It's fun when can get multiple rides in. Sucks when overcrowded, the wait for rides are extremely long. Rides are fun though!

Getting better every year. Some dead zones that could use a refresh but they are working on it. The Fury is as good as advertised for sure. Probably 2 thrill rides away from being a big time draw beyond the region. The water park is already great with expansion in progress.

Awesome theme park. One of the best theme parks I've been too.

I am very disappointed in the way Carowinds handled the situation on Saturday, August 18, 2018. I arrived, after driving for 3 hours, at about 6:30 pm. The person who came with me stays about 4 hours away. The person at the ticket line took our tickets, scanned them, ripped them, then proceeded to tell us that the rides were closed due to an incoming storm. He immediately sent us to the service line once we had a problem with that. We stood in the line for an hour 1/2 as it rained off and on. After finally making it to the counter. She told us that not only can we not get our money back but we have to get a ticket that only has 4 pm admission and can only use it in the next 2 weeks. The people at the computer beside us received a full refund. We did not ride a single ride. We basically paid to stand in a line for a 1 1/2 getting wet. We have been trying to contact them since, calling several times, only to get a "We will call/email you back". This should have been handled better and no one should have taken tickets from anyone for them to waste their money. As I stated before, I drove for 3 hours. I will not be going back to Carowinds.

Great place! Love the roller-coasters! The fast passes are a good deal if your going on a busy day!

When your done with the roller-coasters, go check out the waterpark!!

The only downside is the quality of the food, that I wouldn't rate very high!

Great amusement park!!! The staff was very friendly and helpful! The park had a good variety of different attractions for the whole family! The food variety was great also! I would definitely buy the drink pass.

Perfect size park with tolerable wait times. Concessions could use more attention but definitely a better overall experience than Six Flags. Also of note is the cleanliness of the park including the restrooms.

Lots of rides from high thrill coasters to the more tame. Drink refill deal is worth it on hot days. A bit of trouble finding the entrance to some of the rides. Other than that, great place.

I went as a guest of my granddaughter. I took my great grand daughter, her daughter is similar in age. I think they had the best time ever. Hope to go back soon

To start off we purchased all of our tickets online. This included the parking pass, the tickets to the park, and the fast lane PLUS passes. Everything went seamlessly.
We arrived at the park at about quarter to 10 a.m., which is opening time. Our parking pass was scanned and we pulled into the parking lot and I actually found some shade from a small tree to park our car underneath. We loaded up and went to the front gate and showed our printed out tickets after going through the security check which was done quickly and efficiently.
Once our tickets were accepted, we went over to the FAST LANE PLUS picked up our wristbands for the day. Our visit was on July 1st and even though the park wasn't super crowded that day, we estimate that the FAST LANE PLUS pass over the course of the day saved as close to five hours of waiting in line. The cost is obscene, but it's actually worth every penny. If this sounds like an advertisement for FAST LANE PLUS then YES it is. It helped our family so much to stay together in the park at all times.
Personally no one in our group would have cared to go to Carowinds without the FAST LANE PLUS passes. We loved all the rides that we went on, camp Snoopy was a blast and we enjoyed the water park although we didn't do a whole lot in the water park.
We spent most of our time on the fury, Copperhead, nighthawk, and the intimidator.
We had a very leisurely day leaving the park between 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. to go to our hotel to eat, shower, and take a nap. Even with being out of the park for that many hours and spending quite a bit of time in the water park probably an hour and a half, we were able to ride roller coasters 18 times during our day.
Since I'm quite old, 18 rides on those roller coasters is quite enough for me and actually everyone in our group. I could see being a young teenager and getting upwards of 25 to 30 rides in a day with FAST LANE PLUS.
So I guess what I'm saying is purchase your parking, Park ticket, and the FAST LANE PLUS ticket online and you will have a great and fun day. By the way my personal favorite might be the nighthawk or the intimidator it's a toss-up between those two.

There are many good rides here with amazing staff like Fury 325 and Intimidator, but the main reason I came was to try the Copperhead Strike and it was down all day. No one knew anything, and every time you would ask an employee they would say its stuck at the second take off and that was it. Some people waited for an hour before finally deciding to get out of the line, so that was kind of a big deal. Many of the rides are consistently malfunctioning which is scary like NIghthawk, I waited in line and it went down so I went to something else and two hours later came back and it was up and running but while I was in line it went back down again. Electrospin never opened. Windseeker was shut down due to severe weather in the area, but it was down the whole time I was there for 8 hours and it was sunny and warm today, so I am not sure what that was about.
There are really great staff members that are here, but then some of them are just awful and rude. I had food vouchers that came with my ticket (Funday bundle) and at the burrito eatery spot they had no idea what to do with it, and right next door where you get funnel cakes the cashier was so rude asking me to pay for it while I was speaking with the gentleman telling him what I wanted on top of it.
Communication is golden and they really really really need to work on that.
I guess this place is a hit or miss, because when I went 2 years ago I had a great experience.

Awesome amusement park and great water park! Really nice on a hot day to do half the day riding rides and the rest cooling off at the water park. Even better if you park at the water park entrance. We didn't have much of a wait to get inside compared to the front gate. My 5 year old loved the Dinosaurs exhibit. We had to walk it 2 times. The Prek season pass is a wonderful idea to get families to come to the park. We can't wait to go again!

The only thing I hated was the very long long lines for the rides and our clothes got ruined when we put them in the locker at the water park. And too many flies at the blue ridge kitchen

My parents always used to bring me and my siblings to the park and love it since birth and very beautiful and the atmosphere is different every time you go there

We love Carowinds.. was raining this day we went .. but.. in many past experiences of going to Carowinds we love it... We have fun and the place is easy to negotiate.. the prices are reasonable compared to other parks and we will continue to come here... Highly Recommend

It started raining as soon as we got there and they wouldn't refund us our money back and telling them that most of our guest were from Europe, didn't change their hearts nor mind.... They couldn't get tickets for later, because they were all going back home and only come once a year!!! One was a reporter back home and plans on doing a story on how badly we were treated and how soaked they were, eventually becoming ill from it, after returning home next day... I had bragged on Carowinds about how great they were, well I will NEVER brag on it again!!!

What can i say.. is just amazing.. u wanna have a gun day just visit.. my favd thijg is the circus shos they have defn u should check it out if u are there

Just did scarowinds for the first time and it was great. Have an 8 and 10 year old. They have 6 haunted mazes and they were all very well done.

Love coming to Carowinds with the family! They have added so much to do in the last couple of years with new roller coasters and new water park equipment. We live hours away but that doesn't stop us from having season passes and utilizing them to the fullest!

One of the best theme parks i've ever been too. The beautiful entrance and Fury going over it is quite reminiscent of Gatekeeper at Cedar Point. On the topic of Fury 325, what an amazing ride, out of the two giga coasters i've been on, this was the better of the two. Carowinds also has a great lineup of coasters like Fury 325, Afterburn, Copperhead Strike, and Intimidator. Personally Fury was the best.

Of course with any amusement park the food is overpriced and they let way too many people in!!

There is something for everyone here! So much fun made me feel like a kid again!

This place is so much fun. I especially like the drop slide where you lose your footing and you feel like you're being transported through a wormhole.

Super fun but lines are really long and food is super overpriced. But other than that it is great and I totally recommend a season pass.

It's an amusement park with really good rides. My friend and I did the Fast Pass, which was pretty dang pricey, but getting right on all the rides was pretty excellent. Really a fun place. Highly recommended!

Great rides, very clean and a nice water park. A lot of fun for everyone! There's something for everyone to do.

I go weekly faithfully and doubt I will change from it.

It has been nearly 20 years since I visited Carowinds. I enjoyed my time here, but was surprised to see so many rides shut down. We didn't have the chance to ride half of the rides due to them being shut down. This does not encourage me to pay the prices to return. The other suggestion I have is to work on the grounds, in terms of cleanliness. The bathrooms were not clean and the walkways were littered with trash. Maybe my recent trip to another theme park spoiled me, but I do hope this is something that concerns the park and that they'll work to improve upon the situation.

Extremely fun for the family, but quite pricey , you may want to bring your own food and drinks or leave to eat before you come back.

We ve been coming to Carowinds for over 10 years and we love it

Been going here for about 30 yrs now . Awesome place to enjoy all kinds of rides . Love the roller coasters . One thing though we haven't played the games or road the bumper cars for years . Since I have my own Daughters . I've notice certain areas have nasty little thugs crowding up together trying to hit on your Girls instead of doing their jobs . But If you pay attention and stay away from those areas you will always have a great time . Just saying

Lots of lights. They advertise snow, but very few machines . The food and all other conveniences are very pricey.
All in all a good experience.

We have gold card and family was denied admission citing food and beverage policy. There is no reference of any policy section on entire website about food and beverage policy. After inquiry the guest services informed about vague mention in FAQ's but does not describe how people with allergies will be helped. I am a diabetic and my daughter is allergic to almost all meat based products. Further, I have been admitted to the park 5 times this year and never told about this strange policy about parks not allowing customers to bring their own food. The security guard constantly citing reasons as website and there is no mention in any policy of being denying admission for bringing own food.

This place is the best and my family always gets silver and gold passes every year I recommend you do the same its a great family place and don't even get me started on the rides and water park but overall just go there to try it out!

I recently went to Carowinds for the first time and I had a blast!

The facilities are well kept and the bathrooms were extremely clean. There are several restaurants in the park and plenty of concession stands. We went on a chilly day so the park was mostly empty and the lines were quick! Even with the cold weather, we were too busy with all the rides to notice. The Afterburn is one of my personal favorites and if you love thrills the Fury 325 is a must! The staff were great and they made sure our safety was of the utmost priority.

Loved Carowinds, can't wait to come back!!

Went for Scarowinds... I wasn t frightened ever but my friends got their head rates up.

It s pricey but a fun time as a group.

I really enjoyed seeing all of the employees dressed up and interacting with visitors. They seemed to be having more fun and happier during Scarowinds then during regular admission. For me, that was worth the trip and admission.

Actually I've never been here. My kids frequently go. Great water park.

Our group had a great time! The staff is friendly and the first aid workers are awesome! I love that we can get free water to fill our water bottles at all restaurants

Took my kids for their birthdays, they loved it. We can't wait to go back!

Staff are nice. There s a nice line up of coasters. There s kiddey coasters to a giga, one of five in the world. A great experience overall.

This park is always changing which is better than the same ole stuff. The food is typical amusement park food. It isn't bad but we had great service which made it enjoyable. Early mornings are typically less people so kids can enjoy rides without the long wait. We go in the fall every year which weather is cooler but several snack stations and drink stands are closed. Overall it gets better every year.

Overall great experience! Clean, friendly staff and fun concerts and events taking place all the time.
