. I don't get how can they put all our lives in danger and especially the child who would have literally flown off into the water if we had not acted. The "5 star luxury" hotel refused to take any responsibility for our experience and this is why I won't be returning.

worst experience ever. First of all, We booked the villa on the water so we have to take boat to go to the room. Every time we ask for the pick up we have to wait for a long time except checkout time. Secondly I haven't seen my butler or even got his call on the day we arrived, compare to other hotel we stayed the service is terrible. The salad we had in the room is not fresh at all, the salad tasted like kept in the refrigerator for 10 days. The thing that pissed me off the most is that The butler knows that the restaurant opening hr is 12:30, but I guess he is so eager to make sure that we leave our villa on time for them to clean the room for the next guest. Nobody tell us the restaurant opening hour. They send us to the restaurant by 11:40 and waited for the restaurant open for a long time. Again worst experience ever.

I have spent 5 days at Jumeirah Vittaveli resort for both my vacation and to celebrate my anniversary , never felt so welcomed in a resort in my entire life, all staff are friendly and welcoming , my special that is goes to Gulnaz as she made us very welcomed and made sure our stay with both my young kids to the maximum of tranquillity and nice

How does this place have a 4.7 star rating. After grAham left the place and got replaced by some dude called mazumder it went down south super fast.
He doesn t bother reply or bother about guests.
Anyway not worth it at all. I m glad they re shut now.

The meal is delicious, so don't waste your stay, especially mushroom risotto, excellent! You can relax and all the staff are rustic.

Fabulous location, food and service incredible. Unfortunately like most of the Maldivian resort islands they have built out onto the house reef to cater for the luxury holiday market with pools at each villa. Personally I preferred to snorkel in the house reef where you see the damage the tourist idyll demands.

Had the most incredible time here. Staff is pretty nice. The food is just okay but the water villas make up for that!

The chicken club sandwich and penne was our go-to eats. We probably ate it a couple times a day.

The breakfast buffet has pretty good options as well.

My family went there 2 times and still plan to go there. The service is amazing, the food and the villa is nice, and the sea is beautiful. One of the best resort I've gone so far!! I recommend everyone to go there!

Majestic experience, divine beaches and first class service. The rooms are spacious, pristine and the staff are incredibly helpful. It's proximity to the airport is very convenient; you take a boat instead of a seaplane. We went with an baby and the hotel provided a crib, a babysitter when needed and even sterilizing equipment for baby bottles.

They also have Russian speaking staff to cater to Russian tourists.

Dream site and the staff is lovely. The only thing the location is hard to find.

Spending a week here with my wife in this very special occasion was a correct choice. The staff were absolutely amazing. Beach suite was something from imagination. My problem was only with the AC because it's a hot weather it was not enough. They have a doctor on the island.
