Centerparcs Heijderbos Reviews

Beautifully situated and peaceful park. The summer of 2018 is of course unprecedentedly beautiful, so in the week that we stayed here, Dutch weather was nice every day. This contributes to a carefree stay. I personally noticed the friendliness of the staff. Service oriented, in for a friendly chat. Hold on to people (and managers) because that makes it extra pleasant. Nothing to complain about. Tomorrow unfortunately back home but with a feeling of "here we come back".

Enjoyed breakfast at Jungle Doom. Lovely swimming pool. No child had on the children.

Very nice and cozy, although the houses are quite outdated

There were two of us (mother and daughter) and the travel agency had promised us two bedrooms. Got the key and drove to our house
And kicked it. The shock was great. The whole house consists of two rooms. A living room and the bathroom, the rest is all in one room.
We were then at the front desk and wanted to clarify it. The nice lady wanted to offer us a house with two bedrooms for 300 more (head keys and stinky).
The swimming pool is good. The ways are long to the center. Some corners could be tidied up and looked after.
The prices in the center are already expensive but you expect that on vacation.
The offer is versatile to use but everything is expensive.
We will not visit the park again

Nice park. Unfortunately not able to use the facilities due to the lockdown. House was otherwise fine!
Unfortunately, the measures are not properly complied with. Still several households in one house, whole families in the supermarket and too many people inside. Unfortunately, nobody is addressed about this.

Great for kids. And everything can be easily reached with the bicycles.

Unfortunately everything was very tired and dirty. Nothing is invested in the park anymore. Price / performance are not in relation

Great park. People always complain about dated houses. Then don't go. Nice park .. Nice pool. Good and fresh food. Especially fun for the kids. 1 of the most beautiful parks of centerparcs. We will come back for sure.

Extremely overpriced Hotel not tidy Windows could not be closed Balcony dirty Bathtub wobbles etc.
So my conclusion for center parcs was extremely bad once and never again

We stayed in VIP-Suites, which are rather comfortable. The Aqua Mundo (swimming center) was overcrowded with day guests so that it was not at all relaxing. Food and drinks are very high priced. The whole park looks partially shabby and old. Over all not worth the quite expensive price. No recommendation.

Nice park, many activities, nice pool, fun for all ages, but the house was not very clean.

Does what a center parcs should do. You are away for a while and the children have the most fun. Swimming pool is great! :)

A real Center Parks park: large and busy. Lots of overdue maintenance on roads and paths. Bungalows are classic and small.

Awesome. Really vacation. Beautiful park, good food in the buffet restaurant and almost everything gluten free. Very friendly staff.

well who gives money for this is really crazy. for 3 days 1000 and only 2x 1.5 hours swimming and rest, everything costs extra expensive. really crazy house. and also super dirty spiders webs spiders mosquitoes broken tiles in the bathroom the kit moldy . really just don't go. for that money you can go to the sea for a week and all. success grt

Filthy houses, a lot of nuisance from young people in the park.

Really bad expected more room dirty and in the rooms you can hear the rats ... Unbelievable

We love the Parc. Next year will finally begin the necessary renovation.

Very bad this. Called centerparcs before booking to ask what was and was not possible during the Corona time, Ms. Mrs. says on the phone, in principle, nothing has changed. The only thing you need to reserve is swimming. there is really nothing to do swimming appears to be only 1.5 hours everything has to be reserved there is nothing to do with the kids because the games hall is also closed bowling is also not possible because that was already full when we arrived from misery so rented a golf cart and from playground to playground really great! And not to forget just paid the full price!

Nicely maintained park.
However, not my favorite, not nicely wooded everywhere, and also several open areas.

Unfortunately due to covid we were unable to swim / eat and do some entertainment at the park.
I think center parcs has dropped a stitch here, in terms of service to the house.
For example, delivery would have been an additional luxury.

We had the renovated VIP house.
To be honest, you really couldn't see any of that.
Several pieces of furniture were replaced by ikea replacements.
And that definitely detracted from the added value of taking a renovated VIP cottage.

Our sauna was not an infrared sauna. And I thought that was an advantage.

Location of our house (838) was very good, only a 4-minute walk to the plaza. (Although there was nothing there now because of the covid restrictions).
Our cottage was right across from a play area, and 2 minutes away was a larger play area for children.

I believe that the Heijderbos is an ideal park for families with children over 2 years old.
This is partly because so much has been arranged for this target group.
Think of the jungle dome and all the play islands in the park.

The park is beautiful and there is a lot to do
The staff are very nice and helpful
Downside are the beds in our accommodation, the single beds have all sagged, unfortunately we slept badly.

Still a nice park. Here and there it is time for a small renovation, this applies to both the houses and the rest of the park.

Very relaxed - one of the best centerparcs. We were well received and everything was according to our expectations (VIP cottage). The range of activities is huge. Gladly again. honorable

The park is beautiful and the pool is beautiful, there is plenty to do for the kids ..
.. but the houses are definitely in need of replacement and it is very dirty hair mold in the ventilation of the bathrooms kitchen grease is just outrageous especially for the price paid for it vedder the staff is friendly

We are a family with two children and often in different parks. This one deserves only a single star! The houses are very dirty, the floor in the kitchen sticks, windows writing are all not cleaned and provided with fingerprints of the predecessor, trash is under the loft bed and the water of the bathtub is not running properly. All shelves, as well as the dining lamp are dusty. To the service: rude if something does not go to plan. The booked bowling could not take place according to plan, because of double occupancy of the courses. General: Partial exterior lighting defective, so that you can see paths very bad. Auqua mundo is ok.

The cottage (2 persons) was somewhat outdated and especially the beds need updating. Furthermore, beautiful park, lots to do for young and old, friendly staff.

The bungalow was old and full of cobwebs.
And due to Corona, the attractions can only be used for a limited time or not at all!

Nice park to see plaza was very disappointing and the food from the restaurant was not much special for the money snitzel was small dry and very dark, the fries from the fries case was weak also not worth repeating, the service was very well organized wall everything that was not in order is immediately replaced within an hour, which is why we give 3 stars a rating of 6, we have already been to div center parks but we really don't like this one. Ps also the house was badly cleaned, we were already shying that we started to sneeze and people with dust allergies notice this immediately.

Unfortunately had a very dirty bungalow but otherwise everything was fine

great park, cottage is really worn out. I am not going to say that it is really dirty, but the mattresses of the beds are still spots. not nice to sleep. The cushions of the seat are also enormously worn, which does not invite you to sit in it. Order at home was not how it had to go. we'll be back but after the renovations.

House is dated. Well spacious garden is a bit on the small side. Pool play options are super!

I spent a really great holiday here this year. I can highly recommend the restaurant El Fuego to everyone. Here I had the best carpaccio I have ever tasted.

Houses somewhat outdated and tired. Swimming pool is also nice. A somewhat older park, you can also see this. Unfortunately everything in and around it is expensive!

Our comfort house was in very, very poor condition.
Dirty walls & floors - garden furniture was not intact and the rubbish from the tenants in front of it was also still on & next to the terrace.
There are also 100 mosquitos in the house.
These are probably also partly responsible for the dirty walls.
It is easy to see that they have been smashed very, very often on the white walls!
Under such conditions, I would not visit the park again! Especially not if you want to travel with children!

Very good with lots of activities but the cleaning of the houses leaves something to be desired for the price

Nice center parks, cottages are great and the swimming paradise is fun. The fast whitewater course is fast, but also bumpy (you will notice after a few times). The accessibility by public transport is less (45 minutes on the bus from Nijmegen station, then a short walk). Please note: Google Maps will send you to a non-existing side entrance.

Everything worn, worn or broken. Bed completely worn out, allegedly no Ersatzmatrazen there, although the type bed in the park 1000 times installed. Cobwebs everywhere, dust / dirt under the sofa. Half Aqua Mundo locked, for which there was only 10 voucher, no free cancellation possible. Wheels from the rental lousy maintained and still expensive. Premium Wi-Fi expensive and still too slow for FullHD streaming. Lake in park center brown / green, offers a mini "beach", where bathing is prohibited. Overnight costs still go awry. And NO, it's no excuse that by 2020, it's going to be completely redeveloped. Then I have to shut down for a year and adjust the prices down. And no, we will not come back after the renovation and let us once again pull the money out of his pocket.

A very old facility but very well maintained. Everything was great except for the sanitary facilities in the swimming pool proper showers and toilets would be really appropriate.

beautiful plaza lots of good restaurants, you don't have to leave the park. very good swimming pool very busy in the autumn holidays but nice if you have children yourself, very good houses. beautifully situated in the forest.

Very nice park with great pool, but the general condition and the prices, so only four stars, but we had a great holiday and will gladly go back

Yes what do you have to say about it. Beautiful park I let be positive, but for this money and with the covid virus to open a park where you can do little or nothing. Swimming Swim 1.5 hours a day and swim 3 hours in total all weekend. We knew in advance, but still strange that you can book several days in the app.

I can only say 1 thing, during covid don't do this. It is too limited what can and is allowed in the park. Again understandable but just keep the park closed or lower your prices.

Old houses, neglected and dirty! Swimming pool etc is okay! Restaurants are quite expensive

much overdue maintenance. day without heating and hot water. same half of lighting. I don't think this is recommended.

Very nice for families, but way too expensive. My daughter has 4 children. For a weekend (two nights) lost 675.00 euros.

Great park good facilities everything by appointment swimming a bit short 1 1/2 hours per day per house but doable

in the evening the road is very poorly lit and has no or poor signage

Had a great weekend in this house. You really feel like you're in the middle of a forest. The other houses are pretty close, but it doesn't bother you.

Super nice pool only the hygiene could be better. Very cozy house only smelled when we entered very musty, while a cleaning crew had just stopped by. Beautiful environment.

Spacious, car-free park with sufficient facilities (Jungle Dome, Aqua mundo, ...). The cottages are due for renovation. Well located for excursions in NL-Limburg or just across the border in Germany (Xanten, ...)

There are enough opportunities for the children to keep themselves occupied. Aquadome and the jungle are quite beautiful. The outdoor facilities are also well designed compared to other parcs. Only the houses are very old. The toilets could well be refurbished after decades.
What bothers us about the price is that you have to clean the toilet and bathroom yourself on arrival. From long hair in the Wann to the dirty toilet. We were here for the third time and always had the same problems. Well, you have to make friends with.

We have been to Centerpark several times now, it has always been good, but this time we have been hard hit. We had premium, so a little better. In the bungalow interior lining of the fridge did not exist, fireplace side window also not available, that should be repaired. In the 2-bedroom bungalow the closet is not, even for one person too small, as good as no counter space. Restaurantes all ok, except for the all you can eat (value for money absolutely bad, for 34 euros per person very little selection and nothing special, hardly any meat, that should be shunned. Too bad that we were so out of this world

We have been to many holiday homes. We have never moved into such a dirty house. Under the beds the legacies of the predecessors spiderweb from the ceiling, mattresses sagged

Houses are somewhat dated, but cozy. Was not completely clean properly. Swimming pool is great, the green slide is nice and fast and quite long. Pool of hut huts is a bit more extensive and larger. Friendly staff in the hospitality industry, walking buffet at Evergreen is well arranged and again very friendly and helpful staff. For my daughter who has gluten intolerance, very good and nice help. Should actually give 5 stars, but the house that was not clean is important to me.

Jungle Cabanas are located in a dome, with jungle sounds, bats, beautiful birds and monkey bridges for children and adults. Cozy self-BBQ with family. Breakfast in baskets with the room.

Great park, but expensive hospitality and facilities everywhere. Extremely busy in the pool during vacations so that swimming pleasure is far to be found. Staff are friendly and attentive but do not have much time for you due to (too) many visitors.

Got pretty down. Unfortunately not like it used to be. We also had to wait two hours longer for our VIP house because it was not yet completely cleaned. With family of course pretty stupid. In the Aqua Mundo it was more than full, unbelievable, we knew something like that from TV when the Chinese were all in the swimming pool. It also felt that there wasn't enough staff for the crowd. The jungle dome was nice. Overall, the price-performance ratio was unfortunately not right. We heard that this park should be renovated next year.
We also lacked grill cutlery and a grill. All remote controls were missing batteries.
We did not use the sauna for hygienic reasons. See photos.

Would we go to this park again ... Maybe after good reviews after 2020.

The facilities are really nice but it is all really in need of renovation. The houses may also be cleaned better!
