Gonino Center for Healing Review

What attracted me to this practice is the whole theory of combining homeopathic and modern medicine. Unfortunately I didn t have a good experience. The practice is ran more like a business to make money and not a practice who cares for his patients. Dr. Gonino was very presumptuous and didn t take the time to really listen to what was going on with my health. He Rx medications and IV s that were unnecessary. I thought why not give it a try he is the doctor and may be right. As soon as I started taking the Rx I got worse and ended up in the hospital twice. I went back for a follow up visit and was very disappointed when I had a different doctor that couldn t tell me why Dr. Gonino Rx things that were unnecessary. Unfortunately I wasted my time and money at this practice. Dr. Gonino doesn t take most insurance and in just two visits I spent $350.
I don t mind spending the money if I m going to legitimately be helped. Thankfully I went to Colorado to see a doctor that took two hours asking questions, listening to me and testing until he finally figured out that I had occupational Mercury exposure! Honestly if Dr. Gonino would ve taken the time to listen and not be presumptuous he probably would ve figured this out. He is to focused on $ not the people.

Excellence in care without traditional treatments to just treat symptoms. Dr Gonino does extensive testing to get to the underlying cause and truly cares about his patients. Great, positive staff and environment!

After reading reviews of the Gonino Center For Healing, I am even more concerned as our story is very similar to others. We took our son here to have a better understanding of his thyroid. Along the way, Dr. Gonino recommended a push metals test and many other IV type treatments. We did not do all of the recommended testing. We did a push metal test which in the end yielded nothing. Our most recent visit we saw one of Dr. Gonino's nurse practitioners in which she questioned the treatment plan of a previous nurse practitioner who changed our son's thyroid medication. His test came back showing his thyroid levels were too high. The lab tech who called us said, you know what, the nurse practitioner you saw, Whitney forgot to tell y'all to stop taking one of his thyroid medications, oops, sorry about that. Hold on a minute, come again? I read to her what the prescription reads per the nurse practitioner. For months we have been following her orders to end up problem solving my son's symptoms. I requested to speak to the doctor only to be told that I need to place my concerns in writing. We did. We have yet to hear anything back from the doctor. In the meantime, someone from the Gonino Center called our pharmacy to refill the wrong thyroid medication for our son. But, there's more. We've been dealing with a fatty liver for almost a year. I asked Dr. Gonino for a treatment plan that is specific to our son and will get to the root of the problem as we've tried all other suggestions his staff recommended. Again, still no response from the doctor. We will not return to this office. I do not trust working with anyone at the Gonino Center

Dr. Gonino has been my physician since 2003. His approach to my care has always been using medications as a bridge to total wellness. He's been a wonderful caring medical professional with the highest regard for my well being. I. respect and appreciate him very much.

Believe it or not, this is the cheapest place I've gone for holistic care. It (holistic care) is pretty darn expensive in general so I was expecting to be charged a thousand on my first visit because I also got a bunch of supplements. Then I was charged around $300. Everything that you need for the assigned protocol is right there at the center. I live over an hour one way. It may seem excessive to drive so far but I have struggled so long and I am willing to do some crazy things to feel better. Doing your own research beforehand, doing research about the supplements you take, and about the different parts of the protocol you are assigned will really help you communicate with the doctor and nurses. Also, I believe he has changed his methods a bit in the past couple years because I saw a review from 2 years ago that said he prescribed a chemical antifungal yet he told me not to take an antifungal a different doctor prescribed me.

Worst experience at any doctors office!! You are just a number to him. The doctor sounds like he says the same thing to everyone. He didn t answer my questions and the entire experience was very unorganized and unprofessional! Recently I ve tried contacting them for numerous things and I always get told the same things!! Nobody ever calls back or returns my calls. I went back recently with my sister and she noticed the same and we agree that we need to find another doctor. This office was a waste of time and I was very disappointed in how both our experiences went especially because we drive from so far. Save your gas and the headache from this office losing your appointment times, not calling you back or if you have questions about the large amounts of expired vitamins they try to over charge you for.

My favorite doctor and has been since I was a baby. He's like family to me I recommend him to everyone who talks to me about needing a doctor.

The Dr. was amazing! He took time to explain everything and layout at plan. His staff was welcoming and warm. They spend a huge amount of time answering my questions and they did test/exams that made sense but had never been done by my normal Docs. Love the vibe in this place too. Positive happy healing!!

They truly take time to listen to your concerns and make a plan to address them.

Over the last year, I've had a great experience with the staff here. They have all been considerate and caring. While I don't buy into every treatment, the holistic medicine approach is the best route. The PA was able to balance my Thyroid, Testosterone and other conditions to get me to a place where I am not only functioning but thriving. Before writing a prescription we tried natural treatments and when all else failed, then we moved to medication. Talk to them, ask questions and decide what is the best treatment plan is for you. I will be transferring all my health care to this practice.

Don't go near this place. They overcharge and under-deliver. They prey on the fears of last resort patients. I just went to pick up a refill of their "specially formulated" Alka Salts. It's an hour drive round trip. Picked it up, brought it home, half the amount for the same price. He literally doubled the price. That's just disgusting. They need to remove all their Christian signs. It's misleading and only adds insult to injury.

This office is a lie. They do PREY on people. Especially the elderly and the desperate. This office has gotten too big and Gonino is going to kill someone. Look him up there IS info on the internet about malpractice.

They seem to have a good thing going, though I prefer to see the doctor when I go in for a visit. Most of the time I was scheduled to see a nurse practitioner. They have one really good one, the others are not as experienced.

I felt better while I was sticking to their food plan, but what I really like is the IV therapy. That was worth driving all the way over there from the west side of Dallas.

Love this wellness center, wish I had known about them long ago. Helping naturally and hollistically every step of the way now matter what your ailment is. Thank you guys!

Dr Gonino failed my dad, on repeat, through his final days.
Please, please, PLEASE go somewhere else if you have cancer.
He will not be straight forward with you, there will never be a treatment plan, he will argue with and yell at your family members, he will not give you the pain relief you need... the list goes on and on.

I have been a registered nurse for 15 years and do not give medical recommendations easily! Dr. Gonino has changed my life for the better!!!! I highly recommend Dr. Gonino or any of his associate providers. I started going to his office in 2017 with horrible bloating, fatigue, and widespread body pain! I was almost 300 lbs. I began to get better after 2 months of treatment. I am now 255 lbs and my weight continues to decrease! I have improved in all areas of my health that I needed.

He set there and listens to you. I was there for 4 hours and only about 30 minutes of that was waiting on him? Blood tech, or his liason that slows everything down and explain more of what he talked about in your visit. We are fighting a rare cancer and my case is pretty extensive. Highly recommend Dr. Gonino.

I was very dissatisfied with my experience here. My chronic neurological symptoms were not addressed by Dr. Gonino during my appointment with him. He talked nearly the whole length of the appointment, and then passed me off to the new patient coordinator to go over everything he said. I found the new patient coordinator to have a cold demeanor and she most certainly was not polite during our meeting. This is not an acceptable way to treat patients!

The center's central messages are that "Love Heals" and that Dr. Gonino is "Tired and fed up with western medicine and prescription pills". Nonetheless, I left with a prescription in in hand for synthetic medication, two pages of supplement recommendations (many of which I am allergic to), and I most certainly did not feel "loved" or "healed".

I was desperate to clear up my skin after a double jaw surgery and a chronic 6 month infection had debilitated my health and body. I told Dr. Gonino how my diet was very clean (whole foods, no sugar, no yeast) and I just wanted an IV therapy to help my skin heal. He started rambling on this very long protocol and a long list of supplements. I fell for it. I started to take an anti-fungal CHEMICAL prescription pill for 20 days! Come to find out, Doctor's are compensated very well for selling these types of mycostatin drugs. Also, the IV therapies offered are SYNTHETIC. The vitamins are SYNTHETIC and harmful to the liver, kidneys, and gallbladder. Which is why they recommend a liver and gallbladder cleanse once a week! Ridiculous. I am so offended that he would prescribe me these toxins when he knew how adamant I was about living a CLEAN lifestyle and not putting anything toxic into the body. To top it off, they force new patients to attend an all day "health" class for over $100. This "health" class is nothing more than an advertisement for their other services (yoga, hypnotist etc) and most of all their supplement line. Nutrition was not discussed in depth. They offer a Candida protocol plan for $2,800!!!! When you can easily follow the FREE Phase One diet plan to kill off any Candida. This wellness center is a disgusting example of greed and corruption. They are not honest with the ingredients they are feeding their patients and if you question/confront them they have an attitude.

I was not a patient, my daughter was. The recommendations and testing performed were unbearable. I believe they cater to folkes who just need someone to hear them. They really offer no medical therapy. Perhaps just hope and empathy.
