Caddy Windows Review

Really happy with the installation of my new windows.Installers followed all government guidelines which was a big concern of mine & left my house very clean. There was a small item outstanding but the installation manager picked this up and arranged for this to be sorted, very happy with the service from start to finish.

First time I have felt the need to write a review on Google but the service received from start to finish was of such a high standard I felt the least I could do is pass on in the hope other customers make the right choice.

The showroom is excellent and having chosen the design the quotation, survey and in particular the installation staff were all exceptional in delivering a high quality product at a competitive price.

Would recommend to all without hesitation.

Discussions with the sales team re: door design were very helpful in arriving at the final choice, at what I consider to be a good price. The final door appears very well made & fitted, and am very happy with it.
Special thanks to the installation team - very impressed in their professional approach and quality of the work carried out.

Great service, very professional all round including fitters and store/sales staff. Very competitive prices including a detailed quote broken down per window so we could decide on which ones we wanted done.
Fitters were friendly, efficient, polite and did a great job. My only slight criticism was the dust on the main front room, although they put down dust sheets near the window, they could have put more over the furniture as the dust got everywhere. They did clean up afterwards but only a basic vac and tidy.
I would highly recommend Caddy for their professional service, reliability and great workmanship.

Excellent workmanship, good value for money and reliable

Initially visiting the showroom last year and found the staff friendly and helpful - not at all pushy (not what we were expecting from a window firm).

We got an online estimate and booked a home appointment, sales person was clear and concise, asking what we wanted and providing the options. Not showing us anything that would be out of reach / not fit the bill. The price was reasonable and not at the high end of what we were expecting from searches/quotes.

Once ordered, the surveyor was the same, arrived on time, clear and explained the possibilities and also any problems the fitter might encounter and how they would make it good.

The fitters arrived before 9am on the scheduled date. Covered everything in sight with dust sheets before doing anything and also talked us through options (we chose the one that would create the least mess!). They were both friendly and as tidy as possible.

Finally we were called by the installation manager a couple of days after fitting, to be sure we were happy, before sending the final invoice for the fitting charge. All prices were exactly as quoted as every stage.

You read some horror stories so wanted to share a good one - if we need replacement windows or doors in the future we would definitely get a quote from Caddy's again.

From first contact to signing off the job was fantastic Jamie came to provide a quote and was very informative, he was fully covid compliant and gave us all the details without a hard sale. We paid online which was straight forward and agreed the installation date.
Installed on time and to a very high standard.
Couldn t be happier with the overall service and results.

windows themselves seem fine so far, but fitting experience horrific!

I don t know where to start... from the bombardment phone calls from the sales guy which should have been a red flag, to the mess, shoddy attempt at cleaning up, damage caused to our wood bedroom floor, then the so called installations manager accusing us (having never met us or seen our house) of damaging it ourselves, to the sarcastic email replies to our complaints, and the gaps left under the windows themselves where you can see daylight.... It turns out that others I ve spoken to since have had probs and battles with them too. A large, very lovely and reputable local company we used for some other renovations told me they wouldn t touch them with a barge pole ever again, and I agree - our kitchen windows will be from elsewhere. Wish I d known this before . Not sure where all the good reviews come from. If you do still use caddy - whatever you do, do NOT Pay up front.. We ve spent thousands and been left with a mess. TBC.....

Friendly staff in the showroom and quality of install and windows is great.

From our first dealings with the lovely receptionist when my wife and I visited the showroom (which is really impressive) to receiving our quote from Tracey was stress free and relaxed - no horrible tactics or pushy up selling.

We were offered their best price first time around and at this stage we decided to take advantage of their upfront payment discount which saved us 5%..!

Their surveyor came at a time that suited us and was very detailed and put our minds at rest even more. The fitters arrived on site (on time) every day and left our house clean and tidy.

I can t recommend Caddy Windows highly enough.

Before I confirmed my order with Caddy Windows I asked some key questions re installation namely IS THE TIMBER TREATED (PRIMED) BEFORE INSTALL.
About 6 months on from disastrous install (It took them two attempts to get it "right") I noticed cracks appearing, and now 14 months on I have had an independent carpenter assess.
His report highlighted to me that the timber had not been treated and that the install was of a poor standard.
The pictures speak for themselves.
There is no lack of urgency to deal with issues once they have taken your money and the customer service is poor at best.
I have already started the complaints process with Trading Standards and will be looking at legal action moving forward.
If you choose to use this company I would advise that you draft your own Ts and Cs for them to sign in order to guarantee their work.

Following the defamatory response by Caddy, I have added the initial photos of Attempt 1 (of 2) highlighting the lack of symmetry in the pillars.
Primed windowboards are primed on the wall face (by the installer and as promised by Cowboy Windows)
Caddy were aware of the issue and no doubt had the second installer rectify the initial "bodge job".
There was no structural work, only rendering.
I will be dropping in to have them explain themselves to me personally.(see you all very soon)

The sales rep, Ryan, was extremely helpful, and 100% transparent from the start to the end. No hard sale, no dubious discounts - it was all fair and clear.

Hannah, the installation manager, organised our window fitting according to our wishes and was very accommodating. We were impressed with the clear and timely communication and all regular updates about our order.

Last but not least - we would like to thank Tom for doing a cracking job fitting all our windows as well as two outside doors - all by himself as his colleague got injured before the job was due to start. Tom worked really hard, took hardly any breaks, always arrived on time, was very friendly, tidy and very polite. You could tell he takes great pride in his work and we really appreciate all of his help.

The guys at Caddy Windows did a good installation of some new uPVC windows for a rental property I own over in Kingswood. All the team were a pleasure to deal with from the start and the installation was quick and efficient. The fitters who installed the windows were punctual and finished the job very well. Price was also great too... I will definitely be returning to Caddy Windows for any windows and doors that I need in future.

We couldn't be happier with the service from Caddy Windows, from the service we received at the showroom, the ordering process (including our indecision regarding a cat-flap) and through to installation. Everyone involved was friendly, accommodating and professional. I expect we'll use Caddy Windows again in the future.

Caddy designed and installed a lovely orangery for us and despite a small number of teething problems never gave up and walked away from a problem always putting customer service and satisfaction above all else. On this basis I am left in no doubt that Caddy are the best of the best in the Bristol area and beyond so I cannot recommend Caddy highly enough!

I work in the contracting / insurance industry, and would recommend them for replacement windows, they dealt with the pebble dash exterior very well, the guys were very professional overall, removed and fitted 4 windows, 1 upstairs in under 6 hours, if I had to find fault, it would only be that they could of put some dust sheets downstairs, but apart from that 5 stars, I would definitely use them again and recommend them to others, very good indeed.

When placing my order I was offered a discount if I chose to pay upfront, which I happily accepted. I am always very particular when reading and writing reviews, but credit given where credit due.

We have had a window installed where the old window was ripped out and the tiles around the window have been smashed. The finish on the outside was also terrible. The attitude at first was very poor saying they would fill the smashed tiles?! Caddy have since tried to rectify but sent out the same crew who have still done a less than satisfactory job.

From our first consultation through to installation Caddy Windows were nothing short of perfect. I would recomend them to anyone looking to have new Windows are doors fitted. It goes without saying that I will be using them again for any future work.

Good windows badly fitted, then rectified. No compensation

I would advise against using Caddy Windows if you want a stress-free installation to correct installation standards. Please read below before you commit.

Never the less unfortunately we decided to go with them as the price was comparable to other quotes and the window locks looked better than competitors. Big Mistake.
Day of installation came two men turned up and fitted all 5 windows and the bifold door over 2 days. I let them get on with the work thinking they knew what they were doing and that I had paid for a no hassle installation.
About 2 weeks after the installation I was looking at one of the windows thinking that doesn t look wright, so I removed the trim around the edges of the windows to find not one window had any backfill or foam around them, not one of them was plumb in the opening and not one of them was square. They had not used the correct packers around the frames and had not used enough fixings around the frames they did not adhere to any part of the NHBC guidance for fitting windows. There were scratches to some panes of glass end caps missing off window sills, no drainage holes cut into an addon on bottom of one window the list goes on. The bifold frame was bent by the fitter as he didn t use packers when he did the top fixings, this led to problems with the top seal on the Bifold door, also he removed the damp course membrane and did not replace it.
The two fitters showed an unbelievable level of incompetency and had absolutely no pride in their work covering all their errors with window trim. Also, the quality assurance of their work was non-existent the Boss of the company came around twice while windows were being fitted and didn t notice any problems so if he didn t care who would.
They had made A+ rated windows unrated, the installation was a complete disaster not conforming to any standard and not being energy inefficient. The opposite to what I had paid for. The windows were not fit for purpose.
A week later a service engineer from Caddy windows called to correct problem with Bifold which he did. I now know that the Bifold was fitted incorrectly with no foam around the frame, the service engineer would have known this but said nothing, this is further evidence of lack of competency and honesty he should have said this door is not fitted correctly.
Within 2 weeks of windows being fitted I was issued with Fensa certificates, these were for windows that didn t conform to any standard and were not fit for purpose, I will be notifying Fensa about this.
The boss came around to see the installation for himself after I made a complaint and seemed as upset as I was about the standard of work and the fact that the fitter had basically deceived both of us. He agreed that every window and the Bifold will have to be removed and refitted correctly Also 1 new window will have to be ordered as surveyor was miles out with his assessment and replacement panes because of scratches. All the remedial work has now been completed 7 months after original install.
During meetings with the company owner I broached the subject of compensation for the stress and time (7 days) I have had to commit to this after all it is the fault of Caddy Windows. The answer was a straight no its in our terms and conditions not to pay compensation. I checked it doesn t say this and compensation is discretionary anyway.
I must say Caddy widows have rectify all the faults to a good standard but it took along time. They are committed to putting things wright which is some consolation.

Highly recommend Caddy windows! We had our front door replaced by them today and the entire experience was perfect from start to finish. The sales rep was not at all pushy (completely different to any other door sales rep's we had seen) hence why we chose caddy, the admin team have been really responsive throughout, and the fitter today did the most wonderful job whilst also ensuring there was no damage or mess left. The door quality and fitting is perfect.

Scott and Stewart the fitters were extremely courteous and helpful and their installation of the windows and door was completed to a very high standard of workmanship. This in combination with being meticulously tidy made for a very smooth installation and minimum disruption over the 2 days of fitting.
