Great with kids. A lot of fun, free, and, a nice and great museum of Endeavour (for a small fee)
Great with kids. A lot of fun, free, and, a nice and great museum of Endeavour (for a small fee)
Love it, I go there like 2 times in the month with my children. They love it.
Great experience for all. Amazing place with well experienced service.
Love it & recommends
In the scientific center there are enough interesting exhibits. Much attention is paid to the topic of aircraft.
but the most interesting and informative are popular science films in the IMAX format. from options movie about dogs and about space exploration. I chose the latter and did not regret at all. high quality and well done.
and in the center there is where to rest and eat.
Free Science Museum. Many stands for children to study the laws of physics.
Of interest to adults, there are spaceships that have traveled to space and returned to earth.
The Space Shuttle is here, that alone should be enough reason for you to visit!
Great exhibit (King Tut 100th). Very fascinating facts and informative movie Staring Omar Sharif (Mysteries of Egypt). Seeing the Endeavour up close was AWESOME!!!
Outstanding museum exhibits. Always a place to go in southern California. Free museum. Only parking has a cost. The space shuttle Discovery is here.
Amazing place to spend the day for kids and adults, surprising good food court.
Amazing experience every time we go. The Pixar Exhibit is excellent. The kids really enjoy themselves and have e great time, every time.
Great place to take small kids. You pay for parking but the museum is free with lots of additional features you pay for. Don't let that discourage you though, there's tons of things to see. The layout is a little confusing but exploring is half the fun and the staff is pretty helpful.
Very disappointed that their website hasn't been updated with the sold out days! I was in the process of purchasing my tickets, on my way there, paid for parking, when the science center website said it wasn't sold out or the signs outside claiming it was sold out. The website kicked me out and didn't let me finish my transaction. I called asking for help and they had made me aware that those tickets had been sold out for 3 days, even though their website claimed it wasn't and let's you purchase tickets. I called the supervisor to see what can be done, but she could of cared less to help me. Granted I told her we are in the air force and visiting from Alaska, so with my limited time, I drove over there with the misconception of being able to see the exhibit. Thus wasting 3 hours of my time. Thank you, science center for valuing your military!!!
This was a great spot for my daughters! One 9 and one 16. Both loved it and it was definitely a full day!
He is where I had such great experience to say hello to Zahi Hawass also had the opportunity to have a book signed by him, the exhibition of King Tut was amazing with lots of original objects, also the Center offers other activities
Interesting exhibits easy access off metro rail line station
Went to IMAX (amazing) and King Tut exhibit (beautiful and informative). Only complaint is how the exhibit was in two locations of the building...a little confusing. But staff was helpful.
It was awesome! My class went there today! There's a rot room, ice room, aquarium, and a desert room! Saw ice cream man! I just wanted some ice cream! :D
I love this place just recently I attended to the King Tut exhibition
Great museum, only thing is a lot of exhibits were broken/not working. Needs a little updating.
I feel that they should clean a little, it's dusty most things ...
My kids love going to these museum. We all have fun abs we pay parking and some exhibits that the kids want to see. Worth it because some times they just want to go and see the free stuff.
Incredible display! I've never seen anything like it before.
Simply an amazing place to bring your child to. Its a learning experience and not far from home.
A Wonderful, must see place for all kids and grown kids !
Very interesting Everything. I had the pleasure of being there
Thank you. the Angels
Really interesting events in here, theres always an exhibit changing and bringing new knowledge for young kids and adults, people of all ages can enjoy this beautiful place.
Really enjoyed the King Tut Exhibit.... Was very excited to see the new pieces... I saw the exhibit in 1978.. and was glad to have the opportunity to see it again.... Also Space Shuttle Endeavor was awesome as well ... Wish we had more time to see other Exhibit s
Tons of exhibits, lots of interactive stuff for the whole family, one of three space shuttles to have gone into orbit, aquariums and special shows.
I take my family here several times a year. Great exhibits, cool staff, we never tire of this museum. IMAX is a bonus, great movies.
Wonderful. Went an early morning during the week to avoid crowds. The highlight was of course the space shuttle Endeavour, which was the main reason I went. I also tried the IMAX cinema which was amazing quality-wise but the documentary I saw was meh so I would advise checking reviews first. Entrance is free. Parking nearby is cheap, plenty and was fairly empty (again, i went during a weekday)
This is the best museum in Los Angeles for kids. This place has absolutely wonderful exibits for all ages. There are actually several museums on the property, an imax theatre and beautiful rose gardens.you can go to any of the museums and then let the kids run around the rose gardens and adjacent fountains. The coloseum and the newest los angeles soccer stadium is also at the park so you could easily check out a game while you are here. I would very highly recommend this museum and surrounding exposition park.
Love this FREE science museum. They have great, affordable homeschool classes.
Truly worth visiting if you want to see one of the important pieces of human's space exploration - space shuttle Endeavour. Admission is free, and the docent did a great job welcoming us and giving up a brief overview of the exhibit.
It was fun for my children and educational a lot to see and learn
We loved it! We came from Long Beach to visit it and we're happy we did. It was awesome! Took lots of pictures!!!
We love coming here. Our kids are young but they always have a blast!
A lot of fish to see will enjoy the big giant fish tank
Really had a great time on my daughter field trip much better from my last visit
It's a fun, interesting place. There is so much to see.
Great for kids. 2 adults, was good. Seeing the shuttle was cool. Easy from metro.
what a wonderful place!, please before arrive reserve online all the expositions usually the same day are soldout at the place.
The museum is a bit outdated. But majority of the exhibition is free.
I wish they would charge for an entry fee and use the funds to update / modernize the museum.
Just saw the Pixar exhibit and the Endeavor space shuttle due to time constraints. Enjoyed the Pixar exhibit.
Great museum, we went to see the King Tut exhibit and the Space Ship Endeavor, which was truly remarkable to see in person. I think that they close too early in the day, but 5pm seems to be a regular museum closing time, so can t really complain.
This place is cool. It has a space shuttle. Do you need anything else?
A wealth of learing and interactive things to do.can spend the entire day and still not see it all.
The California Science Center is still one of the best family-friendly museums around. There are so many interactive exhibits that make learning fun. They currently house the Space Shuttle Endeavor and are displaying one of the largest King Tut artifacts exhibit. Exposition Park also has the Natural History Museum and the African American Museum, the famous Rose Garden and the L.A. Memorial Coliseum. A childhood favorite of mine and my boys enjoy it now also.
I absolutely enjoyed my first visit here with family!! Admission is free although there are a few attractions that have a fee to participate in, everything is reasonably priced. ($3 to enter endeavour, $8 VR Flight Simulator, ect.) Parking is $12, if you plan to come on the weekends, plan to come early to have more time to explore all the exhibits and many other museums and attractions at the surrounding park. Also make sure that you visit endeavour space shuttle, it's absolutely breathtaking and so cool to see in person, especially knowing it has traveled in space!! They also show an awesome video of how the endeavour shuttle was transported to it's current home. Definitely something to see in person!!!
Kids love it, a good place for the whole family, lots to see.
Took my son to California Science Center because he want to be spaceship. Fun place for toddler to learns many educations course there
5 stars for the space exhibits alone, and the Space Shuttle!!
Fun and educational place to visit, but can get crowded. Especially during the summer.
Loved this place, most interesting displays, Imax film and flight simulator. You can walk all around and under the Shuttle Endeavor. Parking convenient. So many other things to see. Did not have time to see it all but will return.
The science center was really fun, I had a great time. There are a ton of exhibits ranging from animal habitats to space. This museum has a lot of fun things for kids to do as well. If you are interested in interesting things, I would come here.
Must visit place for Science enthusiast...and the movie.....!!!1 Great experince
The space shuttle was great and also the other part of the free accessible exposition is really good.
Nice to see a museum like this in Central LA. General admission is free but disappointing to find that several exhibits, particularly for kids, charge. The IMAX here is quite impressive.
Fun for the kids. Cool stuff! Even has a space ship from NASA!
Whats not to love? Be sure to vidit the rose garden.
I've been coming here since I was a toddler. I love the remodeling they have done over the past couple of years.
The center is large and clean. Unfortunately, the tour guides need much better training, especially in the tide pool and ocean zone out side. The setup of the line was so disorganized and the staff seemed to be oblivious that they were young children waiting in line, but they did not move the tour along so other people could get a chance to see and touch the tide pools. I don't think I have high expectations, I think they are pretty reasonable. I worked as a tour guide so when I see others who are totally unaware it makes me feel like there is a serious lack of customer service. It was a Sunday so they were more people, but not enough to be neglected, it doesn't excuse the bad service. My 4 year old son enjoyed himself but lost interest and some of the activities. Also, don't come here, expecting to see much animals in the desert room. The best part was the really nice aquarium feature. Food is pricey garbage, bring your own or get something before hand. Also annoying ppl trying to sell junk and snacks outside the entrances. Just ok.
I went to the King Tut: Treasures of the Golden Pharaoh exhibit. All the tickets were sold out for the day. I had to wait about 30 minutes in line before viewing the exhibit. All the jewelry pieces were very pretty. The artifacts found in the coffin of Tutankhamun were very cool as well. I enjoyed the exhibit overall.
Very fun place and totally free if you don't go for the extra events.
The awesome exhibits and amazing educational experiences make it a memorable and knowledgeable experience every time! Plus the history of the location is magnificent!
Excellent place to take the kids out for a day, and also see special exhibits
I loved how hands on and engaging so much of this place is; especially for kids.
Very fun almost free except parking. The gift store was very expensive 20 dollar shorts 9 dollar jellyfish key chains. I guess they have to make their money somewhere.
