This Mexican restaurant is a Must eat place in this city. My friends and I went there trusting the public reviews and we were very happy with the service, portions and great Mexican flavours (Especially the beans on the burritos). Portions are big but you ll want to finish everything. Staff are cool and wait time was around 30 mins as it s a busy restaurant. I would go back in future. Thank you for making my day :-)

So far my favourite place in Winnipeg for mexican/texmex food. Huge portions on entrees, good (if small) wings i think were 30 cents during happy hour. A patio if you want to sit outside and a small bar area. I always stop here when in the area.

Thoroughly delicious from start to finish! The vegetarian chilly is especially delicious, and although the portions are rather small for the price, they do come with a good side of nachos! 10/10

Worst service EVER in Winnipeg !!! If I could rate this a negative I would . Poor service cranky waitress and the bar tender took the cake . When have you met a cranky bar tender ?We were 7 ladies out for a night to have fun . What a let down .

A staple restaurant in Osborne Village. The menu is a variety of Mexican dishes. The portions are huge and all items are very reasonably priced. I recommend the wings, nachos and fajitas. Carlos and Murphys also has outstanding happy hour prices. It is a must as far as I am concerned.

Food was great! We sat by the window and we were a little disappointed by how dirty it was with all the plants that were dry and dirty and doesn't look like the window sill has been cleaned in years. I understand it's a busy place but it needs a good cleaning / updating in a few places. Great establishment just needs a bit of TLC.

The drinks are alright and the menu hasn't changed in years. The food is alright for what it is; primarily beef cheese and a vessel for those 2 toppings. There's not much here for people with dietary restrictions, so if you're only coming for drinks you'll be fine. If you're vegetarian or vegan, or even gluten free, I'd suggest eating beforehand.

A Winnipeg classic. Good food and a quaint atmosphere. For Mexican, the food could be a bit spicier but that is my personal taste. Relaxed and laid back, a great place for friends to start a night in the Village.

Worst excuse for a lime margarita I've ever had. Chimichangas were soggy, beans were salty and guacamole didn't look fresh. The dish was well served though. I sit by the window and it was filthy too, that makes me wonder how clean is the kitchen...

As a Latino - and just a human who knows what good food is - this is the
worst food I've probably actually ever had haha. Bad flavours or just bland/ flavourless, and very overpriced. Not even the nachos or wraps were good

The food was good, but kinda a wait for our food, it's gets pretty busy too, waited a bit for 4 shots of tequila to be poured right in front of us, only looked like one bartender working on a busy night, the cocktails sucked, but nice restaurant. nice waitress, was honest about the cocktails atleast.

My only complaints are that the chips in the nachos aren't great, and when I order an appetizer and an entree, they shouldn't come out at the same time. But other than that, food was delicious, service was attentive even though our server was clearly very busy and working the patio alone.

I love food and always leave a restaurant tipping generously.. this time was very hard to do with my 3 year old and wife.
Asked waitress to pack up our dinners then threw them in garbage outside establishment.
Food was not edible.
Waited 55 minutes watching other tables who arrived before us asking to have their dinners to go.
Dont understand the ratings for this restaurant as it was the reason for going.
Thank all the gods and pixies we had leftovers at home
Would go into detail about every dish ordered but as i said.. I always leave tipping generously..
DO NOT ORDER THE MEXICAN DISHES stick to the burgers and wings if venturing osborne tonight
Disgusting and just unjustly winnipeg food, shameful

Basically if you are looking for great wings and couple of beers at a very decently priced happy hour rate then this is the place to be in Osborne Village, for Mexican cuisine portions are huge.

I had not been into Carlos and Murphy's in over 10 years. While it is still lively with great atmosphere, friendly staff, and excellent drinks, I was pretty disappointed in the food. The Chili Con Queso, which is what I was most looking forward to, was subpar, and not at all how I remember it to be. I was looking forward to a creamy and luxurious cheese dip, but we got a congealed version of it. It seemed like cornstarch or flour had been hastily added to it, as there were a few lumps. It wasn't inedible, but it mediocre. At best.
