The grounds are very pretty and the pools are nice. Rooms are about the level of Quality Inn. Not what you expect from a resort. Pool bar and grill are only open on weekends. Spa closed on Mondays. Staff was mostly very young. Wait staff in restaurant could not coordinate as to who was covering what tables, so customers were getting upset.

Was playing golf and asked if they gave a military discount and they said yes. Paid and then picked my buddy up and he went and paid, he's never been in the military, asked what he paid and turns out he paid the same price I did, so they lied to me about the discount.

Definitely one of my favorite golf courses is the San Antonio and surrounding region. Good Hill Country golf with scenic views and peaceful play. The course can be challenging but that's what makes it fun. Club house is up and running and was very nice. Highly recommend.

The new renovations are FANTASTIC! I always feel special when I come visit here. Between the spa and restaurants there is so much to do and the rooms are very clean and well equipped. I loved my visit, and highly recommend the salt cave experience!

When staying in this area, we always include a round of golf at Tapatio Springs Golf course. The golf course is in great shape. The people are great. Can't wait until they get the new club house done.

What a great experience. During these COVID times we were looking for a place to getaway to and feel safe. This was the best experience we have had during this COVID crises. Staff was exceptional, place was clean with lots of outside activities and plenty of room to be socially distant. We ate at the main restaurant terrace and had a great meal. Now we went on a Sunday and Monday and only used the adults pool. (I hear Friday and Saturday gets more crowded and the main pool was a little more used). Cannot wait to go back!!

Got hit into on the 17th hole by a guy with his wife. There was a 4some in front of us and we took a little extra time on the green then should have but not unacceptable. He hits into us but we didn't make a big deal until he drove up with his girlfriend/wife and gives us "look at me, I'm a tough guy attitude", which we actually thought was amusing. We run into him in the parking lot and jokingly ask him if he was having a bad day. He shows his anger again with us and says that he's a member of the Topatio golf club and that we were banned from ever playing there again. Sad, sad, insecure person trying to show off for his woman. Otherwise we loved the course and had a great day. Unfortunately we can't come back because he banned us.

This resort is on a beautiful golf course. The rooms were clean but pretty outdated, and the mattress wasn't very comfortable. The spa though was incredible! We splurged on the "Bliss" spa package, which included a body scrub, a full body massage, a facial, and a light lunch. I was very, very pleased with the spa experience. The resort restaurant was pretty good, but had limited options and was very pricy! Ultimately I would recommend the spa more highly than the resort.

Absolutely phenomenal location. Just north of SA this resort is settled in the quiet hills of Beorne and offers a beautiful golf course that is kept in great repair even with drought conditions. The rooms need some updating but the brand new clubhouse has great food and the staff is very accommodating. There is even a pool for the kids, highly recommend for a quiet getaway.

This is a beautiful area but we were disappointed with our room. When we booked weeks in advance, we requested a view of the golf course. On the day of arrival, I was told those rooms "were all taken". I mentioned we had requested a view of the golf course when we booked and I "wasn't surprised". The young lady changed us from building 5 to building 9 and asked if I wanted the first floor or second floor. I asked for the second. She told me we had a "beautiful view of the golf course and mountains in a quiet area". What we got was a view of the practice greens. It was NOT what we were looking for. My husband and I were very disappointed. What's worse is this place was not busy at all the weekend we were here. You would think they would try to WOW us so we come back. Happy 30th Anniversary to us. We'll be sure to book elsewhere next time.

Beautiful resort nestled in the Texas Hill Country. So much to do in the area, but I recommend relaxing and letting the resort staff pamper you. The new clubhouse is amazing and the food at La Cascada was very good. Definitely get a massage in the salt cave and take walking shoes to explore the resort grounds. Take advantage of their s'mores set up at night and remember, star gazing is amazing in the hill country.

Tapatio springs needs to do the right thing for the Texas Hill Country and stop letting a sewage station be put in to accommodate the KB home development that is going to ruin Boerne Lake. Do the right thing George Strait.

Came to TS for a round of golf. Very nice course in a beautiful environment. Due to some construction going on, we had to start on the 10th but this was not verbally communicated to us when we checked-in. A bit of confusion that lead us to startin off later than expected. Some of the rough grass was overgrown as well. B+ experience overall.

We were there this pasted September and played 18 golf course was in great condition. Staff were great!!!! We didn't stay there for the night, but understand the place is having some improvements for lodging. We plan to make it a yearly golf outing.

It was a great trip in what was secluded location. Rooms are a little dated but really large in the size. The SPA, although not very large offers great customer service and a unique experience. We ate at the golf house where I they had some great options, but you have to try the smokehouse pizza

I m confused how the reviews are all so great. Maybe these were pre- covid? It s all began when we asked for a pack and play and the person delivering it was not wearing a mask. The individuals cleaning rooms weren t masked either. The pack and play was disgusting with brown stains all over it.

The pool was reminiscent of one you d find at Motel 6.

The restaurant, meeting rooms and golf course looked great but the rooms need to be deep cleaned and renovated.

Dinner also was not great. The service was! The people working at the pool and Restaurant/Bar were incredibly friendly. Food was sub-par.

My girlfriend and I chose this resort for a nice weekend getaway. The property is beautiful, and the upgraded areas are nice. The room was a pretty standard room, when I booked I was hoping for a king bed but according to the website they were all taken. Upon arrival it seemed that the resort was just about empty, so not entirely sure where all the booked rooms were. Parking is abundant. The first night we ate at the on site restaurant, the wait staff was great, as well as the indoor bar staff. Food was decent, however we opted to go into town for dinner the next night to find a better dining experience. The first morning we were awoken by a stomping on the floor above our room. This continued for at least an hour, then stopped, then started. I went to call the front desk however the in room phone had no options or information on how to contact the reception area. I know the loud people above our room is not the fault of the resort, but that of inconsiderate people, but it still became enough of an issue for us to avoid the room in the morning because the constant noise became uncomfortable. The first day we went to the double L bar by the pool. We were greeted by a bartender who we seemed to be inconveniencing. His demeanor had us second guessing if we even wanted to stay there but being as it was the only option, we figured we would give It a try. We were the only people at the bar. Before we went, my girlfriend and I looked up the menu online and had a general idea of what we wanted. The menu we were given at the bar had less than half of what was online. When I asked the bartender if the online menu was still available I was met with a very short and annoyed "No" we ordered a burger and turkey burger, both of which seemed like a frozen item that had just been reheated and covered in seasoning. My girlfriend ordered a milkshake, she was given a cup with stirred cheap ice cream. "F'real" milkshakes are definitely not what my idea of real is. I asked for a drink menu and the bartender said "we don't have one". Again I looked on the menu online and asked if he could make any of those drinks and he replied "I'll try" the drink I ordered was a "Strait Tea" which after one sip was not drinkable. We then had a massage booked at the Pure Sol spa. It was not bad, but for the price, we have had much better experiences before. The last day we checked out and decided to sit by the pool for a few hours before going home. There are 2 pools on the property, one of which has a slide and seems very family friendly, the other of which is a smaller and what I believed to be an adult only pool. After a few minutes of enjoying the sun, a woman with several children came and changed the ambiance. I am not sure if the pool was truly and adult only pool, but that was the vibe I had. Disappointing to be splashed while trying to relax. All in all the resort was a nice place. Given a better room, better dining, better pool staff, and better spa experience, we would loved to come back. However once leaving we concluded that for the same price and distance, there are many much better options available and will not be returning.

Outstanding customer service!!! Charles greeted us at the door with such professionalism and kindness as he explained our services and the holistic benefits of all the Spa offered. We enjoyed everything and will return soon for more services. Thank again Charles for making my experience great. Also I want to thank Joy for my relaxing massage...your hands are healing.

Had my Birthday Dinner there last night.
The service was very slow. With only a few quest, In restaurant and only 1 in bar, it took 20 minutes to get a cocktail. The food definitely did NOT. Correspond with prices. Small portions, had to send my steak back since I couldn't cut it, Husband and waiter could not cut it either. I don't think George would be happy dinning here.

Had the most beautiful time. The entire staff in every area were so attentive and friendly. The food was divine, the Chef is outstanding! Loved the rooms, the pool and the fire pits!

Stayed here for my birthday & absolutely LOVED it!!! George Strait is doing an awesome job! Offers pool, spa, horseback riding, tennis, hiking trails & great live music. Also the fire pits on colder evenings were lovely. Everyone was so nice. They have lobby's to wait in & relax. The restaurant food is great & low priced. Staying here for my brother's birthday & mine again.

My husband and I just elected a long car ride and weekend staycation somewhere secluded and came across this gem of a Resort. We were a bit apprehensive as we currently face so many places experiencing political and racial division during this election time. Needless to say, my fears were put to rest when welcomed by the registration clerk. The view from our second-floor balcony room was perfect. The place was very clean, sanitized, and ready for us to relax in. Although the interior designs of the rooms were a bit dated (we didnt mind because we were there to rest and rejuvenate), they were equipped with a coffee Keurig, refrigerator, big comfy beds, and a giant TV with cable. We did experience issues with the wifi and cellphone signal, but we were given a different room the next morning. The staff was very accomodating and even assigned a virtual concierge text service to help with minor accommodations. We placed a dinner order with the property LA TIENDA and the food was flavorful. The portion could have been a bit more generous, but the food was good enough to not even complain. We stayed in our room and enjoyed the lakeside view from our second room. If we have enough time, we would have fished and enjoyed their campsites. Very great place for entertainment and seclusion. My husband is a tough critic, but he gave this place a thumbs up.

Beautiful location in the start of hill country, up a winding road that makes you feel far from the busy world even though it is close to the freeway and shopping. We didn't golf but the course looks beautiful. Very nice pool areas. Spa services were excellent especially the salt cave. There was a large business group there at the same time as our visit but it not negatively impact our stay.

Tapatio is our refuge for a safe weekend away from home, our first in many months. The staff is friendly and working hard to keep everyone safe, we simply love staying at this gorgeous resort.

Visited for a legal conference few weeks ago. Restaurant and reception area very nice, rooms spacious and partially updated, beds very comfortable, room could use a mini-fridge. Great breakfast, restaurant seemed under-staffed, service slow 1st day however staff very pleasant. Very nice adult pool and spa area. Family pool looked great for families with slide and other items to keep kids amused. Feel room & services over-priced for what we got & especially since we are returning for a girls get-away this week and rooms over $100/night less.

La Cascada Restaurant at Tapatio Springs Resort was sadly disappointing. The wine glass had leftover lipstick and water stains on it, the fries were cold, the steak was chewy, the vegetables were mush, the added side of spinach was over-garlicky and microwaved too hot, and the requested salt never arrived.

We were looking for a place to bring visiting relatives, and we'll just have to keep on looking.

Overall, I was disappointed. I was looking to celebrate my birthday at a resort in a COVID safe environment. I wish I read these reviews prior to know that the updated rooms described and pictured on the website were not accurate. The room was dated and not cleaned per the websites COVID cleaning information. I cleaned the room upon arrival and there was visible dirt on the cleaning wipes, cobwebs and hair in the restroom. The dining was subpar as well. The most disappointing was that I was served undercooked chicken.

As far as positives, the firepits are pretty. I think the golfers love the property. The staff we interacted with were all helpful and kind. There are some very nice vineyards nearby.

However, because we benefited from no amenities the price of the room was over priced.

Great place to play a round of golf, unfortunately the club house burned down and is in the process of being rebuilt. The course was in good shape had a quick 4 hour round and enjoyed the scenery.

Customer service. Attentive to needs right away. We have loved coming here since we found it 3 years ago! So happy it s open now after the fire and surviving COVID (trying to!). Special place for us and our family who drove from Austin for little getaways.
