I took my kids and husband for the first time to this museum and not only were the staff rude but the museum seemed disorganized. We have been to other Science museums in Ca and in Ohio which were very organized and gave people information as they walked through. This museum in LA was probably the worse experience we ve encountered by far. I m hoping the Natural Museum is not the same way. I m hoping after this review the museum gives their staff more training on how to handle large crowds, kids, and a better understanding of the information of what they are showing people. The museum itself is huge but everything is everywhere. I just wish it was easier to walk through this museum and not have to go through different portals of space exhibits. Why isn t it all on one floor to make the walk through easier? The museum on a Monday was complete Chaos and expect to see large crowds.

Plenty to do. They even have a huge aquarium and of course a space shuttle. Lot of exhibits and plenty to learn. And best of all, it is all free. There is a small fee for the space shuttle but it is practically free ( 2 dollars last time I was there).

Awesome awesome place for kids! So interactive where everything you learn about you learn with fun! Would recommend to anyone looking for a great day for super cheap... ITS FREE!! The only downside in my opinion is the technology and some interactions are extremely outdated and old almost to the point of an eye sore. Other than that, phenomenal!

The endeavor exhibition is great. The crowd control was good within the exhibits. Too many people during the afternoon. Enjoy your day in the morning and avoid the crowd. Make reservations for endeavor and special exhibits.

I would say it's mainly for introducing children to science, and it's very good at that. The most astounding discovery, if you're from elsewhere, is that the museum owns an actual space shuttle and booster tank. They are just tremendously huge, and make you wonder how it was possible to fly such things. The shuttle exhibit costs 2 bucks and is worth it.

This a the perfect place to take your children to learn about the world, animals, technology, and many more subject on how everything works and operates. It is a little dated when it comes to a lot of models but the explanation of all subjects are still to date. They have a food court that is pretty pricey but they have everything there to enjoy the whole day.

Great place for kids of any age! There's even a small aquarium area and station where kids can touch marine life. The Endeavor was cool, but disappointed we couldn't see inside it, not really worth the $3 ticket price to just walk around under it. The rest of the museum was awesome, but the little extras throughout are all too expensive (rock wall, balance bike, shuttle simulator, etc.), should be half those prices to do them, they'd get a LOT more money from tourists and museum visitors if the dropped the prices.

Had an extremely negative experience with a staff member today, which left me very shaken and seriously questioning whether I will return with my son. "Nettie" who was working in the childrens' toy room, forced us to leave because we had apparently entered through the wrong door... I understand that it was intended to be the exit (first time visiting, so I missed it), but it was first thing in the morning, the kids' area AND the entire exhibit outside the kids' area were completely empty, and the two doors were right next to each other. There was no conceivable reason she couldn't have said "please just use that other door next time." My toddler had run in ahead of me and started playing, but she got in my face and made me pick him up kicking and screaming, and literally go back out the door we came, stroller and all, and come back in through the other door RIGHT NEXT TO the first. The doors were the same; the exit had no special feature. It took a long time for my son to stop sobbing, and calm down and recover from the upset. May I repeat that the doors were right next to each other, the room and larger area were completely empty, we were inconveniencing no one, and there was no logical reason for us to use one door over another. Her decision to go on an arbitrary and completely senseless power trip ruined our day's experience.

I have service dog who is trained to bark when I'm going in a seizure to alert someone to help me, when I was going through the entrance they ask me what he is trained to do, I told them and the lady goes on her walkie-talkie tells the other employees I'm in there w/ my dog. As I m walking along looking at the space stuff Bubba barked only once he senses when my headaches that trigger my seizures starts he was just telling me to slow down and take it easy. Then this very very rude lady walks up to and said that and I quote "This is your last warnging you'll have to leave next time he barks." She or anybody else never gave me any kind of "warning". I was so insulted and angry I just left never got to go to the aquarium (the whole point of me going to there. So disappointed

I have a 1 year old and there were plenty of kid zones and exhibits where he could be hands on and that were meant for toddlers! He especially liked the ocean exhibit and the human body toddler section. Great FREE family event. Just gotta pay for parking ($12 cash only).

I needed more time! You could easily spend an entire day here if science and technology is your thing.

If you're in LA and you're even remotely interested in space, you have to check out the Space Shuttle Endeavor. It's awe inspiring.

The King Tut exhibit is a sight to see as well (I think it ends at the start of 2019). Highly recommended to all, just keep an eye on your kids as the alarms went off a few times due to some overly eager individuals :P
