Stay away! Would not recommend, office management has terrible customer service, rude, and inconsiderate. They are not helpful at all. Money hungry complex and charges for everything. Never provide solutions to any issues or problems. The only helpful person is Cherrell.

Absolutely gorgeous apartments, breath taking, i went with my sister to view these apartments HOMES, they dont have Washer and dryer but, they do have a company that will let you rent them out..the problem was after reading the reviews it was just too many car breakins, but if they ever get this property gated it will be one of Charlottes BEST...
Worst. Management. Ever. Lived there for over a year, community itself was moderate at best. When my roommate and I moved out, the assistant manager gave us a specific number as to what was owed on the apartment (in writing), then contacted us months later threatening to send us to collections for our unpaid balance . When we addressed it with the management team, they completely ignored our questions. They should be embarrassed by the unprofessional behavior.
I just wanted to highlight the good experience I had with city parks staff. So many times we rush to tell about the negative experiences & not so much the great ones. I was really overwhelmed yesterday with my move in. I worked with a leasing agent who was really new so Ive been there before. I wasn't pleased with the apartment I applied for. It didn t have the same look set up & certain features of the model I looked at. The city park staff allowed me to view different apartments & choose one that was more of what I was looking for & on the desired floor I wanted to stay on. They even stayed a little late after hours. So for that I am beyond appreciative! Thanks to the general manager & account manager Chantel that made it happen!
I went apartment shopping and Gina Garrett was great .. she was very helpful and knowledgeable ... ask for Gina if you need an apartment ..she was great
I've lived here for about 3 months now and my experience has been mediocre at best. I moved in July 2018 to an absolutely FILTHY apartment. Black sludge in my fridge, hair in both of my bathrooms, I killed over 55 flies in the first 2 days of living here, marks and dents on every wall, 4 wasps nests on my balcony, blue and yellow dye all over my kitchen island, broken window, grease stains, and a wide open utility/water heater closet. I was told by the less then helpful staff at the leasing office there was nothing they could do for me until Monday...so I personally scrubbed my entire apartment the same day I moved in. Come Monday, they did send out a cleaning group and contractor. The following Wednesday they sent an exterminator to address the fly and wasp issue. They prorated my August rent due to the amount of issues/unlivable conditions I moved into which was GREATLY appreciated. However, they never cleared out the leftover rent from my resident portal which of course triggered a late payment. After 4 emails to the manager and 3 trips into the office between August 4th - September 11th, talking with 3 different staff members it was corrected.
Come September, I found a leak above my dryer in the laundry room, that was growing by the day. I immediately submitted a service request and followed up in person the next day. The maintenance man came out one time and I didn't see him again for another two weeks... until I yet again called multiple times and walked into the office demanding someone fix the leak! I saw black sludge come out of the hole where the leak was which I assume is mold but the maintenance supervisor assured me "its not mold its fungi"....I googled it while he was at my apartment and showed him the results that MOLD IS A TYPE OF FUNGI. He said no its not mold but that he would take care of it.
The valet trash gets taken maybe once or twice a week when they are supposed to come Sunday-Thursday. I follow every guideline they give about acceptable trash but still he leaves the bag. Not a big deal for me to walk my trash out to the compactor but don't charge me extra per month for a service I am not even benefiting from.
I've lived in two other apartments in Charlotte and have NEVER encountered this kind of lackadaisical staff. They fired almost everyone in the leasing office, brought in corporate, and even still if you talk with one of them you 9 times out of 10 have to follow up again because they don't communicate with each other and often your requests are forgotten about. (i.e. clearing my resident portal, my window is still broken from July when I moved in and its September, my leak above the dryer that took 2 weeks to even be looked at).
If you are a professional this is the place to live. The Charlotte Coliseum district location is close Belk, Vanguard, Sealed Air, AT&T Corp, Walmart Corp, Lash Group. The units would be AMAZING at twice the rent and the staff is 5-Star... I am a raving fan.
I haven t even moved in yet and have been lied to and disregarded by management. The online application had a cheaper price than what was quoted to me by Kelsey (leasing agent). Before paying my $200 admin fee and $60 application fee I wanted to confirm that I would be quoted the cheaper price showing online. Of course I was told that it would be taken care of and I ll be paying the lower rent because it s able to be changed on her end. However after paying my $260 and being approved for my apartment I was called and quoted the higher price. After speaking to the manager Jodi Nelson and advising her how I was just blatantly lied to, she told me because I have no proof of this conversation, there s nothing she can do. This experience has been unbelievable and unprofessional and it s just beginning. DO NOT MOVE HERE!!!!!!!!
This is my initial review based solely off the fact that I have literally been calling all day (during my breaks between patients) and can NOT get ANY ONE on the phone! It's ridiculous! Thanks for the first impression I needed without even having to speak to anyone, as I usually reserve that after seeing how the first conversation goes. I'll take my business and pursue options at other properties in the area.
I moved here last month... everything is great. But one incident happened. So, the leasing office has a policy, so if you are referred by someone they give a referral money to the person. I put my the name of the person in the form by whom I was referred to this community. But it somehow got changed to the cityparkview community. Result: that person didn t got the referral money. It felt kind of weird to me. Is this happened with anybody??
I currently live here and I am only a few months into my second year. Communication with residents is a huge issue for this property. I should have seen the red flags when we re in the signing process and the agent taking care of our lease waited until after we signed the lease to let us know there were minor issues with our paperwork. No one ever answers the phone in the leasing office, their hours are standard work hours so if you have a job it s impossible to actually go into the leasing office to get help for anything, and they never respond to emails. If any kind of property maintenance is going on you usually only get 24 hours notice. Just this morning I called in 10 times between 10am and 11:30am because I had not received a response on an urgent email allowing permission for my roommate to pick up a package in my place because, again, I have a job and cannot make it to the leasing office during their open hours. This is not the first time this has happened. On two occasions we had issues with the office turning away the third party washer/dryer maintenance personnel (whom CPVS connected us with). We provided the correct written documentation and requested a reply upon receipt, which we did not get, and the workers were turned away leaving us without a functioning washer for one month.
Overall. The staff is inattentive to residents needs and turns a cold shoulder to feedback.
Do not live here. The apartments are over priced and cheaply made. The walls are so thin I can hear my neighbor's phone vibrate in their bedroom. The area is EXTREMELY UNSAFE. There were dozens of car breaks-ins during the year I was there and even a car jacking in the parking lot. The fitness center is a joke, the pool is constantly closed for "chemical imbalances", and the area smells of sulfur because Renesance Park (right next door) is built over a landfill. The leasing office management is rude and unwilling to work with you at all. They will cut you no breaks what so ever even when their office made a mistake. They will nickel and dime you as much as possible and even throw bogus trash charges if your valet trash is "too heavy". Do yourself a favor and do not sign here.
My experience in one word...SUPERCALIFRAGILISTICEXPIALIDOCIOUS! We will all have opinions, I have enjoyed and appreciated the time I lived here...the office team was...no IS.. phenomenal. I felt more like I was a part of a family than a tenant, not a number but a person. My toddler LOVES it here!!!
The team at CPV make this property a winner.....
P.S. I enjoyed the amenities tremendously as well!!!!!
The whole move in process was aggravating and so called "management" didn't inform me of needed documents until the move in day. The day my lease was up and I was finally able to move out, it was a holiday and the office was closed, so I couldn't return the keys and left them in the apartment, and even though I contacted them via email, and phone that day... they said I would owe an extra day and a late fee! If you like dusty construction noise and a lack of grass and peace and quiet.. then this is your place.
This society is great for living. You have hiking trail nearby. Pool and gym are kept clean all the time. Maintenance service is pretty quick. Leasing stuff is friendly and helpful. Love the apartment and the society.
City Park view is an excellent place to live! It is in a very safe place, has nice restaurants and coffee shops near by, and has extremely reasonable rent. It is also incredibly close to a number of corporate parks, is right down the road from a Wal-Mart, and has great amenities within the complex itself.
We secured a corporate 2 b/b apartment plus 2 garages and from application to our first maint. ticket, everyone has been great! Moreover, the maint. team member Tim has been excellent in supporting us! Especially after locking our opener in the garage--additionally, the front office has been helpful in providing a variety of referrals. Finally, the apartment is fantastic! Absolutely would refer anyone to CityPark.
I wish I could give a better review, but I can t. BEYOND disappointed. I ve been a resident here for almost 3 years, and this staff could care less about their residents. The sad part about this is that I love my actual apartment and the community, but I would highly discourage anyone to move here simply because of the staff. Emails will go unanswered for weeks and communication is horrible. I wanted to be understandable during the pandemic and extend grace bc they are essential workers, but it goes beyond that when they completely ignore correspondence when you need assistance. THIS is what drives residents to become irate and confrontational because you don t get the assistance you need by being nice.
I have been very pleased with how responsive everyone is here and with how well the grounds are kept. We have been here for 2 years and have not had any complaints. I do want to thank Tim for being active and quick regarding maintenance issues, as well as the whole maintenance team!
I decided to write a review after reading some of the laughable comments on here. I lived in CityPark View last year and loved the experience. I had some issues with the bathroom plumbing and some light fixtures. The staff was helpful and upon calling the office everything was fixed within two weeks. While it was not attended to right away, I understood that other complaints were being worked on and the world does not revolve around me.
Really safe area, no idea where the "car break-ins" some reviewer mentioned came from since I never heard nor experienced anything like it. In fact I parked my newly purchased car on one of the streets behind my apartment complex and slept like a baby, no worries whatsoever.
This is honestly one of the best places I have lived at. I do encourage people considering living here to take a tour and draw their own conclusions. It is not as bad as some say.
Visited the 2 bedroom unit they had open. There was a spot in the floor in the middle of the kitchen where the subfloor was broken under the vinyl. Your foot sank into the floor when you stepped there. My experience in the office wasn't fabulous either. The gal I spoke with was pretty new. I had questions she couldn't answer. The senior staffer there told me she would be with me in a couple minutes to answer my questions. 10 later, she was still busy. I got up and walked out. They had all my contact info but no one bothered to take the initiative to call me or email me. I consider their offering overpriced for the quality delivered.
CityPark View South is amazing but just as important they have an amazing staff. Cherrelle always made me feel like she had the time for my million questions as well as the number of times she toured me and my family to ensure that this was the right move for us. I am so appreciative for her care and concern. I cannot wait to move in!
CityPark View is home to some of the most beautiful apartments and management seems to invest a lot in its landscape, as the grounds are very well maintained. The fitness centers were adequate and I enjoyed using them often. I personally had pleasant interactions with all of the leasing specialists and never experienced any rude behavior from anyone. I feel compelled to give 3 stars because of the fire alarm system that randomly goes off. During my one-year stay the fire alarms have went off about 3 or 4 times, once in the middle of the night for no reason and the fire department had to come out. There were never any fires; the system seemed to be faulty. This terrified my child who has sensory issues, and for the remainder of our stay they had problems sleeping alone. Also, the water does not get "hot," but only "warm." After a short amount of time the warm water turns cold. I was never able to enjoy a hot bath or shower during my stay, which was frustrating. I also think that the apartments should come with a washer and dryer for what you pay in rent. When it was time to renew, the proposed increase in rent wasn't too much but I could not justify paying very close to $1400/month in rent for an apartment that had no washer/dryer, no hot water, and fire alarms that randomly went off whenever they wanted.
I have lived at this community for 2 years. When my roommate decided not to renew his lease, I decided to stay in this community because it's nice and it's safe. However, when I went to sign a new lease I asked if I would have to pay another pet fee and deposit or any other fees. I was told I would not have to do that.
Since then I was told I would have to pay 3 different fees on three different occasions. I was told I would have to pay a transfer fee of $500 even though I am completing my current lease agreement in full and for the full term. When I said I wouldn't pay this because I am completing my lease they said okay. A few days later I was told you'll have to pay a roommate release fee of $100. When I said I wouldn't pay this they said okay. Then today I was told I would have to pay a lease term fee of $150 because I am on two leases. I told them yet again I wouldn't pay because that makes no sense and I was told to my face that I owed no additional fees other than my rent. If you want to consider living here, do so at your own risk. Just RUN, RUN, RUN AWAY!!!!
I just left this place in search of a new place to call home. The office was full and no other people were in there. I asked the lady if she had time to do a tour. We followed her to her office and she took my information and needs. She then pulled out 2 print out floor plans and let me look over them ........ I was confused but looked over them. Was I suppose to say what a beautiful paper !?!? If Im going to be committing to a place I would at least like to look at what Im getting for $1300 dollars. Any who it was a no for me.
Very good looking complex and apartments, but the counter tops are not granite or any kind of stone which brings the look down, and no washer and dryer unless you rent it, big deal breaker for me.
Great location, awesome amenities, quiet community. We received excellent customer service from Kelsey, and would recommend City Park View to all my friends and family. Really took the stress out of finding a new home closer to my new job, thank you!
I love my apartment and the community. The maintenance staff are friendly and quick. The office staff are always nice and a pleasure to work with especially Chantel and Cherrell. They truly make a difference and care.
The absolute WORST front office staff. No customer service skills whatsoever. They never answer the phones, respond to emails, or complete maintenance requests on time. Do not recommend!
I am Current Resident staying in one Townhomes. We lived here for more than 3 years and had Car break-ins 3 times. Rent is lot more than one can pay for a Town home with tiny bedrooms and no extra space. I wish they resolve the Issue with Break-ins rather than expanding or making it a commercial place.
My boyfriend moved in here last December against my advice and I wish he would have taken it. Stood in the lobby for 20 minutes before we were acknowledged and waited an hour for our rep to text rather than show us the place. There are much cheaper and just as nice options along Tyvola, but the move in special was appealing.
Living here is nice if you never need help or assistance of any kind. Management is AWFUL. There have been multiple robberies and thefts in the past month to the point where you can t get pizza delivered unless you confirm you re at a certain designation first. There have been no notices or advisory s from management on any of this increase in crime. Their hours are extremely limited and no one will call you back if you leave your number for after hours service, there is no way to leave a message.
Only one pool is open, even on the hottest days. At that one pool, both grills are not even working, they haven t for the past two weeks. I m visiting my boyfriend for the week and his key FOB for amenities access hasn t worked since Friday. Maintenance helped us out with access on the weekend as it was 84 degrees and fully loaded with people by 11am this Sunday and the office doesn t even open until 1. While he s at work today, I went into the office to get the key fixed. A friendly girl not only apologized, but quickly tried to reprogram the key for me. I walked back to his place and got my pool materials, only to realize once again that the key FOB did not work. I took a walk down to the office again and waited for the attention of what I now know is the assistant manager, Imrah. I explained the situation to her and she asked for my apartment number and took the key. She returned with the key and told me that she could not allow me access as I was not on the lease. I explained the ordeal again and she did not offer any apologies, but once again explained that she would not allow me access and the other employee should not have offered me service earlier. Extremely disappointed because if that were in fact the policy, she did not have to treat me in such a dismissive and quite frankly, RUDE manner. When I asked for her name, she first informed me that she was the assistant manager in a very condescending tone.
while I once again walked all the way across the complex without access to the amenities paid for. People bring in up to ten outside guest and have parties/hangouts on a daily basis with tons of banned glass and even pets by the pool that is never controlled or monitored. We even tried to complain last month but guess what? The phone just rings and getting help is zero to none.
As I m relocating to the area as well, be very aware of the the customer service issues in this place. Their prices are in the same market for all the other surrounding places that are also new and must offer better service than this and hopefully safer.
I have had significant and ongoing unresolved issues with noisy, inconsiderate upstairs neighbors. I can recommend living here for a top floor unit only due to intolerable noise.
The staff is exceptional and extremely friendly and helpful. They are constantly creating fun, interactive events for residents and continue to add more amenities for us. THANK YOU FOR ALL YOU GUYS DO!
Connor and Shanell, at the front office are always respective, polite, attentive and full of energy. Whenever I have an issue (it s not often) they are taking notes and within 2-3 business days (depending on the urgency) there is an update.
When i first moved in, the front office was horrible. My move in process was a horror. When the office team switched, including the above mentioned and their boss, my issues were resolved timely. Whenever you walk in the door, you are addressed with intention (not a sad, hello). The front staff makes a difference when it comes to renting.
Absolutely TERRIBLE. I m forced to move out because I don t feel safe #1. Our car was broken into and badly damaged. I have heard of MANY car break ins AS WELL AS garage break ins and we have seen the windows and screens busted out of garages. It is so ridiculous. The management here never even called us back about our break in... and in the six months we have lived here they have taken ZERO measures to help deter these break ins. For example, cameras on premises, any patrol EVER never happens.... or even signs that say something like neighborhood watch .... NOTHING. They don t care... The police officer who did our report for our car break in said they happen at this community ALL THE TIME. Also, he said next they will start breaking into the apartment or townhome bc they aren t finding much in the cars at this point bc everyone knows it happens so they don t leave valuables in their cars. I have never lived anywhere so horrible. I would not recommend anyone live here ever ever ever, ESPECIALLY women or families. I live in one of the town homes and I don t even have a parking space despite paying extra to live in a town home. Usually a town home comes with parking but not here. On top of EVERYTHING, good luck ever speaking to a manager OR getting a manager to call you back. They simply don t care. My husband and I have left several messages with no call back, not one. The front desk girls who are all pretty nice just say they are always in meetings I ve never experienced this type of treatment anywhere I ve lived. I would not recommend living here to anyone unless I hated them.
I am a current resident and I do NOT recommend anyone moving here! First off the lady in the front office is extremely rude. Has the nerve to the first one you see as you walk in but don t wanna really be helpful. Need more training in customer service! Will catch attitudes when you are just asking questions! Second, we have experienced issues with rent payment. With this complex you can NOT go off what the portal online says for correct rental amount! That s huge problem! Clearly they have a delay in their portal. So on days you re planning to pay rent it s a HUGE INCONVENIENCE and Inconsiderate that you may be paying wrong amount without knowledge. All depending on when you check your portal.. They will still charge you fees that you didn t know you had to pay AFTER you looked online your amount. After the office has been open and accounts should have been updated. No direct communication on how to turn rent in after hours. No clear communication at all because any concerns you have are answer with attitude. My 1 bedroom apartment is nice but City Park View is only a look. Looks good on the outside, okay location. This apartment complex is definitely money hungry!!
First off, I would like to say that City Park is one of the nicest apartment complexes I have lived in and toured. I took almost 6 months looking for the right apt before moving here and I couldn't be happier. The location is great and I was able to get the biggest newest floor plan for much of nothing compared to other places. I did not find another apt as big as mine near this location for the price of City Park's. Once you get here and start looking you can tell the apts are a couple years old, but you know that when you apply. For my building to be a couple years old as you can see in the pictures it still looks like it was built recently. I stay on the first floor and the ceilings are exceptionally high. I can only imagine how tall the 3rd floors are. I do not have any real noise complaints the residents upstairs do have a large dog which I hear from time to time but not an issue at all the walls are built very strong and so is the apt. Cherrelle was amazing she helped me throughout the whole process, but went on vacation right before we moved in she made sure she communicated that to me before she left which was greatly appreciated. There were minor set backs with moving in and it just seconds what many people have been saying about communication to the residents needs to be stronger. Per example, I had to call the office about a request that they put in for me because it hadn't gotten completed and I moved in 2 weeks ago. Overall, it is a great place to live and in a very very very safe neighborhood. I can't wait to see what this year brings at City Park I am very pleased with my decision to stay here.
unique layouts ,perfect for roomates. huge kitchen with plenty of counter space. close to anything you want to do, the staff is super friendly, the maintenance guy is always smiling and tells me good morning ! great place to live
I lived here for the past year. The management staff was excellent and very nice. I read other reviews and was surprised that others felt they were rude as I never felt that way at all. However I only gave CityPark 3 stars for 1 reason... The trash. We are forced to pay $30/month for garbage service, which rarely if ever gets collected. I end up taking the trash out myself far more often than they collect it and sometimes when I get to the trash bin it looks like this picture. Management's solution was for me to email them, but how does the extra task help me? If they fire the service and get a responsible company, I would give CityPark 5 stars.
Overall, maintenance people and staff are very nice and we have a beautiful apartment and unique floor plan but the community is very isolated. The closest shopping being a 5-30 minute drive (depending on Tryon traffic). We've had our cars broken into and someone's motorcycle stolen literally feet from our front door which has been an ongoing issue. This is the reason for the 3 stars. They need to either gate, or put up cameras to ensure safety. We can hear every single step our upstairs neighbors make which is frustrating. Clubhouse and pool amenities are beautiful. Price is great but will not be renewing our lease.
I referred a friend to this apartment complex and was told later that I would get a referral check. It has been over three months and after multiple calls and in-person follow-ups, I still have not gotten any check. The office lead manager is unresponsive. They did not honor their words and instead of giving me a response they try to avoid me. C'mon, CityPark, a small check is not a big deal for you. Please honor your words.
I'm a current resident living here for 2 months now. If you are thinking about moving to new south phase, you may want to know this. 1. They haven't opened any of the amenities like fitness center, pool etc., yet. All are functional but still not open to the residents. 2. Mailboxes are not open, so any mails you get goes to apartment office which is a big hassle. I have already lost couple of packages. 3. Addresses are new, so none of the sites will recognize the address. 4. Construction noise all around with new Ryan homes behind apartment community. There is no ETA and the leasing folks have no clue on when these will be available/resolved. Literally nothing is ready, so don't get tempted to move here if they offer you free rent for 1st month. After that, you won't get to use any of the amenities. May be when everything is done, it may be a good place to live but not yet. So consider all these before you lease.
Wonderful place to live. The office staff is always responsive. They have handled Covid really well and safely. The maintenance staff Joe and Tim have been so amazing in answering our requests and fixing our air twice when it went out in this heat. It s been one of the better apartments we have lived.
UPDATED REVIEW- When I first moved to city Park View I loved it! The grounds were clean, apartment was nice, and the management was great.
As the end of my lease was approaching, I didn t get a letter for my lease renewal. I decided to go to the office to see what my renewal price would be, and was told by a staff member that they were behind and she would let me know as soon as she can, but I didn t hear anything back from City Park View.
On Sept. 26, 2018 The assistant manager called me and asked if I was interested in renewing my lease, but when asked how long I had to decide, she told me until the end of the month , which would have given me 4 days to pack and move or agree to the almost $80 increase.
In tears; I spoke to the manager Imrah Grippo, who was VERY insensitive and unapologetic. She basically told me there was nothing she could do and was quite rude about it. After threatening to contact someone concerning me being treated worse than someone being evicted (for non payment, or any other reason that may lead to an eviction), none of which I fit the description, she rudely said what do you want me to do , I said I just want what s right and fair . She then gave me 30 days from Sept. 26th.
I called again to address the mistreatment by the staff, and was hesitantly given corporates number. I spoke with the General Manager, but feel like I wasn t heard, and she would not escalate my complaint.
I pay my rent on time (online by the way) Have not complained Have not had any complaint
I went to renew my lease, and even then I was told that Imrah said I decided not to renew which I never said. That is super unprofessional.
I ve yet to get an apology, or hear anything back from the next person in chain of command.
