We love Carowinds! We bought season passes even though we live 3 hours away. We visit at least once a month. The all day dining plan is a great deal! And this cirque show is simply amazing and at no extra cost!

Well I wasnt feeling good when I got here so I had my friends go ahead but the staff was very caring and keep making sure I was ok and I found my entertainment from watching the bloody butcher at fleet or flint street everything looked fun and clean

Normally it's a great time, but today they needed WAY more people working BEFORE people entered the park. We got there at 11 am, an hour after the park opened, and it took us AT LEAST 20 min to get to the gate where you pay for parking, and there were no season pass holder exclusive lines. The last entrance on the left wasnt open, but they didnt block it so people were driving up and then cutting in (or trying to) which delayed it even more. Then when you got to the entrance lines, there was ONE person directing people. So many people were looking to get passes renewed or set up for the first time and they had terrible signage and again, no help out there directing people. Last year they had this massive room with 15-20 different stations to take pictures/get passes, this year it was a tiny room with 3 people! But what you didnt know was that you could also do that at the regular lines...well, at least until you got to the ONE person who was directing people. It was just very poorly run today. I'm hoping this was an anomaly, but if it's like this all season and they keep raising prices, I can find other places to spend my money.

So much fun! The water park has a lot of choices for all ages, rides for all ages, the Peanuts live shows for kids are well done, and so many choices of places to eat! We got season passes this year to cut down on the costs so we've been able to go back multiple times to get it all in without rushing through all the fun.

We had a blast! Fun for everyone. It was rather crowded, which is to be expected at an amusement park. The lines to get in did move fairly quickly however. There are plenty of ride options for every age group and thrill level. Food choices are abundant as well. My only complaint would be the restrooms, very gross. I would suggest using the restrooms in the restaurants as they were a little cleaner than the others. We spent the entire day here and no one complained in a group that consisted of 4 adults and 4 children. Will definitely be returning.

We had one employee tell us we were in the right line to buy tickets, turns out we waited almost an hour just to get put in another line to buy tickets. We were completely miss informed!

We went at the end of August and it was a boring experience. The rides weren't bad, they were average and expected. However, most of their food places, extra games, etc. were closed. After riding a few rides, there was nothing to do. It felt like a waste of money. We came all the way from Missouri and from the sound of it, we thought it was going to be quite the experience. It wasn't terrible, it just seemed like we were cheated on a lot of the experience. Lots of fun rides for all ages though and the food was delicious! I love that they offer Dippin' Dots since they're my favorite. Buying the unlimited refills drink cup online at the discounted price before attending is definitely a great idea.

Carowinds is just as fun as ever my family and I have been coming here since I was in the 1st grade. Now I am continuing the tradition bringing my children here first fun during spring break and summer. The season passes are more than reasonably priced. For the price of two tickets you can get in to the park all season. Carowinds has done an excellent job staying up to times with their upgrades to rides and food vendors. To the true thrill seekers I fully recommend not leaving the park before riding Fury 325. I am as adventurous as they come when it comes to coasters, however o was truly humbled by the 81 degree drop and 95 mph speed. After I got off my legs were wobbly and I wasn't sure if I'd be up to riding again. If you are looking for a amusement park to visits then look no further, this park has something for everyone.

Came here last spring the park is very clean and upkeept for a park in the Carolinas pretty midern with sizable attractions and coasters for adults young adults and yes some for the younger children. Miss the Waynes World displays and tributes they had to The Waynes World movies, we thought that was good thing have by tying in the movies like Universal Studios does.

It is a nice park. The layout could be a little better but I really liked how they have three different entrances. They have a large water park with many slides. It would be nice if they had more water rides at the regular park. They have a white water ride though it spins a little bit too much for me. No flue ride or open boat shoot ride.

The Christmas at Carowinds is a nice time. Lots of displays and lights. Good variety of food to choose from. They have a few of the roller coasters operational and the kiddie rides are open. Only issue was how crowded it was.

Super fun but everything extra there is expensive accept for the games and stuff. But things like food and souvenirs will dedinitlet burn a whole in your wallet. It's really fun though. So for this reason I'll give it a rating of 4 out of 5 stars.

Fun filled amusement park! I ve been coming since I was 11 years old, I also came here with all my friends after high school graduation to celebrate. Had so much fun we lost track of time. We spent all day here till closing time. We also love coming to Scarewinds very thrilling! If you plan on coming more than once I ll recommend getting the season pass, you get Access to Scarewinds and Winterfest. Can t wait till the park re-opens to visit during the summer for the water park!

Wow. All the rides were great but Fury 325 and Nighthawk are amazing rides. This is a very modern theme park, very clean and characters are always around. Everything you need to get your day started is right at the entrance. Cedar Fair keeps pushing towards greater levels.

We have season passes and have had them for about four years. This season by far has been the best. We took the family out to Winter Fest tonite and boy let me tell you if you went last year don t hesitate to come this year. It a different experience. There s mores and hot chocolate there s cakes and cookies and ham and turkey there s kettle corn and roasted cinnamon pecan and almonds and cashews. When I say they went all out they did. They arranged the park more open so you don t feel like your crowded. The lites were amazing and there are so many things that you little ones can do. Like write to Santa Clause or make a Christmas decoration, ride in carriage, make Christmas cookies. There is so many thing I m leaven out, but if you want to have fun enjoy a nite with the family this is the place to be. Keep in mine a trip to Winterfest and a day at Carowinds is about the same value as a season pass so why not get one and enjoy them all year that s why we got passes.

All the thrill rides are worth going. Fury 325 is good as advertised. Better at night with all the green lighting with it. Especially going under the tunnel. Fast lane tickets are a must because every ride has about a 60 min wait time. After burn is a sleeper ride. Not as fast but just as good as the rest. Had to upgrade to the gold pass!

Worth a season pass! Carowinds is one of the most expensive amusement parks I ve been too that s not Disney World or Universal Studios but it is definitely worth the season pass which is really reasonably priced. Less wait times than most parks, more food options, water park, nice guest services, reasonable locker prices, and the tallest roller coaster in the US.

Travelled 2 1/2 hours to celebrate our son's graduation at what we thought was still an awesome amusement park. Wow, gone downhill since our last visit several years ago. Several rides closed, over and above the ones that were scheduled to be closed, not worth near what we paid. Only half the shops were open. Big disappointment.

People complaining about the price to get in is tripping go to Disneyland and World it cost $75 To get in and in the summertime lines are anyway where from 1 to 2 hours long. This place is excellent price to get in it's was $200 for 5 people that's a deal Disneyland for 5 people is over $350 easy don't forget park tax at Disneyland . Money shouldn't be the problem you getting to spend time with your kid's and family. That's the most important thing not what it cost and if you take vacation you already know the price so why complaining after you left

I enjoy going to Carowinds except for a couple of things. Toddlers are very limited to what they can ride even with adult supervision and their are very few rides for them. So in my opinion, Carowinds is definitely not 100% family oriented more like 95% (just a guess, not an accurate percentage) And they need a 3rd entrance between the 2 existing entrances, since they don't have a tram, trolley, or shuttle bus. It can be an extremely long walk especially if it's South Carolina hot outside. It can be a miserable hike to one of the entrances. But other than that it can be pretty fun as long as it isn't crowded especially for teenagers and young adults. Even for us older adults that are young at heart...lol. if you're on a budget. Pack a cooler with food and drinks, because the food and drinks inside the park are expensive. Remember, no coolers can be taken into the park, so it might be a long walk for dinner. The ice water is free, thank you Carowinds for that. No pocket knives, weapons, or spray's can be taken into the park, so leave them in the car or home. You will be checked for them. I could go on and on but Carowinds has a website that you can check for all of the park rules, picnic shelters and such.

This is one of the worst amusement parks I have EVER been to in my life! I paid 136 for family of 4 at 216 pm AND not once did they tell me during that time that the Rides are down do to weather. My kids stood in line for 2 rides and by 415, all rides where canceled, NO information passed until they were in each line. That itself is horrible service!

Park was good, water park was ok comparing to other water parks. Parking is a disaster.. Staff was very nice and knowledgeable. Food and drinks proved like every other park.
Parking is a disaster.. Basically a race to get where you can. Cars driving in every direction through the parking lot. They need to take notes from Dollywood and it would be so much better.

I went on opening day. It was crowded but lines were moving...no longer than a 20 minute wait time. Its not disney or universal but its still a good theme park, and the food is beyond EXPENSIVE!

Awesome park and cant say enough about the rides. Hated the souvenir bottles they are 20$ at the park and 16$ online and are very badly constructed. They dont stay put in the strollers and thats the last thing you want when you are with kids is stuff falling of.
We went on a very hot day so bring some shades with you like a cap or an umbrella lol. My head was burnt in the sun.
Food is not crazy expensive, it s actually priced just right. If you are going with kids or toddlers you can take their snacks and bottles without a problem. I got to take it so im not sure if it was just me or other parents were lucky too.
You can also bring an empty bottle with you and fill it up with water at almost any place where food is offered.
Have lots of fun and make the most out of your money!

Carowinds is amazing! I went yesterday with some friends, and it was a very fun experience. This was my second, but definitely not last time going. I went maybe 5 years ago, and back then I was not a fan of roller coasters. There were not many attractions other than kid rides for non-thrill seekers, so I will say that if you are not up for it, maybe Carowinds is not the best fit for you. But I will say that Carowinds does have many great world-class roller coasters that make going worth it. The Fury 325, Intimidator, Nighthawk, Afterburn, and the Copperhead Strike are all great thrill rides. The service at the park is great as well! While waiting in line for most rides, there were fans or covered areas to keep you comfortable. I went on the Fury, and it was a very fun ride. The wait time was not bad, but I do suggest you get a fast pass. They may be a bit extra, but if you want to make the most of your day and ride all the rides then I highly recommend it. It is also very cool how the park is built on the North Carolina and South Carolina State line, so some of the coasters go over both states. The food was a little overpriced, so I recommend to eat before you go, or bring snacks of your own. But overall, Carowinds is a great park. With the relatively low pricing, the great rides and the water park, Carowinds is definitely worth it.

First time going yesterday I had a blast!!!!!!!!!! I just wish it was more selections of foods on the dine in all day plan when you have the dine in all day plan they choose the food for you.

Good park, but it was better in 2013: today: slow dispatch, a lot attractions going down during the day -> but after a while back open, the operation crew looks not so happy, between the coasters carowinds is piling up debris, this is so sad, lucky we had the presidential promotion with free fast lane plus...

Good everything.

Good everything.
Kids and parents has something to make them happy.
The price little bit

I'm smiling typing this while reliving the moments on the Fury 325! Wow, this place really knocks it out of the park! Good Food, helpful staff, and the funnest thrill rides around!!!

If you enjoy rollercoaster rides, this park will have more than enough to satisfy you. Other attractions definitely exist, but the roller coasters are by far the biggest draw. And rightly so.

This amusement park gets better every year. Each of my kids has their own favorite spot here. Personally, the Fury325 is the greatest coaster I've been on in over a decade. The water park is amazing. The kids park has been upgraded and is fantastic. The character appearances are always fun. Food is excellent. Great place!
