This was my first time here. We came to celebrate my boyfriends birthday. We had a good time food was very good which was a buffet that night. The game room was ok but they do have pool tables which we liked only thing they were very dusty and dirty. Overall had a really good time and we look forward to returning again.

Over all the stay was good. We are forever lovers and have been coming there for 13 yrs. We decide to stay in the lakeside villa for something new. We loved the view from the room and being able to sit out on the deck. Our room did have a few issues. The Jets came on in,the jacuzzi but didn't have any pressure so,we didn't get to enjoy . Also the shower squirted every where when taking a shower. The staff was excellent as always.
This place has so many activities. We loved it and had a ton of fun. Between racket ball, pool tables, the night club, archery, trails, biking, fishing, mini golf ect. They also have activities daily with prizes, a haunted house and hayride (which we missed due to weather). The dinners were great. Everything made fresh. All included in our room package which had an indoor swimming pool in our room! Awesome! The only reason I didn't do a 5 star is because the room was left with tape all over the walls, dust, crust on the carpet, (and confetti) also our stary sky in the room didn't work. Oh and cold breakfast both days (maybe they need better heaters for the buffet). Just needs better house keepers in my opinion. Beautiful scenery. Great wait staff and front desk help. I can't wait to go when the spa is open!
If you haven't been here, then I suggest you really consider making the trip. Our 2 hour drive was well worth it. We stayed a few days before and after the New Year and we absolutely loved it. We stayed in Diana's Oasis, which we loved. We then decided to extend our stay for an extra night and stayed in the Garden of Eden Apple room which had recently been upgraded (and it shows). Both rooms were beautiful, but we liked Diana's Oasis as it was a bit smaller and cozier for just the 2 of us. We got the all inclusive package and the food was excellent every night. The staff was so accommodating and friendly. The rooms were perfectly clean. We also took some day trips to a winery and brewery as the location allows for a ton of things to do during the day. The entertainment was alot of fun. Our CXO was Billy O and that man is a riot. All in all, if you want some quality time with your SO, and you've been thinking about visiting, you should. My wife and I both highly recommend it.
When my wife and I first looked at coming to Paradise Stream, or any Cove Haven Resort for that matter, the idea sounded great to us. Pictures looked great online and it seemed to be a concept we could have a lot of fun with. My wife had been so excited and talking about giving this place a shot that I decided to book a weekend for our anniversary this year. I gave this to my wife in an envelop and she was excited to open it and couldn't wait to visit. We made the 6 hour drive. We arrive and were checked in by the front desk with little to no wait and issues. We drove around to where our room was. Upon entering it was obvious the room was dated. Ok no big deal right we could probably get past that. However once we kept looking at things it got worse, there were stained ceiling tiles, rust spots all over the shower, sinks, champagne tub, etc. Mirrors were cracked and or chipped and the mirror coating was fading away. The light inside the in room pool was protruding from the wall, the pool had cracks and chunks missing from the concrete, there was an overhead light in the pool area almost falling out of the ceiling, the in room massage table had not been cleaned as was caked with dust and dirt. This room was extremely neglected. For the kind of money we were spending I just could not see the value. I could have booked a much nicer hotel room at a luxurious resort for the same price we were paying at Paradise Stream.
All I can say is ... LOVE! It s kinda old and rustic but ... I like that. It s part of the charm. I like how everyday is pre planned for you... there s literally an Itinerary for each day! Awesome! And ... food was amazing!
Reallly nice rooms. Very comfortable bed. Room and place was fed dated. Shower/faucet water had rotten egg smell. Was nice quiet place. And creek right.behind the room.
The first night was great and we loved everything about the room. The second day we had no hot water and the problem wasn't resolved until sometime in the middle of the night. Cold showers and no hot water for the Jacuzzi tub really put a damper on over half of our stay.
We liked this location the best. Staff was nice HOWEVER the food was absolutely the WORST. All the meals were cold, flavorless. This is a deal breaker for us. After 4 days of this we may not be coming back. We were planning on a trip with other couples in a few months and I'm embarrassed that I have suggested this location. YOU REALLY NEED TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT THE BREAKFAST AND DINNERS BEING OFFERED. . 1 SATURDAY LOBSTER TALE DOES NOT MAKE UP FOR WHAT WAS BEING SERVED. I could have gone with my husband on a real destination location and we came out to you guys. I'm sad that we waited so long to finally relax and this was we received.
Wonderful people. Needs more attention given to the in room pools in some of the rooms. The first room had algae in the pool and it took three complaints before we were moved to a different room.
This was a fabulous vacation for the two of us. For 67 yrs old couple we are doing activities we haven't done since forever. Love it here. From the rooms to the employees. Fabulous...thank! you!
Love it here. During covid you don't want to be around people, so to have your own pool hot tube and all you need accessible to your room makes the experience amazing. My wife and I are definitely enjoying our romantic get away! Thank you paradise stream
Quiet and secluded hotel great for a romantic get away. Heated pools and fireplaces in the rooms are a great feature. Had a nice relaxing getaway. Staff was pleasant and helpful.
I went the last 4th July. It was the worst vacations of our lives. Almost all the activities were closed. The customer service was not good. We asked for information to the receptionist (Andrea) about an activity from another property. She call and told us that the activity was not happening but later upon visiting the other property the activity did happen the day before. So either she was lying or poor communication. Also when we left we forgot a 200$ speaker in the night stand. After 2 hours of living the hotel we call them and they said that they didn t have anything. But it was in the room. So somebody took it. I don t recommend at all this hotel.
This place is amazing!! We only stayed for one night and I personally feel it would be better to stay a couple more. The staff is very helpful and polite!! Tons of free activities and events throughout your stay to partake in.
A great place to be an adult to experience and enjoy that special person. We will be back for sure. Next time the Champagne Tower. We enjoyed ourselves and will definitely be back. Don't let the negative reviews keep you away. I felt the breakfast was just ok but some folks loved it. Some found the Garden of Eden Apple Suites the worst but mine was just fine. Don't miss out on the experience. Go enjoy your special loved one and let them enjoy you!!!
Arrived at Pocono palace to be told they were having a brown water problem. So they sent us to Paradise Stream. One good thing is they upgraded our room but would have rather stayed at Pocono palace. The room was nice but the overall resort needs a much needed facelift. Wanted to shoot some hoops n all basketballs flat could go one but don't have time
After now having been guests at all three properties this was the quietest and offered much of the activities outside. The property also appears to have had the most recent updates and investment in redoing rooms and decorations, furniture etc. This one did not disappoint as the staff here from the spa to the CXO to the dining room were all as amazing as other properties. Dinners and breakfast given smaller seemed more specialty. For adult only fun you cant go wrong at any of the three.....
We went to Paradise Stream for our 28th wedding anniversary in September and had a FANTASTIC time!! This was our first time ever at a Poconos resort. Granted things were a bit dated, but that's part of the charm! Super Special shout out to our CXO (Chief Excitement Officer) Annie!! She was AWESOME!!! She kept us entertained during our entire stay!! She built a great relationship with all of the guests and truly made our stay the best it could be!! We met two great couples while we were there and hope to develop a continued friendship with them! We will DEFINITELY be coming back!!
The arcade room has several broken games that took our money and no signs were posted. We had no hot water and was unable to shower once we settled into our room at 9:30 pm. The manager Liz, was very accommodating and offer d us extended check out until 6 pm and complimentary dinner however our overnight experience was ruined. No shower no hot tub but we did thank her for doing the best she could.
I cannot stress how horrible this place is. If I could give them no stars I definitely would. At check in the TV didn't even work. Maintenance had to come & repair it. Immediately after we realized the bed was broken. They literally did nothing about it. We had to wedge towels underneath it to stop it from rolling across the room. The entire room was filthy & bedding was completely dirty. Customer service does not exist here they do not care at all. Walls were falling apart & floor tiles were lifting up. What a complete dump! It is nothing like what they advertise. We were scheduled to stay 3 days & checked out after day 1. I repeat do not waist your money here stay far far away.
We got a free upgrade when we got there! At first I was a bit disappointed because I liked the design of the original room but the room we were given turned out beautiful! Recently renovated, clean, roomy and romantic! Wonderful porch with a view of the lake, it was snowing at the time so sadly we didn't put it to use. The facilities were clean and the arcade was a nice size. The pool area was also quite sizable. I will definitely be back during the summer/springtime when we can do more outdoor activities! Thank you guys for such a nice stay!
This is really a paradise we completely loved it. We had the champagne tower suite it was amazing, it had a private heart chape pool, a champagne glass jacuzzi, a dry sauna. Breakfast and dinner where included and think they should improve the menu and add more options all just put a buffet but other than that everything was great.
The pool water was chilly. The bed was horrible. People in next room played music very very loud. Woman came around 1am to make them turn down. We were left with 3 towels and 2 washcloths. There MAY HAVE BEEN black mold on bathroom walls. Wasn't worth the money by any stretch.
I visit this place for my 10-year anniversary had a great time very friendly staff awesome activities however the place looks really outdated and my room was dirty and I got there two and a half hours after my check in so that was kind of disappointing however the staff was very accommodating and made sure they was on top of everything so that's the reason why I'm reading it A4
Bose CD player down, fixed following day. Cigarette burns on table from earlier times told to front desk. Shower door needed adjustment made to open/ close. Otherwise we had a great time here. First in edans apple previous two times in Diana's Oasis.
Excellent place for a couple's retreat. Nice and clean rooms. Great Entertainment and good food. The swimming pool in the room was nice, warm and relaxing. Book a room and experience it for yourself!
I chose Paradise Stream for a romantic getaway for my fiance and I for his birthday. Our check-in was smooth everyone was nice and polite. However, when we checked into our room a Champagne Tower suite rm 412 , we noticed that there were spider webs all over from the door all throughout the room hanging from the ceiling ,over the bed and in several corners. We found a few spiders in the room it looked like the room had not been cleaned properly. We brought things to clean the room. We had to call the maintenance person 3 times the heater was not working was told that it has to be reset so we let it run all night still cold called again the next day they replaced it sorry but it still did nott work! Also the heat lamp was busted the wire had to be replaced. Although we took pic my fiance did not want to complain. The plus was the Manager of the dinning area Chris was awesome he and the server Aaron.
Champagne suite smelled like cigarettes, disappointed there was no complimentary fire lid, champagne bucket or glasses. You could buy all of those in the gift shop
My husband and I are here for your 8 year dating anniversary and my 26th birthday. First impression coming here. Not much it was dark so we couldn't see anything. Low visibility when it comes to find I Nguyen where you are staying. Not enough signage when it comes to once you get to your location. We walked alllllll the way around the circle to fined we were at the begining just the other direction.
Haven't tried the buffet but did get dine in room food. Nachos a bit soggy but good. Humus platter tastey. Chicken fingers tastey but soggy fries. The asian Wings were out of this world! Red velvet cake with anazing! Not enough utensils though. Luckily I thought ahead and brought forks and spoons. No microwave as I had hoped which was a bummer since after the casino we were hungry for a midnight snack.
The room was very clean minutes the odd white hand Mark like stains on the couch.. bed is comfortable. Tons of pillows. Shower a bit small. Needs an updated toilet. The fact that there are no windows is awesome. However the lack of plugs is rediculous since I couldn't plug my phone in near the bed. The pool is smaller then pics much big enough for 6 maybe more. It's very warm like the description riptide says "heated pool". The heart shaped hot top is just wonderful and great for larger people. Didn't use the fireplace but looks great.
Casino just down the road makes this a wonderful treat since the casino hotel was double the price when I looked and has no Pool in the room.
Find those coupons and save money. This place is a gold mine!
Room was great. Only a few things. Papers we were given said they offered breakfast in bed, which they don't. No microwave in room and the on-site kitchen is kind of expensive and only has a lunch / appetizers menu. We did find hairs in our bathroom shower. Other than this my new wife and I had a great time. Fun entertainment, nice nature walk and great option of going to other resort activities free of charge.
We did not see the negative issues. The suite was the star of the show. We had a great time. This is not a negative review. Not at all.
I decided to upgrade to the Champagne Tower Suite just before we went. Not knowing if we would ever go back, I decided to try the top line suite that may be a little tacky. Why not? We had made fun of Cove Haven Resorts in our private conversations in the past. We stayed from March 8-11. We had read the many reviews and we were a little nervous about what we would find. I took our own extra items to make the best of a possibly bad situation. More on that in a bit.
Check in was smooth and easy. Explanations of meal times were given along with other basic information. Friendly. No problem.
We opened the door to our Champagne Tower Suite and . . . Clean smelling. Warm. Nice. As we walked around everywhere, still the same clean smell everywhere. Is it brand new? No. Is it a "dump?" Certainly not. The suite is the star of the show. Our own private love nest for a few nights. The two heaters definitely cranked out the heat. Important for a wife that is always cold and if clothing will be minnimal to non-existent. I commented frequently during our stay that our suite was the correct balance of sexual with respectful. You have your own private, indoor, heated, pool! Along with all the other amenities for ourselves.
Meals. In general, dinners and breakfasts were very good, fresh, plentiful. Maybe not as fancy as other places. But, bad? Not at all. I described dinners as not as heavily seasoned, which I normally like. The food flavor itself really comes out. Again, it was very good, and we didn't have to do anything but show up in the given time frame. Special note to Friday dinner and the "make your own fancy Ramaan noodle soup" bar. A chef was there to help you. Something we had never seen before, and it was fantastic. Many types of ingredients. We were fans. The dining room could have used another server or two. They were busy a couple times and the beverage refill was a little slow. Not tragic, just mentioning.
There were plenty of activities that were offered that we did not take advantage of. We brought our own drinks so we never did hang out at the very nice bar. We were there to get some rest and enjoy our private suite. Wink, wink. Some of the activities were limited due to the winter weather. The grounds crew did a great job cleaning up from the light snow and ice on one of the over nights.
I mentioned that we took extras. We brought our own fire logs, blender for frozen drinks for the wife, mini coffee pot, alcohol, snacks, sandwich items, bubble bath, basic cleaning wipes, candles, matches. We brought too much. There was a small, standard, hotel room coffee brewer, in our room. The coffee was replenished the one morning the Housekeeper freshened our suite while we were at breakfast.
The Champagne Tower sauna tub did take about an hour to fill with mostly hotter water. It is a good size tub. I tried to go easy on the bubble bath. By the time the timer shut off on the sauna, it was "Mount Bubble." It was fun. We used the pool and bedroom area the most. If you want to jump into the sauna, I recommend turning it on at least five minutes before entering and closing the door for maximum efficiency. The fire place was clean, but we never got to it. We meant to spend time downstairs, we just didn't get to it. The option was there.
Again, our suite was not pristine and in cruise ship condition. It was not a dump. It was nice. We used to make fun of Cove Haven Resorts. Paradise Stream was closest to us coming from Maryland. We had a great time. We intend on going back and trying the Garden of Eden Apple Suite.
We stayed during the week. It was nice to have less of a crowd while still being able to participate in some activities. The staff were all really friendly. Our room had a small pool and fireplace in one part, a heart-shaped jacuzzi in the room (note to future me: use less Mr Bubble next time). Breakfast and dinner were included in our stay.
Absolutely beautiful property with tons of activities to keep you busy. The rooms are a fantasy getaway for couples. I loved my stay, will be back soon :)
Staff and service were excellent. Activities are plentiful. As part of Forever Lovers Club we were able to upgrade to Champagne Towers. Only down side was the a/c didn't cool down upstairs. Maybe could improve on maintenance of suites. Showing wear and tear. For the prices you pay, maintenance shouldn't be an issue. Overall we had a fun time. A little pricey for a weekend stay.
We had a wonderful experience!! The only issue was when we arrived the front desk girl did not explain to us how things worked and did not activate our keys properly..
Friendly staff. Small, private pool in our room. Nice amenities. Out of the way location that's not too out of the way. Great that it's couples only. Not the cleanest, there were ants on the desk in the room. Not the newest, looks like it was designed in the late 60s. Food is okay, not something to make the trip for.
Amazing place! Just do it if you are still wondering, we completely enjoyed! We stayed in the champagne tower cause y all the special one for the honeymoon but watch out ! Before you use the champagne glass (the jacuzzi) it s hard to clean and the maids leave hairs and who knows what else you have to call or let them know in the lobby to clean it up while you are there. The food was awesome I don t know the outdoor activities but the room is awesome we recommend it !
I brought my girlfriend here as a Valentine's Day/Anniversary surprise and we absolutely loved it and everything about it. We stayed in the Champagne Towers which was so wonderful and fun to be in. The room was nice and clean and neat and everything in the room worked very well. We went to dinner where the service was very good and respectful and the food was also good. We did not have any problems with our stay at all it was wonderful. We also went to a comedy show inside the nightclub which was very funny and the service was also very good there. Overall this was a great experience and to show my appreciation I gave out a lot of tips to the staff for making our stay as memorable and wonderful as possible. I would recommend Paradise Stream to all couples as well as others , especially the Champagne Tower sweets. I'm only 20 years old and I'm very picky but everything was great. Me and my special lady plan on making this an every year thing because it's very fun and there's so much to do there as well as off the premises. Thanks for a wonderful experience.
We just went this past weekend for my boyfriends birthday. Our room had to be changed after a long flight and drive because of the cleanliness of the room. We had to move all of our things out at 930pm when we only just wanted to relax and enjoy each other's company as it doesn't happen as much as we'd like as he is in the military. In the second room it was cleaner but the condition of the walls in the bathroom (paint peeling, wall paper coming off, dirty floor behind the door etc.) wasn't very appealing. It was his birthday so I ordered a cake to be delivered at dinner..the waitress was very rude from the beginning (the rest of the times we dined out service was excellent) she seemed as if it was a bother anytime we asked her for anything, took forever to do anything and had an attitude the entire time. It turned something that was supposed to be special into a very bad experience. My boyfriend and I were very upset over the service but tried to make the best of it. When it came time for dessert she came over and asked him what he would like, I tried to descreetly tell her that I ordered our dessert already. She proceeded to rudly say "oh good job now you ruined the whole surprise" i mentioned nothing about the cake just simply I picked a dessert for us, but her rude and out of line comments ruined what I was trying to make a special night for him. I've stayed with you guys on numerous occasions (we are forever lovers) and have never encountered such behavior. I would never expect this from you guys and considering choosing another place in the future to celebrate any special occasion or romantic getaway.
The cornerstone of this resort is definitely the champagne tower suites. Nowhere else have I seen an en-suite pool and two-story jacuzzi. Very romantic, eclectic and different. My husband and I went to this resort knowing that is would be out-dated and "retro." It is a shame that the management doesn't invest in fixing up the place, because the couples only, love theme is very appealing. Beyond the rooms, the resort has a few amenities-tennis, biking, hiking, but nothing to keep you entertained for more than a day. Plus all of the sports equipment is completely old and dilapidated. The food is mediocre at best- mostly Sysco packaged, frozen meals are served. There is no culinary element of freshness in the food. Overall, visit the Paradise Stream Resort for the room experience, but I wouldn't recommend staying for more than a day or two, especially for the price.
This was our 3rd time at Paradise Stream. This stay was for 3 nights. We always have a good time, even this time - although we had some issues. We reported housekeeping to the front desk as our bathroom was not cleaned by our second full day. I also developed a stomach problem on that day. Not sure if it was food poisoning. I felt better the following day, which unfortunately was the day we left. WiFi works great in the rooms and main building but not on the external grounds. Also the hot tubs located outside the game room were very nice but the pool was too cold.
We came here for our honey moon 36 years ago. Had a blast and loved the atmosphere. We just love Paradise Stream . We find it fun, exciting, and relaxing! As well as meeting new people. The Lakeside Villa is our Favorite. We will be back for the Fourth of July!!!
What a delightful Valentine's day weekend! I wasn't sure what to expect, but the room was beautiful, clean, completely new and updated with a super comfy bed. The starry ceiling above the heart shaped tub was awesome. Dianne, the Bell Captain /Bartender was so friendly and got us everything we needed. We will definitely be returning! Bonus; mount airy casino is less than 5 minutes away.
I was hesitant about going here after reading reviews. But the room exceeded my expectations. Our room was extremely clean and looked to have just been repainted and touched up with other upgrades. My boyfriend had roses lining the room and balloons set up from the event person which was beautiful! The grounds were clean and presentable. We loved the comedian on Saturday night! The only reason why it s not getting 5 stars is the food. The buffet for breakfast and international night was delicious ! But the rare catch night and the spooners food was okay, but spooners not for the price. I would definitely recommend changing the food prices for spooners and having the sit down dinner be more enjoyable. Besides that i would absolutely go back and we enjoyed our stay!
Room was clean and spacious. Somewhat outdated but still enjoyable. The room had a small pool, hot tub and sauna which did not heat up properly. Nice time playing archery and enjoying the grounds even in the snow. There was a game room and indoor pool and a gift shop.
We had our honeymoon here. The room was great. We enjoyed the meals. We didn't get a lot of info when we arrived as to what we could do or have access to. We didn't know about the bus and being able to go to the other locations. Only found out by chance near the end of our week.
The staff here is very great and friendly!! The rooms are large and food is amazing. We had a wonderful time. It's a nice setting in the snowy Poconos. The room we had came with a large jucuzi tub, a swimming pool, a fireplace and a sauna!! There are plenty of activities to keep you busy during the day also right on site.
We had a blast at this place! I won t bore you too much and will touch on some points from other reviews!
My only real gripe with something being outdated is the bedding/ towels. Were they clean? Yeah. Do they look worn? OH YEAH. That s something that should totally be invested in in my opinion.
I also saw a few complaints about cleanliness... So... the room could ve been vacuumed better. For sure. I found fake eyelashes from a previous guest. House keeping would ve never saw them though without really looking because the room was pretty dark. But had it been vacuumed better- they would ve got them. Surfaces were super clean as well as the champagne glass jacuzzi/sauna/pool. I brought my own Lysol wipes (like I always do when I travel) and wiped everything down just precautionary. Was pleasantly surprised after reading all the awful reviews about cleanliness. The Lysol wipes didn t have any dirt/grime on them. The only thing I was able to find that wasn t clean was the ceiling fan in the stairway. Covered in dust. But let s be real- are your fans SPOTLESS at home? Probably not! Did a dusty fan ruin my trip? Uh no. But it WAS dusty. Just stating a fact.
In summary- it was fun. It was funny. It was a great COVID safe getaway. Would I stay more than one night? Nah. Would I go again? Eh. Maybe if it was a weeknight with a cheaper rate. We paid like 700$ for one weekend night. So was it worth the money? THIS TIME yes it was. Would I pay that AGAIN? No way. I certainly don t regret going though! It was a blast! Would love to try one of the other Cove Haven resorts as well.
Our pizza was purposely altered because we forgot to sign off on a bartab (as we assumed it would simply be charged to our room).
Response: People absolutely do make false allegations and I thought quite a bit before posting this review. When I ordered a chicken wing pizza, I expected some spice. I typically order very spicy food, but have never not been able to eat it because it was too hot. I'm not sure how this can happen accidentally. As I don't drink, my judgement was in-tact. I'm a little taken aback by this response. This is the first time I've seen a hotel publically act in this manner. I've attached a screenshot of your response to the original post and will be contacting the hotel.
it was a very nice experience so quiet and peaceful well worth it...only issue i had was i paid cash at the end of my stay and they also charged my credit card...i called the front desk and they said they will rectify it but hasnt happened yet
Honeymooned there in 1975. Still have such wonderful memories. I won all the trophies for the different events. My husband passed away 3 yrs ago after a 40 yr marriage. I still have the memories and photos of that beautiful experience.
As the post I just read I would also give this a zero if possible; WARNING - Stay Away!!! The best advise I can provide is they should knock this place down and rebuild; It might be nice during warmer weather but the posted pictures are More
Wifey and i loved the place.Very romantic, pool in the room, hot tub and king size bed.Outdoor activities included paddleboat, outdoor music in front of a warm controlled fire with drinks.Video game room, archery and a nice private walk around the grounds with my wife. You must include all meals in your stay or you will definitely pay extremely high to eat and by the way, dinner is really not all that. All in all,its a nice get-away.
My husband and I were excited to go to paradise streams we fell in love with it from the pictures online. We arrived late to the resort and after checking in we were looking around our room and saw a roach. We went to the front desk and show the clerks the videos and pictures. Front desk did not hesitate to switch our rooms. They did send property management( I believe) her name was Patricia she told me she didn t see the roaches I seen and that it was too cold in Pennsylvania to have roaches it was more likely a water bug because we were surrounded by so much water. ( like that made it any better) . She stated but if you don t feel comfortable you are more than welcome to switch rooms . Which we did upon entering the second room we were satisfied and felt more comfortable. It was late when we arrived and we went to bed only to wake up to numerous ants crawling on us again we took video and pictures, we were so disgusted we didn t even stay for the breakfast buffet we paid for. I will never return or recommend this place to anyone.
My husband and I booked the Diana Oasis suite through Groupon for our 12 year anniversary and while romantic the rooms could use some updates and to be cleaned better. Also, there were ants around the Jacuzzi and when I told the front desk they just said oh, we will showy the room, no offer to accommodate. But still fun
The rooms are as advertised. Whirlpool was excellent, pool was also very nice. The sauna and massage table were a bit lacking. As well as the the tv/radio that are advertised in room. The TV does not have a dvd player, no paid channels are avaliable . Not to mention the paid movies in the room were as expensive as a stay in vegas. We have been to other couples retreats where they have free adult entertainment to make you stay a bit more spicy .
Beyond the room itself the meals are not all inclusive as the websight advertises. We asked about a meal plan and we're told "it depends on who charges you, what kind of package you'll recieve" person at the desk was nice enough but to be told something as lose as this on a 3 day stay that you are spending over 1000.00 for was a bit alarming. Not to mention we did have dinner at the 52.00 price (which was not bad but didn't blow our socks off either ) came with a 3 course meal bit then they had an add on menu where some of the meals were another 32.00 on top of the 52.00 we had already paid?!?!? After that we went to the bar (which has plenty of entertainment the dj was a very fun amenity to our visit) where I ordered a jameson on the rocks which was 14.00 .
The gift shop/spa/take out restaurant were also well over priced. Again on a couples only retreat that had pools and hot tubes robes are a must. They were not included and when we tried to purchase a set it was 199.98 for a set . They were very basic at that. I get that places like this need to make money but gouging your guest at every turn is not how to make repeat buisness . The items in the gift shop are jersey Shore prices for everything. Wine glasses are 11.00 a peice ice buckets 20.00 . Ect.
Overall I'm not saying that we did not have a nice 3 day get away, the staff are all friendly and accommodating (nothing negative I'm saying was due to service) but overall parts of the resort were frankly just super overpriced. Just to give another example that we tried to give everything a fair shot. We ordered take out from the delivery restaurant (their version of room service) for one when I called 3 of the 6 items I tried to order were no longer on the menu (meaning they didn't bother to update the in room menu and the websight doesn't even have it listed ) and I was informed that the prices were all wrong and had gone up. 2 pizza's and fries were over 50.00 . We also tried to get my wife a manicure on site (also listed in the in room menu that was also not updated ) and was told manicures were no longer available.
So we spend over 1000.00 for 3 nights. Tried all that was offered and ended up dissapointed in the lack of items included in the price. We spend another 300.00 for 2 dinners and some glasses. Just felt a bit bamboozled if you will. We did eat out quite a few times as well. While our room/stay was relaxing and very nice time was had by myself and my wife I'm not sure we can afford to return since a 1000.00 dollar 3 day get away turned into nearly 2000.00 before it was all over. Again not the staffs fault they were all lovely and the resort itself is very nice but not as advertised .
It's like sex/couples summer camp! The power went out in the middle of the night and never came back so that was a bummer, but otherwise I'd highly recommend it!
