Horrible school plenty of drugs and overall bad learning

Bad sports, shouldn t be called a public school. Looks abandoned. Ridgewood is way better

I am a proud Mother Guerin alum who received a great education at Mother Guerin, one of the founding schools of Guerin Prep. My Guerin education allowed me to go forward and be successful both in college and then my graduate studies. I see the same successful students coming out of Guerin Prep now who are able to excel and go far in life thanks to the education they received at 80th and Belmont. I am forever a proud member of the GUERIN family!

Great school, teachers are caring and students receive a great education.

Overdemanding of its students. Attempts to control all aspects of student's lives that enter there, creating a seemingly hostile learning environment. Such an environment is not good for learning and the laptops serve as a distraction rather than an aid.

Controlling of students. Worry's too much about dress code than about making student life better. Fires and let's good staff and faculty go. Keeps bad teachers. Underpays good teachers. Wastes money on football team that there is a lack of. Does not give enough money to the arts department (theatre, band, art fundamentals), or sports that have earned a good reputation that should be funded more. Overall whomever is running guerin prep, is a money corrupted dictator. If you want to imagine life at this school, imagine a typical and cliche high school movie where money hungry principal only cares about the mediocre football team while the rest of the school is shoved into a basement and they call it a day. Things need to change before this school closes down.

julia micorek is the only good student in the whole school
