The California Science Center is a FREE museum with lots to learn about. From the body to space, water to air, this museum has it all. The exhibits are laid out nicely and everything has a good flow to it. An amazing place to take young children and grown adults alike. There is so much to do and experience that it takes hours to see it all. The staff are very knowledgeable and kind. The museum stores are lacking, but that's what can be expected. 100% worth a trip.

Free Museum in Los Angeles !!! Huge, 3-storey museum, for adults and children! Here you can conduct experiments, touch everything, pull, listen, you can go into a special room and feel an earthquake of 5 points, find out everything about our planet, etc. There is also a cinema imax 8.50 $ adult. Ticket, 5.25 $ children's ticket). On the back of the museum is a huge free rose park with a pretty fountain!

A very nice place to walk with the family, children learn many things and the best part is that it is free, they also have a small aquarium and the children love it and why not? To the big ones too, they have playgrounds for the little ones, shop where they can get souvenirs, an excellent experience.

The Dogs exhibit was fun and interactive I recommend it for adults and kids. There was a lady working inside the painting area inside the exhibit that was very nice. There is also a rose garden within walking distance from the science center if you want to pack a lunch and eat it there.

Love the dog exhibition they had this year with the dogs. I'm a dog person so I enjoyed it. Also like how they add something new every year to there exhibits. Probably go back soon to check out the other exhibits. Mostly went to see the dog one.

A lot of great interesting exhibits, and general admission is free! The Space Shuttle Endeavor exhibit is not free and requires a ticket but it is definitely worth it. Buy tickets in advance as they do run out. If you get an IMAX film ticket, the Endeavor is included but be sure to hold onto your tickets! They also have a food court and the food is A-ok. They have a lot of exhibits about space and spacecraft, and they also have cool space capsules with re-entry burn marks and all. You can get up close and see the insides of the capsules as well.

Great museum. Only have to pay for parking and any special exhibits or IMAX. All the exhibits and displays were nicely done. Seemed like there was always something else to see. And athough there were tons of people there, it never felt overly crowded. Seeing the Endeavour and reading about all the different missions was awesome.

This place has special childhood memories for me, but even so I have to say I'm more and more impressed every time I come. Nothing is better than a free museum, and even the stuff you have to pay for is reasonably priced. Great place for kids or adults, plus see one of the few remaining space shuttles. Worth a visit, or ten.

I recently went to the new exhibit, "Dogs! A Science Tail" and I loved it! They had great exhibits suitable for all ages with fun and interactive lessons. I absolutely recommend this museum for anyone and everyone, regardless of age.

Never ceases to amaze me, this place! Took the kids on a field trip here.
Bring cash for parking, around $12.
Entry is just a simple donation which helps fund the cost of running it or free. You pick.
There's a food court you can buy from or you can pack your own lunch and have a picnic on the benches inside or outside or on the grass.
There's multi levels of things to do, see, feel, explore and learn! We got in the hurricane machine and it was 'a blast' ...see what I did there lol?
Ultimately you leave the place feeling full, like you gained a ton of hands-on knowledge.
Oh just a side note:
They always have an expo going on. King Tut is usually featured.
However, a few years back they had the Dead Sea Scrolls. You have to pay extra to get into an expo, but boy I'll tell you what, it was worth every penny!
As we entered the calm, dark, cool room, an overwhelming emotion of connection between us and a piece of biblical ancient history, took over our bodies. Every hair stood as we silently gazed in awe of the Scrolls. Slowly walking the floor to see each ripped piece of scripture felt thunderous in our hearts. Like we was being forced to breathe deep as our lungs were rejecting the air out of pure emotional overload.
Trust me.
Worth it.
So if you get a chance to attend an expo, it'll be pretty cool.

It's free admission. What is there to complain about. I would say 4 years old is the minimum age to enjoy this. Some stuff doesn't work and some stuff is the same from 20 years ago. But it's free and there is plenty to do with kids and visiors. You can go walk around in the rose garden and enjoy all the Mexican street vendors too.

One of my favorite museums in Los Angeles! All the exhibits are a lot of fun. This is a fantastic place to bring family for a day of fun. The interactive exhibits make this place even more fun and the bicycle suspended on a wire is awesome. The best new addition to this place is the Space Shuttle Endeavor. This is a must see!

The "Dogs" exhibit sucked. I love going to the science center but they need to detail their exhibits online. Inform the public if it's an exhibit geared towards kids. Everything I saw at the "Dogs" exhibit I learned on animal planet, nat geo, or personal experience with my own dogs. Save your $10 unless you have a small child.

Great science museum with awful lack of parking.
There are life discovery, space, water sections and other. IMAX shows are awesome. Take few minutes to visit gift shop, there is some good stuff in it.
The place is donation-based so be prepared to estimate how much you can leave (they do have recommendations though).
The parking is paid and awful, we spent at least 30 minutes to find althe spot.

Very fun and interactive. The kids had a blast. The one thing I was disappointed with was how old some of the exhibits were. They had 1990 s computers and even though they worked the graphics were horrible to today s standards. We enjoyed seeing seeing the Endeavor and there was a dog exhibit when were were there that my 8 year old daughter really liked. Overall a good experience.

Really an interesting place. Much to discover and try out. Perfect to acquire knowledge exciting and gain countless impressions. The different restaurants are a bit expensive for what they offer. I recommend food outside. In addition, some are extremely many school classes there ... a huge noise. ^^

Fun
