I had my review at 5 stars because I love the wings, but the service is so hit and miss. This time we had to find our server 3 times for our drinks.

Great beer, good food, friendly staff. This is a fun place to go to hang out with friends.

Food was ok. I was expecting a little more from their hamburgers and wings but overall its not bad.

I go here strictly for the nacho's..best Nacho's Ever!! oh and you happy hour specials are good too.!! beer and wings!

Been their twice, first time we were their server didn't tell us they stopped serving food and only do apps after a certain time so when we went to order food she told us and then still brought out our drinks after we told her we don't want them cause their was no good and still made us pay for them even though we said we didn't want them before she brought them out? And they were only pop not even alcohol. Second time we went their we sat down a waited about 15 minutes before even someone acknowledged we were their, took another 10 minutes to bring out our drinks so we didn't even bother trying to order food as we would of been their a few hours, worst part about it was their was only us two and 2 other tables in the whole building, we got stuck with the same server an older lady, worst experience both times will never step in the restaurant again waste of time! If I could give a negative stars I would!

Everything was really good as to service and food. The only reason it didn't score higher was the smell in the men's washroom. The smell of urine was so strong it was hard to breathe. Don't know how they can leave it that way.

It was very relaxing and staff are well versed servers and ambassadors to the establishment.

Supper was delicious, staff were very professional. Wife had good birthday night.

best tacos i've ever had. hands down. the atmosphere is wonderful, and despite being busy service has always been exemplary. the portions are quite large, so you leave with a fully belly and some left over!

Great place for sitting alone or getting a drink with friends.

If ya like nachos and some drinks its a great place to go.
The staff are pretty awesome too!

My wife and I love this place. Our favorite wings in Winnipeg. Their soups are always awesome too, Jalapeno cheddar is killer! Very reasonable prices.

If was the worst food I've ever ate in my life all these ppl on here and saying is amazing food but all the meat tasted like dog food. Absolute let down I wouldn't even bring it home to feed to my dogs. Everyone who is on here saying this is good food is out of they're mind

i have been going to this place For over 10 years now. (wow! really!?!) the wings are great. the service is good. kinda sucks that you have to pay to park. but a decent Mexican experience

I've been coming here for 27 years and I love it. The food is good and the service is usually great (over 27 years you're going to run into the occasional waitress whose heart isn't in it ... I would make a horrible waitress). Portion sizes are big. The nachos can be expensive but my daughter and I share the nachos for a full meal and I have never been able to finish them on my own no matter how starving I am. I love the chicken chimichungas but our go to is Carlos nachos with the beans and salsa on the side and chicken on top ... thank me later. Never order nachos if the resturant offers extra cheese for an additional cost (a sure sign their regular nachos are not cheesy enough). Here I always run out of chips before toppings ... they are loaded and so yummy. They also mix a perfect rum and coke which shouldn't be hard but a lot of places mess up somehow.

The best mexican food in the city! Everytime I go I usually order the same items. The guacamole is HUGE. Its very fresh and delicious. Comes in a yummy deep fried tortilla bowl.
The Carlos Gold Shrimp is flavorful and spicy! Nachos are also huge wih tons of toppings and cheese. The prices are very reasonable.
Update: I went for their wing special last night and tried the gold wings and they were amazing! Their gold sauce is the best. I ve had a bad experience only once where almost everything was stale tasting but since then and before then it has been consistently good

Great food, and cold beers. Everything you need for a good time.

A neighborhood institution. Best nachos in the city, hands down.

I love coming here! They are always willing to accommodate my diet and suggest alternatives. I do wish that there were more vegan options here, more than just omitting ingredients from the menu items. Beyond meat ground would go great in some of these dishes and vegan cheese is so easy to find so hopefully that's on the way for the future!

This was the worst Mexican food. I asked for hot sauce for the bland dry enchilada and the server offered franks hot sauce cuz that like all we got. The patio has charm hence the 1 star.

Authentic Mexican food. Our server Megan was outstanding, always had our drinks refilled before asking super fast and on top of things. Atmosphere is cozy and clean.

The staff and decor are nice, but everything about the food is bland and uninspired. Even the salsa is tasteless!

The "spicy ground beef" I got on my nachos didn't have a hint of flavor. Others in my group got tacos where the toppings were meat, cheese and lettuce; that's it! I mean, was this a mistake? That's literally what you get at taco bell, but for 1/8th of the price!

Although I live in a different province now, I still have yet to find a place that makes nachos like Carlos and Murphy's!

Casual dining. Large portions. Friendly customers. Took my husband here first restaurant I took him to in Winnipeg. I expected a decent server Was a little disappointed with her I don't care attitude. Server wasn't too friendly with my husband and I. It was okay.

Came here for a couple of beers and some wings. The flavors of the wings were all good and we enjoyed their drink specials too.

The atmosphere was nice. Pretty laid back and casual.
We also tried the quesadilla. Not the greatest presentation but it was surprisingly flavorful. Would go back again.

I came here for Valentine's Day on a last minute decision, and I was not disappointed! The girl who served us did an amazing job! If only I could remember her name so she could actually get the gratitude she deserves!

A warm and cultured atmosphere gives you a small taste of what a true restaurant bar in Mexico would feel AND taste like!

The food is quite good but if you are wanting the standard Covid precautions with servers wearing masks and social distancing, this isn t the place for you at the moment.

it was decent service but the funny thing is my cousin went to grab his gfs car. and i came as soon as he left and the server thought i was him and she was like can i grab you the same. I said yah for sure without skipping a beat and she brought me what he was drinking

Carlos & Murphy's is a bit of an anomaly and one of the harder places to review. Drinks are average, service is average to good, space seems rundown, food is good and comes in large portions. It has a fantastic location with an alley entrance and a great patio. The chimichangas are great and very large. Here's the thing, for a place that seems average to good, it's oddly great. If not already, this place has become an institution of sorts. It's very difficult to pinpoint why exactly, but you want to come back and again.

Their wings are amazing especially with the Carlos Gold sauce. Nachos are pretty good too and they have some unique variations such as pulled pork, bacon and pineapple, if that s your thing. I have occasionally come here for dinner and it s been alright, but the snack food/drinks are the main full.

Only getting the 2nd star because the food was actually quite good...HOWEVER service extremely slow and inattentive and very poor ventilation as the entire restaurant smelled like cigarette smoke (from the outdoor patio) and when I got home all of my clothing reeked and of course had to be washed. Took 2 days for my throat to return to normal. I will not be returning until they ban smoking from their patio

Authentic Mexican cuisine, friendly service, funky decor (seemingly from the 70s) tucked away off Osbourne in the Village.

I always have a great experience at Carlos & Murphy's. The food is great. Service is always really good.

Considering all the options you have on this area, and also considering all the places that have closed recently, it s a no brainer why this place keeps running... eclectic decor, good food, good service. Yes, there could be better places, but for this part of town and for this prices, it has to be on the top 5.

I really enjoy Carlos & Murphys, mostly for the atmosphere and nachos - the Carlos Nachos are to die for! I have always been impressed with their service as well.

An Osborne Village staple. Happy hour is from 4-7, with great specials on wings and draft beer. Nachos are probably the best in Winnipeg, in my opinion. I like a good spicy wing, if you ask, they'll make you suicide wings. Service and atmosphere are great.

The "Ben's Back Home" Le Burger Week fare was not the strongest entry considering how good the regular C & M menu normally is. Great restaurant, great service, just need to do a better job on this burger next year!

Great place, good food. A little cramped and dark but otherwise an awesome place!

Try their Carlos Red beer and Carlos Gold wings. I love the crispiness of their wings with the sauce added on top. I wish I could get that beer off sale.

I had the steak burrito it was terrible. My husband had the tacos ,he eat them but didnt like them . We said we will never go back . They need to hire someone that can cook mexica dishes .

Never received any food to review as after waiting an hr and half our food was still not out. Left to go somewhere else as we were starving. What a waste of time.

I don't know why they call it Mexican food. There's nothing Mexican about it. Everything is saturated with cheddar and mozzarella cheese. The food should be labelled "Texan". The restaurant uses wheat flour tortillas. You will never see a wheat flour tortilla in a real Mexican restaurant.

Always enjoy coming here. Good wings and nachos, plus good prices during happy hour. They are definitely a safe venue during Covid as they have taken extra precautions.

Favorite place for beer and wings. Can't beat the happy hour specials
