My GF and I stayed at the resort for out 3 year anniversary, the front desk was extremely generous putting us in a Bayfront room and sent up a bottle of champagne for us! Thanks Colleen you really made they stay awesome for us.

Our check in time was 4, we waited an additional four hours for our room to be ready. We did not get in to our room until 8, at that point it was reasonably clean, but not the best. The internet barely worked and our remote and A/C did not work.
We were just happy to not have our reservations cancelled like others trying to check in.

Beautiful resort! Enjoyed drinks by the water & walked over to the restaurant on property & had a beautiful view there. First time we were in the Charleston area that we didn't leave our resort! Can't wait to go back & stay longer!

Amazing place. Maybe I'm easy to please being a northerner in a tropical like resort. The view is great. I reserved ahead of time, so I saved some money. Friendly and informative staff. Can get pricey with drinks and food but i doubt you'll find cheaper around this part of the world.

Nasty, dirty, and chaotic. They will slip a charge in anywhere they can; parking, 25% auto gratuity on food and bev. Poor service and poor food. I had a fly in my mouth from coffee, seriously a big black mushy fly in my mouth. Dont waste your time here, this place is gross !

Great resort to get away. Stay at both buildings and enjoyed both room(new building has nicer rooms) the colors in the facility are vibrant and full of life. Stayed here 4 nights and I was able to relax. Pool is clean and great for kids. Bar nearby the pool and you can order food.

Just ok, and definitely not worth what we paid. We booked a room. The room we booked ( a King Harborside view) was teeny tiny - the floors were dirty, the room was old and dusty. The only view we had was of the dirty roof overlooking the pool. It turns out a room with 2 queen beds and a balcony was less money (go figure)!? After several phone calls we were moved to the queen room. It wasn't any cleaner and the air conditioner didn't cool down, so we basically roasted all night long. They fixed the A/C the second night (thank God). Our room was never cleaned and it took us until 9pm the second night to get any fresh towels. The girl that checked us in failed to inform us of this. We also paid 28.00 a night in "resort fees" - for many amenities that were not even available due to Covid19. I was told the fee covered the use of swimming pool!? There is no beach access and restaurants nearby are tourists traps that are grossly overpriced. If I had paid 50% less I would have been ok with it. Trust me, dodge this bullet -- if you are planning to spend over 250.00 a night on a hotel in Charleston do yourself a favor and stay at one of the many fabulous hotels downtown or at Wild Dunes on Isle of palms.Charleston Harbor Resort is a bait and switch, cash grab, tourist trap.

This place is an absolute dump. You do not want to stay here. Upon checking in, the room air conditioner did not work. The room smelled musty. There was BLOOD on the pillow.

The front desk staff moved us to another room. In the new room the bed had an unidentified spot of liquid on the sheet. The carpet in the room was damp. The swimming pool was cloudy. At the wedding reception that night the food was mediocre. A rat ran across the dance floor that night.

The next night the hotel rented our musty room from the previous night to someone else. The management is irredeemable.

Trust me, you don't want to stay here.

Place is gorgeous! Loved the decor, views etc.. a few down points...my room smelled of cigarette smoke upon walking in. They charge a resort fee of $30 plus tax/day and don't see that clearly when you make your reservation.

Cracker thin crust cheese pizza. The pizza was a little dry but very good. Plain wings and rubbed wings with mustard bbq, which was good, hot buffalo sauce, ranch and blue cheese. The wings were big and fresh. Not fried out. Great 80's music

Considering it costs around $250/night for a small room with no balcony and no breakfast, this resort is unfortunately terrible and not at all worth it. Open and exposed electrical sockets, broken sink and shower drain, poor paint jobs and dead bugs smeared against the walls, an uncomfortable mattress, horrible wifi, no cable television, an old crusted shower head with no bathroom fan, and a broken desk chair. Honestly, it's hard to believe this place can get away with charging so much. Don't stay here. Use Airbnb or stay somewhere actually in Charleston. The cleaning staff was friendly, it's the owners or management that must suck.

My family and I get here to find that the beach is a man made beach that does not have water access. False advertisement. We get to our room that is very small and had a horrible view of the parking lot. Check out our bathroom and looks like it had not even been cleaned, there was hair in our bathtub, and not to mention it was a million degrees in our room when we got here.

The entrance and exit system of this resort is absolutely terrible. Horrific. You must have your room key or you can not exit, and this IS NOT made clear. The line to simply exit the resort ( only one exit) takes well over ten minutes because of frequent technical issues and people not having room keys to grant the gate to open. Additionally, the service at the pool cabana and at the resturant is aggressive and overbearing. You are only allowed 2 pool chairs per family, food is less than appetizing, and service is judgmental/uptight. i would never return to this resort

We stayed one night here while in Charleston for the weekend. It s a great location, about 15 minutes from the city, and the resort itself provides its own oasis. We stayed in the jacuzzi for about 2 hours and there was also a heated pool and very large non heated one. I would stay here again. The room itself was a bit small though and some things were falling apart. I was surprised it was a 4 star hotel.

Each year this venue graciously hosts Charleston Race Week. It is the largest keel boat regatta in the western hemisphere. With almost 300 hundred boats, each with 4-13 crew, plus all the support boats (40+) and volunteers, it is quite an undertaking. Yet, for 4 days Chas Harbor Resort provides tasty evening food for hundreds of people, excellent service well organized for efficiency so no one has to wait in a long line to get their food. The staff is friendly, helpful, cordial and very busy! Thank you from a long term CRW participant!!

The private deck was outstanding with a beautiful view. The room was lovely with great pricing over the harbor of Charleston viewing the sites , water, & pool, and cabanas. However, the room did have some dampness or mist from air conditioning and bay breeze.

The good: This place was really picturesque. My room was wonderful. The staff were extremely friendly and courteous. They also booked us the same day when our original plans feel through. So for that am extremely grateful I would love to give them a perfect rating, but...

The bad: At least twice during our three day stay, they had severe facilities issues that caused significant issues. First, at arrival, we were told the internet was down and they could not check us in until it came back up. This took over four hours, during which we could not get a drink, use the pool, etc. My wife and I were not dressed for going anywhere else and as such, just waited in the lobby for hours. The staff comp' d us drinks for use later and free breakfasts for the stay, which was nice. Then during or second night, we arrived back to find nothing open. I didn't get a full story, but from whay I could tell, the entire resort lost power for some time and closed all guest services. I was hoping for a soda or juice, but there were no vending machines, bars, room services, or restaurants open until the next morning.

So all in all, I would recommend provided they can get their facilities in order.

Beautiful hotel and view of the harbor. Great little bar in the hotel we stayed at. Very clean room and super comfy beds. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Only complaint is that you have to pay like... $25 bucks to park at the hotel that you're staying at.

First the good. The location is spectacular!! The harbor is nice with lots of dolphins. Water taxi and trolleys are very convenient. The bed was super comfy!

Now the bad. Hot tub was filthy and luke warm and it was never cleaned. The rooms were BRIGHT yellow and outdated. The bathroom door was taken of a medieval castle and was on rollers. My husband had to shut and open it for me it was so heavy. Very weird.

The cleaning service was poor to say the least. Not to big a deal but they give you a Showtime schedule but you don't get that channel only the crappy step sister Showtime channels. The breakfast buffet you have to pay for was terrible. The plates were dirty and the food dried out. When we told them this they were blase about it. No apologies. Ice bucket was caked in dust and so was ice scoop.

The view as spectacular and made a lot of these problems better. But we sure expected a lot more of a hotel of this caliber. Will stay there again.

Great place to see the Charleston Harbor sunset, and birdwatch! The butterflies and tree swallows are starting to stream across the harbor as they migrate south! Just beautiful. Otherwise, the management of the facilities is lackluster...There certainly is room for improvement. Between the rats on the docks, the dead fish carcases, and the slimy swimming pool...well, you be the judge...

We recently stayed at the Charleston Harbor Resort, Beach Club. From the minute we arrived until the minute we left we were impressed by every single detail of this resort. Upon our arrival we were met with superior guest service and professionalism. Our room was amazing! It was very large and roomy and the view of the harbor and the pool was spectacular. We could have sat on our deck and watch the boats in the harbor all day long! We spent time at the pool, the Tiki Bar, and the Reel bar. Every meal, including room service was delicious- especially the chicken tacos at the Tiki Bar. I had called 1 week prior to our reservation to inquire about shuttle service from the airport. The resort recommended Bruce Morgan, a limo driver who had recently started his own business. Bruce picked us up at the airport and even gave us some recommendations for entertainment in Charleston. We took the Water Taxi one evening into Charleston for dinner, then called Bruce who picked us up and shuttled us back to the hotel. Bruce also drove us back to the airport upon departure. Bruce is very, very professional. He has a fun demeanor and was truly one of highlights of our trip. We thank all of the staff at the Harbor Resort. Highly recommended if you are in the Charleston area and looking for the perfect place to top off your visit to Charleston!

The hotel is advertised as a 4 star resort and it's more of a cheap motel with a good view. The bad reviews are accurate about the cleanliness and our TV was broken. The worst part is all the hidden fees for "amenities" that don't exist.

Great location, terrible resort if you want to call it a resort. Horrible staff, bathroom showers leaked all over the floors, air-condition on ceiling leaked on the entrance floor of our room and had pink mold, complained to the front desk about the carpet sticking up as you walk out of the elevator, which I tripped and almost fell, 2 days later nothing was done about it. One last thing, if you are planning to stay and dine here make sure you withdraw part of your pension fund, you will need the money.

Very unhappy! I was double charged for my room. All the money I had allotted for my stay in Charleston (for my birthday) was used to cover the room. So my friend had to pay for everything while we were there. No compensation, nothing! Been 4 days since I was charged twice and it s still not back in my account. Will never stay again.

We came into the marina for a couple of days and really enjoyed our time ! The shuttle from the resort was very nice to take to town ,I would suggest that you go earlier in the day . There was more n more people wanting to use the shuttle and it seats 14 . Used the pool area and it was easy to get places like the Yorktown ship . The only thing was they said there would be a splitter to rent for our power and there wasn't one when we arrived .

Great

Fun!

The only good things good about this hotel was the water front view, the cleaning staff and the proximity to entertainment such as the aquarium the slave market and a water taxi/ferry..Everything else was a disaster. To start things off we didn't have a menu in the room for room service which wasn't a big deal.. im not that picky but we asked for one.. didn't receive it.. the refrigerator didn't work..
the room would fluctuate from 68 degrees to 78 for no reason.. the ironing board was broken .. the ceiling had a water stain.. ceiling fan wobbled.. the bathroom fan did not work..the bathroom pocket door was so heavy and without a feasible latch to get a grip to push and pull.. it had to be left open wide enough to get your fingers around the edge just so you could get in and out.. the toilet paper holder was literally about 12 inches off the floor not to the front but beside the toilet along the same wall..I'm 6' 5.. you can imagine how that played out..the beds were super hard...the kids activities were not included as we were led to believe..but a "small" fee of 20$ per 3 hours.. tons of sand fleas in the "private beach".. not to be confused with water access.. only at the pool. We also received another rooms checkout papers under our door which I still don't understand how that mistake is made.. and to add insult yo injury our smoke detector started beeping the last 3 hours of our stay..the sad thing is, I would have let a lot of this slide but one thing after another is what led to this rant and so Instead of letting things go I just felt like I should pass it on. Definitely not worth the money not worth the time..
. The kids activities are extra.. there is a fee per day tagged

This "resort" is AWFUL! The room was nasty and very outdated. Small room but we do not plan on staying in room the whole time. The carpet was damp and the room smells musty and dirty. The bathroom is not appealing. There was a dirty, wet washcloth left in the bathtub. We used the free pool towels and either there were "beach fleas" or bugs in the towels because my husband and I got bit. We are very disappointed with this resort and feel like we are staying in a motel. It could be such a lovely place to vacation if management invested time and money into the rooms. Unfortunately, we will not be returning to the Charleston Harbor and Marina.

Friendly dock people but the outside dock about to float away.
Had move twice to get shore power for the boat and then there is no water anywhere near my boat. If you walk on the dock the seagull droppings are everywhere and you walk in on the boat.
I have been stopping here for over 10 years and I am sorry to say this will be my last.

Their tiki bar closes way to early. It takes a while to get served outside by the pool. The fish house could do a little better in my opinion. The third star is for the view, and the potential this place has. Parking is a nightmare with their gates that work half the time and when they work people seem to not know how to operate them.

The accommodations are absolutely amazing! The view is stunning! The rooms are extremely clean and decorated very well. The beach is in walking distance. My favorite part is a fireplace is next to the pool and hot tubs. There are two restaurants within walking distance in addition to this food service in the resort. I've been there twice and I will go again!
