Best place to take your kids when they have serious cabin fever or when friends are in town. Always something new to explore. Parking has gone up, so take public transportation if you don't mind paying $15 for parking.

Went for the King Tutankhamun exhibit and it was amazing and beautiful. It is just mind bending to imagine how old the world these items came from was. And then to see how much we have in common leads to some fun speculation. Lots of material to imaging all sorts of stories and tons of information with all the exhibits to put everything in perspective.
My advice? Spring for the audio tour, it really takes this exhibit to the next level. Totally worth it!!

An overrated museum that needs to update it's science exhibits that is unworthy of having a space shuttle on display. Now that I've gone I can't think of anything that would make me go back.

The California Science Center is the best value there is when it comes to museums in Los Angeles. Massive improvements are always underway and the museum is always worth a visit. Consider becoming a member!

Great to take kids and adults too :-) great educational trip. Pretty much free everything except special galleries. $12 cash only parking fee thats is a whole day of fun. We bring our own food since my kids are picky. Not much choices for food, and cost a fortune. Winner mom here Highly recommended

Excellent place to bring kids and out of town guests. They have many interactive displays and exhibits. My favorite exhibit is the kelp forest tank. The best thing about the Science Center is that it is FREE!

Loved this place. I visited with my 7 yr old son and we both loved all the exhibits. There is so much to see and learn for kids and adults both. The best part is the spacecraft Endeavor. The simulator rides are great, but note that the pricing for simulators changes in different levels.
Food court offers good inexpensive food. There is an IMAX as well.
The admission to the Science centre is free, but donations are appreciated.

if you visit make sure to see Space Shuttle Endeavour, separate ticket to enter the Shuttle part of the center is needed. enjoyed the movie about how the shuttle was welcomed by LA and hosted by the CSC.

Fun for every age. Tons of child friendly activities and hands on experiences. Well organized and helpful and friendly staff. Limited on food choices so maybe pack a lunch and eat on the benches near the rose garden. The garden is very romantic and a great place to take pictures.

I remember going to the California Science Center as a younger kid; and seeing how much it has grown and taught people all over Southern California brings me lots of joy! I hope this place continues to grow, educate, and introduce people from all over to new concepts and a greater interest in science <3

One of my favorite museums to this day. They have so many exhibits and interactive displays. They almost always have some type of spacial exhibit going on through or the year. They also have the Endeavor space shuttle which is amazing. Parking is $12 but the museum is free entry. Definitely worth the visit!

Had an awesome time at the King Tut exhibit. Also viewed the space shuttle Endeavor. The food court prices were reasonable, but the quality was poor. Good thing I didn't go for the food!

A must visit while in Los Angeles. This was our first visit. I was very impressed at the quality of the exhibits, the amount of exhibits, and that it was free admission! They're adding a new exhibit so we will have to return when they're done.

Awesome place to visit. Parking was convenient and nearby with places to eat. The only negative is the amount of people with running kids during peak times. I advise going on a weekday to avoid huge crowds.

Amazing!!!! Great for adults and kids it was pretty big. My favorite thing was getting to see the preserved hearts, brains ect. The only thing I didn't like was Tess mainly because the robots like that tend to freak me out. But even tho it still deserves 5 stars!

This is an educational and fun place to visit. They offer hands on exhibits for all ages. Elevators for those with physical challenges. The food court has plenty to offer including delicious pizza. Staff is friendly, informed and inclusive. You can easily spend a full day here.

Amazing and gigantic place to visit. The displays are fabulous, extensive, very informative. The original space shuttle is there now, too, along with the final existing gas tank from the space program. Fascinating. The Rose Garden is amazing over a hundred and fifty varieties of roses, around 300 plants. Beautiful fountain outside. The food court has really good food, as well.
