Celebrated my girlfriend's birthday with a delightful lunch. Love sitting at the high top table across from the bar when dining here. Consistently excellent food and accommodating chef.

Knowing that I don't have to make a special trip all the way to Las Vegas for some authentic Italian food is great to know. The seafood linguine is to die for. Everytime we have dined at Canaletto in Vegas, this is the dish we order frequently. Here in Canaletto Newport, they have the same exact dish. Very satisfying. We also order the pizza which serves a great appetizer. The pizza to look out for is pizza cristina. It is made with truffle oil, cheese, mushrooms, argula and the best procuitto. If you want some really good food, come here. Phenomenal food and is great for the family as well as a date or solo. Finally to top it all off is the tiramisu. It's by far the best ever. I haven't had tiramisu elsewhere that can compete with the fair texture and flavor. In addition, the service is 5stars. It just doesn't get any better than Canaletto.

I had the gnocchi and it was just ok in my opinion. Pricing is a little high but not crazy. I m not sure it was good enough to go back to.

Good to very good food. A poorly trained server was annoying and detracted from our meal with 6 friends. The restaurant was better a few months ago when we dinner there. Hope they will get things fixed!

Food was amazing. Service was awesome. Ambient was warm and friendly. We had a great time. The risotto with Porcini mushrooms and black Truffle was amazing, along with the salmon, the selection of cured meats and the Zabaglione!!!

Absolutely love this place, the service is always absolutely fantastic, possibly the best service in FI! My favorite dish is the Polipo Con Patate, it's a warm octopus and potato salad with extra-virgin olive oil and lemon juice. I have never had this dish anywhere else and cannot resist ordering it every visit. The restaurant is large and handles group reservations extremely well, I would recommend this for a quick bite or for an evening out with friends.

Where do I begin? My meal and everything I tasted was superb. Soup, bread, entrees and specials all had flavorful notes. Wine selection had some good gems in there as well. Service was delightful our waitress Anna was able to vividly describe every dish our party of 14 ordered along with guide us through their correct pronunciation which after a few drinks was a fun experience in itself. Staff took care of our table with great detail, and really made the experience. The manager made it over and was a very pleasant personality. I am looking forward to returning and having the Chilean Seabass a 25 minute wait well worth it. Great dining experience well worth it.

A solid 4 out of 5. To get a 5 it has to be spectacular and Michelin Star Quality. None the less very good.

Great authentic Italian cuisine . The service was above and beyond what we normally experience at similar restaurants. The beautiful room, great service, and exceptional food made our dining experience memorable. Ask for server, Michelline, as she was knowledgeable and friendly and was one of the best we have ever had at a fine dining establishment.

The food was very good. A lot of good choices. Very traditional Italian food. The special were excellent. The service was top notch. Take your time and enjoy everything. You won't be disappointed.

A very good Italian style restaurant. Very friendly and professional staff. I had a mixed grill of fish and sea food, which I can really recommend.

Food was great, but quite pricey. My simple gnocchi plate was $21. But it was good.

This restaurant serves Italian cuisine, classic pasta and risotto. I recommend the truffle risotto, absolutely delicious. While waiting for your dish, we make you wait with bread dipped in olive oil mixed with balsamic vinegar. The bread is served hot and very good.

This meal itself was 50/50 for me. I personally really liked their Papparadelle with Pork Sugo, which had a great chewy texture and a really yummy sauce. However, the Veal Casoncelli we also ordered was really salty and the buttery white sauce didn't do much for the dish.

I celebrated my graduation today in this great place. Well we passed a delightful evening and the place was undoubtedly one of the reasons for this fruitful evening. The team participated in a splendid style, the cooking was tasty and my guests were extremely happy. We shall absolutely return for more joyful events. thanks very much.

I've been traveling to the Newport Beach area for the last few months for business. A colleague told me about the happy hour (4:30-6:30) today and I decided to check it out.

All i can say is I wish I had found this out earlier! Full glasses of wine for the $6. Full plates of food $6. Full sized pizza's... You guessed it $6!

This Italian restaurant really knows how to throw a proper happy hour in the midst of money. The staff is a pure delight and the clientele are just as top notch as anywhere else in Newport Beach.

This place is worth giving a shot. They serve large portions for affordable rates. Regularly clean and with fantastic atmosphere. I highly recommend this place.

Lovely little restaurant that has good food & good wine. Had a fabulous dinner here. We've come by a few times, and the service has been consistently friendly and laid back, letting us enjoy our meal without hurrying us along.

Well known fancy Italian restaurant and it does all that very nicely, I especially recommend their lobster-based special for dinner, it was an incredible dish and the pasta fit in so well.

No one in my groups ever went wrong on their dinner choice and each detail was there, this is a definite place for a delicious meal. Do expect a quieter (but not dead) environment. Classy all in all.

This was not your average pasta and sauce. The salad was light and delicious. I should have snapped a photo of the menu. It's really beautiful inside. Our group walked over from the Fashion Island Hotel to get our steps in for the day. One of my friends said she was having a pasta baby, Ragu. It's because she ate so much while we were there. Oh, you should order the tiramisu. It's to die for! I recommend you split it with a friend.

There are two sides of Delfina - one for pizza and one for pasta. What brought me in was the spaghetti picture featured on yelp. So of course we picked the pasta side. There were four of us in our party so I was happy we can cover a lot of the menu. We were all very hungry, so think about eating for 6 people.

Bro, you want amazing tacos or a fire home-cooked Cuban-style Pan con Lechon? Then you definitely gotta try this place out if you haven't yet. And if you wanna try them out, try them on a Tuesday for Taco Tuesday for some reduced prices on this awesome food.

The staff are all super friendly and super cool and they make you feel like you're at home.

The 2 things I've had and would recommend are the Lechon tacos and the Pan con Lechon. I've heard that the Tamal is also fire.

Either way, order Avocado on the side, put it all over everything and it'll make it that much better.

Good wait staff but the lobster ravioli was like rubber. The bread before was good but I would avoid this place. We went because we were lazy and didn t want to walk far from hotel. Should have just ate at hotel.

Wooooo this place right here...spectacular. And let me preface this by saying I'm a hater of Italian restaurants because most of them are low quality in terms of noodles, sauces, ingredients and the like. My mind was blown.
The ambiance had a romantic elegance to it. So for any guys trying to lock it down, this is a nice spot to take your crush. The cuisine is a bit pricy but the location is on Newport Beach so you have to expect that.
The service was excellent by the main server (Jeremy James) and his team. They were so attentive and answered all our questions about the menu. To anyone from the restaurant reading this, they really took care of us all night long. 5 star service experience right there alone. Given that it was a Monday night, it was not packed so the weekend experience may differ.
The plates were astonishing good. Bruschetta was a great start along with the Pilopo con Patate if you like octopus. I tried both the Goulash and the Vermicelli. If you don't like seafood, don't get the Vermicelli but that was my favorite dish of the night. The Goulash was very very good as the meat was really tender and the fettuccine that it was with made for the perfect pairing.
I can't believe that after 5 years of visiting Fashion Island, I never once visited this place. I will definitely be making a return to try out more stuff. 10/10 from me.

Cozy and classy place serving classic Italian fares, half price during happy hour which starts at 4:30. Servers are very nice and friendly. Place is always clean and organized. Conveniently located, parking is free in the parking structure.

The food was nothing special, service average, and prices rather high. Music was an agitating beat, perhaps to rush one along through their meal. One expects there are better places to eat, but maybe this is meeting the needs of the very young consumer without much experience.

Good Italian food. Not the best you can find around here for the price.
