Went for the Christmas lights and was not disappointed. The staff was great as well.

Went for the Christmas lights and was not disappointed. The staff was great as well.
One of the best Amusement parks in the Carolinas. By far great rides and places to eat. Recommend getting the Fast Lane Plus - makes enjoying your visit even better.
Amazing rides! Long lines and few shaded spots. But what is to be expected at an amusement park? The roller coasters are fantastic and so are the funnel cakes! Staff could be more attentive.
We had a great time. Was not a big crowd easy assess to rides.
I used to visit Carowinds quite often, and on my most recent trip it just may be my last time visiting the park . The park obviously had a lot of maintenance issues consider most rides seemed to not be operating properly, and most only had one car running. The food was awful and ridiculously overpriced, and lastly the prices at the gate don't reflect the prices online. Last but not least the guy running Intimidator was absolutely revolting. Why rush people on to the ride within 30 seconds and jeapordize safety?
Daughters and friends rode rides in Park all day, wife and I enjoyed pool and cabin at the Campground. Great stay!! Staff very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay again!!
I remember going here as a child n now I can take my child there it's a experience we both can share n I love it
For a Friday night it was not very crowded. Scarowinds has added quite a bit since last year and the lines were not too long due to the lower crowd volume I'm guessing. Entertainment was excellent and there are more scary monsters than in the past. Food was good but they have trimmed down the portions and increased the prices. I would suggest eating before entering the park unless you don't mind paying $20 for a burger, fries and a drink. Even the meal plans have been altered so that it's not the same at every restaurant. Overall I think you can have a great time and if you dont mind spending a ton on food.
We go at least once a year! Amazing park for rollercoasters
Just so y'all know I love Carowinds and think it's a great time, but I had a one star time this morning. I bought season passes online for my parents (mom in a wheelchair), grandma (lives with them) and my husband and myself and we also have a toddler. We get there and the entry line is LONG and slow. No signs, no directions, nothing. So my folks were ahead of us in line and got to the front where they are told to go to another line to process online season passes. They call and tell me what's going on so we all have to go get our passes processed. Tons of folks are in the processing line complaining that they already waited in line and didn't know where to go. So we stand in line for the passes. Then we are told that online passes is yet another line. Again no signs or anyone giving directions. Go to the other line and finally get our passes, then have to wait in the long main line yet again. So in line, my grandma gets too hot and falls over. So then they all run over there to check on her, get her water, etc. We finally get inside and she goes to first aid. My point is, they see an older lady, a woman in a wheelchair and a toddler all together. We been waiting in one line or another for over an hour, then we have to go back through a line we already waited in??? How come folks that process their pass that day can't just go ahead in or at least post signs so folks aren't waiting and waiting just to be told to go to another line. My grandma is in good health. She didn't have a health issue that caused her to fall, she just got too hot waiting in a line we had already waited in once. The check-in this morning was just poorly organized. And yes, my grandma is fine. We went on to have a great day, but the way the lines were handled this a.m. was crappy.
had an amazing time! The wait for the rides were not that bad. Was able to get on a few roller coasters back to back!
It was September, and they are getting ready for Halloween, good day for the water park and short lines on the rides.
2019 Update season pass holders they are giving 1/2 portions now with meal tickets midway's down the main drag going to the gate to pay to park there's a little little little little little little little baby sign that says 25 mile an hour so if you're barreling down that road you know it will have a nice time at the park you'll get a nice ticket if a officers there I just figured I'd let you know that because all the times I've been going which is about 20 I never noticed that sign It's a great place I have the gold pass so it's all good but I've seen where some people just do one time thing and it can be very expensive
They'll not give raincheck if park closes because of weather. I couldn't enjoy any of the rides of harbor for this reason and I'll not go back to this park unless they fix this. I'll not refer any friends or family either. I didn't want money back just a raincheck. The tickets aren't cheap and I bought 5 and lost 6hrs of the park because of the weather.
First visit to Carowinds was over Memorial Day Weekend. Although crowded, it seemed like most rides and attractions were running smoothly. The park is well designed and flows nicely. Rides are on par with what you will find at most other medium theme parks. We would go back to visit again on a less crowded weekend.
We always enjoy Carrowinds! I dont like having to rent lockers for some of the rides. I would also recommend more care on making the grounds pretty even behind the scenes. Grounds behind the rides etc are seen from the rides. Take more pride in the grounds.
I was surprised by the amount of coasters and thrill rides. Rides were great but the company I was with sucked
Our family has season passes, so it's totally worth going over and over! It's pretty expensive to just go for one day, but the experience will be worth it (minus the crowds)
My Grandchild wanted to spend his birthday here and wow was it a birthday the whole family really enjoyed there self. Food prices was a little high but it s to be expected at a amusement park. Great entertainment and everything
I see people complaining for everything, like there's no maps, there's no Height signs, people pay attention to what you're doing maps are at the door and heights are everywhere showing how tall you have to be to ride the games, is a nice place no complains. We had a nice time in Halloween, and summer times.
Me and kids love roller coasters.... Family friendly park..
Great family fun that shares with a waterpark. Go mid week for minimal lines. Have sandals in the waterpark to avoid hot cement.
I enjoyed my time at this park. I wish I could of stay longer but it was 103 degrees when I went.
Best place to go to for amazing roller coasters and fun
Had a ball ! Went with a friend and we were able to ride every ride 1 time before closing. You cannot buy a fast pass at online price while you are at the park !!! So if you are considering 1 it's cheaper a head of time to purchase in the long run . Food was average and staff were great ! Love these rollercoasters
Great rides and good wait times. Customer serivce and worker enthusiasm could be improved in a few areas. I do wish there were more areas with fans/mist/general cooling off and that wait times were posted at rides or in the app. Overall had a great time. Though it was hot, we got to do everything we wanted.
I'm not the thrill seeker I use to be when I were 25 years younger. At 48 I feel like I have been in a car wreck but I had a blast. The Fury was 1st and let me tell ya. I wasnt right the rest of the day. That thing moves lol.
Very, very fun. Of course we got the free meal all day pass, but it was very exciting and surprisingly the lines were short today, maybe because it was Sunday.
The staff at kiosks are bland and seemed bothered when approached. With ridiculously high prices on low quality food, at least patrons should have a somewhat pleasant experience with the help. 4.25 for 1.50 bottle of water, after paying 207 bucks for parking, admission and fast lane....... Wow. 23 bucks for a low quality burger plate and 2 drinks. This was my second trip to carowinds where i saw a person faint from heat because of ling waits on rides where staff seem to take their time at keeping things moving. Carowinds does not seem to me to be a place where you get what you pay for. It's as if, the customer is compelled to join the carowinds club by buying season passes, meal deals, parking deals and refillable drink apparatuses to get any inkling of a fair price. This is not conducive to a positive singular visit and doesn't seem fair. Anyway, I'll drive a little farther and go to Six Flags and Bush gardens. Enjoy your 1 star. You guys earned it...
Water park is great! I The lines for the tube rides get very crowded by late afternoon, but we did the kiddie area with grandkids which was fine
So much fun! Fast pass is the best thing ever! We didnt wait more than 5 minutes to get on the rides. The only suggestion is to make the staff faster as serving in the bar areas. With only 4 people at the bar, it shouldn't take 20 minutes to get a beverage.
We had a blast! Nice, clean. Awesome rides. I would recommend coming here to everyone!
Great place to take the kids and lots of great and fast roller coasters
First let me say Cedar Point is my go-to amusement park. I m in Ga so we drove to Carowinds. I have to say it was pretty decent. My son had just turned 5 the day before our visit an my daughter is 6. The kiddie park was fun but it s more for toddler kids. We really loved the kiddie rollercoasters we had so much fun and we rode them several times because we went on a summer Friday and it was slow. The water park was also fun. They have bigger slides and kid slides, an they also provide life jackets for kids free of charge so that was nice. The food is high but that is expected. A pre-k pass is awesome for kids. Just sign up during the right times of the season. We ll be going back again before we leave the Carolina area. It s fun for kids an that s considering that I love cedar point. The grown up rides-eh, cedar point wins but they were decent.
Awesome. Always upgrading. Great place to lose oneself
I went to Carowinds today and had a frustarating experience. We had paid for parking online, but when we got there they were letting everyone in for free. The park was packed due to there being some event for middle school music students. A handful of rides were closed which meant that the rides that were still open had crazy long lines. We waited 1 - 2 hours for each ride and only got to get to 5 rides in the almost 7 hours that we were there. This was made even worse by the staff running the rides with plenty of available seats. We waited 2 hours to ride Fury and they left the two cars behind me completely empty on our go, which I had seen them do multiple times. It really seemed like staff was making minimal efforts to keep the lines moving or make it an enjoyable experience. Also, they are now requiring you to put loose belongings such as bags in a locker that you have to pay for by the hour for the biggest rides. It really felt like we were being squeezed for money left and right without getting anything in return. The app was off on wait times and would incorrectly list rides as open when they were closed or vice versa. I came last year on the same weekend and had a much better time, so I was extremely disappointed with the experience today as a whole.
Carowinds has great rides and a nice waterpark. Food is pricey, as usual for an amusement park. Go on a Monday or Tuesday for lowest wait times.
The only problem I had was that you could only go in the lazy river once and if you wanted to go again, you had to wait in line. The river was very short, and it didn t take long to go through one time. It was more like a concentration river than a lazy river.
Had an awesome time and my 5 year olds loved camp Snoopy. All the staff was extremely nice.
Awesome place, exciting and full of rolling journeys
We had a great time. Some of the games were over priced and customer service sucked. But the rides were awesome
Loved it needed a shuttle but very satisfied recommend the season passes lots of food a little pricey but worthy it . Has rides for all ages definitely coming again.
New attractions every season. Season pass is very worth it. Fun even if you don t ride coasters.
Fun for all ages, courteous staff, and plenty of spots where you can stop and rest. Went with my daughter and grandchildren had a lovely time.
I only have one problem which only a few people might care about. Okay so if you have been to Cedar Point almost every coaster has a floor. Yes the ones at Carowinds do have floor but almost every one felt like the raptor. The G-Forces on those coasters were basically unbearable. Coasters like Intimidator, Copperhead, and Fury 325 should not have it so you are hanging your legs and having all the blood run down your leg and hurt. Fury was not that bad about it though. Other than that 5/5. And I know your probably calling me a whoose.
Had fun but parking was $20 admission price gets higher every year.
I wish I had more time to spend here. It was a short visit during a chorus competition. I did enjoy the rides, people, and shops.
Very nice park with very clean rides....it costs more for fast passes than admission. But if you want to ride more than a few rides its a must. All the rides are very well maintained and you feel very safe..most of the staffs attitude is sub par which kept them from getting a 4 from me.
The rides were awesome, and not too bad of lines. Only one wave pool was open and had way too many kids for the life guards to watch but the did an awesome job. Will go back again.
What can I say? Carowinds is a mainstay of the Carolinas, and with all the new rides and attractions is quickly becoming an attraction across the southeast. Everything they do from Winterfest, to the typical day at the park they do with all thought towards the guest experience! There is so much to do for the whole family, and for all ages ranges we regularly buy season passes. Can't wait to see what the new 'coaster, Copperhead Strike is like!
It has great rides for thrill jockeys and moderate rollercoaster riders
Great every time! If you can afford the extra cost for a speed pass go for it. Especially when it s busy.
It's very fun somewhere for a family vacation or just for fun
Go on a Sunday morning and ride some of the best coasters in the country. Only downside: in the shoulder season, many of the stands will be closed.
Awesome place for the family . friday night family bundles are where its at!
Great place to bring the family! Loads of rides to get on, the water park is fun for all ages. Although the park is open in the summer months and we know how SC/NC heat can be, if you come just be prepared for that. Also, if you have the ability to do so, get the season pass if you live within a good driving distance of the area. It would be beneficial to you and you will have paid off the cost of the season pass with 2 visits. Just think, you'll have access to the park with certain events and plus parking is free! That should be incentive enough!! Have fun, during the hot summer months- stay hydrated and as cool as possible, and did I mention...HAVE FUN!
I always have been impressed with Carowinds until lately. I bought my family pass. We went to day to have fun at the park and have pictures with the Easter Bunny. We waited a long time. No EasterBunny. No information. The grandkids were very disappointed
Was a great day! The INTIMIDATER...was my favorite ride. The pricing was about like any other amusement park. Had a great time.
Carowinds is the besttt dawg like take 6 people and y all have fun & vibe and they food be goooddd too ( especially them funnel cakes ) OOUUUU but yeah come here if you in nc it s the best.
Great theme park if you like roller coasters. There are a few non-coaster rides, however they are relatively few and far between. Even discounting roller coasters, the vast majority of the non-water rides at the park fall into the category of "thrill rides." Therefore there is not a wide variety of rides that are geared toward smaller children, or those with weak stomaches.
While not the largest park in the world, Carowinds is perfect for a day trip.
Was here for parking but pleasant views from parking area. Good place for family fun. A little pricey so bring extra $$$ money In case you want to buy or do extra items.
We love the rides and its perks. parking is never an issue. my biggest complain is the food/restaurant. Half of them were closed. We were so hungry and exhausted of walking but kept on walking from 1 food court to another. finally when 1 did open up they were missing items off of the menu. No sorry ! even the manager didn't care. she acted like "take it or leave it" very disappointing
We have season passes, great place for the kids and the fury is tons of fun
Omg, this place is amazing, has lots of rides and places to spend time with family and friends, and the dining options are excellent as well. Definitely give this amusement park two thumbs up
Always such a great time. This trip was my girls first visit. They had so much fun! We definately didn't have time to do all the things. Will be back!
Traffic needs to be directed so that folks don't have to wait an hour at one red ligh . This is ridiculous. Poor planning. We love Carowinds, but the entrance need to be engineered better
So fun, love the deals on tickets, and new attractions at Camp Snoopy. Also, if your planning to go to Carowinds a must ride roller coaster is Fury 325, I posted a picture.
Super fun place for kids, and a few relaxing spots for adults.
We had a great time at the winterfest, the entertainment was enjoyable and the kids loved the rides.
My family and I LOVE this park ! Price is affordable, waiting time is close to nothing on week days !! Combine awesome attractions in the morning and finish the day at the water park. It has nothing on Disneyland to be honest
Attended Christian Music Day 9-22-18 at the Palladium at Carowinds.
A very nice venue. Partially covered. Nice staff. Plentiful concessions. Easily accessible restrooms and water fountains.
The only negative is that the angle of the sun from the left side (facong the stage)of the Palladium blasts your eyes even sitting fourth row center from the stage. This could easily be rectified by a cloth screen or curtain hung from the roof area between the pillars on the left side, probably the top 20 feet or so. This wouldn't effect the esthetics at all,and make the experience far more pleasant for attendees on the left side (facing the stage) of the Palladium. Otherwise I would have ranked it 5 stars.
One of my fav places the boys always have a good time n its affordable
