Food was great, but wasn t crazy busy and food took over half an hour

Mediocre Tex-Mex "inspired" cuisine -- furthest thing from actually Mexican. Under-seasoned, and prepared without taking the time to brown meat properly or develop any flavour.

If you like tex-mex this is the place to go. Service is always good, and food is wonderful. I really like the portion sizes too.

I have not been there for awhile.

Food was good quality. Staff could be more pleasant. Atmosphere was great love the building.

Haven't been there in a while and now that Spring is about, I wouldn't mind returning! Sorry; I can't do the indoors section, nothing better that doing the outdoor patio sipping a few beverages and enjoying wings! Parking can be limited depending on the day of week and time of day.

Been going here for many years. The wings were good as usual.

Good Tex mex style food. Enchiladas with steak were delicious! Guacamole was yummy.

Everytime I go there is a long wait and it's overpriced. You'd think a Mexican restaurant would have good margaritas but you're mistaken. Also none of the usual chips on the table and stuff.

Somehow it's always so busy and the service isn't great. The nachos are the only thing that's good on the menu, and they actually are very good.

This place has been around for a long time - my old stomping grounds! Our dinners were ok though I wouldn't say spectacular (after having eaten at many restaurants in Mexico & southern California). Portion sizes are very large. The Murphy's wings had a nice, mild BBQ flavour. Atmosphere is lively, happy hour is long and prices are good . It was a scorching day in May so the patio was packed but we eventually got a table outside without waiting too terribly long. The service staff were all very friendly and helpful.

Poor service, cold food. 30 mins wait for chips and queso, it was disgusting and cold. Menu on website is not the same in store.

Nachos and beer and sometimes is all I ever get here, so I might be missing out on some other delicious foods, but it's alright... the nachos and beer and wings are (expletive) delicious

Loaded Nachos, wings and a bucket of Coronas on the patio. Perfect for an afternoon hang with friends or a late night evening get together. Excellent prices to for what you get.

Carlos Nachos and Gold wings are always ordered by me! Nachos are amazing and the food is very consistent. We have been going here for 25 years - and have never been disappointed. Great place to go after a movie date. Opened late and yummy sharing food.
The atmosphere and the food keeps us coming back and now we are introducing the next generation to this little gem.

excellent margaritas! wings tacos burritos, hands down best mexican joint in Winnipeg. they have a nice patio an great atmosphere inside. TV screens for sports that are big enough but not intrusive. located in the heart of Osborne Village. I had the steak chimichangas a month ago an was thoroughly impressed by the large chunks of meat as the quantity of the 3 sides of salsa, guac an sour cream! overall highly recommend

Great Atmosphere, Extremely Disappointing Meal.

I ordered the Fajitas and was brought a tray of fillings with shells in the middle. Now I don't know about you, but typically when I order food at a restaurant,I expect my meal to be prepared. Especially when the small amount of food given cost over $20!!! I would imagine a sandwich shop wouldn't have any business if they handed their customers a bunch of ingredients, 2 slices of bread, and expect the customer to pay (what seems to be extra) to put it together themselves. Had I known this was how my meal was going to be served, I would have gone down the street to Safeway and bought twice as many ingredients for half the price.

Once again, extremely disappointed.

Reasonable price with larve portions , enouvh to take home and enjoy another day .

I had the fajitas, very tasty. Had to ask for more tortillas, but that's normal. Bathrooms are very cramped, but clean. Rustic atmosphere, friendly service. We enjoyed our meal.

Went for "Le Burger Week", and left very dissapointed! Flat beer and bland burger. Almost like they forgot the sauce. Have been here several times, and this was the first time I left dissatisfied.

Only got myself a burger there but my friends got lots of mexican food. It was all absolutely delicious. I didn't actually know it was kind of a bar before I went but I enjoyed the food immensely.

Didnt have to wait long for seating and wait staff were very prompt and kind with all food and drinks. Would go again.

Rustic atmosphere; no nonsense menu and pretty straightforward layout. Patio is cramped. Very tasty food and no bs when it comes to their warning labels for spicy food:). Good Beer selection .

I've hung out here for years; I've brought kids through here as they've grown up. What an awesome place with great food.... Seriously THE BEST Nachos ever - world class, Jenn. Same goes for the taco salad.

This is a "must stop" if you are visiting Winnipeg or if you live here - why haven't you been yet?

Good food and selection of drinks. Nice kinda half hidden away patio.

Beer was Cold and the chicken wings were Hot. Nothing more to ask for.

Service was great, food was not good at all... guacamole had no taste and was super grey looking, I didn't even eat it. Shrimp tacos were super basic with cocktail sauce as sauce... I'm sorry who puts shrimp cocktail sauce in a taco.. didn't finish my food, too grossed out. Also lettuce was brown and spoiled on the ends. The place is rustic and great but had a bad BO odor to it... would not eat here again.

First time here, food was good but my ceasers were so small,warm and very watery. Might come back

Awesome food all the time, especially the wings. Smells a little funny but I can overlook that.

About as old school university haunt as you can get. Great food and service. Reasonably authentic Mexican food.

Really terrible shrimp tacos. Just giant tortillas with bland vegetables (iceberg lettuce and sad looking tomatoes), cheap cheese, and shrimp that was deep fried with the shell still on. Not going back there again!

Best nachos in the city. They are very generous with the toppings. Draft Beers are really cheap during happy hour ($4.95)

Service was fantastic, great drinks specials but the food was pretty underwhelming. Loved the patio and would go back for drinks, but wouldn't recommend for a meal.

I love this place, great happy hour with actually reasonably priced drinks, and the food is always tasty so definitely head down there after work and have a great time!

The atmosphere is okay, the service was alright... But the food was the blandest "Mexican" cuisine I've ever had. I didn't have super high expectations but I expected a bit of flavour. Asked for hot sauce and got Frank's so that was a funny touch.

Gave it a 3 because it was still a good time but I don't think I'll ever eat here again. Food was not good, unless you really don't like a bit of spice.
