Super interesting. There are things for everyone to enjoy.
Very crowded. So much to see need more than one trip
Cool museum . Free admittance . Great for kids too . Shuttle endeavor is here !
A lot of the exhibits are outdated or broken but it's awesome that it's free
Exhibits were awesome. Food was blah. I asked for no onions, as my girlfriend is allergic and the onion oils will make her throat will swell shut. Below is the picture.
love this place , but too disorganized too many kids all over the place screaming and touching , finger prints every place , and unable to take pictures .
Staff nice and friendly. Fun place to visit for adults and children.
Very slow line to get tickets. They need a kiosk for self checkin.
They have a lot of cool interactive exhibits. Pretty awesome outside tank ecosystem - they even have a pretty massive piston to simulate waves.
How can you rate seeing a space shuttle in 'real life,'?! Awesome
King tuts stuff was awesome , wish the mask was there
Excellent place for the whole family; even better if you have kids.
Also you can buy a ticket for IMAX movie they have a good documentary for affordable price.
Seeing the Endeavor shuttle after it's long journey to where it now lies is really amazing, there is also cool movies always showing when it's open
horrible exhibit. nothing worked. no refunds. don't do it.
Cool Endeavour rocket, great staff who are really well informed.
Great facility and great exhibits the parking is horrible for handicap people but I won't let that hold back on a great review of the facility
Love this place took my girls there all the time so much to do. Free unlike the museums in San Diego.
Love this place! The family has been coming here for years. One of our favorites is visiting their IMAX theater with amazing bite size 45 minute 3D movies; one of the few "real" and massive IMAX screens left in California. Since we have a little one in tow who's not quite old enough to sit through the movies, the wife and I always have shifts. The wife will catch an IMAX screening while I watch the little one by taking him to one of the exhibits and vice versa, problem solved! For the little ones, I recommend the Discovery Room upstairs on the 3rd floor in the Creative World exhibit. It has hands on fun that ll keep any infant or toddler busy. Lastly, the food Is your basic amusement park fare with pizza and hamburgers etc., but if you re vegetarian, they have a decent veggie burrito.
We love this place! Our family has come to this museum for years. The best is IMAX cinema with its giant screen 45 min 3D movies; One of the biggest screens in California.
We have a 2 year old boy, he is not ready to watch movies / documentaries of this kind, my wife and I split up. My wife is going to watch the movie and I go with the child to see the exhibition or vice versa, problem solved!
I recommend the "Discovery Room" that is upstairs on the 3rd floor in the "Creative World Exhibit" and children can play and play with all the materials and scientific activities they have there. They entertain a lot!
Finally, the museum has several restaurants of hamburgers, pizzas, tacos, salads and if you are a vegetarian, they have very rich burritos ...
Incredible museum. With a lot of new and interesting things
Great free place to take the kids but be ready to spend money at the gift shops. Ohh keep in mind the parking is now $12!!
My children are delighted with the fish, everything in order.
Wonderful museum. Admission is free, but must pay extra for certain exhibits like King Tut the day I went. A few exhibits seem a little dated and can be improved. It was a joy to see the Space Shuttle! Overall a great time.
I went to the Science Center while visiting with family in Los Angeles. My primary focus was the King Tut exhibit, which was truly remarkable. Very well executed displays with excellent viewing space and clear explanation of the artifacts. Kudos to the teams at the Egyptian Museum and the Science Center for the outstanding collaboration on this one of a kind exhibit.
I must also say that I spent a hour or so exploring some of the other exhibits at the center, and found them wonderfully interactive, well organized, and very user friendly. I particularly enjoyed the exhibits of the various climate environments around the world! It was fun trying to pick up food like a bird, watch a flash flood in the desert, guess why certain animals evolved the way they did, and even see LA as an environment unto itself. A special bonus was the student created artwork at the exit point of this exhibit that followed groups of elementary and middle school children in LA, Colombia, and 2 Native populations through a study of Rain Forest habitats. Kudos for the focus on the kids!
Interesting fun place to take your family, friends or date. The parking is $12 and the admission to the science center is free, you do have to pay extra for IMAX theater, space shuttle Endeavour and or any of the special exhibitions but they aren't expensive (I believe there's a membership you could get but I'm not to familiar with that). Best time to go is around noon because in the morning you'll see a few more school fields trips and it will be a little more crowded, they have a food court and restroom are always clean.
I like taking my toddler to the Discovery Room she gets a lot of hands on learning which is always fun.
Overall a great place to learn about science and space and have a very enjoyable fun time.
Fishes aren't in perfect conditions, and some things were broken and not replaced, in some stands, but the Endeavour is AMAZING! And the shape of the big tank is really beautiful and lets you see well the fishes.
Great place to visit and explore with your children!
It was asome the king tut exibit was the best the only thang i did not like is I felt rushed
It is a great experience for children and adults. You can learn a lot from the people who supply you with the knowledge and information.
Wow! I would definitely recommend this place as a top pick attraction in Los Angeles. There is so much to see and do it is a great pick for both children and adults.I would try to get here early though and plan to spend the whole day because it takes a long time to go through the museum's.
Very interesting, although some "games" scientists are a bit old, it remains a detail!
Almost all projects can be hands-on. I will never tell you the answer stiffly, reason with facts, the education method is very good
Definitely interesting. It's free, so why not visit. They do accept donations.
It is good to be able to study while playing with children ...
The Museum was super fun! And it's free for permanent exhibits. The Aquarium was my favorite part. Definitely worth checking it out. Definitely better than other aquariums where you have to pay and they are small.
They have a lot of activities for kids and grown up as well!!!
Great family destination stop very friendly staff. Guest will not be disappointed with visit especially with Endeavour and IMAX
The general admission is totally free and the museum is great mainly for the animal exhibitions, but I must say that I think one of the iguanas in the desert area was dead, even other visitors also stopped to see if the iguana was breathing, but there was no movement in his chest. There are also animals that should have a larger space like the vulture, which looked decayed.
I really wish I could give this place more stars, but after my sons iPad was stolen here and staff were less than eager to help (not even take my number just in case it s magically returned), even the officer was not interested . This was our first taste of LA as visitors and it certainly puts a bad taste in your mouth. It s hard to enjoy the magnificent Endeavour when you have an upset child sad he couldn t take photos and add to his journal.
Exhibits 5/5
Staff 1/5
Great for families lots of fun activities and things to see.
Wonderful day! Its a must take forfamilies with kids.
Great exhibitions in a welcoming institution, with an Imax movie theater and a real Space Shuttle - the Endeavour.
I love this place they have a fish tank sharks the even feed the sharks where you're visiting the museum They have be endeavor space shuttle they have a lot of cool things a lot of the Apollo Missions They have a jellyfish make a sharks turtles they got desert tortoise is they have a room full of bugs We have Science experiments that you could check out Which is really awesome you will have a lot of fun there
It's excellent. They have a space shuttle and its absolutely amazing engine on display.
That lone rs25 engine is worth the price of admission.
The location definitely sucks.
But that engine... It's the pinnacle of rocket engine design in all technical measures.
Every if the natural world exhibits aren't your thing, the aerospace is mind-blowing.
Must visit this when in California...so many activities for the kids...free admission...imax movie was great (reasonable fee for the movie)..staff was great...there is a parking fee..you can easily spend an entire day here as they have 3 floors worth of exhibits and lastly 2 things i loved the most...space shuttle endeavor (the real deal) that is parked here and that veggie burger in the cafeteria:)
Low price, very nice place, near the university city. Bring sweatshirt, 120% air conditioning!
Great science areas, enjoyed the shuttle exhibit, only complaint is that a number of the interactive things were out of order
Awesome Place!! Always a bunch of cool stuff happening here and great vibes.
Nice place to take your kids, make sure you take good walking shoes. Parking is $12.00 CASH Only..
A great family friendly place for any age. Very hands on activities that the whole family can enjoy.
Went for the King Tut exhibit. It was absolutely worth it! As a bonus, got in to see the Endeavor. Totally worth the trip.
I was treated with little to no respect by the employees there and was chaos in the summer time with camp kids who were out of control do not recommend going to the science museum at all if I could do a 0 out of 5 stars I would do that
Excellent place and the entrance is free, you can only donate what you like
The Science Center is really fun! It has a lot of exhibits, and admission is free. The only parts that cost money are the temporary exhibits, the movies, and a few activities like a flight stimulation. Almost all the areas have a bunch of levers and wheels you can turn, which makes it more fun for little kids. There is a food court and a gift shop.
More of a kids playground than anything for adults but that's probably obvious. Was hoping it was a bit more broadly appealing.
A beautiful, historic theatre. They are always showing great movies and have a number of events, including Sing-A-Longs, which I highly recommend. One of the things I love about this theatre? They still use film prints for some of the movies they show. You have to come here if you haven't already.
The science center has so many displays for kids and it's free. The Space Shuttle admission is $3 and parking is $12. They had a bunch of stuff on flight, the multiple ecosystems ( with animals) and a food court if you get hungry. Be prepared to be there all day if you have kids.
Great place for entire family to learn & experience science
Really cool and nice buy imax tickets for full expirience
