The view is pretty but the room is not as good as the view. The slide bathroom door has no lock and always moves back which is surprising you when you need private time. The stuff is nice.

I was there for Party at the Point concert event, great location, great event with limited parking and limited space.
My relatives bought a boat at this harbor and stayed for a week while we got it ready for travel. Very nice area with well kept clean docks and bathrooms in the office building. Great view, marina restaurant and bar.
Paul Denino here is a great person, his online internet livestreams may be a little scuffed from time to time but he helped me with eating my big bucket of kfc and my xxl sized watermelon. definitely recommend if youre talking to paul denino
It was clean, felt private just walking around, beautiful, staff helped with boat troubles.
Great location and friendly staff great attractions and close to downtown!
Stayed at the Beach Club. Rooms are spacious. My room had a ceiling fan, fireplace insert with remote, shower with separate garden tub and large balcony with great views.
Nice location but was not overly impressed with the room. Furniture was older and worn. Not really updated. While we had a nice size suite, no microwave or coffee maker. Would recommend with reservations.
Need signs up to direct you where to go, other than that it was a good and speedy experience
I loved this place. The rooms were exceptionally decorated and had updated but authentic quality building materials. True Charleston vibe.
Great resort! Right on the beach, comfortable bed, Charleston fish house had the best she crab soup
Very nice location, right next to the shore. I stayed in the marina but that came with the use of the resort's heated pool and hot tub, which were more than welcome in January. There is a lot of help staff around to answer any questions. Good wifi connection.
Absolutely beautiful! From my room, I can watch ships, sailboats, etc!
Absolutely beautiful ..... One of my favorite hotels when in Charleston. Staff is amazing
Very tiny room, needs lots of updating. TV has very poor resolution as well as a very large scratch. Not recommend for the money. Location is nice and service is very good
If I could give 0 stars I would based on customer service alone. We had a falling out with our original accommodations and booked here last minute as recommended by someone in our large party for my bachelorette party. One of the girls was robbed $500 directly out of her wallet by housekeeping. The hotel did everything possible to try to accuse us and protect their employee. The housekeeper fabricated a lie that she saw someone break into our room which was completely false as she went into the room, took the money, switched out our towels, left the rest of the room a mess - didn't make beds, change garbages etc. Conveniently this was in the one room from our large party that didn't have a safe to store our belongings. The hotel refused to view the security camera of all of us leaving the hotel to prove we were not on the hotel grounds when the break in/ROBBERY took place. They were very dismissive of us and did not even offer to comp the one room that was BLATANTLY robbed by THEIR employee. So not only did we have to pay for that room, we were also out $500. The police officer who came clearly believed that it was the housekeeper and did more for us than this poor excuse of a hotel. As a business owner, I am completely appalled as I would do anything to accommodate my guests requests to ensure that the rest of their stay was reimbursed appropriately. This hotel ruined my bachelorette party for their poor customer service. I will not be recommending anyone from my expansive social circle to this hotel for future trips to Charleston. We are still considering pursuing legal action. Please do yourself a favor, research and stay somewhere else.
Room was very small for a 2 queen room and extremely dirty. Was very disappointed in the room size and overall cleanliness. Very outdated as well. The outdoor pool and activities made up for a very disappointing room.
We've stayed here before and loved it. However, this time, room 240, worst bed I've been in in a while, and hands down the worst pillows. If you stay here, and it's possible, bring your own. Literally woke up 2 days in a row with sore neck, shoulders and back. Really bad. Would gate it 3 stars because of that alone but the place is well kept and clean.
Such a beautiful place! Whether you're having an event, or you just want to relax pool side and enjoy the spa! Amazing!
Very hospitable and makes sure guests are treated first class. Place is beautiful as are the rooms and view. Location is easy to get to everything quick.
This hotel could use major work. The bedroom floors and bathroom were dirty and looked like they haven t been cleaned properly in quite some time. Additionally, some of the balconies outside had wasp nests on them and the roof itself had plenty more hanging from it. It s hard to enjoy the views of this place when you re constantly worrying about wasps around you.
There were a few positives from this place such as the views and beds being comfortable but the negatives of this place far outweigh the positives. For a resort, I expected an excellent stay but this was far from excellent. Avoid this place at all costs, there are definitely a lot better options for the price you ll be paying for a room here.
Great experience and a wonderful time. We loved every minute of our stay.
I stayed here 2 years ago on my wedding night and it was great! The staff was very helpful and nice. The rooms were what was expected and very clean. The bar was also very nice and had a nice view out the back of the harbor.
Good but not worth the price. Very average restaurant
So let's start with the good first.
The location being convenient to get to downtown via water taxi, the view of the old town across the river, and ease of driving to and parking compared to downtown are great. Pools , beach area and even good bars for some refreshing beverages was ok except warning realy cheap rot gut liquor used in mixed drinks. Staff very friendly and helpful as well.
Negative
Rooms in desperate need of a total refreshing, paint scuffed and soiled in many places. Textiles aka. sheets spread and such a bit on the worn side of condition. Hot tub in room a joke, more like a bathtub retrofit with jets, advertising was misleading about this feature. Guests have to pay for parking? Per day ... Insane when its not downtown where its a real issue. Last is we didn't eat here a single time as reviews and prices every time made us decide to go elsewhere and we were pleased with the local options. Basically for the premium price point I don't think we got true value for our purchase and it's a shame as the potential is definitely there to provide it.
We checked in @ the resort on June 15,2013. I requested an early check-in in advance and was told a room should be ready by 2:00. We got there extra early so we enjoyed the marina while waiting on our room. Long story short the room was not available until check-in time 4:00pm. Why offer early check-in if your not going to honor the request for your guests.
The grounds were gorgeous, hotel very clean. The room was small, bathroom extra, extra small. No microwaves in the room so there should be a designated area for guests to have access to a microwave. The microwaves were being used by other guests so we had to go down and let the staff take our food to the kitchen to warm it up. This was such an inconvenience.
The best part of the whole trip was Shem Creek. The bars and restaurants were superb.
Going for a second time.
We had some issues the first time. We voicing our concerns Sara Goodwin refunded one night. That show that they take issues seriously.
It is a beautiful location.
Stayed overnight on a Thursday night in an average room. Hotel had a nice "home" feel. The room itself was ok, but was being painted and had spackle on the walls from recent repairs. Great location though. They have a nice beach and outdoor pool/bar area.
Edit: night two. This is the noisiest hotel ive ever stayed at. Doors slamming constantly. The sounds of people dropping heavy things despite the fact im on the top floor. Will definitely not be staying here again.
The rooms are really nice in my opinion. I stayed harbor side. I chose a room with a harbor view, which did have a nice view of the habor.
My main complaint is that the walls of the rooms are paper thin. As i sit hear writing this, i can hear my neighbor cough and clear his throat. I could hear the lady across the hall from me last night talking. Not really the experience i want when i come to a "resort " to relax.
Check in time, is not gaurunteed, nowhere close actually. Manager stated there was minimal housekeeping staff and had no idea when we would be able to check in. Did not seem to be concerned about the dozen or so guests encountering the same issue. Only offered to call us when a room became available. 2.5 hrs later and nothing. Requested to cancel due to their issues, and was told I would still be expexcted to pay a cancellation fee. Pay for parking now, which is a joke. As a local this place has gone extremely downhill, and remains insanely priced. Stay away. The negative reviews are true.
Took a tour for wedding venue shopping and the place is beautiful! Great spot for events and vacations
The area was great, lovely view of the bridge and downtown. There's a convenient water taxi near by too and it's within walking distance to Patroit's Point
We were delighted with our room. It was charming. The view was lovely and the staff were quite friendly and accommodating. We would most definitely stay here again.
Very beautiful Resortand beach witha fun-loving atmosphere.
Room was not ready for 45 mins after 4 pm check in time, TV in our room and the gym equipment didn t work, poor pool staff, poor cleaning of our room- asked for linens to be changed- wasn t done, ran out of pool towels, even though our room was not ready when we arrived- they would not allow us to check out 1 hour later to help with our flight departure time. Too much money for such poor service I have never left a review before on any hotel- but I feel obligated to inform others of our disappointing stay and the poor service we received :(
I went to this venue for the concert and was completely confused with where it was taking place. Once I arrived it seemed like no event staff knew what was going on. I wandered around for a while before figuring out where to go. The staff was not very helpful in guiding people for the concert.
Great local venue next to Patriot's Point maritime museum. Golf, tennis, water activities, historical yours, top place to retire in 2020.
We were here as visitors for the eclipse and the staff were friendly and accommodating.
Great stay! Lovely place with a polished yet comfortable vibe
Stayed on 4th floor looking over pool, very nice and updated. Tip: call up location to get better room for same price aa those so called discount web sites. Great location, friendly staff, can't wait to go back next year.
Pros: Pool area is very nicely kept; views from harborside rooms are spectacular. Interior design is cute and very coastal, if a little worn in places. Very laid back vibe; feels secluded. Great location relative to Charleston and Isle of Palms. Cons: Expensive for what you get. In the larger and more $$ Beach Resort (white roof) vs. Harborside Resort (orange roof), rooms do not have microwaves or coffee makers, they do have a very small refrigerator. The bathroom was minimally stocked and was not replenished over our 3 night stay. Daily resort fee/$28; I guess to park your car and take the hourly shuttle to downtown Charleston. Shuttle does not operate to/from downtown at 1pm (we found this out the hard way, trying to return from Charleston). Fee for water taxi. Very limited food/drink options on site. Housekeeping needs to be improved, our feet were dirty just from walking barefoot in the room. Baseboards were dusty, side tables weren't wiped down (spillage from prior guests was obvious).
A beautiful place and very nice staff. They will lie to ur face , keep ur deposit when they state it's already been returned to ur account. They are liars and falsify anything they need to screw u over.food is terrible and overprice.pics are of the new bldg not dump next door they try to put u info not stay there
A large marina with fresh, clean and tidy facilities but only 4 showers. Very handy daily shuttle to the supermarket and Charleston. Wifi was weak and not reliable. Staff were helpful.
God-awful service, with the exception of housekeeping. I shouldn't be witnessing employees griping to one another about management - that's Management's failure, not theirs. And try to do something about the 4:1 chair to umbrella ratio at the pool. Competing with other guests not to scorch in Charleston sun is not what we paid for.
This place was wonderful. We chose the 4th floor balcony view of the Copper River, the boat pier, and the navy base. The view was beautiful. The room was very clean, nicely put together and also pleasingly beautiful.
I was wowed and it takes a whole lot to wow this woman. This resort is beautiful inside and out and only minutes to downtown Charleston. Everything in this hotel is in top notch shape. The rooms were comfortable and clean with a wonderful view. The staff was just great too!
I was in a wedding on 9/29/18. The view of the water was amazing. The cottage was very comfortable.
Amazing and beautified! Exceptional staff with the exception of gift shop, the blonde lady is very unfriendly.
This is a great little resort. Lively atmosphere during the weekend and quiet on Sunday just the way I like it. There views are awesome and the staff was great.
Went to Charleston for a last minute "girls getaway weekend" and could not have been more satisfied with our decision to stay here. It is a good mixture of family friendly as well as couple retreats/bachelorette/group vacation. The amenities are wonderful and the view is just simply amazing. The staff is extremely friendly and was happy to meet all of our requests. The pool in front of the Beach Club was our favorite, there is music and a Tiki bar that serves drinks/food (Ahi tuna tacos were great!). The rooms were very clean which is always a MUST in my book! The hotel is only about 5 minutes from Shem Creek, 10 minutes to downtown, and 20 minutes from Isle of Palms. I honestly can't believe I have not stayed here before and can't wait to visit again soon!!!!
Went for drinks. In the resort by the pool (pool was drained) bar was clean. wait staff was helpful with suggestions in picking out drinks. Bathroom (womens) seemed clean but smelled like vomit. Uber was able to find us easy.
Very disappointed. Paid extra for balcony to overlook harbor, saw palm trees. Could hear people banging in room next to ours. To top it off get up next morning to go on balcony to find someone upstairs has thrown up onto our balcony. Lovely. Room was clean with exception of spot of blood on pillow case. Only amenities were coffee & lemon water in lobby.will not stay here again nor recommend.
My husband and I stayed here on our honeymoon. Small rooms, but quiet area that was in a great location! Not far from Charleston and very close to Sullivan's Island which is where we beached. Lots to do around the area there too. Staff was always friendly and we didn't have any issues!
Just stayed 4 days here. First impression was sadly not good. We got into our room and it was pretty dirty. The floors had not been swept, there was other peoples hair in the bathroom, dirty fingerprints on the faucets and hair dryer, dust everywhere, scuffs on the walls-like a lot of scuffs- and dirty pillows. The pillows smelled like they had been laid on by a ton of people. Usually hotel pillows smell like bleach or very fresh. I called down and had them replace all of the pillows. The sheets smelled clean though. Maid service only came once during our stay. This was the only negative thing I have to say about this resort. First impressions are everything and sadly I was so grossed out by the room that I wore my flip flops the whole time because I didn't want to walk around barefoot. The floors should be swept and mopped and everything should be dusted and wiped of fingerprints.
The positive things-
Very friendly staff. The bartenders at the reel bar were amazing! Seriously so kind. It was two guys. I loved them! The hotel staff was so positive and kind as well. Any staff that we came across was so FRIENDLY. The view of the harbor was beautiful! Loved all the birds too! The water taxi to and from downtown was so convenient! We even saw some dolphins. :) The spa was so beautiful and nice.
I really hope that this hotel takes into consideration my thoughts about the cleanliness. That is HUGE for everyone and it needs to be in tip top shape. The holiday inn was cleaner than this. I'm sad to say I probably wouldn't stay again because of that. If you change that, you will start getting better reviews.
Definitely a great place to have drinks and enjoy the atmosphere of the summertime being near the pool. Plus Party at the Point happens there every Friday where bands play. Food, drinks etc.
Love having the boat in the water. Awesome facility
Got a great deal on our stay, otherwise I would not pay the nightly price. We checked in and recieved a room overlooking the dumpster and parking lot. The manager was so lovely and upgraded us the the harbor view no cost which was amazing even though it was in the corner and you could see more of the pool than harbor. Other than that, we continuously had to ask for things as housekeeping would empty the trash cans. That's it. The room had so many careless touches such as the blue paint everywhere and the backs of magazines transferred on the paint. The hot tub was continuously
Like warm. Not worth the money in my opinion.
Great place to stay. Friendly happy helpful personnel
I was very disappointed with the food not a big selection
Best place to stay in the Charleston area. Staff was very friendly
It is a beautiful well kept marina. The docks and slips are maintained impeccably. Friendly, courteous staff will handle all of your concerns while maintaining a professional atmosphere. I recommend this venue for any maritime lover.
The hotel staff was extremely helpful. The rooms were very clean and nice and ours had a beautiful view of the sunset. I would definitely stay again!
Well the hotel is pretty and the staff is very nice but it is an older hotel. The walls are so thin I literally heard my left side neighbors whole conversation between their 2 yr old and her Grandma and then was awoken by my right side neighbor around 3am throwing up. That last one was fun. They have coffee and a small shop but nothing else food wise out in the lobby. They do have a refrigerator, safe and coffee maker but no microwave. Some things were broken but they came to fix them. My only issue was I specifically told them to wait till I checked out because I don't like people being in my room. Despite this and the do not disturb sign on my door they still came by and then tried to open the door to which thankfully I had the chain on. This was extremely troublesome to me as you expect your privacy to be respected. You have to go next door to the sister hotel for any amenities. With that said there is a lot to do and the view was beautiful. It was not a bad stay but not really 4 star either. This review is more in the interest of full disclosure rather than a bad review. Overall we were happy. One last note. I forgot my computer charger (Value $70) in the room. I called the Tuesday following and was transferred to housekeeping. I left a voicemail since no one answered and I have yet to receive a call back from them now 3 days later.
When we arrived at the hotel we were told they had only one room left but that we could upgrade to the resort next door for $50, we asked to see the room and it was not at all like the photos and had a lovely view of the parking lot. After speaking to the nice manager, they did find another room that overlooked the marina. The air conditioning unit sounded like a pressure washer when it ran. I do not feel this is a good choice for the money. The view of the marina and water was great.
JR
Attended Burger Throwdown. Very fun event with a beautiful view. Would definitely go again
The service was good but the food wasn't great and it was over priced.
Well-run marina, very accommodating and friendly! Good proximity to the Fish House restaurant next door.
