So lucky to have had 3 cakes made by Carol. Two 21st birthday cakes and our own Wedding cake. Not only are the cakes created to a very high standard, they also taste delicious. Cakes by Carol is definitely the place to go if you want a bespoke design as Carol will sit down with you to discuss what you would like and a bonus is that you can get to taste the all the flavours before choosing which is your favourite.

Carol is amazing at what she does. Her cakes are fantastic, they look great and taste great. Carol has done many birthday cakes and also our wedding cake last year, never disappoints. She is quick to answer any questions and has some amazing ideas to help you decide what you want.

I have had 4 x cakes from Carol and everyone has been amazing not just the design (which is always amazing) but the taste. Great communication. Highly recommended. My 5th cake already on order.

Carol made the most fabulous cupcakes for my daughter's baby shower last weekend. Each cake was individually decorated to the highest standard of artistry. I use the Sharp Edge Smoother almost daily in my professional cakemaking business and it has dramatically cut down the amount of time it takes to achieve a flawless finish with super sharp edges. I bought a Sharp Edge Smoother from Carol. It is a well made and heavy duty smoother. I have to say it has taken my cakes to the next level. The finish you can achieve with ease due to it's 90o angle and transparency is amazing. I used to get a funny lip on the top edge of my cakes or it curved in a bit, none of that anymore! This smoother is great for beginner to competition level. Thank you Carol xx

I have never had the pleasure of tasting one of Carol s cakes (it s on my bucket list) but I do have a Sharp Edge Smoother. It s AMAZING. Sharp cake edges in a matter of minutes, and I LOVE it. Carol also made my mums wedding cake specifically personalised to them including the smallest details of the print on their flipflops. They still have all the small decoration pieces of icing framed in their lounge.

Having had my confidence knocked via a local wedding venue I contacted Carol and arranged to have a 1:1 lesson with her. I had previously bought the Sharpe edged smoother and loved the result I was getting with it.... then lockdown happened.
Following lockdown Carol arranged a socially distanced, covid safe lesson. She was amazing, so patient, answered my many questions .
I have been doing cakes for 9 years on & off , but now I do them that much better and have belief in myself.

ABSOLUTELY APPALLING CUSTOMER SERVICE We waited 1 month for a Cake Smoother to arrive and when we enquired as to its whereabouts (very politely I might add) we were immediately greeted with an accusational tone, questions such as well how will I know if a replacement arrives?! (you send it tracked Carol, come on, you re in business selling via the internet, this is your bread and butter). Carol s website to place the order wasn t working initially, so after a phone conversation with Carol she completed the order form herself, taking down the address incorrectly....which probably didn t have anything to do with item number 1 going awry but heck, if it did, that was obviously our fault. Carol went so far as to phone our landlady! Which seemed like a breach of privacy....but wouldn t you know, our landlady didn t know the whereabouts of the missing item either and nor was she in on any plot to steal a piece of acrylic...). Carol certainly wasn t complimentary about us on the phone to our landlady, suggesting that because we d simply asked for a replacement product so we had what we paid for, we d been rude. How very dare we expect to receive the product we d paid for and waited patiently for?! Eventually, Carol conceded she would consider sending a replacement as a goodwill gesture (no actually, Carol, it s our statutory right to receive a product purchased from you online; if you ve got beef with Royal Mail because they lost the product that s on you; you contracted them to provide delivery, we contracted you to provide a product). Goodness....we love supporting small businesses (we pointed this out to Carol when we were in correspondence) but she didn t make it easy to support hers! Struth - avoid avoid avoid.

My second order from Carol. THE best cakes ever! Customer service is excellent - nothing is too much trouble. Highly recommended. You won't be disappointed.

Incredible must have tool. The Sharp edge is my favourite go to cake tool, make covering cakes so much effortless and gives a professional finish every time.

I purchased the sharp edge smoother and it is fantastic! Such a brilliant tool, it s easy to use and gives perfect results every time! I ve also been lucky enough to see Carol s cakes up close and her work is exquisite! She s very talented and skilled artist!

I have ordered several cakes from this business, Carol has never been anything but wonderful. When I needed last minute to take to Antigua Carol was busy but accommodated my request, it was fabulous. Always get tailor made and they taste amazing- I need more celebrations!
